Space over Dantooine - The Boldness Admiral Tarkrus watched in silent contemplation as the Hammerhead class starship, now identified as The Liberty, moved in down onto the surface of Dantooine and made landing it Tooko Pass. He smiled slightly as he coordinated his next moves, and eased back into his chair and sipped at a glass of water. "Move back out into space. Low orbit. The Liberty isn't our problem any more. It has stationed itself on the surface. I'm quite confident General Terrilles will be able to handle whatever they are doing now. If she requests any assitance, be sure to do exactly as she commands." Admiral Tarkrus ordered no one in particular, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone nod at his commands. A sudden red blinking came onto one of the Admirals displays, some one was attempting to make contact with him. Most likely it was their ground side espionage operative, Nazante Vos. He patched himself through and put on a headset. Whatever he needed, it might be for his ears only. "Yes Captain, go ahead. I'm listening."===================================== General Sharon Terrilles watched closely as The Liberty swooped in over head, firing and everything within sight, blowing an adjacent command vehicle in the process. She crouched down low, as debris reigned everywhere, she slowly got back up and quickly snatched an unconciouss officers electrobinoculars, scanning the horizon. It had set down in Tooko Pass. "General, the fleet reports that The Liberty is under our jurisdiction. We may do with it what we please.""Divide the forces, half of them are going in for attack on Khoonda through The Plains. Aim half of our heavy artillery at The Libery and open fire, I want it destroyed as soon as possible. Once that has happened, send in the other half of our troops in to mop up the survivors." She said still looking through the electrobinoculars, viewing the battle as it progressed; small bursts of red and green light flashing up in the distance, as blasters discharged their energy. She had a good feeling about this battle. And yet in the back of her mind there was that feeling that they had just awakened a sleeping giant... ((Not sure if I mentioned this yet, but this map you provided really helps Cyberguy, although it's not exactly the most artistic it still gets the job done. Function over form ftw.))

(Know what you could do that would make things great? If you used more accurate numbers. Like, instead of "half our men" something like "a battalion". It just helps out with the detail. Because, to be honest, I have no clue what I'm facing here. And so I can technically assume that you have ANY number of men, which I can use to my advantage. So please, be very specific, and Xaojii, I need the exact number of troops in this battle. How many regiments. For information on the army divisions, look under the "Army and Navy" board. CG out. Now, stay tuned for some IC content, and let's get this party started RY-EET!) Azjli Grounds Defensive Turret 1 A Baltech DTX Defensive Turret Mark II It was an old gun, to be sure, but it was still the best chance the Azjli Defense had of keeping the sith from Khoonda. And, standing at the top of the towering turret structure, Jedi Master Meenu Baumm was able to see just what kind of chance they did have. There was a reason for the strange shape of the Azjli grounds: The entire estate was a single, large hill. Which meant that the defensive towers that the not-so-paranoid Opar Azjli, head of the estate, had built up around the higher points of the region would have the advantage over the soon-to-be approaching sith forces, even though the reloading time was a little slow, at three shots every ten seconds. Opar turned towards Master Baumm as a gunner took command of this tower's gun. "Do you think... that you have enough men to hold this line, Master Jedi?"Master Baumm looked out on the two separate platoons he had managed to amass along the way, thanks in no small part to the efforts of First Lieutenant Zarn Defarak, an Iridonian officer with experience in fortifications (he had been stationed on Dantooine with the now ironic purpose of checking to see whether or not the planet would be prepared for an attack.) and shook his large blue head. "We do not. I thank you, though, for the squad you have provided. At this point, any further support will be needed. Though it may still not be enough."The greying Azjli sputtered to talk, "Are you certain, Master Jedi? My turrets are very effective, and we have the high ground. We must have enough to hold until reenforcements arrive?"Baumm turned towards the nearby Turret 4, where three of the same guns sat poised over at the steeper end of the hill, leading down to the river, and then to the smaller Turret 2 across the other way. Perhaps, he thought, they would be able to hold between these three. They had enough for that. "Mr. Azjli, I thank you for your help, but I suggest that you return to your home and the rest of your security forces. You will be safest there."Opar nodded, "Yes, Master Jedi. Good luck, or whatever it is that you say."Master Baumm smiled slightly, "May The Force be with us.""Of course. The Force.", the owner of the estate said before returning to the lift that would bring him down to the ground and to his bodyguards. Master Baumm's comm link whirred, an incoming coded transmission coming from Lieutenant Defarak, who was manning the forces at Turret 4. The Jedi answered, and a small blue hologrpahic Zabrak in Republic uniform materialized in his palm. "Master Baumm, we have this turret ready. We're very lucky to have so very many gunners and snipers under our command, sir.""There is no luck, Lieutenant. Have you heard from the fire teams at turret 2?""Yes, sir. Private, err.. I mean, Corporal Ranton is preparing his teams there, and I have sent another squad up to Turret 3, sir. They should be there soon, if nothing prevents them. Sir, if you don't mind me asking, how are we going to hold the line between Turrets 2 and 3?"Master Baumm thought it over. That was their trouble area. the hill was more gradual there, more easily accessible, and there was a great space between turrets 2 and 3. They did not have enough men to hold there, not by a longshot. They would need more. Sure, the greater number of sith forces were to the west and they would have to make it around the base of the hill to reach that area, but the Azjli Defense would have to have more forces there when they came. "Turret 4 is completely ready?""Yes, sir.""And so is Turret 2?""I trust Ranton with this, sir.""As do I, lieutenant, which is why they don't need us there to watch them, I imagine. You are to meet me at Turret 2 with as many units as you can spare from the Defense line. We will hold there as long as we can."A pause. The kind of pause that usually follows the assignment of a suicide mission. Not a comfortable pause at all. "Yes... yes sir. I will be there....wait... wait a minute, sir. I'm getting something from the captain of one of our ships, The Liberty.""Ignore it, lieutenant. We can do nothing for them. We have no Orbital cannons here.""Um.. sir... I think you should reconsider.""Why do you think so, Lieutenant?""Because our comm only works surface-to-surface, sir."A very different pause. "Very well, lieutenant, patch them through..."

