Sparrow Imma have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. IF we include our own universe it would be so much easier to relate to and we would already have over 8000 years of recoded history before the timeline of the game.

Well, I'm coming from the perspective that for Game purposes we have to have humans and because of that we might as well make those humans from earth and capitalize on the low levels of repute people have with our universe.

I would suggest having Earth having been completely lost and/or otherwise destroyed to avoid those sorts of nuisances. That's what we did on WWC, but that was all crossovers in a single universe.

Inter-galactic societies never made any sense to me, because the galaxy is an absolutely huge place. People don't realize how much stuff is in our quadrant of the galaxy alone. So don't bring the scope out too far. Do more with far less.
