Party for the Chancellor! (rich/famous plot)

Anyway, I think we've got a solid number of people who want to get in this, so let's think about what setting we're gonna do.

I think the main option would be to have a fund-raiser.
- Raising funds for what? Whom?
- Location?
- Attendees could include senators/politicians instead of just celebs.

Or possibly some kind of awards show.
- Which show?
- Location?
- Attendees would probably not be able to include senators/ politicians, unless it's an after-party affair. But since we only have one or two senators involved, it could still work to do this idea. And probably more fun?



So, discuss! Or mention other ideas you may have to get our characters all together.

Anyway... I was wondering, to kind of include the main plot... if maybe it was some kind of doing for the new Chancellor? That way it could just be a party and not necessarily a fund-raiser... and there would be reason for celebs AND senators to be there. All kinds of rich folks.

I liked the fundraiser idea. Perhaps it's for a certain group of senators, kinda like the one in the Clone Wars that was against the war, perhaps this should be for a group of senators who either

A. Support the War
B. Want to raise funds to remove refugees from near Sith occupied space.

Stuff like that. I know Nai would be interested in either of those, less people in the galaxy means less fans of his Holo show XDDDD

Makes sense. An afterparty for the channy's election would make alot of sense. A fund-raiser for a chancellor just doesn't do it for me though, know what I mean?

I dunno if there would be a lot of interest for celebs to attend a fund-raiser for/against war, though, Max. I mean, an airhead holodrama star? Ahaha.

If it makes you look better in your fan's eyes, especially the evacuating refugee's idea, a celeb will do it. More fans equals more money

But perhaps just a general party for the Chancellor's election would get her interested, if only her publicist makes her go.
Plus, I'm sure, on the side, some of the senators could whisper about war. I mean, there will be several convos going on at once.

Very true, perhaps this should be a couple threads instead of just one, like, a meeting thread then if people want to pair or group off together and rp, we could do that.

Would the party necessarily be on Coruscant? Or would it perhaps be hosted at a wellwisher / political manipulator's home somewhere or other. Perhaps on the Chancellor's homeworld. At the Chancellor's own house even?

Umm... I was thinking Coruscant, but I am open to ideas.

I doubt it would be at the Chancellor's house. But I could talk to Kella about using the Chancellor herself at the party. Otherwise, she probably won't be there.

I was thinking it would be just a loose gathering, rather than the official party... unless you want to try for that?

I think it'd make more sense for all these celebs and politicians to show up at a formal/ official party type thing, I imagined reporters/ camera people there- almost like a fundraiser type party thing- but instead a big celebration for the new Chancellor.

Yup. Which is why I think Coruscant makes the most sense.