Plains East of Khoonda "Sir. You'll understand if I dispose of pleasantries and make this short. My strike teams are in position and awaiting further orders. For the record, I don't think Two is well enough equipped, but they'll do their jobs. Three should be able to hold their position and even go on the offense if necessary, as long as they don't meet any armor." Nazante glanced around as he jogged across the plains, not a mile from Khoonda. He hadn't even run into a sentry yet, though this was the East side, and therefore protected by the bulk of the forces friendly to Khoonda. Even though he was on a secure channel, he was very careful not to mention any names or places. You didn't survive his job if you didn't take excessive precautions laced with extreme paranoia. "I'm on my way to the primary target. If plans go well, Three will be joining me, and we should have operational control within twenty minutes. We'll fortify and hold until relieved. If plans fail and I'm still alive, I'll get to work on the turret problem if necessary. Otherwise, I have a target to reacquire."Nazante paused as he passed within a half-mile and a single sentry. He nodded somberly as he passed the militiaman. A few of the citizens of Dantooine knew Holimayon enough to know he;d never sign on with a government as large as the sith Empire. Piatre was only here for his client and, as of know, himself. He hadn't gained a reputation as a very nice man, but a trustworthy one. If only they knew. -----
Khoonda "Approaching target. Militia presence is increasing. Going silent. Expect a report in fifteen or not at all. Out." Nazante dropped the channel abruptly as he passed a pair of armed civilians. A few minutes later, he was passing security and entering Khoonda itself. To talk with Khoonda's head of security and sign up with the militia. Of course, he had no desire to actually become a conscript for an army of farmers. He disappeared a few seconds after entering to scope the building's defenses and make a few 'adjustments'. His goals, as he slipped through every back passage and shadow to avoid detection, was to unlock a few security doors, rewire the defensive turrets to his favor, and, when he was done, start shooting. -----
Civilian Hanger Four, West of Khoonda Inside the fourth hanger to the West of Khoonda, a Barabel, armed with numerous blades, a blaster pistol, and a flechette rifle, and sporting light blast armor, paced near the main entrance as the rest of Strike Team Three, his men, prepared to move. They weren't simply good, they were among the elite of the sith Empire. Loyal to a fault, heavily trained and conditioned, and above all else, lethal. Absolutely lethal. Lieutenant Rish, as he was known, was proud of his men. He'd served with them for over ten years now. Originally, they'd been mercenaries with no masters, no command, no ultimate goals. Now they had... purpose, as he put it. One by one, nineteen men and women of various species lined up behind him, all armed and armored to equally varying degrees; from the giant Trandoshan wearing heavy powered blast armor and packing a heavy APC repeater and an anti-vehicle missile launcher to the almost frail in comparison human female wearing very little armor, a stealth generator, and packing a battle rifle. Diverse as they were, they complemented each-other quite well. Rish rotated his arm, signaling the group to form up. None spoke, they simply moved into position around the doors. Now wasn't the time for words; they all knew what they had to do, they all knew they were where they were supposed to be, and they all considered being wished luck, or given a 'pep talk' somewhat insulting. All they needed was a single hand-signal from their commander, who was waiting for a single word from a man he had only met once.

