Senator's Gala

While not a battle, this event is quite major and deserving of a thread here.

I was originally going to send out PMs to people with an IC invitation, but let's face it folks.... I'm lazy.

So here's the deal:

This is an all call for people who have characters that might be considered important enough to be invited to the annual Senator's Gala. Not everyone will be allowed, however, so I don't want to see bounty hunters and the like crashing the party. I don't want to sound exclusive but... well, this is an exclusive party.

Characters that are invited:

Senators (Obviously)
HIGH ranking Military Personnel (I'm talking the head honchos)
Jedi High Council Members (Don't know how many will actually come but...)


People who have a character that does not fit in the above three categories, but believe their characters might qualify, can petition to join here, but must be approved before posting, otherwise, I'll be deleting posts... and I don't want to do that.


This party is for networking in a leisurely way. While high class manners and dress are still required, the general atmosphere is more relaxed. There will be drinking and dancing, and maybe even a gambling area set up for the more daring attendees! This event is meant to be a fun RP, so come with a good attitude and ready to PARTY!

Also, FOUR Jedi are requested for aid in security. If you would like to participate, you must have a Jedi who is already approved. I'm going to do this first come first served, so... yeah!

This will be starting at our leisure.

I'm going to say that this thread, being more of a "for fun" thing than any real plot line, is going to be an out of plot thread. So don't worry if your character is "technically" somewhere else... just be aware for your own reference when this takes place for your character (i.e. before or after a meeting or trip, etc.)

Do you want RepSec there as well as the Jedi, or just Jedi as Security?

Both. The three Jedi are there to add to the security... and to let the people inside feel even more safe.

I think I'll have Vreem attend, would be a good idea to have him know some of the Senators and people of importance who are not Jedi. Of course, if any of the Council members or guards want to chat then I'll be up for that. Anyone in particular want me to rp with them, wont be writting the post for a little while yet.

Umm, I'd like to be a Jedi Security Personnel, but my Jedi Weapons master is stuck in another thread. I don't know the policy of having your character in more than one thread at a time?

I would assume if your jedi isn't in a big battle thread, and is on Coruscant, that it would be ok for you to be part of the jedi security personnel.

Mods could say something else entirely, though, so...

It all depends on where on the timeline your two threads would lie. If they're not simultaneous, it would be okay.

Depending on what is going on in the other thread, the gala can be before or after it.

The Gala is out of time line so that people can participate without throwing off their own character's place in the time-space continuum. So yes, your character can be on security.

If you'd like my little Sihara there, I could send her in as security...she and Damien might have something interesting to talk about since Sihara's the one there to oversee Aunna's transfer and all.

Just another thing I'm sticking my hand into since Donald doesn't seem to want to appear for tha Gala ~_~ *shakefist* besides, Sihara's not a 'people person' and it would be interesting to see how she reacts to the situation.
