Meira waited, not commenting on Arichi's admittance of his lack of skill. That was yet to be determined. She did, however, find it odd that one who does not feel inclined toward combat would find himself drawn to building two lightsabers. But she pushed the thought from her mind as Arichi advanced with a basic attack. Meira parried the slash to the the side and nodded her head. Good. And now defend.
Then she brought her own blade upward for an overhead strike. She moved a good deal slower than one would in a true duel, but her aim was to asses his knowledge of the proper movements, not to see how quickly he could react. That would come later.
((OOC: Keeping it short so as to allow you to react. Also, heads up that we might just be heading out to start that agri-corps plot soon so we might cut this off short))

As his first attack was easily and expectantly parried, Arichi allowed himself to flow into a defensive side-step, to his left, his blade coming up at the same speed that Meira's was descending. The Training blades met, sparking slightly as her blade hit his outstretched one, his body already moving back slightly, his Blade coming with him, into one of the More defensive stances of Shii-cho.
Inhaling deeply, Arichi watched Meira's form intently, noting where her feet were, how she held the saber in her hands. He had, without meaning to, lied slightly. While he wasn't anywhere near the skill of some of the other students his age in the Realm of Actually using the Sabers, he had memorized the Theory a while back.
With an exhalation, Arichi's foot slid in as he shifted his arms, moving into the Second attack motion of the series he had started earlier. Thrusting the Blade forward directly, his right foot slipped, giving out underneath him and causing his attack to go towards his master's knees, rather then at her torso. A sharp flash of pain came up from his knee and ankle. Suspecting the worst, he sighed, knowing his problem. Overthought it again he thought to himself.

Meira angled her blade downward to counter Arichi's forward movement, but an unexpected error in the boy's form called for her to jump backwards to aviod being hit in the knee of her lead leg. Arichi's reaction to his movement was enough to show that she didn't need to point out his mistake.
It's alright. Move on. She said, coaching him to not dwell on his mistake but to stay in the moment. She swung her blade around, aiming at his exposed right shoulder. With this movement she brought the speed up slightly. Even mistakes were chances to learn and Meira would see how Arichi brought himself from faltering to back on track.

Even though Meira didn't bother to Reprimand him, Arichi could have sworn he saw shame in her eyes. Pushing himself to his knees, the Chiss Padawan inhaled, then Rolled to the side, Guided by the Force to dodge the incoming Saber's blade by Rolling Under it and back up to his feet.
Bouncing upward, his blade came up with him in a short slashing motion toward the back side of Meira's kneecap. If it were a lesson that he was destined to learn, it would be learned. Yet, if at the same time he could offer a new perspective to his master, he would

In all honesty, Meira was not used to fighting against someone shorter than herself. So if it was a new perspective Arichi sought to show her, his goal was met. Meira had to move into Soresu with a quick twirl of the blade, brigning it close to her body in order to defend against the unexpected strike. She then turned, so that the two were again squarely facing eachother.
Interesting. She said, as she advanced, truly picking up the pace now. She positioned her blade for a quick upward strike from where it had blocked his last blow. Rather than testing his knowledge of Shii-Cho, his reaction to this strike would help gague Arichi's creativity in his response. Of what she knew of Niman, Meira knew that the style required a great deal of flexibility and improvisation.
((OOC: In order to expediate our movement into the mission with Vreem, I will be cutting us off with an NPC master coming to us and giving us a mission after your next post.))

Surprised by The rapid, spinning block, Arichi brought his blade back close to him. He had seemingly forgotten in the moment that, of course, his master would have knowledge of one or more styles other then Shii-cho. Yet, in that moment of Retreat was when She had attacked, having commented on his previous maneuver. Swallowing the saliva that had Built up in his Mouth, Arichi felt himself moving, though not by conscious actions, it were as though he were being tugged at by thin strings, leading him to make his next move.
And move he did.
Bending backwards, Arichi's Targeted leg lifted upwards, the Training blade barely grazing his calf with the sizzling smell of Burnt cloth following it. But he continued to move, his free hand pressing against the ground behind him, supporting him in a way it hadn't done before, his momentum carrying him over his own body, flipping him over to where he landed, nearly two paces from Meira, his Master, in a Crouch.
That Crouch, it was as though his muscles were coiled springs, and releasing them, he Flew forward, his Blade shimmering as he slashed shortly.