OOC: No they haven't there aren't any shuttles period. The only Republic capital ship onstation is the Liberty and it's dug itself in at the Tooka Pass, to block passage. So if your character isn't on the planet than I'm pretty sure your not on or near the planet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
IC: Off in the distance, Roth spotted a vessel landing in the Tooka Pass. It was a Hammerhead-class cruiser, most likely a Mark I judging from it's ability to land in the Tooka pass, although he could have been wrong, he wasn't able to tell from this distance.
It couldn't have been Sith, judging from it's landing trajectory and approach, it was defending the pass not attacking. It seemed that the Republic were finally here to reinforce them.
He shifted directions on his speeder bike and headed towards it. He needed to find out more and it was completely possible that they might of had a use for him. As important as getting to Khoonda was, it was perfectly possible that Khoonda was in ruin. Besides if sending a message off was still possible the republic cruiser would have done it already.
He needed more information.
He gunned the thrusters on the speeder bike andd came within 100 meters of the cruiser and waited. If their senses were running they should've already spotted him.

(Actually Hal, the whole planet has sent out distress calls. And even though the sith are jamming Khoonda, that doesn't mean nobody else is getting through. Also, Dantooine is right on the patrol route along the border, so small Republic vessels would be heading back and forth. And if one were to contact Dantooine and found they were jammed, well, that sends a message of its own, doesn't it? Btw, still waiting on you, Ardenator)

Savani sighed, glancing around the troop bay of the ship he had been assigned to. A distress signal had come from...somewhere...and attempts to respond had been in vain. It didn't matter, it was just another small-scale battle, almost definately, just another mission, just another place to risk getting his head shot off for some General who didn't even know his name. But of course, Savani's men could not ever know their lieutenant felt this way.
Nearly a hundred faces stared back at him. More than a platoon, less than a company. How he had ended up with this many lives depending on his actions was beyond him. Savani straightened his suit, checked the few pieces of armor he wore, and nodded to his men. They locked themselves into their harnesses, securing weapons and power cells.
The small corvette ((Republic Blockade Runner, according to Wookiepedia. <.<)) sent out a few messages of intent to any nearby allied ships, and launched its shuttles, one of which held Lieutenant Savani Di'Akhaim.
The ship rocked violently as it passed through the atmosphere, along with two other identical carriers, each holding around the same number of soldiers. Laser and anti-ship fire lanced past, and they heard a horrible shriek, though no one dared to think of what it could be. After altogether too long, the pilot announced they'd be landing soon, and to brace for impact.
((Landing at...hmm...Khoonda Plains, why not.))
Savani swallowed, trying to quell his nerves. He always got the shakes before a drop. Once they were down it was no problem, but before...He was jerked roughly against his harness, a flash went off behind his eyes, and the lights went out. Time passed, no more than a second or two, and the Lieutenant came back to consciousness, training kicking in. He tore off his harness, standing on wobbling legs, and yelled.
"All troops, form up and get the hell out of the ship! Follow your sergeants, stick together!" Savani shouted, his soldiers falling in behind him. They moved quickly, following what transmissions they could find to the Republic entrenchments on the Alzij grounds. The Lieutenant asked around, trying to find a higher officer for placement...

