Blue was in big daddy mode. His daughter had gone missing, running off to perform some rescue on Nar Shadaa. With a low rumble, he turned and began to move, ignoring the others that were with him. If they were smart, they'd follow, a Tarc was a good friend to have on the Smuggler's Moon. With purposeful, long strides, Blue's antennae led him to the alley where Kristanah was, a large canine creature with her.
First instinct was to pick up a dumpster- and crush the potentially dangerous animal. But as the pair of antennae waggled furiously around the area, there was no hostile air about the alley- but Kris' fear was apparent. In a mere two strides, Blue was at Kris' side, the massive Tarc bent low, his eyes darting to the rib cage before Blue's attention focused on the canine. He inched forward, falling to his claws and creeping forward on those four limbs, antennae waggling around the beast. All sorts of smells and tastes wafted from this one- pheromones and scents telling more than any words could. Pain, anger, sadness, and hope all were picked up by Blue.
And there was pride, strong and proud was this man, yes, man. A mighty warrior, and yet shamed. Blue rose to his two tree trunk-like legs and bowed his head to the canine, growling while clicking a couple times, some words coming from Blue.
"You are a true warrior... and deserving of respect."
Said the Tarc calmly, keeping his stance loose and at ease. His time away from his species had taught him that a relaxed position made people less afraid of him. His gaze turned down to Kris before a claw reached down and clasped the back of Kris' shirt, lifting her to her feet before placing a digited hand on top of her head, a comforting coo coming from the Tarc.
She seemed unharmed, and for that he was grateful. Now that he was sure his daughter was fine, Blue turned a black pearl of an eye to the droid and the other small female with her droid, and bowed his head, clacking a thank you as he did. Anyone that looked down this alley would see a motley crew indeed.

Brown eyes watched the large, mangy looking lupine creature back away from her slowly and pick something up in that massively powerful jaw of his. Those two orbs set in her head spied what he had clenched in his jaw as best they could, but her central processor couldn't quite understand what it was until the creature was closer.
During that deliberate walk towards her, Kris scanned her eyes over the creature once more. Her heart ached at his condition, or... at least her central processing unit tricked her into thinking that she had one and it ached. It seemed that the intense fear for her life was diminishing rather rapidly as time drew itself out, for this creature didn't appear to have a want to eat her intestines.
That happened to be a quality she looked for in friends.
Her eyes blinked at the large dog in surprise as the set of still bloody ribs were thrust upwards. This was, quite obviously, a peace offering... and she allowed her ungloved hand to grip it lightly. Naturally, she took the utmost care to ensure that her hand was not cut in any fashion... just in case the man had any diseases. "Thank you," she said with the hint of a smile on her face. Her fear was more or less completely gone by that point, though she wasn't exactly sure what to do with the bone.
Slowly, she allowed her eyes to meet with those icy arctic blue crystals that were set into the canine's head. She had to be honest, looking up at a dog's eyes was fairly unsettling to the woman... and she knew that powerful creature could more or less kill her any time it wanted too. Probably with an infinitesimal amount of effort, too.
But then, she didn't seem to care. Her free hand tentatively moved to stroke the side of his face, and her voice was obviously one of calm and collection, "your a good boy, you never wanted to hurt me, did you? Do you want to come with me?" she asked, slowly motioning towards the entrance of the alley. She slowly backed away from the creature, motioning with her hand for him to follow.
Of course, just then, that damnable big blue crab came barreling up through the alley and stopped low to get a good whiff of the creature. "No! He didn't want to hurt me," she exclaimed, almost frantic, as she went to move in between the large canine and her surrogate father figure. She sighed in relief as he clacked something that WASN'T to the effect of "your dead now, mutha trucka."
"Blue... can I... keep him?" she asked him, a small twinkle in her eye. After a brief moment of the puppy dog eyes she turned back to the actual big puppy dog and, with a new sense of bravery, moved to stroke the fur on his cheek in a downward motion... the puppy she had back as a child seemed to like it. Why wouldn't he?
Well, if he didn't she'd be minus and arm, but oh well.

Ashla followed blue as ODD translated for her. It wasn't all that difficult for the small fleet woman to keep up with the tarc, but by the force he could move. As they entered the alley what Ashla saw made her pause for a moment. If not for the lupines color she would have thought she was facing an akul from Shili, her masters home world. It was certainly large enough. But she noted other differences. It had hands, or something very similar to hands. She sensed no aggression from the creature. But none the less she approached carefully.
Her physical site revealed much to her. The lupine was in bad shape. She saw many wounds on his massive frame. Many looked infected. She saw pus leaking from one such wound on the hounds back. She help back slightly as Blue approached the lupine creature. As soon as he stepped back Ashla stepped forward and stepped around Blue.
She looked at the lupine creature with a different set of eye's now. The eye's of the force. Yes. She sensed the infection. The hunger, the thirst. The rage, and a sense of hope from this creature. Whether he was a sentient or not she couldn't tell. She was no Jedi. She focused more on her own body than the minds of other's.
She walked calmly up beside Kris who had asked if she could keep the hound. This didn't concern Ashla. That was up to Blue. She approached the lupine with complete calm. She moved slowly, her head held level, it was neither a submissive, or dominating manner. Merely neutral, a beta. Her deep blue eye's calm and serious. They seemed to see more than what was before her. They were young eye's, yet wise.
When she finally speaks, her voice is both calm, and gentle. Her voice isn't high pitched, but a soothing alto. Her words even, measured. "I don't know if you understand me, but I mean you no harm. I am no threat to you. I only wish to help you."
She layed an open palm gently on the lupine creatures massive head, smiling gently. She closed her eyes and fell within herself. She grasped that inner spark, that inner light that was the living force within her own body. She grasped hold of it and let it fill her entire being. It filled her until it was ready to overflow, which is exactly what she let it do. The forced flowed forth from her and down her arm and into Piphire in a healing wave. While she was no Jedi healer, she was competent enough to close the worst of his wounds, and beat back the infection that was coursing through the poor creatures body.
When it is done she lowers her hand and opens her eye's. She looked very tired. She rarely healed others. Mostly her power was directed inward, rarely outward. She took a step toward the alley wall, then stumbled slightly. She supported herself against the wall, and would have waved away any offer of help.

