Daren quickly jumped away from his master's side and ingnited his lightsaber. He ran towards the Jedi's location feeling his energy. As he ran he calmed himself saving his energy. He feared what Xavier might do but this was something he could let pass them by. Whatever His lord's plans for the for the Jedi. Making their numbers less would be make it easier. He saw the Jedi's green blade and got into an agressive stance, "I am here Jedi." Daren calmed himself and focused. His eyes turned a deep orange and his hate filled him.

"Yes, you are..." Lon slowly dropped into the Juyo stance he had mastered over the years. He locked eyes with the Dark Jedi. The black looked into the orrange ones fileld with hatred. Lon waited patiently for the man's attack.

Daren stood watching the Jedi's every move. He was ready for this one. He wanted to be careful and not make a stupid move. He wanted to let the Jedi make the first move. He stood ready and waiting. He was building his energy in the force. Whatever happened he was going to hit this jedi with an attack he wouldn't live to ever get a chance to forget about. He Smirked and laughed, "Your move Jedi!"

Lon smirked slightly, then ran at the man. He struck at his legs first, then brought his lightsaber up in a green swirl, attempting to cut an arm off, maybe the head.

A Jedi had come out? A Bothan at that. Grawn chuckled as he watched Daren and the Bothan join blades, sparks flying. A interesting match up, but if he had to put his money on either of them, it would be Daren. Grawn had seen at first hand the Dark Jedi's potential, while this Bothan had run out like a fool, most likely tired from his ordeals in the tomb, the Dark Jedi were rested. It took little thought of who would most likely win this battle, so Grawn watched casually as the two fought. When his battle came, he would make sure he would enjoy every minute of it. His sabers called for his hands to wield them, cutting through flesh and bone as if it was butter and watch the life flow from his chosen victim.
He shook his head, calming himself. Korriban affected him as it did all users of the Force but it was hard to tell when it was happening. Grawn did, however, love the feel of power as he fought on the dead soil of this planet. The pure exstacy of it was almost overwhelming, as he recalled his fight with the mercenarys outside of Ibapos hideout. The energy he had felt as he shocked the life out of the mercenary, enjoying every moment as he watched the life leave his eyes. It was glorious.
Grawns eyes burned with the darkside as he watched them. Waiting for his chance for blood.

Xavier keeping quiet as the events passed, he did not tell Daren what to do because he knew he would do it anyway. Daren needed to draw blood, Xavier could feel it dwell inside of him. As Daren intercepted the jedi who was using the juyo form, he reached out to Daren using the force "He is using the Juyo form.. he is an imbocile, its an incomplete form and can never be mastered.. use Soresu, it will tire him out."
The battle waged on, Xavier taking slow steps towards the duel, with each step came a heavy thud. He wasn't going to fight the jedi, the jedi was inferior to him, it would only be a waste of useful energy. No, instead he wanted to look into the eyes of the jedi. Hestood roughly 15 feet from the pair, his arms folded behind his back, standing still like a statue.

((OOC: Where is Jeh'rad? Did he go AWOL?))
Ryn tried to stop Lon from running out alone, it was no good to throw away a life for nothing, but "Lon! No!" was all that he managed to yell before the Bothan was out of the door. Ryn turned to the two masters, Beleran and Took "Well, it looks like we are in for a fight..." Ryn said, his Coruscanti(British) accent really coming through. The Jedi Knight turned solumnly and began to walk out to the entrance of the tomb.
When Ryn exited the tomb he saw Lon engage a Dark Jedi in combat, however to his dismay, he could not assist his fellow Knight, the combat was so close and enraged that he was just as likely to kill Lon than the Dark Jedi. Suddenly, Ryn recalled Grawn's challenge, within half a second the lightsaber was ignited and within his grasp. "COME GET ME DARK JEDI!!!" Ryn bellowed, his deep voice echoed off of the canyon walls, increasing its level of intimidation.

