"A map." Myn caught the lightsabers and clipped them onto his belt casually. He handed back Regnier's lightsaber.
"It's a bit too pommel heavy, you need to even the weight just a tad more and it'll make it easier on parries with the tip."
Myn palmed both lightsabers, but left them off.
"The master of the facility is still here, according to the datafiles. He hasn't logged out of his room."
Kieran walked down the corridor and opened the door at the end. It led to an atrium which was engulfed in red fire as soon as the door opened. Kieran cursed something as the lightsabers came to life. Using both sabers to deflect, Kieran began moving into the room. Two turrets and four sith guards were acting as a final barrier. The guards had heavy weapons it seemed.
"Regnier, get the turrets." Kieran stopped in the middle of the room, deflecting bolts in nearly all directions, looking like a cheap lightshow. Can't do this forever. Sooner or later someone will slip. Already the Battlemaster's arms were tired. He swore he was going to sleep for at least 24 hours when he got back to the temple.

The turbolift slowed to a stop revealing the master's quarters to the Dark Jedi. His first foot stepped off the lift and his presence emanated throughout the room. It did so by his doing though, he had forced his presence upon everyone. Varion smirked as he looked at the large man before him. The man wasn't exactly facing him, but Varion assumed that he hadn't gone unnoticed. Almost immediately a curious Varion held out his hand. His metallic hilt came into his hands just as a stray blaster bolt zipped past his face. The Dark Jedi looked forward, without emotion, his stance unwavering. Finally he took the second step off of the turbolift and immediately had his feet a good amount apart.
I didn't think Jedi attacked others with so little cause...
The Dark Jedi could have probed further to find a possible answer for their actions, but he didn't want to. His tongue came out of his mouth. It was just enough for him to lick his upper lip then bring it in. In a single instant his muscles tensed only to relax afterwards. His eyes focused in on the man in front of him, only to loosen their hold on the man. Varion knew what he wanted, and what he wanted was a test...

"I prefer it that way. Any lighter and I tend to over-compensate. I'm a helluva lot bigger than you are, remember?"
Regnier dropped low and hopped to the side of the door as the first bolt came streaking towards them, entering a Trakata stance instinctively, but quickly changing to Shien as he brought his lightsaber up. He saw the other man come up from the lift, or, more precisely, 'felt' him come up, but ignored him for the more immediate threat, as long as he didn't make a move. The Dark Side was radiating from the man like stench from a bantha, but its effect was less than notable on the Knight, for he had seen far worse on several occaisions, and had become somewhat...hardened.
Without a word, the Jedi Knight ignited his blade, leaned forward and bent his knees like a pair of giant springs, and launched himself bodily at one of the turrets with the aid of the Force, deflecting any shots that came near him at the other. He landed on one leg, rolled, and came up in a slash that took the upper half of the first turret off. The other turret had already been turned into slag from deflected fire, so he turned his focus on the guards. He advanced on the sith at an aggressive walk, taking roughly half of the fire off of the Battlemaster, but rather than sending bolts off in random directions, he was channeling Shien and sending the heavy bolts back at the shooters with lethal accuracy. The situation was becoming slightly more dangerous, with the arrival of the darksider, and the fact that the Dark Master likely wouldn't take kindly to the intrusion in his quarters and would probably not be long ins showing himself, Regnier wanted to end the threat of the guards as quickly as possible.

Kieran flipped the saber in his offhand, so it was in the reverse position. It wasn't his strongest stance in Juyo, but it allowed him to deflect almost anything behind him with little effort as long as it wasn't a heavy cannon.
Missing a bolt, almost on purpose, he felt a burning sensation in his left shoulder. Using the Force, he converted the pain and plasma into pure Force Energy, channeling it and directing it at the two remaining guards. Their bodies hit the wall with such force, that the wall shuddered and they remained implanted against the wall.
The Battlemaster felt a dark presence nearing. He span and levelled his right hand's lightsaber at the Dark Jedi that had followed them. He paused for a minute, to study the man before raising an eyebrow and making a beckoning gesture.
[[OOC: I'm not NPCing the Sith Master, someone else can do it. Also, keep into consideration that my character is the best Lightside Lightsaber Duelist currently around thus the title 'Battle Master'. A Sith Knight wouldn't last long.]]