Meira smiled as she watched Arichi move. From her limited knowledge of the form, she could sense that Niman would suit Arichi well. She had little time to contemplate this, however, for shortly after his impressive, move, Arichi continued with another.
Again, Meira had to move quickly as a blue blur came sailing forward. With a spin sideways, and her blade held up to block Arichi's slash, Meira avoided the attack, allowing the boy's momentum to carry him past her.
Very good. She said. Moving in with a slash of her own. The two continued in their Shii-Cho duel, with Meira every now and then adding unexpected movements to push Arichi into improvising. After some time, the two took a rest and discussed their combat.
When they felt rested, Meira took out one of the holocrons Arichi had brought from the library. Soon, they were both learning the basic movements and forms of the Niman style. At this point, Meira and Arichi were both learners, and they practiced side by side.
Their practice was interrupted, however, when a knight came into the room announcing that Meira was needed in the Council Chambers. Meira left Arichi with instructions to continue with the lesson until she returned.
((OOC: This might take some time, or it might happen really quick, but this is Meira leaving to receive orders to check out what's going on on Bakura.))

Left alone by his master, Arichi watched her leave, his head tilted to the side. When she had dissappeared from the Chamber and started down the hall, he turned back to the table, his Sabers seeming to Taunt him with their presence. It only took three steps for him to be right next to them.
Arichi's hands moved over the Cold steel and Bronze, feeling the power within the blades as he caressed them. Impulsively, he raised them up, feeling their Heft once more before returning to a Holocron and Activating it, watching as the master within explained the use of Two Sabers when Using The Niman Style.
For over an Hour he watched, not moving Until the Instruction had Finished. That's when he stood, the twin blades igniting with their Snap-hissing noises as he started to practice the forms, forcing his Muscles to remember, trying to manipulate his Body into working with him and not Against him for once. It was hard, and within a short while, he was sweating heavily and breathing hard.
Letting his Sabers hang on his belt, he sat once more, calming himself by breathing deeply as he went into his bag of Library goodies once more. That's when he Found it, the single Holocron that gave any instruction on Meditation support. Triggering the Master's Appearance, Arichi's eyes locked onto him as he Followed the steps that were listed, keeping himself concious in order to continue to learn.

Lallane walked into the training chambers, her footsteps were light, her hood raised over her head. Her emerald eyes were lost in thoughts of both patience and eagerness. The doors to the training hall slid open and immediately she sensed several other force users in the room with her, some of them were strong in the force which seemed to relax her the longer she stood in the doorway...the doors closed behind her. From under her hood she spotted the training terminal and walked over too it, pulling her hood down revealing her long dark locks.
With a small look of grief she stood over the terminal and paused. She had come here so much with her master, who was now one with the force...it felt so different without her standing next to her now poking around at the terminal and telling her to prepare.
For a few moments she simply stood there and stared at the whirring buttons before deciding not to do any lightsaber training right now since she was probably thinking too much on the future and not enough on the present to react like she normally would.
'You need some relaxation girl....' she thought to herself. She moved away from the terminal and into an area where no one was training or speaking. She sighed to herself, relaxing herself from her head to toe as she sat down.
'Feel the force....' her eyes closed. 'Let the force sooth your thoughts....sooth your body...sooth your thoughts...sooth your body....sooth your thoughts.....' she began to levitate off of the ground slightly as she simply sat there and went into the Healing trance. Eventually all she could feel was the force, and the volume of the room had dropped to nearly nothing though she could still here people speaking in echoes.
Lallane floated about a foot off of the ground, indian style...letting the force sooth what troubled thoughts or feelings she had...moment by moment she felt more and more like she could handle anything a new master had to throw at her. She remembered for a moment, the feelings of loss she experienced when her master perished, but then remembered the end of the Jedi code that she recited each day in class as a youngling. Smiling lightly to herself as she floated there, she spoke aloud to herself.
"There is no death, there is only the force." hearing herself say it relaxed her even further and allowed for a deeper feeling of relief. Soon enough she knew she would be ready to start some lightsaber training for the day, but for now she simply enjoyed the relaxing and healing feelings that the Force brought to her as she levitated calmly in the training room.

