Coruscant, the largest city in the galaxy where the buildings reach the clouds and all important matters of the Republic are discussed by a senate that represents every planet in the Republic. But more importantly, it is the planet where the greatest heroes of all reside, the Jedi. This place might have interesting things for me to learn from thought Reven before he looked out the window of the large bulky public transpiration ship he was in. When he looked, he couldn't believe how beautiful the lights emitting from the towering buildings in the night. The skies were full of ship with all sort of alien races and the streets were crowded with people despite the fact that it was just the upper streets.
As Reven continued to look, he suddenly felt a rush of excitement as he thought of all of the possible adventures and people he might meet. Since this was where the Jedi resided, he couldn't help but wonder if he might encounter a Jedi there, but he quickly dismissed that fact figuring that the Jedi wouldn't spend too much time on Coruscant and would be spending their time on other planets. But that still didn't weaken the excitement he was feeling.
When the ship landed at the space port, Reven and all of the other passengers got out of the ship in a single file line and when he got out, he noticed how terrible the space port was. The metal walls of the space port appeared to be rusty, garbage was scattered across the floor and large rats can be seen eating some of the eatable garbage. That's what I get for getting the cheapest tickets thought Reven as a dark haired man bumped into him. The man said he was sorry and as he apologized, Reven suddenly had a bad feeling. So he checked his pockets and noticed that his wallet was missing as the man ran away.
"Stop that man! He stole my wallet!" shouted the young hapan as he chased after him.

"Eh, I could've done better than this place," Kvothe muttered as he stepped down the exit ramp of the Masada and into the old space port. "Ah well. I'll be alright." It'd only been a matter of time until his galactic wanderings brought him to Coruscant, capital of the Republic and home of the Jedi Order. To be honest, he was surprised it'd taken him so long to get there, but it made no matter. He was here now.
As per usual for stops where he didn't expect a need for it, he'd forgone wearing his armor, and dressed in the robes he wore underneath it. Simple, comfortable leather boots were on his feet, and gloves that cut of at his fingers covered his hands. Pietas, his staff was held in his right hand, and Orcus, his sword, hung behind his back through the dark green sash that wrapped around his waist. It wouldn't be much of an overstatement to say that he stood out among the people that milled around him.
The color of his eyes shifted, as they were prone to do, as Kvothe started to make his way through the old building. Their natural hazel faded, replaced with the pale, crisp blue of curiosity as he looked at the people that came off of various other ships throughout the port's campus, and at the glimpses of the cityscape off in the distance. The plan was to spend the next few days here, seeing what all he could see. After all, it couldn't at all be hard to find something of interest on a world as massive and storied as Coruscant.
His attention was drawn away by the sudden sound of a yell from a boy. Kvothe looked up to follow the sound to the source and saw the kid, who looked to be around fifteen or so, running from a line that led away from some transport. And, running away from him--right at Kvothe--was a man, the one that Kvothe assumed the man was the one that the kid was claiming stole the wallet; the way he was running certainly pointed to that as a possibility.
The man tried to jostle past Kvothe when he reached him, but Kvothe decided to look into things. Instead of moving aside, he struck out when the man drew near, grabbing the man by the front of his shirt and sending him down to the ground. His knee went onto the man's chest as he crouched over him, and Kvothe snorted softly as he looked into his eyes. "You know, doesn't really help you if you're running away from the person that claims you stole something." Kvothe looked up, back at the kid that yelled out a few moments earlier. "Hey kid, is this the man you were talking about?"

When Reven saw the older man suddenly grab the thief by the shirt and sent him to the ground, he suddenly stopped and watched the man put his knee onto the thief's chest as he crouched over him. The man would then ask Reven if this was the man who stole his wallet and he said "Yes, that's the guy" as Reven walked over to the thief and took the wallet from his hand. He would then check to see if everything was there before looking back at the man. During his time as a slave, he had seen all sorts of people coming into the cantina he worked at and this was the first time he has ever seen a person wearing red robes carrying a staff and a vibrosword. But then again, this was a huge galaxy and there were still a lot of things about the galaxy that he hasn't learned yet. "Thanks for stopping that guy for me. I really would have been screwed since that's all the money I have on me. By the way, my name is Reven Starlight, what's your name?" asked Reven with a friendly smile on his face as he extended his hand towards the man that stopped the thief. (ooc: I can't believe I spelled thief wrong )

