Tarn stood at the front of the overseer room of the Republic Base on Mandalore. As he gazed out of the large windowpane, he thought about the future to come, the results of his recent promotion, the many responsibilities that would be waiting for him. Many things rushed through his head as he looked; his eyes fixated onto the planet outside.
Nonetheless, he was disappointed about being sited at Mandalore; out of all the places in the galaxy. He remembered the conversation he had with his CO before being posted here. “Oh don’t you worry Captain; I’m sure you’ll find a lot of ‘excitement’ on you new post (!).” That was purely typical of him; placing him somewhere where had little chance of gaining any recognition.
Tarn wanted action, a challenge, a chance to prove himself worthy of his new rank; but he wouldn’t find that any time soon, since Mandalore was a place with little potential for any excitement.
Captain?
As soon as he heard that phrase, it broke his thought and his mind turned blank again, almost as if he had just been in a trance-like state for a while. He turned around leisurely and looked at the lieutenant.
Yes, what is it lieutenant?
The drop ships are finally back and are requesting permission to dock with us. Shall I give them the go-ahead?
Yeah, you do that; and make sure the docking crew hasn’t fallen asleep on the job. This place gets drearier by the second…
Very good, Captain.
*Did I just whine to the lieutenant? …this assignment must really be getting to me.*

<from Mandalore's orbit>
We've exited orbit, descending on the Republic base...
Mandalore opened his eyes after an extended blink. Seeing through his visor he made a quick head check using the advanced systems of his armor. Taking his gun in hand he knew the battle was close at hand.
Kain you did remember to put the cloaking on as soon as we came out of orbit right?
Of course Mandalore
Mandalore nodded as he looked at the single point in the wall he had been focusing on for quite some time. It was here, the battle that would decide their future. It wasn't a "whether we win or lose" there was no losing in this matter. Loss meant death, something that Mandalorians spent their lives evading. While there was no greater honor than to lose your life while fighting in battle this was a completely different matter. The drop ship slowed up as it reached the base.
Uh Mandalore sir...it seems we have some occupants of the West quadrant. Do you want me to open fire on them?
What's the situation on East Wing entry?
Mandalore, we've landed the ship and are about to apply our thorium charges
Durham's voice cackled through the communication line then shut off. Satisfied he looked at Kain with a smile behind his mask.
Let's make a landing and come out blasting, we can draw some attention away from East Wing for a time.
Mandalore's muscles tensed not having been in live combat for a couple months at this point. The Mandalorian could only hope that his brethren were as ready as he was. The drop ship came down fast in order to surprise the Republic Troops igniting its engines at 100% just before impact so it could slow the descent abruptly. Now set on the ground hte drop ship sat clad in durasteel waiting for the Mandalorians on the inside to be ready.

Kiriin felt the ship slow with a jerk from the momentum. He bent his knees to absorb the major impact of the sudden stop. He palmed the egress ramp control and waited impatiently for the ramp to descend enough for him to jump out and start a perimeter around the shuttle. He saw daylight as his visor adjusted accordingly and when the ramp had cleared enough space, the fully armored Mandalorian jumped from the craft before it touched the ground.
He grunted slightly and brought his rifle to arms and scanned the surrounding area for hostiles. He still did not like the plan. He main objective as a former commando of his earlier years, was to take out the bases communications relay. If they couldn't talk, then there would be no reinforcements.
Cay, I'm headed for the comm relay station. That should be the primary target right now. We don't need any more complications than we can handle. If you have any objections, voice them now.