Her levitation continued and for awhile she thought that she would simply slip away in the force...it always felt so good when it's peaceful power overtook her in a state of deep mediation. Her jedi robes draped towards the floor as she bobbed up and down, trying her best to keep her concentration on not only the force around her but the force inside her. This was always the most important part to her in keeping things balanced when trying to remain in a state of mediation.
Her thoughts began to slip into the past, and in a twisting like fashion everything around her changed. For a moment she opened her eyes and was in the same mediation position floating calmly, except nothing but desert stretched out in front of her.
'Am I home'?' and as the thought echoed in her mind everything twisted again with the same type of disorienting feeling visually and she was back in the training room. Only this time her eyes were open and she felt a lot less focused, almost dizzy. "What.........was that?" she hadn't ever experienced anything with the force like that. What had happened just then? Was it some form of vision, like the kind she had read and heard about in her jedi training? She had always experienced a sense in tune with the force, pulling her towards a right or quick move but a flat out vision of that manner of cloudy twisted vision had never happened like that before.
She looked a little worried now as uncomfortable features crossed her face, briefly. She calmly stepped back onto the ground of the training room and crossed her arms comfortably under her robes continuing to wonder what had just happened. The soothing color of the jedi temple often made her feel like she was back home on Tatooine with her brothers and mother, especially the way the sun set on Coruscant sometimes. "It makes the temple feel like home at moments like this....maybe that had something to do with it." she told herself as she stared at the floor lost in thought. All the experiences and teachings she had went through here taught her not to linger on things that cause you doubt and confusion, but she definitely knew when something wasn't right. Had the force shown her Tatooine, her home planet for a reason? Her long dark locks moved behind her cloaks as she decided that she would head to the Jedi Archives the first chance she got after meeting her new master. She performed a magnificent stretch before eying the terminal that she had turned away from at first, she felt a lot better now after her mediation, her body was more relaxed and her mind was as well despite the surprise 'twist' in her meditation.
'Some daily lightsaber training is in order after all....I suppose I will be instructing myself....' she smirked at this always enjoying the art of lightsaber use. Wondering what type of style she should train against, she considered working more on her Ataru in honor of her late master. Though her Shien and Djem So could both improve as well. She ended up deciding that she would work on both as she clicked the terminal to life as several screens projected up in front of her. She couldn't quite decide whether to practice more against blasters or another lightsaber. 'Don't be indecisive!' she told herself as she immediately clicked the lightsaber training droid (Form V) on. 'It would be better to train with blasters against a non-droid I think...for some reason yes.' she told herself as she walked center training room to face the droid that had activated and whirred to life, activating a green lightsaber of it's own. She dropped her cloak as she walked forward a little, summoning her lightsaber to her hand with the force slowly from the back of her belt under her hair. She turned it on in the next instant, as the turquoise blade sizzled to life with two sweeps on either side of her as she took her form against the droid.
For a moment she waited, and the droid simply began to circle her. She did the same, moving her lightsaber from position to position occasionally. The droid chose to come in with a low strike that she simply scooted backward and swatted upwards away from her, with a spinning uppercut like block. While her lightsaber was still raised from this defense she spun forward and slashed downward sharply at the droid who defended across the middle. In a flash she attempted a slash across the middle of her own and then another one back across the left, the droid blocked both in two sizzling contacts of blades.
She hopped backward again only this time the droid followed forward and slashed downward at her, she blocked and attacked at it's legs with a sweeping strike. The droid blocked it and attempted to spin forward with a lift strike of it's own she simply moved to the side, spinning her lightsaber and slicing the droids head off from behind it as it flew past her when attempting to counter attack. The clang of the metal body of the droid hitting the ground, was followed by the louder clang of it's head hitting the ground as Lallane spun her weapon and clicked it off, placing it in one of the loops on her belt. The droid disappeared into to digital code and nothingness.
She sighed and smiled to herself, she was getting better at Djem So but she took steps back to regather thoughts and retreated when she honestly should be feeling and counter attacking. With another sigh and a humorous sort of 'you'll get it next time' look she grabbed at her cloak with the force and it floated softly into her hands as she walked past it. With a lady like swing around herself, she had her cloak back on and put her hood back up.
'The trials........' for some reason crossed her mind. She wondered how they would be....from under her hood her eyes seemed to light up with the thought of experiencing something new from the Jedi Order that had already changed her so much. Already she was almost a knight...it seemed like only yesterday when she had successfully stopped an object mid-air with the force. 'But you're not a knight just yet....you still have one long year ahead of yourself....and then the trials after that....not to mention....a new master.' she turned towards the door and looked at it, no one else had come for her. A few people had come in and out while she was dueling with the droid but she hadn't really noticed whom.
'I suppose patience is the best, thing for myself.' she walked over towards another senior jedi who was training with his own group of younglings. He nodded towards the older padawan as she took a position up on the wall to watch the class and bide her time, Lallane bowed back to him with a "master" and continued to watch as he went into a lesson to the class who all listened intently. Lallane grinned to herself when she realized that he was telling them about the importance of knowing that the Force was something they would need to know well in the future.
For awhile she leaned there on the wall, but then found a seat as the lecture drew on. She crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair a little. 'I wonder how you're doing mom....' she said with a slightly worried look on her face, but a smile on her lips as she watched some of the younglings laugh at a joke their teacher had told before he motioned for silence again. She sat there for awhile, comfortable around the force in the room especially the feelings of eagerness she felt through the force from the younglings...probably the same feelings she felt when she was one of them...in a class here in the training room in the Order at the ages of no more than six or seven. With a sigh her mind went back to her own upcoming lessons...whatever those would be...each of these younglings would be different padawans one day...and then different knights another....who knew what the future held for all of whom learned the ways of the Jedi? 'Thinking deeply are we?' she told herself in her mind and chuckled at how she related younglings to knights and vice versa, to her they were all a family and one with the force together regardless of age, race or rank.
She continued to watch the class of younglings from her seat on the edge of the room. Patiently waiting for her own new master to possibly walk through the doors of the training chambers.