{Haha, it happens. You can edit the title if you want, y'know}
"It was no problem," Kvothe said as he forcefully ripped the wallet out of the man's grip. He looked up to Reven, and little threads of green ran through the pale blue of his eyes as he returned the boy's smile. Kvothe stood to his feet once more, letting the man stumble off to vanish into the crowd again. "It's nice to meet you, Reven. I am called Kvothe. Kvothe Algaterra," he said with a nod as he took the hand that was extended to him. They shook, and when Kvothe's hand receded, Reven would find the wallet was resting in his palm once more.
Kvothe studied the boy for a moment longer. Were he a woman, he might think Reven handsome, with his fair skin and moderate build. The boy was about half a foot shorter than Kvothe, and looked to be about fifteen years old. Kvothe knew looks could be deceiving, though; because his own species aged slower than humans, he looked to be a man in his early twenties, when he was, in fact, thirty. Of course, there was also something about the younger man that piqued Kvothe's interest. It was a feeling that lingered about him, though Kvothe couldn't put his finger on what exactly it might be. Not yet.
The Rilan started to continue on in the direction he'd been going, motioning for Reven to follow. "Tell me, Reven, what's a boy like you doing out and about on your own in a place as run down as this?" He turned one of his green and blue eyes to glance at Reven as he walked on, awaiting the boy's response.

"It's nice to meet you Kvothe" said Reven as Kvothe shook his hand. Kvothe would start to continue walking in the direction he was walking towards before he stopped the thief and signaled Reven to follow him. As Reven followed Kvothe, Kvothe asked him what was someone as young as him doing in this run down space port. Reven of course could understand why the Rilan asked him this since he looked 15 years old and it was obvious that this place had some criminal activity after the little incident he had with the thief.
"Well ever since I was a slave, I always wanted to travel all over the galaxy and meeting new people. The closest thing I had to that was reading books and listening to whatever the spacers had to say about their travels in the cantina I worked at. Eventually my master lost me in a bet when I was 14 and my new owner set me free. I then stayed with him for a year before I decided to do what I've always wanted. And for the past two years, I've been traveling and getting money to pay for the cheapest public transportation tickets I can find by doing odd jobs" explained the young hapan as he continued to follow Kvothe.

"You were a slave?" Kvothe looked back to Reven as he walked on, toward the main lobby near the entrance to the spaceport. He shook his head sadly. He had a very low opinion of slavers, truthfully and especially of those that took children on to work as slaves. "That's unfortunate. People deserve better childhoods than that." Kvothe hoped that Reven had at least been able to know his family, rather than being raised away on some foreign world, away from anyone that shared the same blood as him.
He continued on in silence for a moment as he thought over what Reven told him. So he was made free when he was fourteen, stayed with his master for a year, and has been traveling for the past two years. That'd make him seventeen. "Seems you've had an interesting life, Reven. I'm sure you've seen some interesting things," he finally said again. That odd feeling emanating from the boy continued to nag at the back of Kvothe's mind, though he still couldn't place what it might be. "What kind of jobs do you usually do as you go about your travels?"

"Well I wouldn't say that my childhood was that bad. Sure I have no idea what planet I'm from or who my blood relatives are, but I was fortunate enough to have a slave take me in and treat me as her own son. In fact, the last name Starlight is her last name name and I honestly have no idea what my real last name is since the blanket I had only had my first name. Plus the only thing I had to do as a slave was clean and eventually I given the waiter position at the cantina while someone else took over my cleaning job" explained Reven as he continued to follow Kvothe towards the main lobby.
"I do all sorts of things ranging from being a temporary waiter at a restaurant to picking up animal waste. I usually try to avoid the animal waste jobs though since I always find some large animal waste that completely surpasses my expectations in terms of size during each job. The last one I found was almost as tall as my head and as long as my arm" said Reven with a light smile knowing full well that Kvothe might be surprised with the size since it usually surprised everyone he told