Mandalore walked off the ship his gun held in both hands due to the sheer size of it. As his strides took him off the ship he pressed a button on his wrist device that made a sharp ding before ending abruptly. It was a signal to Felis on board the Brotherhood.
Upon recieving the signal Felis proceeded to enter a quick 27-digit code to activate a jamming system that he had rigged up long before Clan Tyran had even come to Nar Shadaa. Mandalore knew he would have to take a Republic base someday so he had a set of three different jamming devices on board his ship.
Felis along with the other Technologically savvy Mandalorians had rigged these devices to work in complete unison so that when one was breached the entire system would be switched out to another one of the three. Mandalore had assumed that this method of jamming would be about 60% more effective than even the highest grade jamming system. Of course that was just an estimation.
Anything along the lines of electronic communication was now offline for the residents of the Republic base.
I already have the communications, but yes we should head there and secure it first.
Mandalore looked around through his visor that was adjusted to the sunlight. His finger struck out four Mandalorians. The four he picked were close friends of his when he was but a mere child learning the ways of a Mandalorian. He knew their skills were top knotch seeing as how they stayed with his father's clan when he had left.
You four, accompany Kiriin when we eventually break off.
Yes Mandalore
The voice was deep and had an anxiousness to it. Mandalore was able to pick that up and he smirked behind the cover of his mask.
We are going to be heading to the center of the base where they have the security systems set up. I don't know where the communications system is, but I am positive we can take this place before they manage to break through the jamming system. Try not to take out too many of the turrets as it will be a lot easier when we refortify the base if we don't have to replace every last turret.
No promises Mandalore...
Mandalore turned to Kain who was walking down the ramp with a Mandalorian Ripper in his hand. Mandalore made another quick survey of the open field on which they landed. The door that no doubt led into the facility was locked and after an image magnification it was locked by a password.
Right no promises, right now I want you to get on that door Kain.
Right away Mandalore
With all his hacking tolls at his disposal Kain had a personal record of 17.3 seconds on a military grade lock. As Kain reached the small terminal he hooked up his smaller keypad and hit a button on his wrist watch. From the insides of his visor he could see the time start up.
He was already on two seconds...

Kiriin acknowledged Cay's command and with the four Mando'a warriors in tow, covered Kain as he hacked into the security door. Three of them stood to the left of the door stacked up to watch the door and their six. Kiriin with the other warrior covered Kain on the right hand side of the door.
He palmed a flash bang grenade as he watched the other man at work. Kiriin himself was pretty savvy on security systems, but this man seemed as if the console was part of him.
Men, I'm designating us Red Team. Stay sharp and be ready for any opposition. Aim true and shoot to kill.
An audible beep sounded as Kain finished hacking the door. The blast doors slid apart with ease. As soon as they opened, Kiriin lobbed the flash bang into the corridor, noticing a few Republic soldiers making rounds.
His helmet adjusted to the visual and audio blast that the grenade gave off. He rounded the corner from his position and took the lead on the right side of the corridor. He noticed that the others fell in perfect formation behind him. His blaster muzzle barked as he cut down the dazed soldiers. His pace was quick and his shots were accurate.

Suddenly, one of the maintenance consoles began beeping repeatedly and loudly.
Captain, we've lost all communications! There's no signal at all!
Tarn turned around promptly and jogged towards the communications monitor of the overseer room. He looked at the console briefly while the helmsman was franticly trying to fix the situation on his own. Tarn then realised immediately that something had disrupted all communications around the base; the question was ‘what’.
Ok then lieutenant; determine what is causing this disruption. Try and get the backup system online and functioning. We can’t allow this disruption to keep up for too long, or we will lose contact with all incoming ships and freighters; and that would be pretty bad in a situation like this. How’s that backup system?
It’s down too sir. Every communications system is dead. I’m not sure what’s causing it exactly, but something appears to be jamming it.
In that case, this could be serious. Send a maintenance squad over to the communications array, double-time. Also, give them a small, armed escort. Something isn’t right, and with no Comms throughout the whole base, we simply cannot afford to take risks here.
You want an armed escort, for a maintenance team? With all due respect, I’m sure you’re exaggerating sir; it’s probably just a communications node that’s gone down or something like that. You know how incredibly unreliable military equipment is. Besides, I’m afraid we don’t have clearance for that.
Tarn then turned around irately into the lieutenant’s face and shouted at him.
Well then get the clearance! ‘I’m’ in charge of this base; so don’t you go telling me what we can or cannot do, lieutenant! Just do your job, and follow my orders!
Tarn then stormed off to check on any possible security breaches throughout the base.
Erm…yes sir.
The lieutenant then turned around to make an announcement to the team.
Ok, listen up people! We are in a code yellow! We have no contact with the rest of the base, so this will be rather difficult. So let’s work fast and be professional; the sooner we solve this minor little problem, the better.