Char: Mal Konti Rank: knight Job: Healer Race: Hutt Timeline: after Return to Serenity of Montita
Routine, Mal had buaried his very large head in routine of work for there was alot of it. Medical check ups that hadn't been done since he did them last and the annual check up of the younglings too was neded. So this is why Mal Konti Jedi healer and hutt was here at the training room to fell two mynock with one stone. The instructor and the students were on his list and he did not want to have to chase after them all week.
He slowly slithered into the training room as the younglings got on the way of their training. His great body wriggling and writhing as he moved. Most would have thought that his body was all fat and soft but few knew that under his skin was nearly all muscle. On this account he would look some what thinger than most hutts his age. Moving to the younglings lined up on the wall he worke his way down the line until he came to a hume female that was obviously not a youngling. With a great HOO HOO HOO OOOO Mal said to Lallane.......
Look like your a bit to old to be in this group hhmmm... That is OK. By the By have you had your resent medical check up? It would not take more than a few mychrots of a second.
Giving the young lady a very wide smile the only way a hutt can he waited for that common few words, 'Uh I'll get it checked out tomorrow'.

Lallane calmly sat in her chair with her legs crossed...the younglings continued on with their training asking questions here and there sometimes. Some of the questions made Lallane smile as she seemed to remember a youngling version of herself asking some of the same questions.
Just then she felt a shift in the force, something large was about to enter the room. The training doors slid open, and no one walked through...rather something slithered through along the ground. It was a Hutt. One she had seen before around the temple but hadn't spoken to directly. For a moment she saw it move it's yellowish eyes around the room, it then settled it's gaze on her.
For a moment Lallane felt him out through the force, he seemed strong in the healing ways of the Force just like herself. After they made eye contact with a brief moment, he slithered closer to her. She sat there with her legs crossed in her chair as an amused smile crossed her face. She raised her eyebrow as he talked and then giggled a little when he finished. She remained in her chair with her thighs slightly revealing themselves from her sitting position under her robes, she bounced her leg a little and responded.
"Well....I've never had a Hutt look me over before..what's it like?" she asked in a slightly flirtatious manner, wondering just what kind of physical this rare Hutt knight wanted to perform on her.

