Right, okay, this is like... my fourth time putting up something, but I wanted to start a fresh thread for this year. So, yes.

Some people on the site know I can draw. I've made comments I can draw. I have not posted up much of anything new this year but the stuff I did in January. If you go to the second page, you can find that stuff I did in January.

Now I present to you what I can do this half of the year. This is December. I've had a whole year to work on my artwork. Without further ado, I am going to show you last year's portrait, taken with a phone camera that sucked, and this year's portrait, also taken by picture because it is too big to scan. A couple have been in the cbox when I've been up late working on Liam Neeson's portrait. Now is your chance to see this. xD

January 2009: This one was of a random girl I was given to draw. I spent two weeks and only in class doing it. The first draft was stolen during school hours. The second draft I had to get done in a week.






December 2009: This should be quite noticeable who this is. I spent a total of three weeks on it. Half of the time I spent was working at it at home. This drawing took me a total of thirty to thirty-one hours to complete, from beginning to finish. The shading alone took me twenty-seven. And a picture of this will have to do. Unfortunately I cannot get it exactly how it is in real life. I present to you Liam Neeson:






Now, for a proposition: I am a pencil artist. I don't do that digital stuff like Otterling. I can do line arts and traditional drawings. I can do some colorings, but I prefer not to. I actually want to wait upon this until I can get my markers around Christmas time. Because the above are pictures, things are a little white washed out and smaller, uglier details are focused in. Scanning looks completely different.

If there's anyone who would like me to draw their character, I can give it a shot. I would like to try and work on my artistic skills a little more.

Be prepared: I am working on a traditional for my parents' anniversary which is two weeks. I have two weeks to work on this drawing and have to dance around my parents' schedules to do so. In times that I am not drawing, I hope to be writing or working on some requests. I am going to try to do an art dump around Christmas time. And there's several characters around here I've used to inspire quick little sketches of ten minutes or something likes that. Some of them aren't even done, lol. I'll show you my uglies because I think they're absolutely hysterical.

Wow, a lot of writing. =3 Now, I'm not trying to detract attention away from Otterling. No, no. In fact, I would like Otterling and I to co-exist on the same forum as artists, lol. xD

Oh hon, don't worry about "detracting" from anything!! I LOVE that you're posting up here! It makes me happy to see a fellow artist and trust me, I'm not the sort to be jealous of anything. I think you offering to draw for others is fantastic and I want to be one of the first to make a request!

Would you draw my Jedi Master Mon'vuuem for me? If she's too odd or you'd rather do something else, I'd LOVE to see your hand at my Sith Di'Shan. ^__^

Can you draw Romeo in his armor? There should be some pictures already in the apps, but I'd like one that shows how he actually looks for SWU, not what inspired me for him.

EDIT: I think you've shown that first picture before, cuz I remember saying how much it looked like Legolas. xD

I used to like to think that I could draw... then I met folks like you and Otter at my school and it totally blew my mind. >.< Oh yeah >> then I saw my mom's scetches. *reminisces* xD Before I go off on some huge rant... they're great, Squee, and it was great seeing the Liam piece as you completed it.

Not gonna implore a request on you, either. =P Keep on keepin' on, you're "ossim."

Edit: Yeah, Karl, but Legolas is one of them nancy boys. He's half girl anyways... at least the movie version. >.> I pictured him kinda manly... in what tiny lines of dialog he had.

Okay, so, I haven't posted on this thing in like two years. But I have drawn since then.

The first is something I drew last year, toward Christmas time, for my mythology class. The teacher still has it hanging on his wall, lol.




Next, I have something that happens when you give me and my friend some sidewalk, chalk pastels, and four hours of free time. Yeah, we won "Best in Show".




Now, I have some stuff I did for other people. Some I didn't tell, some I did. Some I meant as gifts and had an epic flop in giving them. But I know those who have them are happy to have them.

Unfortunately, the photo puts this one to shame. I can't seem to get any decent viewing of this one, scanner or picture, no matter what I do. Jace, if we ever meet in real life, I'll be sure to put this one right into your hands.

Berserker's RESS is a newcomer. He came out pretty good, but I tend to go back over drawings and fine tune them for weeks after they're "finished". Was exciting, Serker. Maybe we'll do it again in the future because I love Echo <3

Oh yeah! Me and my best friend are the reigning chalk drawing contest champs! Two years in a row. Unfortunately, we may only be able to do an exhibition next year. D=

So, I have some more interesting stuff and decided to update.

Some of you should know Thane Krios, from the Mass Effect games. Lemme tell you...










That's all wet, pre-fired clay. I do have a picture of him surviving the kiln and he's all propped up on a stand in my room, painted and everything. xD I'll have to get a picture of it tomorrow.

So, there's yet another kind of artwork that I participate in...








I enjoy henna tattooing. For those who don't know, henna tattooing is where you or another person draws designs on your skin by squeezing a paste onto the skin. You're supposed to let the paste dry and stay on your skin for as long as you can. The paste stains your skin. When the paste is washed off, you're left with the design on your skin for 1 to 3 weeks, depending on how often you wash dishes or shower. If you wash dishes five times a day, swim, and take two showers, it's gonna come off in about a week, lol.

This is my third time doing this. The first picture is the design my friend drew on me. I drew on my left hand and my foot. xD I don't exactly have my friend's elegance and gift of improvisation, BUT I love my left hand anyway. <3

And I don't know why that second one refused to flip...

So, once again, I draw something else.

Besides Kella's character Jack (who will come around some time), I decided to draw my own character, Sali, because of excessive muse.

So, I decided I wanted to share some "WIP" pictures, which are simply a series of pictures showing the steps of a process. This is sort of like that, but kind of fail.

Decided to do an update.

Kind of did something other than drawing. I've found I enjoy making things with my hands rather than draw things. Ceramics is an expensive habit, so I decided to try my hand at something else.

Plushie making.

This is obviously not done. He will be the Doctor from Doctor Who. Ten, to be precise, aka, the one played by David Tennant. He will be a gift to my cousin.

I've had so many bumps along this road. I've never sewn. I've never worked with fabric, I don't know it's behaviors. This has been a work in progress for three months now with me just working on it during the weekends, about my only free time. I'm sooooo happy that I'm almost done with the body of it, so I can begin to work on some clothing.

Sorry for the quality, my phone's not the greatest, but here are some pictures:





I pretty much pin and sew and turn inside out. This is an arm pre-sewn.





This is the sewn body, inside out. I included my hand for a size reference.

Here I attached the arms to the body. I actually just did this today. You can see my fuel in the background: chocolate in the blue bag and soda.