Damn, 18.3...It was apparent that Kain was feeling good about this mission which only added to the exhilaration that shot through his body as soon as the flash grenade went off. His helmet made short work of the flash grenade's effect, the blinding light only occurred for three seconds where as it would take a minute or so for the effects to wear off if the grenade had penetrated to his naked eye. Walking into the base Mandalore stepped over the down Republic soldiers to find a small security terminal. It was a minor terminal, but Mandalore knew Kain's abilities well. Pointing to the terminal he gave out his next order. Kain, I want you to slice into the security systems and get as much as you can from that terminal. There was no need for Mandalore to raise his voice as there was no explosions or blasters going off. He looked around to see what if there was any impending situations. Right away Mandalore... You can start with a map then continue from there.Kain nodded his fingers moving with blinding speed along the terminal. The Mandalorian inserted a computer spike into the system and within seconds Kain was holding two discs. Heh, military equipment...
I've uploaded the map onto my datapad, and here are two discs. One for you Mandalore and the other for Red team.Kain tossed Kiriin and Mandalore a disc. The information was quickly uploaded directly into his wrist device, and within moments he was looking at a detailed map of the Republic base. It seems that the Communications are somewhere NorthEast of this location, and the Control Center is directly east from this location. Keep in mind that once we separate we won't be able to talk to each other. The downside to our jamming, so rely on your brothers and they will rely on you.Mandalore waited a tad longer to see whatever Kain could wrestle out of the computer that would work to their advantage. ***** They've just realized they're being jammed...Slow as always, make sure you monitor the systems and make sure nothing goes wrong. It is only the second time we've used it and the first time was only a test. Of course Felis...Felis clenched his fists into a knuckle as he silently wished his friend and leader luck on this mission.

Kiriin brought his right hand across his chest in a salute and acknowledged Cay's advice. He quickly uploaded the information and map of the base via his own wrist port. He blink commanded a small map overlay to the lower left portion of his HUD. He motioned two fingers to the first two of his small squad to secure the area farther down the hallway and then motioned the last two to be rear guard.
We'll escort you to the command center and split up from there. The main corridor that leads to the communications array branches off from a north access point at the command center. We'll go ahead and clear the way.
With his new orders and directives in mind, Kiriin turned and marched down the hallway towards where his two point men stood over a few more downed Republic soldiers. They had come to a minor intersection. He checked over his map and signaled the men to proceed down the left corridor while the last two men took up post to cover their six.

A technician carrying a load of multipart repair equipment and a couple of guards armed with blaster rifles were walking through the long and seemingly endless corridors of the base, headed towards the base’s communications array in order to fix the jamming problem.
Man, what the hell are we babysitting this tech for? I was on my break until I managed to pull this sad duty.
Eh, beats me. Just stop complaining and do your job. Besides, it could have been a lot worse. We might have pulled the old toilet detail again. You know what that Sergeant is like with us these days…
Yeah, but why the hell does this guy need an escort? It’s not like anything is going to happen to him, not that I care anyway…
I’m glad to have such trustworthy personnel watching my back.
They walked through what seemed liked a sheer maze of matching corridors until they finally reached the main communications array. The complex was built around a huge satellite dish sticking out of the top of the building.
Okay you, just get on with whatever it is you have to do.
Hey, don’t rush me. This work takes a lot of time and even more patience. I’ve got to do maintenance check, shut the primary systems down one at a time, re-route the main stabilizers…
He was then interrupted by the irritated guard.
The only words I understood there were ‘time’ and ‘patience’; two things which I don’t excel at very much. So whatever you’re doing just hurry the hell up and do it so I can get back to my damn break!
The tech began unloading his equipment and started to work on one of the terminals connected to the primary communication mainframe. The two guards simply stood and watched as he got on with his work.
*Sigh* Why do I get the feeling this going to take a while…

