Rook had been surprised with how busy his first few days had been. He had expected to be eased in to his new post, but in reality, it was more like an unceremonious shove. But it would be a lie to say that he hadn't enjoyed the work. It was a strange thing. One would expect a prince, third born as he was, to be annoyed by the prospects of a heavy work load. But in actuality, he reveled in it. Sure, most of it was monotonous paper work, but just to have something productive to do put an extra bounce in his step.
And it was with these light feet that Rook finished his work at his desk and made his way to where Senator Kail's transport was being prepped for his journey to meet with the Mandalorians. Rook wished he could go with Donald, but he had to stay here and represent Corellia at the upcoming Senator's Gala. Donald might miss the party, if his negotiations lasted too long, so it was important that Rook be present.
After checking with the crew, Rook made his way to where Donald currently was in a meeting. The door slid open silently and Rook entered the room during an apparent lull in the conversation. He moved around the table until he was standing next to where Donald sat.
Senator, your transport is ready to go when you are. He said, handing Donald a datapad with all the information about the trip. He then took a step back away from the table. Rook had a right to be in the room, of course, so he wasn't nervous or intimidated, but the meeting had already been going for a while, no need to jump in now when he didn't know what had been going on. So instead, he propped himself up against the wall to watch the rest of the meeting from the sidelines.
