[Fellheart]

The sith had retreated. And only through the force did he register that he had hit his enemy. He could feel the pain in the force. Through the force. It made him happy. He smiled. But only for a second. The other second he spent in pain. Something had hit him in the face, something round. And really hard.

"Damnit!" He used the force to throw the item as far away as he could. For not long after he was thrown to the ground by the power of the thermal detonator.

"Damnit!" He rubbed his head and got back up again. He could feel the anger rushing through him. There was no stopping him. He moved towards where the sith was and spoke. "You are to dangerous to be kept alive!"

Everything was a blur. Both the thermal detonator and the ground had hit his head really hard. He stumbled up a leg, there was a body to...
It was the sith! He didn't hesitate. He instantly stabbed towards the torso of the sith, hoping that this was the end of it.

[Ardenator]

He waited.

Nothing happened. Slowly, tenderly, he sat up, and then stood. There had been an explosion, he had heard that; but it hadn't engulfed him like he had expected.

That meant it had probably not engulfed the Jedi, either. If that was true, then it was still on.

He found the Jedi standing where he had been a moment before when he had thrown the grenade. He looked hurt, dazed, battered; much different than the opponent he had seen at the beginning of their battle. Of course, Ardent didn't look much different, if not worse. It had been a long fight.

And now, it was over.

That was what he had to come to terms with. He couldn't beat the Jedi; never could. As long as he denied that fact, he could not complete his mission. The best he could hope for was to bring the Jedi down with him.

The meant accepting death.

He took in a deep breath, let it out, and didn't even flinch as the Jedi skewered his gut. He stepped forward, hugging the Jedi close with his stump of an arm. He keyed a comm transmission. "Command, Kuundra. Bridge secured."

He toggled the power-cell overload in his jet pack, and put his other arm the Jedi, bringing them ear-to-ear.

"Good-bye."

There was a flash of white, and then it was over. Again, the battlefield was quiet, almost serene. There was nothing, nothing but the scarred, battered bridge.

It was done.