Now that's what I'm talking about!Kain was known to celebrate over his technological successes, especially when it pertained to a mission. Mandalore turned to Kain as the Mandalorian made the exclamation. The Mandalorian who was suited in deep red armor stepped back from the machine with an air of satisfaction about him. Well? The Auto-turrets are down; that's about all I can do from a terminal. I have to be at the main controls to do any kind of rerouting. There aren't many turrets though so it is only a small success at that. Once again it plays on the fact that the Republic doesn't think of Mandalore as a threat. That just goes to show you, they are quick to forget...The Republic would always be just that, the Republic. It was as many described, a stagnant beast that always feasted off of the planets it controlled. All the planets under its rule syphoned raw and processed materials to the alliance. We just have to remind them of the magnificence that is the Mandalorians. They were words that Kain and the other Mandalorians could get behind. Using two fingers he pointed in the direction they would be going. Two Mandalorians took point, three took the rear, two to either side and Mandalore traveled with the middle of the pack. They moved with swiftness, the sound of their metallic boots could be heard hitting the ground as they hustled down corridor after corridor. The place really wasn't well guarded at all. ***** I hope that teaches them not to make a blind charge against Mandalorians. Maybe they've forgotten that every Mandalorian is ten of their pathetic Republic Soldiers.Durham, the auto-turrets have stopped...Durham poked his head out from the corner to see what was there. The Mandalorian's eyes looked past the smoldering bodies that used to be three Republic soldiers. His eyes met the turrets as hte smoke rose from the barrel's tip. Must be Kain, all right we've got the system hacked so turrets won't be a problem. In fact...Durham looked over his shoulder and smiled, this Mandalorian had command of 24 Mandalorians, what Durham had set up was five groups of three Mandalorians. Each group held a heavy turret that Durham would order placed at his desire. The remaining 9 along with Durham himself would serve to cover these groups. The Mandalorians that held the turrets were well versed in the methods of installing them and could do so in about 25-30 seconds seeing as how they had prepped almost everything save for drilling it into place. I think they are going to be having turret trouble...There was an undeniable smirk on Durham's face as he signaled for his group to advance through the halls.

Kiriin's squad on the other hand was currently making it's way towards the central command center where Cay was headed. He appraised each of the other Mando'ade with their prowess and was impressed. He definitely would work with any of these brothers at any time. He received a signal from one of his point men and halted with the rest. The point man signaled that there was a small unit up ahead patrolling the corridor. Kiriin signaled the eliminate motion when he heard blaster fire. He told the other two to stay and quickly made his way to the other man's position.
The veteran glanced around the corner to see the defense turrets just outside of the command center turn on it's occupants and open fire. The Republic soldiers were thrown into disarray and were cut down. Kiriin signaled for the rest of his team to secure this junction and way for their Mandalore.
(Okay buddy. Time to take the Command Center.)

It was amazingly fast, the speed of the operation. Mandalore's unit had already blown through three units already with such speed and accuracy that not a one had a chance to say a word before their fall.
Hurry, I'm not sure how long the jamming will hold.
Relax Kain, we are already here at the Command Center...
It was strange seeing as how Mandalore and his unit were in a secluded corridor. It only two a second or two for the rest to catch on. Mandalore was looking through the wall with his thermal vision. Soon the whole unit was watching the entire control center's personnel dance around as the defense turrets began targeting them as hostiles. Mandalore pointed his two fingers towards the wall in front of him and two of the Mandalorians in the unit brought forth a Thorium charge. It looked a bit dusty, but nevertheless it was correctly maintained and worked to perfection as the two Mandalorians set it.
Ready your blasters.
The team of Mandalorians pointed their blasters just as Mandalore hit the trigger blowing a hole in the wall to gain a further edge. It worked as the Mandalorians sprayed blaster fire through gaping hole the charges created. At first the shots looked random at best, but upon closer inspection each Mandalorian had some type of thermal vision activated and their shots were precise ripping into many Republic technicians and soldiers.
So are you going to surrender?
Y-yes, of course!
Hmph, these pathetic Republic soldiers never change...
And that Kain is what won us this day.
Kain spit on the ground in front of the Republic scum as Durham rushed onto the scene with two others at his side.
Frak, I thought for sure we would be here first!
Well did you save three of them like I asked?
Durham simply nodded and pointed to the three main entrances besides the one Mandalore had made. Immediately the remaining teams that still had their heavy turrets quickly installed them in a fashion that if a hostile were to enter they would be unsuspectingly be cut down by turret fire.
Take a quick breather, we don't have much time before we have to start rounding these soldiers up.

