The Diving Gungan. {Open}

Ku'Gonxa walked shiftily down the sidewalk on the moon of Nar Shadaa. His head brisles tingled with vibrations coming from the freighters and shuttles above him.

Looking up at a paricularly low flying YT-500 series frieghter, he noticed a large neon sign depicting a Gungan diving into the mouth of a Krayt. The Large beats bit down and after a short chew, swallowed the gungan.

Ku whirped with glee, sounding much like a droid. His rather long probiscus smelled the scent of alcohol and bad company. He unconciously tapped his cred stick and wandered in through the door.

The cantina was seedy, like almost all cantina's on Nar Shadaa. Yet this one, had that unusual flare, that little extra bit of hutt slime, the air of Kowakian Monkey Lizard.

Pleased with his choice Ku wandered over to the bar and ordered a Flameout. Behind the bar, a Devaronian bartender pulled out a few bottles of ichor liquid and mixed them into a cup, After shaking them together briskly he dumped the contents into a large glass and pulled out a hot stick, and lit the top on fire.

"Big Sniffer likes big nasty drinks. Might not sit well with the Big Sniffer me thinks." He grinned evilly.

Ku snorted through his long Probiscus, blowing the fire out. Holding the glass under his face he nodded to the Devaronian and dropped his Probiscus into the glass, and slurped.

Talgo walked into the establishment and aproached one of the door guards. Talgo showed the guard a hologram of Ku'Gonxa. "I'm looking for this ku'baz. Name is Ku'Gonxa.", Talgo said to the guard. The man pointed to a ku'baz at the bar.

Talgo walked over to the patron and then said aloud, "Ku'Gonxa".

Ku'Gonxa turned, seeing a Mandalorian bristling with armament. If he had had a jaw it would have dropped, instead he spat out his drink and dived behind the bar.

"Woop, wab!" Came the distressed sound from his nose. "Wandaworian!!!" His voice sounded like an eopie passing gas.

He scrambled to grab the bartender and asked if the place had a back door.

Talgo pulled out his elite blaster rifle and aimed at Ku'Gonxa. "Stand down ku'baz!", the bounty hunter shouted. "Hands out in front of you, and await a pair of cuffs. Cooperate, and you won't be blasted to Nal Hutta.".

Jedi Master Aidel Retrac had been waiting for her smuggler contact to come into the bar. She didn't mind the place, mostly ignoring the passing cat calls from various species of pirates and smugglers.

She was wearing a tan and brown pilot's suit, with a utility vest hung over her shoulders. Her lightsaber was nowhere to be seen, but a blaster pistol rode low on her hip. So far she had managed to misdirect any of the major attention away from herself. Then the Mandalorian came in.

She was leaning onto the bar, nursing a drink when she heard a voice. "Ku'Gonxa."

Perking her head to the side, she began to turn, just in time to move out of the way of a jumping alien. Not having enough time to think, she pushed away from the bar, falling on the ground on her back.

The blaster pistol however, was in her hand, unwaveringly, pointing at the Mandalorian who had drawn a blaster rifle. The blaster pistol wavered as she realized she wasn't the center of attention.

"Hands out in front of you, and await a pair of cuffs. Cooperate, and you won't be blasted to Nal Hutta." The armored figure said.

There was a light laugh around the cantina. Even Aidel had to smile. She gave the hunter props. At least he had found Mandalorian armor.

Pushing her self off the ground to a kneeling position, she let the pistol lower.

"Buckethead, I assume you have a guild license to hunt on Nar Shadda, or are you just wampratting this poor guy." The Jedi Master's voice carried over the crowd as she stood. Only the bartender actually knew of her real origins, but he wasn't going to speak aloud. They had been friends since long before she had gotten married.

Talgo turned to the person who mocked him. "I do have a license, and you should choose the words you use more carefully. I am a Mandalorian, and I'm proud of that. Now if ya don't mind, I have a job to do. Or do mind, what the hell do I care?.".

Ku'Gonxa grabbed the Devarionian's leg and he pointed toward where the back entrance was. "Big Sniffer gonna get blasted, do it outside!" he said kicking Ku in the buttox.

Ku'gonxa slunk his way quietly toward the back door. when he heard someone speaking on his behalf. His heart full of un-usual bravery stuck his nose over the counter to take a look.

"Buckethead, I assume you have a guild license to hunt on Nar Shadda, or are you just wampratting this poor guy." The human womans voice carried over the crowd as she stood.

The Mandalorian turned to the person who mocked him. "I do have a license, and you should choose the words you use more carefully. I am a Mandalorian, and I'm proud of that. Now if ya don't mind, I have a job to do. Or do mind, what the hell do I care?."

Ku memerized the woman's face with a quick glance, and realized that the bounty hunter saw his rather long nose pointing in his direction. With a wooping noise, he ducked back behind the counter and ran for the backdoor.

"Wandaworian woop, wab wirp..." he warbled to himslef.

Talgo ran out the front door and flew around the side of the building, then landing right in front of Ku'Gonxa as he opened the back door. Talgo aimed his elite blaster rifle at the ku'baz and spoke,
"No sudden movements, make one, and I'll shoot. You are wanted dead of alive, so you are lucky I don't kill ya.".

Aidel shook her head as she pressed the Lightsaber activation switch. The purple blade was between the hunter and his prey. Aidel had exited after the Kubaz, but had yet to place her body in the line of fire. The blade lit the cold alleyway with a seemingly warm light.