Finally, I want to finish this battle. I have a son, daughter, and beautiful wife waiting for me at home...The man, clad in highly protective clothing with the Sith Symbol engraved on the upper right portion of his chest, walked off of the Sith vessel. It was time to take care of this stupid battle so he could return to his home. Once off the ship his eyes looked over the troops still station at the landing pads. It was a sizeable number and from what Lokiem could see there was absolutely no need to defend the landing pads. Victory was assured and all was needed was to press the attack. Then two more people appeared from the same vessel and stood on either side of him. One had an undoubtedly dark presence about her and her face was hidden inside her black cloak. The other was a rather short stringy male with black hair and green eyes. The male had an undeniable smirk on his face. All right men, I want you guys to wait just a few more moments while I send Zandar here over to those turrets. He has an Stealth Field Generator and is an expert on these kind of things. With him will be a Sith Assassin by the name of Telu. Know the names well as they will be saving us a great deal of trouble on this one.***** To think he sent us up to this estate all by ourselves...it's a bit much right? There was only silence at his side as he himself was invisible to the human eye or sensors for that matter. Closing in on the facilities Zandar slowed to a walk and he didn't even realize that Telu had moved on ahead. Zandar approached one of the turrets with two guards. It was a simple trick really as he took out a Frag Grenade and activated it. He let it drop from his hands and roll down the steep hill for a few seconds before exploding. Obviously the guards fell for the bait and left their post with their blasters at the ready. Immediately Zander took to the door which opened slowly. Hey Andrew, Azjili said to stay at our posts no matter...Andrew?Before the pilot of the turret knew what was really going on Zandar unsheathed his Stun Baton which lowered the Stealth field letting the soldier know of his presence. Damn they're already here...Before anything more could be said Zandar thrust his baton into the soldier. With a short surge of electricity the soldier was down. With ruthless efficiency in mind Zandar now drew his short sword and drove it into the soldier's heart, ending him. Throwing the now lifeless body into the corner he jammed the entrance door to the turret and places a poison gas mine down in front of the door. With that taken care of he began working the turret repositioning it so it face the other turrets. I wonder how long a turret can stand up to a fellow turret...***** All we have to do is hold on until the Jedi get here and we will have this day!For the Republic...We'll be the heroes ofThe sound that cut off the first of the two soldiers guarding Azjili's home was a very familiar sound. It was a sound that could easily be equated with great hope or utter devastation. The the soldier who was cut off looked down he knew it was the latter of the two. A crimson blade of light protruded from his gut and there was a low hiss from behind him. Before the second of the two soldiers could say anything the crimson blade was pulled back then in a flash of light sliced the already dead soldier in half to reach the second without wasted movements. Before a scream of utter fright could be unleashed the matter was settled and the black cloak slowly faded out of sight again only after the crimson blade retracted into its hilt. I only need to take Azjili hostage for them to surrender...then if not I believe there should be some controls in here somewhere that should help. That whelp Zandar should do well enough to cause a distraction for me.(How's that?)

(A bit forward... but I figure we should be able to handle it. Try not to walk right through a defensive line in a future battle. It won't work. Oh, yeah, and you have to actually state where you are during all of this. Like, exact. Technically, since you didn't say which turret you took over, I'm going to assume that it was the smallest turret, T2, and now I can use the other five guns still. See, gotta be specific!) Azjli Defensive Turret 1 Lieutenant Defarak had climbed down from Turret 4 and made his way to Turret 3 to meet Master Baumm for the trek to T2. He could have run on ahead, but the bulk of the troops were with the Jedi Master, and he would rather not have been waiting alone. He didn't like being alone on a battlefield. It was just one of those things. Leaning against the side of the Turret tower waiting, as Master Baumm was not very quick on his feet, the Zabrak took a sigh. He reached up to his forehead and gingerly rubbed one of his horns. It was slightly loose; never a good thing. He wiggled it a few times before deciding it best to leave it alone, making a silent vow to take better care of himself in the future. The lieutenant snapped to attention; however, as the Ortolan Jedi appeared from the exit to the main stairwell, gripping a comm-link. "I have recieved word from The Liberty, Lieutenant. It seems they have landed. We should wait for them before we make our march. Their cooperation could be key."Defarak nodded. "Yes, sir. Shall I make way to Turret 2 and prepare the m-"He was interrupted, however, by a shot from Turret 2, in the distance. "Sir, the sith. They're advancing!"The lieutenant said before pulling his blaster rifle from his shoulder sling. He pivoted and took off at a sprint towards the sound of battle. But suddenly he stopped. There was no sound of battle, no distant shouts. Only the firing of one lone turret. It was all too quiet. Master Baumm noticed it, too. He had noticed it before the Zabrak had. He raised a palm, calling for silence, and listened. "Where are they firing?"Suddenly, a massive bolt struck the side of the Turret 1 station, mere feet from the Jedi Master, asnwering his question. He ducked from the debris and turned to face his second in command. "This will have been the second time today they have sabotaged us, Lieutenant."The Zabrak smiled, watching the outer wall crumble, revealing the paranoid old farmer's reinforced plating underneath. "We best make sure they do not succeed a third time, then."Defarak mused, taking his own comm-link into hand, sending the call out to the Azjli home. "Mr. Azjli, this is lieutenant Defarak. I need you to cut off power to Turret 2. The sith have that one."A click on the other end, and the ceasefire of Turret 2. "Thank you, Mr. Azjli. Stay inside, and don't worry, we'll get it back. Right, Master...?"He turned around to face the blue-skinned Master, but found nothing. He looked behind him, and sure enough, Master Baumm was already making his way to the lost Turret. The Lieutenant smiled and nodded. The master could handle this. Right now, it was Defarak's job to reach Turret 3 to ensure that it did not suffer a similar fate. The walk was a long one, crossing most of the estate. Quickly gaguing his location, the Zabrak made his route. He would reach the Third Turret by way of Azjli Manor... Azjli Manor Two guard patrols, changed every five minutes. Such was the word of Opar Azjli. And that was just the outside of the house, if one could even call it that. The Azjli home was more akin to a fortress, boasting many of the same defenses as Khoonda. Two rings of defensive walls surrounded the home, the outer one ten feet tall, the inner one twenty feet tall, with a series of defensive turrets between the two, set to fire at any pressure on the ground between the two. All doors were magnetically locked and inoperable except by members of the family. A series of massive shield walls stood between the inner wall and the house itself. And, of course, the area was crawling with the most handy guards on the planet, made so handy for their specialized life-support implants, a design by Azjli himself, one that has made the old man very wealthy by Republic grants. As the two guards lay dead in front of the Outer wall, implants in their heads, no longer reading signs of life, relayed a short-wave message to the main computer of the esate. One guard dying was usually seen as an Iriaz or Kath hound attack. Two deaths, well, that was enough to put the entire manor on High Alert. (Oooooohhhh... WHAT NOW!?!?)