Regnier switched off his blade as the last of the guards were finished, moving into a neutral stance at the far side of the room, and looking back at the darksider with a cold glare. His focus changed to the small door not far from his position, however, as another of the dark presences within the embassy grew in presence. He could feel it getting closer, much closer, almost as if it were standing beside him, beckoning him. He had felt the same presence before, what seemed an eternity ago.
He turned to face the door, glancing back at the Battlemaster. "This fight is mine. Do not follow through this door." And with that, he opened the door, stepped through, and sealed it behind him. He was greeted by a luxurious room twenty feet across and deep, with several peices of artwork arrayed around it, a training mat, a desk, a bed, and one figure, hidden underneath a blood-red cloak. But he could see the man underneath's identity just fine all the same.
"Braxus...I wasn't aware you were free of your shackles."
"I've been waiting for this day for so long...you are all that has consumed me, and I have grown in power far beyond what I once had, or what you will ever have. I killed the teacher, and now I will kill the student the same. I will have my revenge for the injustice you have done me."
And so, the battle began, with words long awaited.
((May or may not go into detail on the fight. Haven't decided yet.))

[It's common sense. It's like trying to race a bicycle against a Mustang in a drag race. Completely outmatched.]
Kieran watched Reginer run through the door and sighed as it closed.
"What's with Jedi and dramatics these days?" Kieran lowered his guard, disengaging both lightsabers. He stood among the bodies of the mangled sith troopers. The Jedi let the extra adrendaline flow out of him, replacing it with the force. The rejuvination felt wonderful.
"I don't suppose I could convince you to surrender before you get hurt." Kieran said outloud, in the direction of the corridor. "You will be treated fairly in the court of law. Just toss your weapon away and come out with your hands up.
Yeah. That'll be the day

(but for a Match Combat it wouldn't matter, it would still end with who has the best rp...so, at least to my knowledge, you can't just throw the "I win" card down on the table.)
Varion forced himself to stifle a laugh that would prove to be out of his character. So character of these "Crusaders of Justice". They were so predictable even to the point of asking practically every Dark Jedi they meet one on one to surrender. While this may have only been the third time it has ever happened tho this particular dark Jedi he knew the scenario happened a lot more than just three times.
Varion looked coldly at the one in front of him that was already labeled a Jedi. His eyes slowly looked up and down gauging the Jedi's potential.
There is one thing wrong with your actions...
Varion had gone on the assumption that this Jedi wasn't expecting any words from him therefore the pause was inserted to grab his attention. Varion's cold expression remained unchanged as he began to continue his short explanation.
When you ask for someone to surrender that usually means they have no chance of winning and you are superior to them. If this is the case why do you turn off your lightsabers when you ask me this? Rather than show your superiority you make it seem like you are calling a ceasefire, not soliciting my surrender.
In an instant Varion had summoned his lone lightsaber to his right hand. His stance wasn't anything special, feet shoulder width apart and hands to his sides. It wasn't anything special, but it did serve to cut out most surprise chances that might of been open if he had greeted this Jedi haphazzardly.
You waste your words in the beginning of the inevitable bout rather than use your words at the end when one actually considers that he or she might lose. A lesson you most likely have learned from someone somewhere...you can't hope to solicit surrender while your opposition is still strong willed.
The red lightsaber slowly rose upwards from Varion's hilt as the crimson glow reflected in his eyes.
(Match Combat request I guess)

Kieran's face lit up with a classic Corellian smirk. He turned, pointing his left arm outwards with the lightsaber in that hand in a reverse grip. The blade extended and was close enough to his arm to where he could smell the slight burning of his robe. He brought his right arm back as the silver lightsaber extended, going into Soresu's begining stance.
"It's part of the job description to ask first, kill second. Unlike you and your comrades."
The Jedi Master felt a slight breeze as the air ducts began kicking in, pulling out the stench of burnt ozone. One of the sith troopers groaned.
The hum of the lightsabers seemed to fill the room.
"Your move."