"Well I guess it could've been worse," Kvothe said as they entered the lobby. It was a bit more crowded than the other parts of the port they'd been in, though, compared to other spaceports Kvothe had visited, there weren't too terribly man people there. It probably had something to do with the rather run down condition of the place. "You should count yourself lucky, then. I've heard stories of slaves who've been put through much worse." Memories of what Alindra Vordrinn, the woman he'd met on Ruusan, told him of her time as a slave floated to the surface of his mind. She'd been through some rough things, and the thought of some of what she'd told Kvothe stilled made him a mix of sad that she'd had to go through it and angry that someone would have the gall to put her through it. There's no changing the past, though.
Reven continued on, telling Kvothe of some of the things he'd done to make money. Some of it was expected, like working as a temporary waiter, but the part about cleaning up animal dung caught him off guard. He laughed warmly when Reven informed him of one particularly large specimen he'd encountered. "Well, it was probably a smart decision to avoid that then, eh? Doesn't sound like the best job to be working, y'know?"
They continued on, out through the exit, and into the city proper. Kvothe came to a stop when they reached went outside, looking at the massive expanse of buildings that stretched out before him. The natural hazel of his eyes faded, to be replaced by a pale blue as he stared out over the cityscape. "Ah, Coruscant, " he said. "It lives up to all of the stories."

"My foster mother said the same thing" said Reven after Kvothe told him that slaves were put through far worst than what he's been through. Reven then couldn't help but remember his foster mother telling him that his life wasn't as bad as he though it was whenever he cried since there are other slaves going through more difficult hardships than him. When they got to the exit, Reven couldn't help but look in awe at the massive towering buildings that were all over the city like planet of Coruscant.
"The place where almost everything important happens and the home of the Jedi" said Reven right after Kvothe said that the planet lived up to the stories. As Reven said that a tear shed from his right eye as he honestly couldn't believe that he was actually on Coruscant. All of his life, he dreamed about one day visiting the planet and now that dream has finally come true.

"It is a marvelous place," Kvothe said as he looked about him. The buildings stretched out in either direction, reaching toward the heavens above, and stretching on for thousands of feet down to the planet's surface down below. "The Jedi, though," he said, pausing to think. Some in his order weren't really fans of the Jedi, claiming them heretics that cared little for the holy energies that they used. Kvothe didn't really mind them, though. Their methods were different than those of the Mythics, but there were far worse things for him to get riled up about than the Jedi. "Well, there an interesting group, to say the least, eh?" He looked over to Reven to see a tear sliding down the young man's right cheek. At first he was taken aback, but he realized that Reven wasn't weeping from sorrow, or at least it didn't seem that way. Rather, it seemed to be more a sense of awe, or wonder. Kvothe just smiled and turned, moving off down a street, motioning again for Revent to follow.
"So I'm guessing this is your first time here as well, Reven," he asked. "I've seen some of the other planet cities, like Nar Shadaa, but none of them really can compare." AS he spoke, that feeling about the boy returned, and he finally decided to do something about it. He took hold of the Mythos--what his order called the Force--and reached out with his senses, gently probing out toward Reven. What he found surprised him, though, when he thought on it, he should've realized it from the beginning. Interesting...

"I find the Jedi very interesting. Just listening to whatever stories the spacers had about their selfless heroic deeds and the amazing feats they could preform always captivated me. If there were more people as selfless as the Jedi, I personally think that the galaxy would be a better place to live in" said Reven as he eyes lit up in excitement. Reven loved hearing tales and talking about the Jedi since the tales he heard about Jedi when he was a slave always fascinated him due to their super hero like status. Reven of course wondered why the Jedi never came to Tatooine and free the slave until he came to the conclusion that the Jedi would never start a fight to get something and that they were more focused on maintaining the Republic since they provided a large amount of people freedom and that the destruction of it might deny those people freedom.
"Yeah, it's my first time. I've always wanted to come here. Is there a reason why you're here Kvothe?" asked Reven.

"Me? I'm just a wanderer for the time being." Kvothe grinned wryly at Reven. "It was only a matter of time until I made my way here. After all, all roads lead to Coruscant, right?" Kvothe adjusted his grip on his staff a bit as they continued on through the crowds of people that filled the street, moving to avoid running into anyone.
"But, to say more than that, I belong to a certain order. As you know, there are groups of My-er... Force users throughout the Galaxy. There are the Jedi, of course, and their counterparts, the Sith. But there are smaller, less well known organizations, like the Matuaki, or the Zeison Sha, groups like that. I belong to one such group, called the Stellar Mythics." He shrugged. "I'm an enforcer of sort, and I'm on a sort of leave for the moment, so I have time to see the Galaxy until I'm called back to Aiaru. So I said to myself, 'well, Kvothe, here's your chance to see Coruscant,' and here I am." Of course, he didn't tell Reven that he'd been sent away for a time because his superiors feared the stresses of his job where pushing him to the edge of breaking, nor did he tell him of the conflict he'd had with for years with his older brother, or of the threat of civil war that could tear his home apart. No, Reven didn't need to know any of that. At least, not yet, anyway.
"Tell me something," Kvothe said as he turned to look at the young man. The green faded from his eyes to be replaced by an icy blue, the color they became when Kvothe was curious or otherwise interested in something. What he'd felt a few minutes ago had certainly gained his interest, and he wanted to know something. "How much do you know about the Force?"