((Near Khoonda Plains, advancing down the river. Probably 110-120 soldiers, and four heavy blaster teams.))
"Keep up the pace, we need to be there and ready, move, move, move!" Savani shouted back at his platoon. The pace was hard, but managable, especially given the easy, slowly sloping terrain. The troops were able to refill their canteens as needed from the nearby river, further increasing the acceptable speed.
Without too many delays, a minor case of heat exhaustion and a twisted ankle, they reached what seemed to be an ideal spot for the defense. A slight hill, free of trees or many obstructions, although
Setting up defenses were more trouble, as they had to dig ditches and use what few supplies they had to establish killing fields for their heavy guns and give the riflemen the cover they needed to get an effective kill ratio.
Two trenches, at slight angles to each other, left what ground the just over one-hundred soldiers could cover well defended. Attackers would have to choose between running exposed along a river, running along the field of fire of the turrets, or running up the middle, exposing themselves to the overlapping kill fields of the defenders.
The heavy blaster teams were set up near the end, far enough apart that no single artillery shell could destroy them both, but close enough that the fields of fire overlap, providing even less space for the enemy to maneuver (I don't know how the hell to spell that word. Move.).
Savani took a deep breath, and waited, checking his rifle repeatedly. It wasn't that he did not have faith in his soldiers, but they were mostly green, and if what he had heard was correct, the attack could come fast, hundreds upon thousands of soldiers boiling up. And even if they held against those numbers, they could simply run out of ammunition, or supplies, or space to fire, and be reduced to hand-to-hand combat in their trenches.
Another main problem with Savani's quick work was a lack of a line of retreat. If broken or forced backwards, they had no real fallback point, and would have to either execute a slow, damaging retreat, taking heavy casualties, but returning fire, or head for the Alzji estate.