Tarn was pacing up and down the room, anxiously checking on each console for any change on the jamming situation.
It was awfully quiet. All that could be heard was the slight tapping of the helmsmen, busily working on their consoles. Barely a single word could be heard from across the room, save the odd conversation between the officers.
It had been over an hour since Tarn gave the order for the tech to sort-out whatever was jamming the communications throughout the base, and there had been no response since then.
Tarn was beginning to feel like something was happening, but had no idea what that could be. Tarn then walked over to the lieutenant who was busy talking with one of the helmsmen. He interrupted their conversation.
Lieutenant; Status Report.
…Um, no word on the jamming situation, captain. We’ve had no response from the technician we sent earlier on. I can only assume that he is still working on it and will have it fixed in due time.
A feeling of doubt struck him. He began to feel slightly unsure of the situation. He was almost certain that it would take the tech no more than 20 minutes to sort out a typical jamming problem like this.
Lieutenant, I want a runner sent down to that array, now. Find out what’s taking them so long.
But Captain, Like I said, I…
That’s an order lieutenant!
…Yes, Captain.
Before he could organize a runner, one of the consoles began beeping. The sound of it made Tarn jump ever so slightly due to the utter silence which plagued the room earlier on. This was however, music to his ears, as it meant that their communication system was now back online.
See Captain, what did I tell you? You can always rely on those brain boxes to get the job done. No need to worry.
Who said I was worried?
As he said this, Tarn turned his back on the lieutenant and smiled to himself slightly, a sign of his sheer relief that the situation was now under control, finally. (Or so he thinks)
Okay lieutenant, I want you contact the main command centre. Inform them that communications are back online, and that they can continue with operations as per usual. Let’s get these freighters up and running again.
Yes, captain.
The lieutenant then proceeded to one of the helmsmen and instructed them to contact the command centre.
You heard the Captain. Make sure they get the message.
Yes sir.
The helmsman then directed his attention to the console.
Command centre, this is communications control central, do you read me? Over.

Mandalore and his small squad of four others hustled through the corridors and made quick decisions. I had already been a while since they had taken the base's command center and Mandalore had issued orders for Kain to remain in control there and begin locating the Republic soldiers. Mandalore then issued the order for them to head out in multiple directions and take out the soldiers that Kain would point out. For the most part it had been silent as Mandalore gave signals using his hands to scope out corners and corridors. There hadn't been any Republic soldiers thus far, but Mandalore knew that it wouldn't last long. M..a...lore...y...oke...mmin...deIt was over as soon as Mandalore heard the words from his wrist device. Repeat...Mandalore, they broke the jamming code.It was just as the Mandalorian had suspected. Now their second greatest advantage was gone. Still it proved to be a good thing as now Mandalore could freely communicate with the other groups as they progressed through the Republic base. It was only their second greatest advantage because their first couldn't be taken away. Just the sheer fact that they weren't Mandalorians was the primary advantage that Mandalore couldn't help but utilize. ***** Just die already! As Durham made the last outburst he fired with his Heavy Repeater. The bolts zipped through the air catching one Republic officer. It didn't so much as catch as it light him up with fire. As the Republic officer fell to his knees there was a ghastly look of defeat written across his face. Just as his face hit the ground Durham got an incoming transmission forcing the Mandalorian to hit a button on his wrist device. So the jamming signal is broken huh? That's what it seems to be, and that means that it's all up to you now. Our hands are tied... I see, well we'll be calling you guys down shortly. Tell you what, I'll even head for the hangars right now. No, go to the communications array and destroy it. We can build another one, but they can't let a formal distress signal get out. I see, I'll go do that then...Durham cut the communications with Felis who was on board the Brotherhood. ***** Command centre, this is communications control central, do you read me? Over. Kain froze for a second or two thinking of what he should do. Then his subconscious kicked in and shut off the communications immediately as he began to isolate the direction of the call. Kain began activating the Defense-turrets and setting the previously friendlies to no Hostiles. It was a move that would serve to stunt any Republic attempt at resistance simply because it would be so unexpected. The Techno-Mandalorian also managed to tamper with any available droids to follow the same directive protocols as the turrets. It seems that this base has officially switch hands, and now the Republic are the vermin that needed to be erradicated from the facility. So naive as to think that machines will always be obedient to them when all I have to do is a little tampering.