For several, long moments, Piphire wasn’t sure if the alien would take his offering. She stared down at it. Piphire could not tell if she was disgusted or not with the offering. It made perfect sense to him, however. If she took his offering, she would have food to eat and she would be solidifying a loose bond with him. The peace offering meant she would not attack him. His eyebrows shifted as he looked at her, arctic ice watching her, waiting patiently and still until she took the offering. Or if she took the offering.
Her paw came up and she grasped the ribs and Piphire gently released the clamp mechanism in his jaw. He took half a step back and lifted his head. His tail wagged back and forth at its own accord, matching his mood. Maybe she did understand some things about the wolvdrachen. After all, it was aliens like her that had captured him in the first place. Perhaps she knew about them and she felt bad on behalf of her tribe? His tail wagged a little faster at the thought. Maybe peace could be established between him and the alien tribes after all.
The alien’s mouth was twisted, and her teeth showed. Teeth showing could either be smiles or a challenge. Piphire had to study different elements to understand to true meaning behind the alien’s showing teeth. She did not appear to be challenging. She had indeed taken his offering. She did not seem to be angry. Piphire spent a long moment judging the intentions behind the female alien’s eyes, drawing a conclusion that she was not challenging and that she was not scared of him anymore. She motioned slowly, gesturing at the front of the alley, her mouth moving. Her foreign voice filled his ears, and Piphire cocked his head to the side, trying to make sense of her. When she moved backward, away from him, his tail stopped wagging. For a fleeting second, Piphire believed she was going to leave him. That was before she motioned for him to follow her. Tail swaying gently from side to side, he followed the alien woman, head lower near his shoulder level.
That was when he saw the huge bug fly around the corner. Piphire was startled by it, pausing in his forward plod and backpedaled a couple of steps. His ears flattened to his head as it lifted up. His eyes grew hard as his hackles raised into spikes. He thought about attacking first, not wanting this new alien form to harm the only one who had accepted peace from him. Piphire held back, however, when the bug alien did not seem to want to hurt the female alien. The bug was as tall, if not taller, than most wolvdrachen, and as it dropped down onto claw-like paws, Piphire lowered his chin to be eye level with the alien as it carefully inched its way toward him. He kept eye contact with it, ignoring the wavering antennas as they fluttered in front of his face. The bug alien backed off again while making clicking and odd growling noises. Piphire only blinked, not understanding what the alien was saying.
The female alien had been trying to be between him and the bug. Now she was stepping forward to him again, as well as another female alien. The first female reached a hand to him, stroking the fur on his cheek. She had done that earlier, when she had taken the offering. Whatever gesture it was, Piphire did not mind it. It brought back bittersweet memories of his mate. Bittersweet those memories may be, but Piphire would rather have those memories than have no memories at all.
The second female had been staring at him for the time span the bug had been flaunting its antennas in Piphire’s face. As she approached, Piphire muttered how he would appreciate it if she didn’t come too near. He didn’t know her. And she did have those harsh rock weapons that shot light or little stones. His large heart beat a little faster as the second female came toward him still, talking to him in a language he didn’t understand. She didn’t sound threatening, but her stone weapons warned him she could be dangerous. The first female didn’t seem to mind the second too much. Did they know each other? Would the first female be able to pass on that he only wanted peace? Would the second understand what peace was? Or was she going to try and hurt him like all the aliens like her before? Piphire shifted to the side, sliding his feet so he was more behind the first female, who seemed to be talking to the bug alien. The first female didn’t call off the second one. Piphire remained standing, ducking slightly away from the second female’s hand before she rested it on his head. Her teeth were showing. Nice? Challenge? Piphire couldn’t tell when the alien closed her eyes.
There wasn’t a way for Piphire to know what was going to happen. He stayed put, that paw on his forehead, staring at the closed eyelids of the second female alien. He swallowed slightly. His tail was still. What was she doing? When he finally felt it, like a warm current of energy, Piphire panicked. For a few moments, he was stricken, and then he yelped and fell back on his haunches. His claws scrambled on the stony ground and he twisted his body in a full circle away from the second female. He growled then, legs trembling, as he backed away from the aliens.
“Witch! Traitor witch! What do you do, call upon Blut Shrein’s power? How dare you insult the gods and goddess so!”