(So is each turret like a separate group of turrets?) Turret 2 Zandar noticed immediately that the turret had went down. He didn't need any skill to know that when the systems made that all too familiar sound they were no longer operational. Immediately the worst case scenario came to his mind, and for some reason all worst case scenarios in Zandar's mind involved a number of lightsabers pointed in his direction. Seeing as he was nothing more than a payed rogue the possibility for Zandar to simply surrender was always an option, at least when dealing with the Jedi, but that wouldn't make for an interesting story or a good test of his abilities. Immediately he set a plasma mine, and gas mine down beside the poison mine he had already set right next to the door. They were already set on the most sensitive settings and he gave himself a mere three second delay to get through the door. Sighing at the fact that he now knew he would have to rendevous with Telu. That woman was no fun at all, but he wouldn't survive too long without someone providing some support. Before activating the delay Zandar set down a thermal detonator neatly atop the control board of the turret. Then activating the timer on the detonator which was for half a minute he activated his Stealth Generator and moved to the mines. With a push of the buttons on each of the three mines they were set for the delay as the door opened. Looking out he noticed that the soldiers were still gone and Zandar disappeared from his position. Azjili Manor The sound of multiple alarms and soldiers rushing left and right made the dark woman smile inside the cloak that she wore and the cloak from the shield generator as she remained pressed against the inside wall of the first defensive barrier. It was trained soldiers that these defenses were set against. They didn't have defenses against a Sith, and that was their weakness. In fact no defense was too much that any force user couldn't pass. It was the reason the Jedi Enclave was a plain structure without too many high walls. She had timed the movements of the squads of four groups as they hastily circled the space between the first and second defensive wall. When the pause was long enough she moved using the force to accelerate herself. In an instant she was on the outside of the second defensive wall. Crouching low she used the force to vault herself to top of the second defensive wall where she noticed a group of positioned soldiers. Hey!Her movements had been to hasty and the soldiers could now easy pick her out from the surrounding air. THe blasters already at their sides do to the alarms they were able to quickly fire even though they weren't able to pinpoint their target. Rather than come to blows with the poorly trained soldiers the Assassin settled to drop down to the ground using the force to cushion her fall. Then using force speed again she darted off. All of her movements were too quick for them to follow while she remained invisible. The apparent leader of the small group pulled out a communicator. We've come in contact with the intruder...it is apparently a Force User.Landing Strips Lokiem finished the small flask and coughed a little as the liquid went down his throat. He had told himself that when he finished the flask their time would be up. Lokiem didn't particularly like the Force and its worshipers, nor did he like the criminal scum that hired themselves out for lowly tasks. It was just that the defenses set against them were pretty hefty and Lokiem wasn't too stubborn that he would send his soldiers to an unnecessary death. If those two could do something to hamper the defenses of Azjili's fortress it would suffice. Still the time had passed and the attack would now have to move into full go. Regiments 17 and 18 will move across the river that leads to the Crystal Caves. We will exterminate the Kinrath there, and progress to the the other side of the caves in order to hit Khoonda from the behind. I will command that unit. Now I want regiments 20-24 to hit Azjili's fortress hard. Start with a well placed Ion Grenade Volley to hurt those turrets. Those troops will be the main force led by Lieutenant Vakam. Finally I want regiment 19 to set up our own turrets around the landing strips then go join Vakam's unit. I want the majority of the turrets to be placed on the right side, facing Tooko's pass. So the only ones left behind should be the pilots and medics and the med teams will be called when needed. Let's finish these guys quickly...Vakam was a male Zeltron who was already pushing his feelings of anxiety and eagerness onto the soldiers in his charge. The Sith regiments all flooded out of their stationary positions with a gleam in their eyes as the sun reflected that same gleam off of their standard issued helmets and uniforms. The true battle had begun now that the Sith were on the move under General Noldem Lokiem. (That's what I'll do!!)

(first off, just by stepping between the two walls, you activated the pressure sensors, and would have had the turrets blow you to pieces. Secondly, you are not able to control enemy NPC's when it involves combat with you. Thirdly, you can't launch much of a volley at Azjli, they have the high ground. Much higher ground. You'd be hard pressed to have any kind of accuracy with the kind of arc you would need.)

((NPC Ground Commander Dosh Reporting...))
Commander Dosh stood arms crossed in the command station that had been set up since his arrival. In front of him lay a transportable Holo-table, where he watched the forward units march toward their destinations. His comms equipment was set to recieve. He waited eagerly for orders from his superiors. It had been a long time since he had seen combat.
His mouth waterred slightly at the anticipation of making first contact with their true enemy. There were Jedi out their waiting for their end. Dosh slurped at the liquid in his throat and swallowed. "Yes, we will wash our hands in blood this day." he mumbled to himself quietly.
"Sir?" Came the voice of his comms operator.
"Nothing, you fool! Pay attention to your task, or I will deligate it to somone more capable." Dosh said, an edge of murder on his tongue. He watched with an almost perverted glee as the comms operator's eyes widenned slightly and turned back to his task of monitoring the airwaves.
Slowly Dosh turned his gaze back to the Holo-table. He watched his troop movements and spoke into his comms unit. "Remember your objectives, you murderous gaggle of Schutta's. Take no prisoners, show no mercy, deliver these weaklings to their destiny." He laid heavy emphasis on the word destiny, vowing death upon any fool stupid enough to take matters into their own hands.