Now Kiriin and his small squad had stood aside as Cay and his men dispatched and over ran the command center. As soon as that part of the mission was accomplished and without further order from Cay he signaled his squad to follow him to take care of the communications array.
They headed down the corridor that branched out from the rest of the base. They were met without any opposition. They all received the report about the jamming being overridden and the squad picked up their pace. They were nearing their objective when he heard Cay command Durham to come take care of the comm relay.
Kiriin slowed to a halt and signaled for the squad to do the rest. Ahead the blast doors to the exterior hatch that lead up to the communications array stood open. Two guards stood with their backs to the Mandalorians idly chatting away in a bored expression.
A quick hand signal had the other four members duck into empty storage closets and offices. Kiriin silently and quickly approached the guards. He had secured his blaster rifle to his left thigh and thumbed the release on his built in vibroblade on his right wrist. It shot out with the flick of his wrist and thrust into the guard on the right just and the base of his neck where the man's helmet left a small exposed gap. Without stopping to catch the deceased man he brought his left had up as he flung a smaller dagger into the other guard's face. It impacted in the man's throat severing his jugular.
The wrist vibroblade slid back into its housing as the warrior double clicked his squad's comm channel and signaled for the others to join him. He knew that if there were guards here then they probably had more guarding the technician that had broken their jamming codex. The squad ferociously sped up the incline to where the last two soldiers stood with their weapons drawn and leveled in the groups direction.
The man to Kiriin's right was the first to let loose a hail of blaster bolts from his light repeater and the two dropped before he could get a grasp on the situation. It paid off for the squad to have been trigger happy. There was no more threat other than a cowering technician.
Kiriin towered over the man and executed a swift honor bound death to the di'kut. He signaled to the others to set the explosive charges on the array, but halted himself. If they destroyed it the Republic wouldn't be able to send out any kind of transmissions, but at the same time the Mando'ade would have to rebuild a new array. That would take time and money.
Instead he stalked up to the open maintainence panel and reaching in plucked a fist full of cables and wires from the array. He picked up the datapad that was still connected to it, left by the dead technician. The readouts read that the array was dead. There would be no help for the Republic now.
Cay the communications array is down. Mission accomplished. You can call Durham back now. It's inoperable and can be repaired. Saves us time and money my friend. What are you next objectives for us?

(Kiriin, Felis suggested Durham go for the Comm Relay, Cay never made the order. My text colors change in people)

It was as fast as lightning...
Mandalore recounted the day's events as he stood over the 4 Republic Soldiers while smoke rose from their blaster wounds. They came down on dropships and breached the Republic's weak fortifications, and with slicing they had downed any automated defenses. It was swift and efficient as Mandalore, Kiriin, and Durham all lead forces throughout the base eliminating the Republic vermin.
Just as the Republic soldiers at the base broke through the jamming Kiriin had disabled the comm relay. Kain had set up the droids to finish off the rest of the work to be done as the Techno-Mandalorian cornered the current head of the base, a captain by the name of Naterna Christav Tarn. The whole section where this man was in Kain efficiently cut off by sealing blast doors and shutting off any power that might be fueled to that portion of the base. It made for an effective prison, and when Mandalore saw fit he could easily execute or release those in the small area.
It was done, Mandalore removed his helmet as he sighed a sigh of relief. He pointed to Durham in order to signify that he was speaking to the Mandalorian.
I want you to take a couple Mandalorians and post them at the single exit from that prisoner's quadrant. They just might have something that would break down a blast door.
Right away Mandalore!
Cay smirked, it was done...the hardest part of retaking the homeworld was done. He hit his wrist device which opened up a communications channel with Felis.
It's okay, you can bring the Brotherhood and Justice II down for landing. We'll set our base of operations up here for now.
I'll be down shortly...
Cay would need to plan his next steps immediately, and quickly. For if he waited to long he would lose his edge in this battle to retake his home. He left for the Captain's quarters seeing as how they would now serve as his own.