Varion saw the two lights illuminate the room that was now effectively sealed off, the Lift wasn't going to be much use other than for an attempt of escape and the door that lead to the head of the Embassy was effectively sealed off. A few seconds with a lightsaber and that could be dealt with, but neither had a few seconds to spare.
Before he moved the Dark Jedi noted that the lights from the lightsabers had a very iconic method of illuminating the room. Aboth half of the room was a crimson tint hinting at Varion's possession while the other half was tinted a bright yellow, no doubt a composition of Keiran's yellow and silver sabers, signified his opposition's dominance. Much to Varion's dismay he noted that rather than the two meet abruptly they tended to intermingle with each other to make an orange of sorts.
Putting that bit into the back of his mind he looked at the Jedi before him with a passive expression.
Unlike the Jedi every Sith is unique rather than every one in ten Jedi. There is no job description...
Varion jumped through the air seeing as how the ceiling was unnecessarily high he was in no danger of hitting the top. Using the momentum of his fall he used a finishing maneuvar as his opening move. He came down with great speed and momentum in a vertical slash in order to half his opponent.
Moves like these always tend to bring out an opponent's style...

Kieran let the force flow through him as the opposing Force Sensitive lifted off the ground. As the man flew, Kieran began moving.
The Battlemaster's robe made a slight fluttering noise as the man moved forward ever so slightly. The force is my ally.
His main lightsaber spun up sideways to catch the falling blade. Partially crouching to absorb the impact, Kieran kept pressure with his main hand on the Dark Jedi, Kieran moved offensively with his other hand. His off hand, still in a reverse grip, slashed in from the side, at the level of the man's legs.

This large attack was one of Varion's preferred maneuvars. It was so simply because Varion had spent so much time with it that he could get out of any predicament he could possibly find himself in as a result of the move. In fact that was the reason he applied it to his wide range of opening attacks.
So he attacks with them as separate entities?
Of course as Astol made this deduction he knew that nothing was ever set in stone, but he had more pressing matters. Usually not being on the ground would make one vunerable to attack, but as per one of Varion's many calculated scenarios involving his attack he now found a source that he could exert force onto, his opponent. Pressing down with his lightsaber that was locked tightly with this Jedi's Varion was able to lift his legs ever so slightly. It was enough so that the incoming attack went under him. Everything was just enough, there was no excess because there was no need for excess. The landed on the ground safe for now, but the dark Jedi still needed to make the next move.
Varion pulled back and took a force guided hop backwards a relatively safe distance away from this Jedi in order to re-evaluate his opponent. Holding out his hand Varion began to harness the force from his surroundings through the force stored in him. While Varion loved the ability to cut down his opponent with his lightsaber he knew that his true prowess lay in affinity to the force. It was a thing that flowed freely in him.
There wasn't much in the room that could possibly be used against the Jedi. So Varion did the only thing a person could, he improvised. Within moments the force was flying through the air towards the Jedi. Varion wanted to send this man backwards into the wall so hard that he would go through it and fall to whatever watery depths Manaan had in store for him.

Kieran stood and smirked ever so slightly. He allowed both of his arms to fall to his sides, spinning the lightsaber in his off hand so that it was now reoriented correctly.
The ground made a slight hissing sound as the lightsabers came close enough to super heat the floor.
Kieran felt the Darksider brace and begin to harness the Force. He however, expected something more.
To Jedi Knights, it would've seemed like a gale, to a master, a strong wind. To a Battlemaster trained in the arts of Force and Lightsaber combat, it was a light breeze.
Holding his ground, he absorbed the energy, letting it flow through and past him. He revitalized his inner force wells, enough to where it felt like he was overflowing. The Jedi lifted off the ground, using the energy flowing through him for telekinetics.
"Nice try." Kieran came back to the ground, both lightsabers were once again disengaged.
"My turn."
The Jedi Battlemaster used and commanded the Force, his robe rippled and tore as a blast of pure blue energy materialized and was released at the Dark Jedi, moving faster than a bullet from a slugthrower. The shock wave from the moving ball of energy was intense enough to toss the corpses that littered the room, along with any other debris into the walls.

Tch, you Jedi...
Varion held out his right hand as it glowed a dim blue. This Dark Jedi had much technique, form, potential. The thing this Dark Knight lacked was rage. Though it was clear he wouldn't need something like that against such a headstrong foe. As per the teachings of his master the dim blue light was struck by the Jedi's attack, but rather than damage be done all that occurred was that Varion's right arm was pushed back from the impact.
You always think you're superior...
As his right hand was occupied with utilizing force deflection he opened his left palm and it two began to glow a dim blue. The force was Varion's forte and it would be a hard thing to try and best him at his forte.
I wonder, do the Jedi think they are superior even when they are taking in their last breaths?
The Dark Knight's voice was cold as he pointed his open left palm towards the Jedi. The Jedi's display of his "mastery" over the force could only be described as garish at best. Streams of electricity poured out of his left hand as they raced towards his adversary.
Varion hated Jedi, but as with most of his emotions there was no malevolence behind it. In actuality it was more of an annoyance than actual hate.

