Jedi Mission: Explosive Rumors [Discussion & OoC]

Mission Name: Explosive Rumors
Mission Participants: Atu Soka (Cavalry King), Rhissai'arckan (Dire Wolf), Duros (Duros?), Padawans
Location: Duros
Mission briefing: The Jedi Council has gotten word from concerned politicians, including the Duros Senator, of some trouble brewing around one of the shipyards orbiting the planet of Duro. The rumor is that a group of rogue or dark Jedi have overthrown control of the shipyards. The citizens are worried that more bloodshed might commence if these dark Jedi decide to take over more of the shipyards. But the rumor that worries them the most is the fact that when their ship was scanned upon entering the system (before they attacked), an explosive device was found on board.

Alrighty, you guys probably read the mission briefing. Pretty cool that there will be two Council members on this trip. Rounds out nicely two, One Guardian type master, and the other Consular. I have a new padawan, so I guess he will tag along, but he might be too young and I haven't gotten a chance to train him plus he hasn't posted in a few days. But I guess thoughts and ideas?

Well, Duros has been inactive... so it may just be me and you (and the pada). Rhiss was going to be picking up a padawan fairly soon, but obviously this will probably be up before the thread can start, let alone be done. So yeah.

Anyways, how are our heroes going to go about disarming the bomb without training?

First you have to disarm the crazy Barabel and human Dark Jedi.

and yeah, Mara >.> I have a feelin' that they will end up disarmed if Rhiss fights 'em... she wouldn't kill a soul... <.< not a sentient one anyways.

Who says we have to disarm the bomb? Bring it back to the Republic for study and possible implementation. (Find out where the stuff came from etc.) But if we have to disarm, I am sure we could just shoot it into a black hole or a sun somewhere if we can't find someone to do it.

As for my paddy, as I said, he hasn't posted in a while and is only 12. Still wields a practice saber so I am concerned if he come even come, although Jedi are supposed to bring there paddys on missions so I am not sure what to do.

The Dark Jedi shouldn't be too much trouble for two masters (unless they are also masters), but we shouldn't kill them until we get information about why they are doing this, a single act of terrorism wouldn't make sense, but if they wanted to hurt Republic shipping for a bigger purpose, what is it and who sent them?

Questions we will need answers to.

Edit: My character has no qualms about killing them if necessary. Though it is superior for Jedi to disable their opponents ability to fight without killing them, so thats always his first target.

I think the padawans would be an interesting element.

I mean, otherwise two Council Members V Dark Jedi.... pretty obvious who would win, right?

But with padawans.... the Jedi will have to worry about that plus the darkies.

Yeah, t'would be a very interesting element to the mission. I will see if my paddy comes back in time.

But I am ready whenever we get NPCs sorted and what not.

Errg, if my Paddy would get on. Alright, well it would be interesting if they came, and maybe Duros and his. That would make six Jedi on this mission. Good luck to any who try to stop us.

Well, I for one don't care either way about meeting at the temple before going onto the mission or jumping head first into the fray. So I will leave that up to Cav.