Once again he chuckled. Here again the image of a hutt with a slave girl came to the minds of beings. Reaching into his bag he removed a med-droid it floated over to her and waited for Mal to give the signal to start.
This is about as physical my exams get......Noding to the droid....But if it find something then we'll have to go about it another way.
Mal waited as the droid finished then he looked over the chart on his med-pad. Shaking his massive head he said......
Have you been off world lately? There are coming online new regulations for vaccinations for new ones. There has been a few minor out breaks of old diseise. As for you......
He stretches out in the force to look upon her through the force.
You may need to get a review of the problems the healers have, since you your self are worthy of helping and to keep yourself safe.
Mal down loaded a copy of the problem area of health concerns and handed it to her in data card form.
By the by have you thought of becoming a healer?

"Elsie, have you come to help with the lesson?" The instructor greeted the young woman who had entered near the back of the class.
"I suppose I could. But I'd rather just observe, if you don't mind, Master Saren."
"How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that? It's just Dimir. I haven't been your master in a long time."
"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not going to stop, Master?"
Dimir Saren shook his head and sighed, before returning to his lecture, as his former apprentice Elsie Therin moved quietly to the corner of the room, where she sat down. It had only been about two years since she had achieved the rank of Knight within the Order, but it seemed almost a lifetime ago. That had been before the war. And rise of the new Sith Order.
A lot could happen within the span of a single year. She had gone on missions, fighting pirates and crime lords. And then there was Rhen Var. That shook in her more ways than one. It wasn't just the number of Sith, or their ferocity. She had encountered somewhere there, someone who... No, it was best not to dwell too much on that. That story would unfold at its own pace, and it would not have a happy ending.
She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, just listened to the voice of her old master and those of the younglings. There was something comforting and stabilizing about that. Much had changed, but some things were still just the same. Of course, if the Republic and the Jedi didn't win the war, those things would disappear too, but for now...
Besides, she would never let that happen, not while she still breathed.

The hutt surprisingly was extremely efficient, pulling out a med driod which was small in his grasp. It scanned her harmlessly within moments as he continued on with a few questions...and some advice to go along with it.
Lellane smiled from her seat, having been scanned in moments while sitting and having this be her first real encounter with an actual Hutt. She wanted to chat with him a little and ask him about his family and the Hutts. He was pretty strong with the Force, she wondered how a Hutt wielded a lightsaber? With another nod of gratitude she accepted the file and tucked it away in her robes.
"Well my trials are coming up soon after my birthday hopefully......" she continued on. "I suppose I should start thinking about what roads the force will take me down." She had heard so many stories of the Force and what it can do to a person so she knew that she would always have to be steadfast, lest she become a murderer or something far worse. "As a Knight who knows what I will follow, healing isn't the only thing I'm capable of.....but it is a skill that is extremely important to me." the training of the younglings continued aside from their conversation, in the next series of moments Lellane noticed the training doors sliding open again. This time it brought a presence of the Force that felt powerful enough for her to look up and stare.
The jedi in silver and white, an Echani glided into the room...she was beautiful and elegant with long silver hair. She observed the class, Lellane noted that she referred to the teacher of the class as "master" but couldn't pick much else up out of the conversation with the Hutt jedi in front of her. In the end she supposed that she would just have to worry about succeeding in doing what her new master had set for her, whenever that time came. She stood to her feet to excuse herself to the Hutt, with a bow. "Thank you....." she rose from her polite bow and crossed her arms under her robe.
She began to cross the training chambers, the younglings were there gathered listening to the teacher and she didn't want to walk across the middle of class and interrupt. So she walked around the backside of the class, looking first to the teaching jedi. As she continued to walk, her emerald green eyes met with the silver eyes of the Echani. For a moment she felt connected with her through the force, but it didn't last because she continued her focus on leaving the training chambers as she passed directly in front of the silver jedi.