Xavier took a few steps back to allow the current battles that will commence to take place, he looked to Cassandra and pointed her to Daren in a gesture to aid him. Then he simply pointed to Tesa and made a gesture for her to stand by his side, he spoke to Tesa and Cassandra through the force "Cassandra, help Daren, Tesa on me"
Xavier turned to look back at the jedi, his arms crossed, his body lifeles slooking as he stood like a statue.

Daren blade met with the Jedi, he took his master's advice and fought using Soresu. He was holding his own with the Jedi who was being weakened significantly. He wouldn't have to do much to defeat him. He laughed as he advanced upon his foe. "The Jedi order is weak, but you are just pitiful!" Daren then felt his master call Cassandra to help him. He sent a message to his master, "IS that REALLY neccassary! I think I have it under.." Their blades met again and Daren laughed, "Getting desprate Jedi...I'm getting warmed up!" He kicked the Jedi down to the ground and quickly advanced. He kept his blade back and laughed manically sending a storm of electricity and drain together. The purple and Blue lightinging consumed The Jedi. His screams echoed throught the Valley even the harsh wind couldn't hide his pain or Daren's insane laughter.

Pain... and laughing... that was all Lon remembered before the darkness consumed him. He had regrets and fears, yes. His regrets were never getting to know his family, never knowing the truth, and finally this rock being his final resting place. His fears, oh how many there were, he feared for his fellow Jedi, he feared the Dark Side's influence, what it did to a person. He felt the lightsaber slip away, the last strand to this world he had was now gone and he was floating. Floating it seemed in nothingness. He knew what this was, however. He had achieved what all Jedi wish to achieve, he had become the Force itself. and, in a way, Lon Ka'jaire, Bothan Jedi Knight - Sentinel had died.

Daren laughed one final time before ending his attack. He felt extremely powerful not an inch of weakness. He frowned looking down to the Jedi he bowed and took his oppenents lightsaber. He then closed his oppenents eyes and whispered in his ear, "Rest in peace...with the force...even if you were blind to it." He rose and looked around expecting to be ambushed by the rest of the Jedi. When he wasn't he rose his hood and looked towards Xavier. Daren's expression was emotionless, he had proven himself worthy without a doubt. He had also proved this new generation of Jedi were weak and stupid.

Grawn smiled wickedly as the Jedi Ryn, bellowed his challenge. It was good to know that the Jedi had SOME backbone, though futile in the end. Battle began to rage around him but he took no notice, staring into the eyes of the Jedi as the two took sight of each other. Replacing the Sith mask upon his face, Force vision coming back, he began to walk towards the Jedi. The dead soil beneath him crunched as his boots hit the ground, with each step, he drew upon the Dark side of Korriban. He wouldnt lose this time, not to Ryn, not to any Jedi.
Using the Force effortlessly, Grawns lightsaber floated to his gloved hand, when it hit his palm he gripped it tightly and continued to draw power. His lightsaber in hand, he ignited it, the blood red blade snapped hissed into existence and began to hum. "I have waited for a long time for this, Jedi.", he stated simply and he continued his approach, his cloak cape fluttering with the wind. Images of his defeat at this Jedi's hand came in flashes, angering him and causing his fury to boil. By the time, he was in striking distance, he was furious, the Dark side flowed through him and it was effortless to command it thanks to the mask he wore.
"Prepare for death. I will take great pleasure in watching your life leave your eyes as my lightsaber cleaves your flesh and bone.", he growled and pointed his lightsaber at the Jedi.
"Lets finish this."

Xavier looked down to the corpse of the now deceased jedi knight, raising only a slight eyebrow before looking back towards the tomb. He was still waiting, he could feel far more powerful jedi inside.. these knights that kept seeping out were nothing but an annoyance to Xavier and would of easily killed them himself.. but you don't have a dog and bark yourself as the aged old expression goes.
"Impressive.. but do not think ahead of yourself..that jedi was weak and foolish.. i doubt you would survive on your own against the jedi that remain inside..i would stay near by if you wish to survive.." Xavier stated to Daren through the force.

