Jedi Mission: All that Glitters Plot and OOC

Ok, I'm kicking this off as the discussion thread for the Rodia mission for Mon'vuuem and Cree. ^___^

I figure we can work up where we'd like to kick this off from and how we'd like this happy little mission to progress. XD

Well hello thar!

Yeah, like I said in the other thread, I'll gladly play one of the NPC DJs, though I still need a bit of time to think up a persona. And, if no one else takes up the role of the CEO, I'm open to, but we can wait a while and see if anyone wants it. Anyway, that's it for now, just letting y'all now I'm in if you'll have me.

I'll post again once I have a character thought up.

So, yes, it's perfectly fine to bring Jaeden along, it might be a bit awkward to RP, as there will be two Otters, but it's quite fine with me.

Yea, we're gonna need to find some NPC's though :/

Ok, sweet. I'll bring Jaeden then. I have no problems writing multiple characters at once as I've done it a few times before. ^__^

I suppose we'll wait to see if we can gather a few more NPC volunteers and then we can kick this off. If you like, we can start a thread just to get things rolling that would consist of our characters all getting together and flying to Rodia but that's only if you're up for it. Otherwise, we can just start the thread once we have enough people to fill the NPC positions and then place the thread on Rodia to start. \

And yes, Rugs, we're HAPPY to have you along for which ever NPC you are interested in.

Yea, I'm all for a thread that kicks off the meeting and such, while we await the NPCs.

Ok, that's no prob. I can kick it off if you like.

We need to go ahead and decide somethings ahead of time, I suppose. We need to figure out which Jedi Master will be taking the lead in the negotiations. Both Jedi are similar in their abilities. We don't want to be talking over each other though so it might be good to decide which Jedi will set the tone diplomatically and which will be the lead when it comes to things like action. I would suggest that we run with the idea of one Jedi trying to solve the situation via talks with the diplomats in question while the other does some sneaking about and poking their nose in places to investigate who might be behind the sudden change in loyalties. I would recommed Cree and Jaeden for the super fun sneaky investigation stuff and Mon'vuuem for the more talking role unless you haev a preference.

Also, as a question, since this is going to be my very first ever mission in this RP, do we make up our own sotry completely? I just wanna make sure if I start throwing out all sorts ideas like "ok, we've got two DJs. So maybe they are doing 'X' and then we sneak up and catch them talking to so and so", ect. If there's a definitive little plot set aside already I don't want to steamroll it or ruin it.

Uh, yup, well, either works. I could see Cree taking it easy with Jaeden by showing him examples of diplomacy, but I wouldn't put it past Cree at all to adopt the sneak around role. In my mind, it's a real toss up.

As for the mission, usually what happens is that we start it and the players and NPCs move it along in whatever direction to go in. If we need to have something figured out, we just take it to the OOC discussion board, and figure it out there, and keep it goin.

But, yea, you're definitly welcome to start the RP and we can go from there

Anyway, that's a basic overview of what I've got for the DJ NPC.

Er... is he the only DJ, or are there others?

Sounds like a formidable opponent. ^__^ There are supposed to be two DJs so I'd say each one needs to be a good match for a Jedi Master. There will be a padawan along but he's young and inexperienced so he really won't be as good at combat. We're talking JUST made padawan. ^__^ So, we are currently just kicking around a meeting thread while we look for the rest of the NPCs.

And I'm talking to him at the moment and would like to pass along that Twysper has also expressed interest in taking up the other DJ. He should have a post up in here at some point in the near future.

Oh awesome! That would be fantastic. ^__^ I'm looking forward to RPing with both of you! It might be a few days as Casual and I get the thread spun up and running but it might give you and Twysper a chance to talk it over and see what you'd like to do. ^__^ I, personally, am up for ANYTHING. I have no limits on what happens to any of my characters in stories save that I'd like to have some input if/when then die. I don't want death, obviously, for either of my charries in this paticular mission but aside from that, GAME ON. Have at. ^__^

Hey poppin' in for a spell, just a forewaring, cuz I'll be mixin it up between a bit of studying, Exams, packing, friends (and farewells for the break) and SWURP (cuz there's some awesome stuff goin' down in here recently IE: THIS xD ) But... yea..

Never RPed with Twys before, so this should be AWESOME. I hope he takes up the DJ role, I would love for someone crazy to be the CEO, can't wait for that, and I too, like Otter, am up for whatever you krazy DJ's got. Cree ain't dying though, that's just straight up not gonna happen, lol. And, as Otter said, GAME ON.

No worries about how often you can get on to post, Casual. Real life is important and takes presedence. I'm just excited about being able to RP with all you guys and I'm not going anywhere any time soon. Besides, I'm trying my best catch up with all the art requests I've got.

And also, as far as deaths go, I never plan on killing a PC unless I have explicit permission from the owner of said PC(or we're in a practice duel, but those don't count), so we should be fine, since I had no plan of killing your charries. But the wonderful thing about NPCs is that you don't have any attachment to them, so who knows what'll happen to Nieraan? I might take a page out of Cas' mean book. XDDD

Awesome. Now I'm allll kinds of excited. This will be Jaeden's first ever mission and there's TWO awesome DJs!!!! XD WOOT!! And of course, Twysper, we'd LOVE to have you as our other DJ. ^___^

Ok guys, here's the fun stuff. Cas and I have the thread kicked off and our Jedi are on the way to Rodia now. I think we should figure out what exactly to expect when they get there. I was going to have the Prime Minister meet them at the City and right off the bat, I think it would be EPIC to have things just NOT go as planned. An assassination attempt could be made on the Jedi as they get off the ship. Perhaps our DJs don't want the Jedi poking their noses in too far. XD That could be anything from a bomb planted on the landing platform to a sniper that tries to pick them off.

Then, from there, Cree and Jaeden go investigate Theekar while Mon'vuuem does the diplomacy thing and tries to convince the Prime Minister to stay in the Republic. Any thoughts on this? I'm totally up for what ever direction we wanna go here. Do we want to go straight action packed "Holy CRAP" adventure? Drama? Intrigue? Or some of all. Everyone involved feel free to toss out some ideas here on what we think would be fun to RP out. XD

And we'll also have to do some sort of intro posts for our NPCs to officially put them into the story and establish character and all that. Just give us a heads up when you are ready, and we will sweep in with evilness ;D