As the class ended, Elsie got up, and after exchange a few brief pleasantries with her old master, left the room. She pulled out her datapad, noticed a new message, from the Council no less. What could it be?
A padawan request.
The pool of potential teachers within the Order had been getting smaller. Some had been killed in action. Some, like Rhissai, had left the Order. Others, like Mirian Fel, had betrayed it. But still, she had to wonder what was going through the heads of the Council members when they decided to pick her name out of the potential teachers hat.
There was a picture of the student included with the message, which looked... oddly familiar. Where had she seen that face before. Of course! There had been an older padawan in the training room who had left shortly before she did. Perhaps if Elsie hurried she'd be able to find her.
She started walking at a brisk pace. Well, let's get this over with.
(( since they're no longer in the training room, let's move this to a new thread, shall we? ))

Jackson briskly walked into the Training Chambers, throwing his cloak off shortly through the door. The training chamber was completely empty, but Jackson continued walking over to wards the sparring section.
He walked over to a corner of the back wall and tapped two droid-prones on the top, and they both came to life. These droids were voice active, thus meaning you could tell them what to do with your voice. Each of them looked like a miniature flying saucer, no bigger then the size of Jackson's head. They started to sore around the room flashing green, each one doing a circle in the opposite direction.
Jackson moved himself into the center of the circle, and positioned his feet in a defensive stance. He quickly spun the light saber hilt in his right hand and it ignited with a 'snap hiss'. He brought his left hand onto the hilt of the blade, and pointed it to wards the ground in a 90 degree angle, his right elbow pointed in the air.
"Low intensity, speed 70, .. START!", Jackson yelled at the droids.
Instantly the droids turned red where the green was before. One droid fired a quick shot off at Jackson's lower left knee. Jackson easily brought the saber blade down to deflect it. As soon as the blade connected with the first shot, the other droid fired a shot square at his back. Jackson heard the shot of the second droid and knew he didn't have the speed to block it, so he improvised. Jackson quickly used his motion with the first deflect, and started in a forward roll. The second shot briefly flew over Jackson's head in the midst of the roll.
Jackson came out of the roll and started in a full out run forward to get away from the two droids, but they quickly followed. They fired another two shots at the heels of the human. Jackson felt something was biting at his heels, and he quickly turned and swooped down at the ground behind him with his saber blade, but instantly turned and continued running again, now taking a quick left in his run. His blade deflected the shots back at one of the droids following, but it easily dodged it in the chase.
Jackson came to one of the pillars amongst the training chambers, and held his back against it, hoping the droids would past. Surely enough they brisked by, and Jackson quickly jumped out behind them now on their tale. One droid was about twelve feet in front of him before noticing Jackson was chasing now behind them. It simply came to a stop, attempting to turn around and approach it's target, as the other started a circular motion back to ward Jackson's own back, but he had time to cut one down.
Jackson leaped in the air about four feet before the droid. His light saber came crashing down on the top of the droid, in a vertical slash. Cutting the saucer like droid, in two.
Four short bursts came from behind Jackson, and he quickly turned on each heel into a defensive stance. He brought his saber up and deflected three of the four bursts. One of the shots burned across his right shoulder. Luckily it wasn't a real blaster.. he thought to himself, but the pain was still real.
Jackson gritted his teeth, and bit his lower lip, and now gripping his hilt even tighter. He started in a sprint toward the droid, and it fired two quick shots off. Jackson easily parried those off to the side, still charging at the droid who was flying toward its target.
As soon as the droid fired another shot Jackson was in the air. It's shot completely missed Jackson, and his blade came slicing horizontally through the droid in mid air. Jackson landed in a roll, but eventually jumped to his feet, un-igniting his saber. The two droid-prones laid in pieces throughout the training chambers.
"They need to make these things more difficult and challenging, that was a joke..",he mumbled as he walked toward the entrance.
He fastened his hilt to his belt, and reached down for his cloak. Jackson quickly through it on, his hood covering his head as he left the Training Chambers.

Ysera Vai sped towards the training chambers her hair flowing and shaking side to side as it always did. She was already late for her daily practice and had no time to waste.
As she approached the doorway to the chambers a hooded figure came out of the door but there was no time for her to slow down. As she got closer she leapt into the air and landed behind the exiting Jedi.
"Sorry." Ysera giggled as she dashed into the doorway and out of sight.
Finding her favourite wall she stretched and prepared as she scanned to room for someone she could have as an opponent.
"There MUST be someone... I grow tired of fighting droids." She muttered, more serious now. This was her place, her favourite place. The excitable and hyperactive Ysera was left at the door. Her she had to be focused. Here she had to train.
Still waiting for someone to come along who looked worth sparing with she began doing sets of flexibility training drills, to what looked like a silly exercise for some was a complex routine incorporating strength training, range of motion and gymnastics improvements.