Daren nodded, "I know my master, why I took advantage of the chance." He smirked and spun his lightsaber in his hand before returning it to his belt, "I needed a warm up, that Jedi served his purpose. The other Jedi will be massacared my Lord. Grawn will handle the one, or at least weaken him. The others shall flee or die." Daren said after deep consideration, "The Jedi are ready to be toppled. We have sent our message." Daren stood hands crossed over his chest. Awaiting his next foe, He would heed his master's advice and stick close. He would not die this day or let his master be killed. His compaions he would try to protect as well but Xavier was his main concern. Without him his teaching of the force would be significantly halted and he wouldn't have that. Daren focused on the task ahead and built his power back up from the preivous battle.

Yawning boredly, Cassandra had ignored the Command made by her Master and brother. She had seen this Jedi's Future, and she was not to be involved in his end. Crossing her legs, she stretched, then stood, her staff supporting her as she took a deep breath, concentrating, focusing the Force around her Diminutive, Malnourished form. Casting her Eyeless Gaze to Daren, she held out a hand, a flow of Warmth and peace flowing from her soul itself. Be in peace now she said, her voice confident as the tip of her staff, triggered by a finger placement, ignited with a Snap-hiss, Pink fire erupting from it like a plasmid blade. I will handle anyone else she told him, standing tall, her spine popping as she straightened up.

Post by Vreem Took on Nov 26, 2008 14:08:51 GMT -5
“Resist the urge to combat him Ryn, the anxiety stemming from the ground can easily lead us to make foolish actions. And sadly, these tombs are only built with one way in or out. However, there may be a hidden route, although we may not find one before our supplies run out. It looks like getting off this rock without some of confrontation will be impossible; I think this armour will only serve to slow me down.” So on the spot, as Jeh’rad still lay caught up in the tomb’s trap and the others sat around waiting, Vreem slid his armour off to reveal his lower robes, he hadn’t been fully able to shed all of his customary clothing. Out of his back pack he pulled the rest of his gear and put them on, not forgetting to pull his lightsabers out of the armour first, as he hooked them back on, he came to regard their situation.
Outside he could sense the users of the Dark Side, he knew their taint well. They were varied in strength and given the presence of three Masters; the battle would be likely to sway in their direction. The longer the Dark Jedi waited, the tougher their fight would get, because that way the Jedi had time to recover, complete their mission and then break through will full force. Yet the Dark Jedi were wise to wait as well, for if they followed in as deep as the Jedi, they would come under the effects of the tomb’s trap. Only a Sith would be able to counter the techniques of another Sith.
But still, as they sat around waiting for Jah’red to come out of his comatose state, the aura seeping in between the cracks of the wall and ground were slowly eating away at the Jedi. Vreem knew the feeling well as the Dark Side emanating from the planet would make things more difficult for them.
Eventually, it got to them, and Vreem found himself unable to stop what followed, despite his best efforts. First to act was Lon who muttered about causing a distraction before running out of the tomb, “Lon! Wait!”! Vreem’s voice echoed, the sound failing to reach the Knight’s ears. Ryn was quick to follow in an attempt to stop Lon, yet when he reached the outside of the caves, Vreem could feel the effects of the planet alter his mind set, making his lust for battle kick in.
Cursing furiously in his head, Vreem looked from Jeh’rad, to the way out, to Jace. When he spoke his voice was controlled as he managed to push back the effects of the Dark Side. “Master Beleren, it seems as though this world was too strong, in the end I had little effect upon Lon and Ryn. However, all is not in Vain, wait for Jeh’rad to wake up and when he does, complete the mission, find what you came here for, don’t let this all be for nothing. I will try and help Lon and Ryn before it is too late. May the Force be with you.”
Once he had finished speaking Vreem turned and headed for the tomb’s exit, he was slightly worn out from the mental experience he’d had, but he always had a knack for pulling something from up his sleeve, that’s how he’d survived so far.
When he finally exited the cave he was greeted by two things, both the overbearing Sun and the scene of Lon’s death to the hands of one of the Dark Jedi. He felt as the small beacon of light in the swarm of darkness suddenly vanished, forever. “No!” He cried, hand raised, trying to grasp towards Lon as his legs would no longer move. After watching the smoking lifeless body hit the ground, Vreem had to cut himself off from his emotions, too easily would he get caught up in them on this world. His anger dissipated like the smoke which fluttered off of Lon’s corpse. Ryn, Ryn was to become Vreem’s thought for concern now; he had cruelly severed the link between himself and his emotions, allowing him to coldly assess the landscape before him. Ryn was in the distance, fighting with one of the Dark Jedi, but Vreem’s main concern were the four Dark Jedi who stood between himself and the duelling adversaries. As of yet none of them had attacked him, but that could change at any moment, especially with his cry, no doubt that had gained him their attention. He doubted that he was as of yet good enough with Makashi to combat four Dark Jedi, he had practiced before but unless he could remove a few of them rather quickly then he’d probably be done for. But right now he stood waiting, the distance in between them would provide him with the opportunity to draw his weapon should they attack.

