Talau easily turned out of the direct attack, and by nature, brought her saber up into a graceful arc toward his side. As he bounded out of reach again, the saber flew by where he had been, and she prepared herself for another attack, taking his words in.
Nodding slightly, she stepped foreward lightly, seeming to hardly touch the floor as she did so. Bringing her saber up in an arc at first, she easily changed directions and brought it across at the level of his neck before stepping back a pace and turning smoothly around him and striking swiftly at his back with an easy lunge, then dancing away once more.

With a quick, simple motion, Regnier brought the grey blade up in a parry that left his blade straight up in front of his torso and head, deflecting the potentially lethal swing with ease. Without actually stopping the movement, he spun on his heal, took a step back, and caught the next blow in a cross-parry, before righting his footing again. She has the potential...and the ability. Now all we have to do is fine-tune that. Without stopping to pause, the blade swung above his head in the attack stance, and he moved forward with a deliberate grace, aiming a small cut towards her thigh, turning the attack into an arcing slash towards the opposite shoulder, and ending with two clean slices at the midsection, back then across, before bringing the blade to his side again and moving backwards in the same straight line he'd never left, his movements always graceful, but always simple at the same time, never bounding or twisting, leaping or twirling, just moving forward and back, one foot before the other.
"Getting better, but your movements are too much, too far. Keep your footing simple. Most practitioners of Makashi seem to simply walk, forward and back, keeping in line. Just remember that that line can move, whether your opponent does or not." He brought the blade above his head once more and nodded. "Again."

Tal blocked the first cut with a simple movement, her saber pointed toward the ground, before stepping backward, allowing the next blow...aimed at her shoulder...to soar past her easily. She brought her saber down infront of her and to the side, knocking away his first blow, then bringing her saber over her head to block the next blow.
Moving in an simple line toward him, she lunged with her saber toward his midsection, then brought her saber up in a simple arc, and down toward his neck.

The elder Jedi side-stepped and brought his blade one-handed to his left side, point down, making contact with her blade only enough to keep it a few inches from his torso, let the arc pass, and swung his blade up to intercept the last attack, locking his blade to the inside of hers and flinging it outwards, hard, and quickly reversed the grey saber's motion so it went back towards his opponent, intentionally missing by enough to only be barely felt.
He stepped back quickly a few paces and gripped the hilt in both hands, changing from Makashi to his more familiar Form, Djem So. "You have seen the basics of fencing, and with practice, you will learn much. You are proceeding correctly, and simply need to fine-tune and progress in what you know to become an effective user of the second Form; though mastery of the Form will, like with all the others, require extensive training with those that are themselves practitioners of it. But you have only seen what it is like to face another fencer, now I wish you to see Makashi's fatal flaw, I wish you to see why you must take the greatest care when facing a user of Djem So. Come, attack me again, show me everything you know."

She swallowed her slight fear and went into the appropriate stance. Stepping forward in a more graceful movement than before, she swung at his chest in an upward arc, stepping gracefully, yet swiftly away from his first blow and blocking the next.

Rather than simply parry the blow as he would've done before, the Knight, batted the attack to the side with a powerful, curving swing, counter-attacking immediately in a heavy-handed slash. Continuing the motion, he slashed vertically at hip-height in a sweeping blow with considerable muscle backing it, a blow that easily knocked the parry designed to stop quicker, lighter blows aside with ease, reversed the attack and stopped the humming blade close enough the Talau's neck that the blade's heat could be felt, immediately bringing it back several inches and slamming his left palm straight out in a blindingly fast, though still hammering blow aimed at his opponent's sternum. The strike, coming from the muscle-bound Jedi, had lifted larger foes off the ground before, though he only used enough force to stagger most this time, as well as being aimed at the solid bone of the sternum, rather than the solar plexus where it was normally aimed.
"When facing a user of Djem So, Makashi's defenses, which are intended to stop lighter, faster blows, cannot hold up effectively against the power behind Form Five. Makashi's elegance, its grace, its speed and quick defenses, they are all battered aside by the raw power of The Way of The Krayt Dragon, as it makes its own openings in your defenses. You must never attempt to engage a user head-on, even though that is the primary use of Makashi; you must sacrifice elegance to stay out of their range, to evade their blows. I have defeated a user of Djem So with Makashi, but even as seasoned as I am, it was a very difficult and long endeavor." He lowered his blade and waited calmly, showing no signs of exertion. "Tell me if you wish to continue. Take your time; no use starting before you've recovered fully when you don't have to."

(sorry to cut in like this, but you can't have a character in two places at once, and we don't play paralells here, so, if you two could bring this to a close, that'd be great.)

Talau barely dodged each blow, not able to counter them without slipping into form IV, though she accidentally did at one point, flipping over a blow to her side before being caught with a heavy palm strike to her sternum which nearly knocked her over. She stood there gasping for a moment as she tried to listen to what he was saying, though it was really quite unessecary...the demonstration had made his point quite clear.
Can we move on to a different form?

((Can do, CG. We can just leave the rest of the training unsaid from here on out, and say nothing really special happened during the next part))
"Indeed. You said you used the fourth Form, The Way of the Hawk-Bat. The aggressiveness, power, speed, and grace of Ataru, its wide, fast, powerful attacks, its reliance of always being on the offense, seperate it from the elegance of Makashi." Regnier began as he entered the opening stance of the Aggression Form; a balanced two-handed guard, blade held vertically to the side of the body, hilt at waist-height. He waited for the young Jedi to collect herself before beginning a basic instruction in Ataru.

She nodded and entered the opening stance. She smirked slightly and flew at him, her saber coming in a wide arc toward his chest as she flew over his head in a simple flip then struck at his back.