TOOKO PASS
Nedra watched the holo-command center closely, looking over maps and aerial photos taken by the Starfighters of the Liberty. Shuttles had recently made a landing on the Khoonda Plains, and the troops they had carried had set up a defensive line between the Tooko Ridge and the River to the west. It was a good spot. Much like the Pass, it could be defended well by a small force. It would funnel the Sith into a position where their numbers would not matter. They would last long.
He hoped.
A click confirmed that he had finally made contact with the Jedi Master leading the defense at Azjli Grounds. "Again, this is Captain Nedra. I need to know everything you know. Your troop numbers, the layout of Azjli grounds, your current strategy, etc. We need to coordinate our troops. I am moving my men out of Tooko Pass and towards the Grounds right now. If we stay here we will do no more than limit the capabilities of the Liberty. It blocks off the pass, and with it's heavy armament and defensive it will hold against anything the Sith throw at it. Their ground-based weapons aren't made to destroy Capital-class starships."
"I currently see a small force of Republic troops filling in the area between the river and the Tooko Ridge. They will be able to hold out for a long time without support. The issue is Azjli Grounds. Can you hold out there with your local defense forces? Where do you require more men? I have an easy 600 soldiers under me, all experienced and well trained." Indeed, his men were probably the only battle-hardened soldiers in the whole of the Republic. They had spent years on the Frontier, fighting pirates, marauders, hostile aliens and neutrals, and various other threats. They knew warfare, and each had been baptized in fire.
Nedra felt a brief flash of pride. The Sith would have hell facing his troops.
"What is your situation? Over."
He turned as another signal reached him. Apparently a someone had come to his ship. It was a lone speeder-biker, about a hundred meters out. It was no longer moving. Apparently it was waiting for permission to come closer.
Caution might have commanded Nedra to take more measures in ensuring safety, but it didn't seem prudent. This wasn't the Sith's style. "Send him permission to come over. Bring him to me."
Touching the console, he keyed up another transmission. He needed to contact those Republic Troops out in the plains. "Men of the Republic, this is Captain Yuar Nedra of the Liberty. We have noticed your defensive position in the plains. Allow me to speak to your commanding officer."
He turned to an awaiting Colonel. "Move all our forces out of the Tooko Pass and towards the Azjli Compound. There we will set up a new defense. Bring all hands the the ship can spare. Outfit them with weapons and armor. They know how to use them. We need everyone we can get. Send a message to Derna on the ship. Tell him to bring the cruiser to maximum power. Divide it between the shields and the weapons. Open fire on enemy forces as soon as they are in range. That should be immediately; we have the high ground and our weapons are meant for combat in open space. He is far enough inside the pass that it will be impossible to hit him with anything but the strongest and most accurate linear artillery. But if a ground-based weapon in in range to hit him then they are close enough to be eradicated by our turbolasers. Destroy any artillery or armor that comes our way, and begin annihilating their troops as soon as they are close enough. Have him destroy anything and everything he can. Have the Starfighters readied for air cover operations. Tell them to keep on low and fast vectors near the protection of the Ridge and our defensive positions. Move double-time. The Sith will be here soon."
He turned back to the console and waited. He had done all he could for the moment. Now he had to await word from the Jedi; as well as from that curious speeder biker. Hopefully the news was all good.
Hopefully.
(Sorry it's not too great, I didn't have a whole lot of time)

The comlink on Roth's speeder beeped at him. He flipped the switch, turning it on. A voice came across.
"Unidentified speeder, you've been granted permission to come aboard. Please state your name and intentions."
That was fast, thought Roth.
I'm Jedi Knight Roth Miklan from the Grove temple. I need to speak with whoever is in command.
"Acknowledged, Jedi," came the reply, "Please head towards the open loading ramp."
Will do, said Roth as he started up the speeder and headed towards the opening. He had barely shut down the bike before he was greeted by two soldiers.
The taller of the two spoke, "We're here to escort to Captain Nedra."
Roth nodded and gestured, Lead the way.
He was lead through the cruiser to the bridge, which to no surprise, was a hustle of activity. He spotted someone wearing a Captain's insignia, and gave him a short, respectful military bow.
Captain. Jedi Knight Roth Miklan reporting, sir.

(As to the turret thing with the Sith she can be dead, I didn't really care too much about her. For the volley of grenades You can reach them, just they are far away. So naturally we would have to get closer, and you would be able to fire at us early. The volley is simply the first unified attack on the turrets. With the number difference and the way you described the turrets it doesn't seem they can mow down all the troops if five regiments come at three turrets, if I'm not mistaken, at once.
Sorry about the poor rping, but I am not too used to the Full Scale Battle RP. Just working out the do's and dont's)
(P.S.: Where do you put the apostrophe in don't when there are multiple? Is it dont's, don'ts, or don't's)