Xavier opened his eyes slowly as the jedi master had approached. But stillhe remained like a statue, Xavier was no fool, he had fought jedi before and he indeed was one before his life of darkness, his gaze turned to the jedi before him, he reached out with the force and spoke to vreem "Find what you were looking for, jedi?..for you will only find the faint smell of death and decay in this valley.."
Xavier looked to his three students, signalling for them to hold their ground and not attack, vreem was Xavier's and Xavier's alone. He looked back to the jedi master, the wind picking up slightly now. His cape attached to his shoulders now fluttering behind him.
"Your scent in the force smells like my old master's...Bail Changa..weak and pitiful jedi" Xavier started to pace back and forth for a moment before slowly raising his right arm to point at vreem "Master Jedi..I, Lord Xavier Libertas...shall be the alpha to your omega!"

Jace just stood there in shaking his head, there was nothing to say, nothing to do. The force had handed him a cruel fate which he would have to deal with for the rest of his life, should he make it out of here alive.
So young, so foolish, yet so brave
Jace held his hand out about to tell Lon to stop but he knew words would not stop him. He knew that Ryn was conflicted inside, and he watched as Ryn chased after Lon and of course to meet his Dark Jedi. Then just cringed as he felt Lon's presence in the force disappear and he automatically knew what had happened.Jace just shook his head and then looked at Vreem as he ran off
"Vreem! Do not throw your life away carelessly! Lon has already sacrificed himself, do not dishonor his sacrifice by dying yourself!"
Jace yelled these words to Vreem as he ran out, and he hoped that Vreem would take them to heart. Jace looked back at Jeh'rad who still seemed to be dealing with his inner battle. He was unsure what to do, he sensed that there a powerful dark jedi out there. There was one who Ryn was fighting, and one who he assumed Lon had died fighting. He stilled sensed two other presences, he knew Ryn and Vreem would have trouble if they decided to make a move. He looked back at Jeh'rad, and the answer came straight to him. The elder jedi would be furious if he knew that Jace was actually was even contemplating staying here with him. Jace ran towards the entrance of the tomb and finally made it there. He exited the tomb and the bright sun was the first thing that hit him.
He gathered the surroundings quickly and he saw Vreem and Ryn both engaging or about to engaging their opponents. Jace's hand remained relaxed at his side as he looked for the other two. He would not leave his brothers in arms to fight and die alone.

Daren kept his distance from his master. He could tell Xavier wanted this Jedi for himself. Daren watched as Grawn engaged his old foe and smiled. The Jedi were fools, facing the Dark Jedi on their homeworld one by one. They should have fought together now seperated they'd fall. Daren would stay close by incase Xavier would need him but he doubted that. He noticed a third Jedi Fourth Jedi Emerge from the cave and felt his power. He couldn't fight this one alone, he was definatly a master. He wouldn't risk fighting him, He'd wait for him to give him no choice. He watched the new Jedi intently hopeing Tesa or Cassandra would be able to assist him. Daren hadn't lost much strenght fighting the Bothan but he didn't want to die on this planet or on this day.