"I never even knew that there were other groups other than the Jedi or the Sith that could use the force" lied Reven after Kvothe told him that there were other force user groups and that Kvothe himself was part of a group called the Stellar Mythics. Reven of course heard about force user groups that were basically users of the darkside and assumed that all three groups that Kvothe mentioned were in that category. When Kvothe turned to him, Reven couldn't help but noticed how his eye color suddenly changed color as he asked him if he knew anything about the force.
After the question was asked, Reven suddenly had a bad feeling despite the fact that the group Kvothe was in wasn't a group that mainly consisted of darksiders. But more importatnly, Reven had the feeling that he was going to ask him to join the group he was in. He honestly didn't know why he was having this feeling, but his instincts told him to get away from him as soon as possible. So as Kvothe adn Reven continued wlking through the crowd, he started slowing his pace unil Reven himself was lost in the crowed with Kvothe out of his sight.
Reven would then start walking to his right in order to lose Kvothe while hoping that Kvothe didn't have some kind of force ability that could find him.

"You didn't know there were other groups?" Kvothe laughed a short, warm laugh. "Of course there are. The Jedi's reach is long, but they don't get everyone that can touch the Force, you know. No, some slip through the crack, or others are too old when they're found. Some just don't trust the Jedi. Whatever the reason, a number of Force sensitives have formed those various groups over the years." Kvothe shrugged. "Most of them are pretty benevolent, but there's the occasional malicious gr-" He turned to glance at Reven, and was surprised to see the young man had vanished.
A spike of worry shot through Kvothe's stomach as he initially feared that the man from the space port had tried to get the boy's wallet again, or worse. No, I would have sensed that. The Rilan came to a stop and looked around, turning his eyes through the crowd. He couldn't see Reven, but he didn't need to really. Instead, he reached out with his senses, probing the areas around him in an attempt to find the young Hapan again. "There he is." Now that Kvothe knew what he was looking for, it wasn't really hard to find the young man.
He moved off after Reven, and after pushing through the crowd for a few moments, he saw him. "Hey Reven," he called. "Is everything alright?"

Good, now that I've lost him, I can now focus on finding a place to sleep. Though that place should be as far away from here as possible since I heard that Jedi can sense people and since they are basically trained force sensitives, there's always the chance that he could find me thought Reven as he continued to walk away Kvothe. Then all of a sudden, Reven heard a familiar voice from behind and when he turned around, he saw Kvothe pushing through the crowd trying to get to him.
Looks like I can't run from him seeing how he found me this quickly. I might as well explain why I did what I did. Besides, there's no way for him to kill me out here in public if he's one of those people that kills when he's angered thought Reven when Kvothe got to him.
"Look, I don't know how, but I get the feeling that you want me to join your force group for some reason and I have a bad feeling something bad will happen if I join your group. So far my feelings have saved my life more than once when I was a slave working at the cantina so to answer the question you plan on asking, no, I'm not joining the force user group that your in" explained Reven.

Kvothe stopped short when he felt apprehension growing in Reven. The young man turned around, and the look in his eyes gave Kvothe pause. Reven went on to say that he would not, in fact be joining Kvothe's order, to answer the question that Kvothe was so obviously going to ask. Well, obvious to Reven anyway. That wasn't the line Kvothe was going down, but he could see why Reven might think that. Still, it was amusing. A forest green came into Kvothe's eyes, making them an odd mix of blue and green as he laughed a warm laugh.
"By the six moons, kid, that's not what I'm asking you. Perhaps if I was in the Light's Guide, but I'm not. Well, not directly, anyway." Kvothe waved his hand dismissively. "No, my question about what you know of the Myth, er... Force was to see if you've ever touched it before." Kvothe lifted a rust-red eyebrow as he looked at Reven. "You do know you can touch it, right?"

