Description/Role:
Hiker Vehicles decided to “test the water” with a new vehicle design. With the war in full rage, Hiker decided to design a vehicle to help the Republic, but not fight so much. They came up with the RR-7700. Designed for search and rescue and troop transport, the RR-7700 stays close to the Republic’s front lines. But the Republic isn’t the only people Hiker Vehicles sells to.
While the RR-7700 sees limited use in the Republic, Hiker also sold the model to multiple independent worlds, and individual worlds in the Republic. Such places used the RR-7700 for police forces, firefighters, and EMS. While the firefighting and EMS versions do not have any weapons on them, the police forces usually request the keep the weapons mounted, but only use the medium repeating blaster cannons and the door guns, opting not to use missiles in an urban environment.
The RR-7700 has no repulsor technology, it was designed as an actual helicopter. While this is less than ideal for stealth situations, the rotors give the RR-7700 increased maneuverability. With no repulsor tech, the RR-7700 can operate in places where repulsor tech cannot, such as if a magnetic field disrupts repuslors. Some may see rotors as archaic, others as efficient. Whatever the case, the RR-7700 see enough use for Hiker Vehicles to keep manufacturing them.
