Bio/History: Born to the wealthy Bothan Clan Rana on Bothawui, Kaio grew up as much a patriot as any could be, both to the Republic and to his homeworld. As he grew up, he joined the Republic security forces stationed on Bothawui in order to help settle small disputes, acting in a small police force for a few years. Soon, though, he began to turn away from just being the Bothan Council’s muscle, and turned to begin trying to solve problems on a much larger scale. So he worked his way up through the ranks and began to work closely with the Bothan Council, eventually becoming a member at the young age of thirty. Eventually, though, his talents in dealing with the many other species and cultures that the Council had to deal with garnered him the privilege of representing Bothan Space in the Galactic Senate.
Once he joined, his talents were, again noticed, and he was quickly placed onto the Interspecies Advisory Committee and the Internal Activities Committee.
Kaio is an avid dilettante of the galaxy’s many races and cultures. He is able to speak many different languages, and can interact with even the galaxy’s least familiar represented species. He is also a master negotiator and mediator. To many in the Senate, he is a shining example of what the Senate strives to do, however, his kindly attitude has caused many to find him a weak leader.