Tarn simply sat helplessly as the Mandalorians were taking over what was once his smoothly running facility. Why the Mandalorians were so bent on domination and superiority, he would never know. They were defeated many years ago by Jedi Revan, when the Mandalorian wars burned across the galaxy; and now they were back for revenge; typical of their kind, so proud, so conceited.
The Republic would have never seen this coming in a million years; yet, somehow it was so obvious that they would retaliate sooner or later, and of all the places in the galaxy, it had to be to same place where he was posted at the exact same time. Something about the whole situation didn’t seem right. The base belonged to the Mandalorians now, but Tarn wasn’t giving up hope just yet.
He noticed a few of his comrades sat around the room; most of them unconscious or simply stunned by demoralization. His lieutenant was sitting right next to him by some sort of coincidence, though he was unconscious too. It was up to Tarn to try finding a way of stopping these Mandalorians. He’d rather die than remain a prisoner to these marauders.
He needed to find a way of getting out of the base and into the open ground, so he could try and signal for help. But without any weapons, equipment or allies, this was a task on the edge of impossibility. Many thoughts swarmed through his mind at the time; however he simply had to remain calm, despite the rather bleak circumstances.
He assumed that they now possessed absolute control over the base’s security, meaning there was no way out of this room through the door which was now completely locked down. However there were no guards posted inside the actual room, something which he could use to his advantage.
He took a quick gaze around the room and noticed an air vent up near the left side of the room. It looked just big enough for him to fit through. That could be his one-way ticket out of here. However, escaping the base was a rather moot point to reach. Even if somehow he did manage to escape, it was obvious that the Mandalorians would have somehow blocked all incoming and outgoing transmissions to prevent anybody signalling for help.
He eventually decided to go for it. He could worry about signalling for help later, and sitting on his backside while thinking about it was wasting time; time that he no longer had. He stood up and made his way for the vent shaft. He made a make-shift ladder out of some cargo boxes to vault him up towards it. He then yanked the vent cover off, revealing a seemingly endless tunnel of darkness.
Stealth would be his only weapon here, and death would be the only penalty for a mistake. He took a deep breath and proceeded through the vent tunnels.

Cay sat in the command center, it had been a while since the facility had been overtaken. It was a small step, and the next would no doubt have to be the recruitment and training of Mandalorians in the region. Cay knew for a fact that many Mandalorians of the past generation had taught their children to hate and despise the Republic. If Cay knew something is that any Mandalorian would take that lesson to heart especially if taught by their parents. These Mandalorians surely wouldn't know how to fight, at least not properly, but they had a hatred for the Republic. Cay thought about it and came to the realization that he needed that hatred in order to bring them in, but hatred of the Republic can't fuel their drive for battle. It had to be for the glory of reestablishing the Mandalorian position in the galaxy. That's what it had to be, if there was any other reason for the stand Cay planned to take it would be for that. Kain, I want you to bring those prisoners to me. I am going to send them to Coruscant with a message. It is too late to hide any further.Yes Mandalore... ***** Tch, these Republic Soldiers are so pathetic...The Lieutenant's eyes sprung open because immediately following those words he felt a sharp pain in his head. Looking up he saw the Mandalorian's boot extended. He was overtaken with fear, but he managed to keep his voice calm. Yes... All the while his eyes looked for the Captain. As soon as he could no longer find him the Lieutenant assumed the worst for his superior officer. At least he died in the line of duty.It was the only thought that went through the officer's mind as he looked at the Mandalorian in front of him. You are lucky that Mandalore has decided to use this bunch as a couple of messengers. He is sending you on your way to Coruscant. The Lieutenant scrambled to his feet and out of his sitting position. He was inwardly thankful for Mandalore's unintentional kindness. Durham and a squad ushered out the contents of the prison room. Uh Durham, you might want to come look at this...It was very unlucky, whoever he or she happened to be they were very unlucky that Mandalorians had taken over the base. This particular Mandalorian was a bit too thorough as he came upon a vent cap. Durham knelt beside the Mandalorian and then looked up to see the exposed vent. He assumed it had been a couple hours since whoever made the attempt had done so. We'll just have Kain make an announcement throughout the facility. Even if he's up there he should hear us. It would also be a lot better than trying to survive on Mandalore. After all we are giving them an express trip to Mandalore.
