Simple: just post the book you are currently reading. And, if you want, why you are reading it and what you think of it.
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. For a book club I am in. I'm just over halfway, and I'm really enjoying it.

Re-reading Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (yes, the one that was actually made by him and not the spin-offs of that god-awful Rainbow Six Vegas.)
Reason: Why not? Tom Clancy is Grrrrreat!

Here's the list of books I'm currently reading.
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald The Wasp Factory by Ian Banks The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter
Reason for reading these three? My English literature course, there's another book but I haven't started on that yet.
Also, there are some others.
Halo: Contact Harvest by Joseph Staten
Reason: I've read the other four Halo books, I've got this one and the sixth to read.
The Dark Tower Volume II: The Drawing Of The Three by Stephen King
Reason: Stephen King, 'nough said.
I believe that's all I'm reading at the moment. I'm not sure, I get confused.

Rereading:
You Shall Know Our Velocity by Dave Eggers
If you get the chance... read anything and everything of his that exists... and then read them again.
Just finished reading:
The Princes of Ireland by Edward Rutherfurd
I've never read historical fiction before, and I checked this book out of the library on a whim and absolutely LOVED it! I couldn't finish the sequel though... I think this one burned me out on the genre for a while.
Wanting to read:
Earth's Children Series by Jean M. Auel. A 4 book series set in the stone age.

Oooooo I was hoping for a thread like this.
Gary Russell - Torchwood: The Twilight Streets Why? Cause I'm a nerd for anything Star Wars or Doctor Who, and Torchwood falls under the Doctor Who category
To read:
Torchwood: Pack Animals Why? Cause its the only other book I own that I haven't already read, I got them at the same time.

Medieval Europe a Short History
it is one of my text books and I am looking for sources for a paper i am going to write this semester.
Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey
It is also required reading for my Medieval class this semester. So far a interesting mystery book that pludges into the Character of Richard III
A biography of the Prophet Muhammad. I have been meaning to go to the school Library when I get back into town and hit our Science Fiction Collection, one of the three largest in the country...oh yeah ENMU baby. Anyway I imagine I will pick up Strager in a Strange Land, I have been meaning to read it. I might also try and pick up Ben Bova's Grand Tour series the year.

Dune: the Butlerian Jihad by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson
Why? Because I haven't gotten to this trilogy yet. Takes places thousands of years before the original Dune. Should be an interesting read. Lots of background info.

"The House that Trane Built" by Ashley Kahn
It's the story of Impulse Records, the record label John Coltrane built, and recorded his best stuff with.