A puzzled look suddenly appeared on Reven's face when Kvothe told Reven that he had the ability to touche the force. Reven would then think about what he has read about the force in books and from what he heard from the spacers and started to think about some of the things he has experienced through out his life. He first started to think about how he was able to avoid dangerous people at the cantina just by using pure instinct and then how his dreams were coming true before realizing that what Kvothe said was right, he could touch the force.
"That would explain how most of my dreams are coming true. But out of most of my dreams, the one that seemed to be the least detailed was of this blurry person appearing to wield a lightsaber. If I had to guess, this person will some how have a big impact on my life, but I honestly don't think that this person would train me in the ways of the force since I'm too old by Jedi standards" said Reven hoping that Kvothe could probably make more sense of the dream that he just explained.

"Perhaps it might," Kvothe said under his breath when Reven mentioned his dreams. "The Mythos--what my order calls the Force--often tells us things through dreams and visions, as you probably know. My own mother was a powerful visionary when she still lived." Kvothe's free hand went to his head, running through his auburn hair for a moment before falling slowly back down to his side as he pondered Reven's words.
Dreams could mean a great many things, and the world of discerning them was one that was rife with uncertainty. Even Etain, his mother, had difficulty discovering some of the meanings in her own visions, the most frustrating example being the one that dealt with Kvothe and his older brother. This dream Reven spoke of, with the figure with a lightsaber... Kvothe shook his head. "I'm not someone that has dreams or visions often, so I don't really have much experience with trying to discern them, Reven. There are so many possibilities; they could be a friend, or foe. They might not even be a Jedi, whoever they are... The hole can go pretty deep." He tapped a finger on his chin thoughtfully for a few seconds. "Still, don't think that the lightsaber means they're a Jedi. It's not the lightsaber that makes the Jedi, in the same way that simply using a staff doesn't make me a Mythic. They could be a Jedi who's left the Order for whatever reason. Or they could be someone who was never a part of the Jedi Order, but was trained by a person that was at one point or had the knowledge to build one." Kvothe laughed softly to keep himself from going on and spread his hands a bit. "See what I mean? But, if it is a vision from the Force, it'll come to pass at some point. You'll learn its meaning then, I'm sure."

Coruscant. An ecumenopolis. The entire planet was one huge city. A city that ebbed and flowed with billions of sentient beings. To call Coruscant a 'melting pot' would be a severe understatement. If there was a species, at least one of them lived on Coruscant. If there was a ship, you'd most likely see it in the Coruscanti skies.
It was a planet very near and dear the heart of one Trandoshan grey Jedi. His name was Teemo'Tay, and he very much had rambling fever. Never stayed in one place for too long. It was in his blood to see the Galaxy. But Coruscant was one of his favorite planets to return to. To him, it was practically a galaxy unto itself. Friends, enemies, lovers. They were all to be found on Coruscant.
Speaking of enemies...
A small scuffle had broken out in the spaceport. A Brubb and a Boltrunian were fighting over some small trinket on the ground between them. Shouts about mothers and species flew as the two grappled. The Trandoshan sighed, shaking his head. He approached the two, reaching for his lightsaber."Excuse me, sirs, he said politely. "There is no need to come to blows over such a small object." Both turned to stare at him. A polite Trandoshan? This was unheard of. Teemo'Tay ignited his lightsaber for extra effect. "Please. Stop fighting," he insisted. The combatants looked from the Trandoshan to his lightsaber to each other then back. 4 seconds passed, then they both took off running in opposite directions.

"Yeah your probably right. It will come true eventually though and hopefully I can figure out if this person is a possible friend or foe" said Reven after Kvothe told him that the guy having the lightsaber might not mean that the person was a Jedi. However Reven hoped that the person in his vision is a Jedi or a Jedi that left the Jedi Order that could train him. Reven would then look behind after hearing a small scuffle from behind that was ended by a Trandoshan wielding a lightsaber.
Reven would then walk closer to the Trandoshan in order to get a better look while hoping that this might be the person he saw in his vision. However, when Reven did get that good look, his instincts told him that he wasn't the person he saw in his vision. But it was the first person Reven ever saw with a lightsaber and Reven wanted to get to know the guy better, so he walked up to the Trandoshan and asked "Are you a Jedi?"
