"Well, I would be more of an interim Senator until one stepped up. I would still serve as Prime Minister until a new Senator stepped forward." Julius thought aloud.
He swirled his drink around and sipped it lightly. He thought about how war would help his finances, both those he reported and his secret accounts. Apparently his money would at least triple by the war, but his network of spies and bounty hunters would likely profit and thus he would. People would seek arms and protection, that he could offer. He had no qualms against war profiteering. In fact, the thought swirled in his mind that he would profit greatly from the chaos of war as his friend pointed out. Operating would be easier, and the monarch would likely accept the marriage sooner to ensure stability in the realm.
He smiled again and sipped his drink, "Yes it is true, Corellia will be at the heart of it. I will have to make sure the monarchy is strong enough to survive. As prime minister I will make sure that we have adequet arms and soldiers for the war. I will not allow the system to fall to unfavorable conditions." He sipped his drink again, nearly finishing it.

Donald nodded and sipped his water, " "Corellia has been ready, upgrades will make us a superpower. We need to be strong as an example for the Republic. The rest of the Republic however is not ready, some are close others like Alderaan are far away. We will need to show them what is coming." Donald nodded to a painting of a great battle above Coursaunt. He looked closer to the picture and noticed two things, the first he liked it very much the second, "One of your own paintings?"

Julius shook his head no, "That was done by a close friend..."
He thought about being an example. It was very true, and other systems might request business from him. He nodded his head. "Yes, an example. We will show them how loyal systems prepare for war. The republic will come to rely on Corellian business even more..."
He thought of the implications. He could profit monetarily and politically from war preperations.

Donald nodded and smiled, "The Republic needs that. Without it the systems will fall like a house of cards." He took a sip of his water and looked around the room. A mounement to the achivements of Julius and his planet. Corellia had prospered with this two men leading it. Hopefully the Galaxy could follow with them at the head of it. Donald nodded again, "There is still time. The Sith are preparing to make their move. I'm not sure what it will be but it won't be too dramatic but it will be apparent then that there is no turning back." Donald had thought about what this move might be. He hoped Julius would be interested but he wouldn't have much to say even if he was. He also hoped Julius had an oppion.

Julius considered the "Sith" final move. He had searched for why they had named themselves after an obscure sect that had been known to give the galaxy trouble in the past. Perhaps they were claiming the name to garnish the history attached to it, and if that were true, he feared for the worst. Likely, they would strike unexpectedly and in massive numbers to catch the Republic off guard, or try to infiltrate the Republic for dissenters. Either way or both, would serve their purposes well. He would have to be careful how he approached this, for he had to do what was in Corellia's - and his - best interest. The war scare would bring business, as it was now, but if Corellia was to serve as shining examples of the Republic, he would be putting her at risk to be targeted by the enemies. Perhaps he would simply support the Republic economically and keep the Corellian Fleet inside the Corellian sector to protect the system, he would have to consult with the monarch he presumed.
"Perhaps, although in the past they have struck at the most inopportune and least expected moment. I believe that if we let our guard down for even a moment, they will fall upon us. We must be prepared at all times, if only to keep them at bay." he supposed, in a very neutral tone as if either way he did not mind.
He ate a little of the food that arrived and looked back over to his friend and said, "Corellia's position, while vital, may be endangered if we take our role to publicly and noticeably with the rest of the galaxy. If it were me attacking the Republic, Corellia would be at the heart of my strategy. Then again, we are at the heart of the galaxy, it would be most difficult to conquer all the way here, which would provide us adequate time." he was still just thinking out loud, merely for the purpose of conversation. These things seemed so removed that any seriousness of conversation had been lost.

Donald thought about what Julius said and then when he was sure his friend was done continued, "Yes, of course we'd become targets. I would hope our defenses would be able to hold them back. If they attacked us first which would be impossible we'd have our full fleet here and able to press them back. Now on the other hand, if war does break out. Our fleet will be scattered across the galaxy. This would leave us vunirable as a planet. We'd have to amass a large fleet. At least double our current numbers so we can offer the Republic ships and protect ourselves." Donald laughed and looked to Julius who was barely touching his food, "Do you have that much money?"
