A taste of deception (open)

[Tal]

Italia Horula walked down one of the walkways of Corellia...as close to a home as she could come....well, beside the Ghost Star that was anyway. She sighed slightly, this wasn't a pleasure trip....there would be time for luxury later.

At the moment she needed to worry about other things. Stepping into one of the clubs, she glanced around and chose a seat in a shadowy corner of the bar after placing an order for a drink.

Now all she had to do was wait.

[Ashi]

Miran and Darren entered the Club separately. As it was dark and crowded, it was easy to slip in unnoticed. Miran moved to the dance floor, and started dancing while searching the faces of the crowd. Darren started talking to the bartender.

Italia glanced over at the bar from over the top of her glass of blue spirits. She wasn't particularly interrested in anyone there at the moment, so she allowed her eyes to wander over the rest of the crowd. Some were at the large screens...gambling on various games no doubt...some were dancing, some just talking, and still others looking so suspicious she had to hold back a laugh as they would jump when they noticed she was looking at them.

She shook her head slightly and returned to nursing her drink, pulling out a datapad and scanning it's information easily, putting her boots up on the chair next to her. Her blasters were hidden easily in her long coat, but were within easy reach in case she should suddenly find herself needing them. She wasn't without enemies after all.

Smiling as she feels the glance over her, Miran shifts her perspective so she could spot anyone who could have given it. Spotting Italia, and two others, she signals Darren with a hidden comlink. Darren passes the bartender a credit chit and three small packages, while referring him to the patrons in the booths of interest. The powder was a weaponized variant of tranquilizer in a small enough dose that none of the targets would die, but they would definitely fall unconscious within a few moments. It was chosen specifically because it was odorless and tasteless and colorless.

[Kiriin Radd]

So he was sent to pick up a shipment for Clan Shu'kar, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the finer things in life. After all, being a Mando'ade at this time in the galaxy pretty much meant you needed to live life to the fullest. This was just a lay over on his way to Nar Shadda.

Dressed in the common Corellian fashion that was current for the type of dive he was in; Kiriin didn't look anything like a Mandalorian. Not even his body language or demeanor presented anything towards the sort. He looked just like any other patron to this joint, as nonconspicous as any other miscreant in this place. He had picked a seat near the dance floor, an uncommon practice in his line of work, where he could keep an eye on his drink. He truly wasn't worried about any trouble tonight as he sipped on his blue milk.

Even if he wasn't expecting trouble tonight, trouble always seemed to find him no matter where he went. Any who tried would be in for a surprise.

Italia's sences tingled slightly, and her eyes flickered over to the bar just as the bartender put the packages under the counter. She hadn't seen the exchange, but she had certainly felt it happen...and whatever IT was, she didn't like it...

Standing and stretching lazily, she took her glass and slightly staggered over to the bar. Luckily she had ordered a very strong drink...and luckily she could hold her liquor very well....though she didn't intend to let anyone else know that. Yet.

she slurred to the bar tendor with a pleasent smile, flipping a coin onto the counter lazily before starting to walk off.

[Ashi]

Darren waited for a moment, sitting like any other customer would. Leaving Miran to take care of the other two and drawing the needler, he moved through the crowded room until he had was close enough to place the gun in the small of her back. Just loud enough for her to hear, he said, "I'm sorry to have to do this, but you can't be awake where we're going" He pulled the trigger, and the tranquillizer dart fired point blank.

[Jenno]

Italia's reaction was fast...but not fast enough. As the tranquillizer began to take effect, she had enough of her mind left to pull back and land a punch squarely in her attacker's gut before collapsing

If it wasn't one thing to be rip roaring drunk like any other celebrations the Mando'ade threw, it was being completely sober surrounded by all that intoxicants. Kiriin finished off his last glass of blue milk, slamming the mug onto the table, and stretch.

He was getting bored and was considering heading out to pick up the shipment. As he was stretching something caught his eye just a little bit from the bar. Now this was usual on any backwater cantina, but here in Corellia it wasn't publicized like this. He caught a dark haired woman falling limp in a man's arms. The wrongness? She hadn't been near this man at all tonight. He stood up and started to make his way towards the door, palming his customized Verpine Shattergun in his jacket pocket.

[Ashi]

Darren grunted as the punch landed. But he ignored the pain and picked up Italia's limp form. He carried her to the waiting speeder and gently set her in the back seat. He pulled out a small syringe and injected her with a more potent form of the traq, enough to keep even a wookiee under for several hours. He turned on the speeder's alarm system and then moved back inside to help Miran with the other two.

Somewhere in Italia's conciousness she struggled against the light sedative, but was unable to fight the stronger one, her head lolling to the side, hair falling across her face slightly.

[Ashi]

Sithspit! I can't put this guy into the speeder with those witnesses leaving and a girl already in there! I'll have to think of something. thought Miran as she hauled one of the other two out of his chair. She drops him back into his chair rather unceremoniously and then draws her mando heavy blaster. She fires twice into the ceiling, the sound of the two rounds startling the crowd and causing a huge rush for the door. She smiled to herself as both of the guys who were leaving were caught up in the rush.

Darren, hearing the blaster rounds, moved quietly back and sat in front of the speeder window, covering Italia's limp from from most onlookers.

Shots were fired and as people screamed and ran for the door; a door which Kiriin just so happened to be closing on, was flooded. People scrambled and ran scared, bumping and jossling each other trying to leave the place. Kiriin turned and stood strong against the onrush of patrons. He knocked the first person to rush him off their feet and into the crowd. Most mistook him for one of the ones that were about to do more shooting and gave him a wide berth. A few, not paying attention, again got knocked off their feet or thrown into others trying to leave the place in a rush.

Now this was none of his business, but when shots are fired, well that ruins anybody's good night. He gripped the Verpine gun in his left hand as he reached under his jacket and pulled the heavily modified blaster pistol from his back holster. He kept it low to his side as to not draw any more attention. The gauntlets he wore were still well hidden in the long sleeves of his coat.

He scanned the fleeing crowd and visiually spotted the crazed lunatic that had fired the shots. Now his mind started to click into bounty hunter mode and realized that they were collecting. He spun around and let the crowd pull him out of the cantina.

Once outside he addled away from the crowd and pulled out a small scanner. He started to type in a few commands. His target, the drugged bounty he was going to steal out from under these perks noises, and if they gave him any trouble, they'd be dead.

Darren sat watching the crowd pour out of the club. Spotting two or three characters who looked like they were doing more than having a nice night out before he saw him. Unlike the rest of the crowd, he wasn't panicked, he had no wish to rush though he was a little annoyed. Knowing he had to be armed, Darren drew the bothan quick draw after swapping the needler to his off hand and aimed for the man's head. Knowing the limitations of the small weapon, he only fired once.

Miran saw what was going on, and hit a side exit. An alarm went off and the fire suppressant systems fired up, but she didn't care. It would take a moment for her to reach the street, she just hoped she made it in time.

It took only two shakes of a bantha's head to calibrate the scanner and locate the speeder that held his future prey. Then again, the security system was on a higher grade than some, but it didn't take more than a few seconds and a handheld decrypter to crack the hatch. Inside unconscious lay the same dark haired woman he saw collapse. He quickly shouldered her and dashed for the nearest parked air taxi. He carried her in his arms as if she were his significant other who had had too much to drink. He knew he didn't have much time. He sent a tight band transmission through his commlink, letting his ship's computer know to warm up.