Tesa stood by quietly, her eyes level with the action that had taken serious heat around her. She reached up with a hand and pinched the edge of her hood, pulling it further down her forehead some. Something was knocking on the walls of her sanity. Tesa was finding it took a great deal of self-discipline to refrain from alighting her hands with wind and electricity.
Like a howling mountain dog, the cage she held the dark side in rattled wildly. An inmate, screaming the injustice of the imprisonment. It reared its powerful head and shook it like the mane of a giant cat, lifting its voice to roar challenge and a lust for battle. The corners were scratched at like tiny rats clawing their way to get out.
The draw of the dark side was such a powerful one. Tesa smiled in the cowl of shadows around her face. She loved it. All the feels of injustice when one was allowed to show off their talents, rattling the doors for she longed to be in that place. She wanted to howl the challenge, pounce on prey, bite into flesh. She held back, the tips of hers fingers twitching as if clawing at the container.
It had been far too long since her last duel or fight. Far too long. She had almost forgotten what it felt to be consumed with all raw energy of the dark, caressed by the Force as it prepped her for a war that was doomed to explode. Little voices of past lessons worth paying attention to, the key highlights or words of a past master’s, or just a simple reminder word that kept Tesa attuned. The little voices were Tesa’s pre-battle meditation. They floated in her head with such vivid reminder she was sure she could feel the breath brush against her ear. They would always speak to her during these times.
Wear down the opponent… Play, taunt, take pleasure in their misery… You possess such a gift so few have a choice in having, apply it evenly. Do not tire yourself… Wary of the lightsaber, a simple cut can end your life… Always check behind you.
”Tesa, on me.”
She was wrenched from her trance almost violently at the closeness of this voice. Of course, the owner of the voice was still alive. He had not passed on in her life. The past voices vanished like a dream. Tesa could see through her eyes again and was not clouded with imaged reminders or imagination at its wildest. She was watching the end of Daren’s battle. His maniacal laughter made Tesa’s face split just a little wider. Someone else enjoyed the effects of lightning as well. But, she noted, he used lightsaber. She would not be.
The apprentice had not noticed just how far Xavier had gone from her until just then. She had been standing by, supposedly been watching this battle. With a quick little head toss to jerk her mind back to the present, she forced her feet in a nice quick jog to Xavier’s side, responding with action instead of sound.
The Jedi died without much to think on distress. Tesa frowned at this. No life to torture with? No endless feelings of pain, remorse, sadness, distress, despair? There was nothing to feed on if you just cleaved your lightsaber through their chest. Their life left instantly! No, that wouldn’t do. Not for Tesa. She needed those last minute feeling and thoughts to thrive on. When the end arrived and the opponent was on their knees, it was her spice.
A Jedi followed out and the being she had sensed earlier that steered clear of her and her companions except for a brief mind message engaged him. Her attention shifted once more as a third emerged. This was so much better than rocking back and forth. It was also more entertaining.
Xavier held a hand to them when the third had shown his face, seeing the bothan slain had caused him to cry out. For a moment, his emotions showed and then they were gone: quickly. Tesa sized him as a master, powerful and more in control than the last two who had dashed out almost head strong, crying their challenges and having only a faint taste for battle around them. This one… this one was much different. He didn’t necessarily want a battle, but he was willing to go toe to toe with a Dark Lord on their home planet for some other reason that Tesa would never quite understand.
When the fourth arrived in the open, Tesa’s breath drew in. Xavier was engaging this third one. This other one was nearly as strong and he was currently stunned by the bright of the sun. His head went to side to side, looking for his fellow people.
Her eyes flickered only subtly at Daren, who currently stood beside her. She was already moving to cover Xavier from the tomb’s entrance, giving the powerful Force sensitive people a wide berth. She would not have this fourth Jedi think he could help his comrade against her master.
Those voices started to talk again. She could only hope Daren was following.
