A series of terrorist attacks have rocked various cities throughout the planet. People are scared, and the government has been ineffective at dealing with these attacks.
The Sith Empire offers to help deal with this problem, leaping to the opportunity before the Republic. Their most immediate problem is a rancor that is running rampant through the capital. Their government is simply curious why the Republic continues to bother them, now of all times.
News of the growing turmoil and war is the main reason the Republic insisted on restarting previous negotiations in the capital of Ankhela. The team travels under the flag and protection of the new Chancellor, who hopes to gain a new planet to the Republic. If negotiations stall, she has a secret card for the diplomats to play, a long shot idea that could further separate the Iktotchi if it doesn't work.
The team is there to try to convince the Iktotchi that it would be in their best interest to join the Republic, while the Ikotchi only can think of cons of doing so.

Mission Briefing: The Hutts have kidnapped Flavio Artaga, the son of Jonus Artaga, CEO of BlasTech, while he was partying on Umgul with friends. Their hired bounty hunters have taken him to Tatooine, the most remote Hutt cartel-occupied planet, and he has been secreted away deep in their stronghold. Greegar the Hutt is hoping to ransom him or extort exclusive manufacturing rights for their criminal organization. The bounty hunters remain as extra protection.
Afraid for what this might mean for the future of the Republic's arms manufacturing and receiving pressure from the Senate and the Artagas, the Chancellor has sent a Jedi team to Tatooine to rescue the teenager before any harm comes to him or to his father's company. It is also meant as a show of force to send a message to the Hutts that they are messing with the wrong government.
However, at the same time, another group of individuals is working towards a similar goal of getting Flavio Artaga for themselves: the Exchange. Ladder-climber Fre Zalq has recently been put in charge of a new Exchange cell on Tatooine. And upon reporting to his superiors about the Hutt's activities in the area, he has just been tasked by his sector chief to capture the Hutt's prize for their own. His has put together a small team of Exchange agents supplemented with mercenaries to accomplish this task. [/font]