Kieran raised an eyebrow. What had first seemed to be a Knight absorbed a blast that had sent Jedi Council members backwards.
"We serve others before ourselves. Within selflessness, breeds a greater power than you can imagine my friend. It's rather hard to be selfless if you believe you're better than everyone else."
Kieran engaged his lightsabers once more. They came up in an X fashion to intercept the lightning. The bolts that made it past encountered a sheild. Using the energy the Dark Jedi was gratiously giving him, Kieran enhanced his speed through the Force, jumping off to the side like a blaster bolt. As he flew through the air he hit the wall at speed. Using it as a jumppad, he jumped, rolled and came up at his feet only a few meters away from the Dark Jedi.
His primary lightsaber swung in from above to cut the man in half, his secondary held back, waiting for a reaction and opening.

Almost immediately as he saw his foe bounce off the wall he raised his hand upwards. Just as Keiran reached his person tiles shot up blocking a visible path to Varion. Knowing that it was no match for the lightsaber Varion was already planning his next move. Keiran's saber glided through the tiles that Varion had set up slowed by a couple miliseconds. It was enough for Varion to roll out of the way though, and look back at his opponent.
You say you gain power from helping others?
His voice wasn't as cold as it usually was, rather it was a genuine sense of intrigue that had changed his voice. The Dark Knight still stood his lightsaber at the ready, and awaited for another move. Rather than continue attacking his intrigue got the better of him.
How can you achieve greater ability by latching onto those who will force you to take a step backwards in progression when they can not keep up?
And this Jedi said that he didn't think himself superior, but there was something in just the way he acted that, at least to Varion, emanated a sense of superiority.
(turn skipped)

"By helping others, before ourselves, we make the galaxy a greater place to live in."
Kieran stopped, almost within reaching distance of the Dark Jedi. The Battlemaster re-entered the starting stance of Soresu. The lightsabers' hum seemed to fill the room as the two watched eachother. Master Eitan wondered vaguely what was going on in the Sith Master's quarters, before coming back to the present.
"Yeild."
The offhand lightsaber once again swung into a reverse grip.

Varion smirked at the Jedi's words, they intrigued him but at the same time it ended on a note that looped the entire confrontation.
Heh, you still haven't proven to me that beyond reasonable doubt you are my superior.
While he said this Varion still had no idea of the vast quantities of the force this man could or couldn't summon to his hand. It wasn't that he was scared, but rather intrigued. It had been the first time that it had caught his interest. Perhaps it was because this time Astol, his master, wasn't there to hound him as he watched all the moves the Dark Knight made. The pause of action continued as Varion continued to think.
The Dark Jedi was his own person now, responsible only for himself as per the Sith teachings. He had nobody to scold him for wrongdoings nor lecture him about failure to be a true Sith. He wanted power, and this method of gaining it intrigued him. So he decided that he would do the most Sith thing he could do in the situation.
The lightsaber deactivated in his hands...
I do not surrender to you rather I feel I may test the value of your words. My presence is not of large concern and my part in this can be erased. I warn you though, do not think I have become a Jedi; I merely am fighting unaffiliated for a time to see the road I should take.
For the first time in a while Varion felt he was right where he should be, he wasn't malevolent enough to be a true Sith so he relied on practiced techniques and mastery of the force. He couldn't possibly be a Jedi because that in itself would destroy all of his freedoms and bind him.
He knew it was anticlimactic, but being a Sith didn't necessarily require you to be headstrong. Being a Sith didn't mean your enemy was always the Jedi. At leas that's not what the Sith was in Varion's interpretation. In fact the Dark Knight still considered himself a Sith, just not a mainstream Sith. He would still look to gain power, he would still use his emotions when they presented themselves, however seldom that was, and he still would keep his freedom of restrictions. All the while his thoughts raced he stood still in a basic defensive stance to see if Keiran would believe his actions or deem them false.
(it's only the prologue...)