"Put the blaster down bounty hunter and walk away. No one will get hurt. This...man..." Aidel looked at the Kubaz for a moment, making a confirmation. "This man is under the protection of the Jedi Order."

Aidel began to draw on the force, getting ready to rip the man's blaster from his hands if violence began.

Talgo didn't walk away, but he did turn his head to face the jedi. "You don't know who you are protecting jedi.".

"I had no idea that you jedi would protect murderers.", Talgo said.

"Besides, if you attack me jedi, then the Mandalorians will hear of this. I don't think the Mandalorians will let one of their own get pushed around by a jedi. Think of what might happen, jedi.".

[Corstar]

"Master. Jedi Master."

Aidel slowly moved the blade so it was between her and the Mandalorian. The steady hum of the lightsaber seemed to fill the alleyway.

"The Jedi Order will handle him in a considerably less violent way, if what you say is true..." Aidel looked at the Kubaz out of the corner of her eye.

"Is it?"

Talgo wondered why out of all the bounty hunters in the galaxy, he had to be the one harrassed by a jedi. "The Republic has no influence out here, and certainly no right to have a jedi come out here and nab a bounty of a bounty hunter. His quarrel is with the Verpine, not the Jedi Order. If you want to, go speak to the Verpine yourself about the matter.".

((Inf, in the time it took Talgo to run out the door, and around to the back of the building Ku could have made it halfway down the street. Just a suggestion.))

Ku watched the two of them argue over him like a piece of meat. He seemed somewhat confused. A Jedi and a Mandalorian, two of the most powerful factions in the galaxy and they were fighting over him...

Ku couldn't help but feel just a bit proud of himself. He must have really done something nasty. That means he could charge more for his services.

Visually the Ku'baz only wriggled his nose and his goggles reflected the pair as they argued. 'Should he shoot the Jedi, or the Mandalorian.' He thought. 'Maybe if he winged him he could-'

Aidel made a face that suggested she found the Mandalorian somewhat amusing, but yet still quaint.

"The verpine must not have really wanted him that bad if they sent you after him." Aidel released her lightsaber with one hand, not moving the rest of her body, she held her palm out towards the Kubaz. The alien was struck with a force push that cemented him to his position. She didn't want him running off now. Far too many questions he needed to answer.

"Lower the blaster and walk away bounty hunter." Aidel's eyes narrowed as she stared into the visor of the armored figure. She was almost a foot and a half shorter than the man, but by far more intimidating.

Talgo kept his elite blaster rifle aimed at the jedi. "I don't think so. I was hired to do a job, and I'm not gonna let some jedi thug push me around. You attack me, and the Mandalorians will hear of this. How well will my brothren, or my employers take it? The Mandalorians, the Verpine, and the Hutts.".

"For your information, I am one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. I defeated a drexl, I brought down a Sith Lord, I've even slipped in and out of the Sith Embassy on Manaan undetected."

Ku coudln't believe what he was hearing, a jedi covering his butt, a Mandalorian, telling her of his exploits, some of them possible prosecutable.

Ku almost snorted with laughter. He tried to move to leave while the two fought and realized he was held tightly by some invisable hand.

He had to admit. There were alot of crazy things he'd seen in his day, but this was slowly making him a believer in the force.

Aidel rolled her eyes as the Mandalorian went on about his exploits. She reached out her hand and the energy cell from the elite blaster rifle dropped to the ground. A hint of a smile tugged at Aidel's lips as she loosened the straps on his jetpack, making it fall away from his body, hanging by a few electrical cords attached to the rear plate of his armor.

"I'm sure your brethren hutts wouldn't much like to hear you made a member of the Jedi Order angry. They have enough problems as it is. As for the Mandalorians...well they've always been smart."

Aidel loosened her grip on the lightsaber, resisting the temptation to simply strike the bounty hunter down.

"This is the part where you turn around and walk away, before I completely strip you of your armor and leave you for the cantina bums to have their way with you."

After seeing the Jedi strip the Mandalorian of his dignity, he gave a funny sounding whistle and a whirp.

"Hwe hwe hwe....wandaworian. Woop, wer wherl." But that was hardly how he really felt. At that moment he could have given anything for a holostill, or maybe another drink so he could enjoy this thouroughly, rather than being scared out of his senses.

Talgo caught the power cell and put it back into place and put the blaster away. in the process pressing a botton on his wrist guantlet."Your foul words will not win you this fight, jedi. Your insults mean nothing to me. They practically bounce off my armor. And yet the annoyance of them seeps through. So I say that..."


"...I have had enough. Goodbye.", Talgo pulled out his heavy repeating carbine. Then, he droped a canister on the ground and activated his jet pack. He flew up to the roof as poison gas spewed out of the canister.

Aidel twitched for a moment. She disengaged her lightsaber with one quick action and used the force with her free hand. She created a barrier of air that hit the canister hard. It was picked up in the air, thrown into a nearby dumpster, onwhich the lid slammed down upon it.

Looking up after the Mandalorian, she shook her head. She looked at the Kubaz and gestured for the alien to come along.

"You can either come along with me and live, or hang around and deal with the trigger happy Mandalorian. It's up to you."

She neglected to add that it really wasn't the alien's choice. Whichever he chose, she'd still drag him along, kicking and screaming if she had to. Matters of principle and all, she couldn't allow the Bounty Hunter to capture the man now that she had stepped in full force.