He turned as he was finally greeted by the speeder biker. A Jedi? The Captain felt his brows raise in surprise. He had never been a huge fan of the Jedi Order. In his experience he had found them to be arrogant, pompous, and condescending. They believed they knew everything and could solve the Galaxy's problems with a flick of the wrist. Nedra found it disgusting.
But a proper military bow and greeting? Strange...
He liked it.
"Knight Miklan, it is a pleasure. Report. Where do you come from? What do you know of the invasion and the defense? Why have you come here to me? I need to know everything."
A rumble shook the area. In the distance he began to hear the reports of explosives. Nedra cursed.
It had begun.
"What is that?" He shouted, and a Lieutenant piped up.
"Sir! The Sith are advancing on the Azjli compound. Their artillery is coming into range."
"Tell Derna to open fire immediately, destroy everything within sight from the pass. Have the fighters make preliminary strafing runs on the Sith forces coming towards the Azjli area. Tell them to play it safe. We can't afford to lose any of them. If they register a real danger they need to return to the protection of the ridge at once. Get our troops to Azjli Grounds and into defensive positions now!"
He turned to the Jedi. "Now let's hear what you have to say, nad hear it fast. We're out of time."

((Khoonda Plains, at the Platoon's dug-in location.))
Savani oversaw his men, watched them continue to dig trenches, fortify their cover, and secure killing lanes. He wiped the sweat from his brow and mumbled quietly "Whoever decided this uniform should be black needs to be shot. Hell, if I get out of this, I'll do it myself."
He took a long drink, and sighed. Another few moments of taunting near-silence across his comm-link, before it crackled, a voice coming over it, understandable if a bit distorted and static-y.
"Men of the Republic, this is Captain Yuar Nedra of the Liberty. We have noticed your defensive position in the plains. Allow me to speak to your commanding officer."
Savani looked at his link in disbelief. Why the hell would a Captain be on the ground, much less ordering troops? He shook his head, dismissing the notion of a traitor. A turncoat would have hit them in the rear already, pushed them forward, straight into the Sith lines.
He took a deep breath, raising the transmitter to his lips.
"This is Lieutenant Savani Di'Akhaim, responding to Captain Yuar Nedra's salutation. I'm the officer in charge over here on the Plains...the two other transports haven't made contact with us, or anyone, we're fearing the worst at this point. In any case, I digress sir. What can me and my men do for you?"
He lowered the transmitter, and waited, slinging his rifle across his back and drawing his pistol, just to be safe. If he had to talk to this Captain fellow, then he wasn't going to be a sitting duck while he did. Savani had not survived as long as he had by being careless or stupid.

(Wasn't sure if to wait from a response from CG or not) Azjili Compoud Vakam was no doubt at the head of the forces on the regiment. Vakam was undoubtedly a tremendous Zeltron Soldier. He was already pushing his anger onto his troops as they pressed forward, but it wasn't his Zeltron traits that made him unique. Vakam stood at 6'7" and a tremendous 320 pounds. His muscular build was shielded by an upgraded Mandalorian outfit that had been recolored to his likings. Holding two heavy blasters in his hands he was the epitome of war. Let them feel the fury of the Sith! His booming voice rang out as the Sith came mere yards away from Ion Grenade bombardment. Southwestern River Bank If they know anything they might have a regiment set up outside the Crystal Cave waiting for us. That's the thing with surprise attacks, either they work better than they are supposed to, or they backfire completely. Still I don't think they will meet us inside the cave for fear of losing valuable troops to the Kinrath. With his high level of experience in dealing with all types of terrain Lokiem had already pressed past the rather large river with a small group of about ten men. There was no real trick to it, but Lokiem had chosen short steps with a wide base in order to fight the pressure of the rushing waters. Still it would be faster to have his soldiers just cross rather than have them all try a new method that would waste time that Vakam was creating.

Kenny sat there in boredom and just stared through his binoculars and watched the battle from afar. Kenny saw the different colors of laser fly back and forth between the Republican forces and the Sith forces. Kenny keep looking and saw the Sith forces that are moving to the crystal caves to attack from behind the Republican Lines.
Kenny jumped upward and ran to Lieutenant John Mekal. Sir! Mekal looked up with boredom clearly fused into his face. yea what is it?. Kenny gave him is binoculars, look by the Crystal caves, the sith are going to move through it to attack from behind. We need to try to stall them in the caves, lets go sir. Mekal looked for awhile and let out a sigh. We cant we haven't received any orders. Kenny started to grow a bit angry, Sir they don't even know about the attack, if they did we would of received orders a long time ago. Mekal looked impatient also, because he wanted to also join this battle also. Mekal got up and picked up his radio, This is Lieutenant John Mekal, The Sith are going to attack through the Crystal caves, we are moving into position to try and stall, who ever is receiving this please send reinforcements.
Everyone on me! All of the soldiers instantly jumped up and ran to Mekal. Everyone we are heading to the Crystal caves! Lets Move Out! Mekal and his platoon started to run to the Crystal Cave, with hope that they will receive reinforcements when they get there.
