Rhissai's gaze slowly shifted from the carrion to Kvothe, her previously brilliant green eyes dulled to a less than glowing shade. Ignoring the color, one would've noticed a certain kind of fire raging within them. All of the determination, valor, hope, and righteous fury had fizzled out only to be replaced with a mixture of disappointment and anger.
Disappointment indeed racked her heart: if she was smarter, then she would've captured that weapon and stopped any chance of suicide. But no, she chose the path of arrogance and relied solely on her ability to coerce the now dead man to tell her what she knew, without locking out his movements or taking his firearm. He could've just as easily shot her. Anger at the fact that she couldn't plunge White Fang's scintillating blade deep into his bloated chest. "Where do we go from here?" With a sigh, she only shook her head mildly and cast her sad green eyes from Kvothe to the ground.
In that instant, Rhiss cursed herself for not recognizing the new being sooner and spun towards the it, the angry silver tip of White Fang's blade pointing menacingly at the new arrival. Obviously, Rhiss hadn't deactivated the thrumming lightsaber during these events... and likely wouldn't until she knew the threat was over. Along with her covenant to only bring out its light when needed, she would also only deactivate it if it touched flesh once during the instance. The flesh of her enemy, a corpse, or her own if there were none available.
"I believe the answer you are looking for is Nal Hutta. If it is Korintha you are looking for, then thats where ya gonna find him. Oh by the way, the name is Eva, its a pleasure"
If there was a lie or any treachery coming from Eva's voice, Rhissai couldn't sense it. "I am Rhissai," she left out the latter part of her name, "show us the way, then." Rhissai was no fool. She knew that this "Eva" could've easily been an agent for the hutts... though she didn't look it. Or feel it. A quick mental probe told her that she wasn't such a foul thing. Not that she had a choice, of course. If it were a trap there was the chance for she and her companions to take another lead, and if not they'd be within striking distance of the hutt. Finally.
Ethereal tendrils of her mind latched onto the fringes of Kvothe's and Krae's, and sent a message that only they could hear through the newly forged connection. This would be undoubtedly awkward for the mandalorian, but it was the most secure way for her to communicate with them both... and vice versa, should they decide to use think to her. She'd just read Krae's thoughts, since he obviously didn't have telepathy. "She's not lieing you two. Unless she can lie to me in her mind."[/color]
Slowly, Rhiss brought her blade around and slowly dragged it along the dead lieutenant's arm. The acrid smell of burning flesh was the only thing to herald the entrance of her blade into the first layer of the dead man's skin. She didn't do this to desecrate him, but rather to satisfy the blade's need to touch flesh. It was either him burned, or her. The way she saw it, it may as well have been him.
