Donnie felt her throat close up and started gasping for air, oblivious to what was actually going on. She felt her eyes tear up as she tried to figure out a way out of the situation, she started frantically looking around as her shoulder found the wall and her hands came up to her throat, in some vain attempt to pull the force that was choking her off her neck.
After a second or two, she realized how much of a waist of time her instinctual response was. She also realized that if she didn't so something, and lickety split, she'd be dead in mere seconds.
Doneeda fell to her knees, unable to stand, her vision starting to tunnel, when suddenly, to her right, she spotted what very likely would save her life.
A fire extinguisher.
Doneeda clenched her teeth, and using the last of her strength, got up and flopped over to the extinguisher.
Then, in one terribly choreographed and uncoordinated motion, swung as hard as she could at Var's head.

The heavy metal of the fire extinguisher impacted on Var's head with a horrifying sound, and the Twi'lek Sith fell to the ground. Blackness took her instantly, before she so much as had time to react.
She lay limply on the deck in a crumpled heap, a trickle of crimson blood marring her smooth creamy skin. It flowed down from the gash on her forehead along the length of her face, and it began to drip onto the floor, pooling in the textured print of the surface.
For a minute from her stillness and the strength of the blow, it must have seemed like she was dead. Only the short and shallow breaths she was taking were proof that she still lived.
She was pale enough normally, in an off-yellow color, but now she seemed positively ashen. She had a lifeless pallor that boded ill for her physical condition.

Donnie hit the floor at the same time as Var, her throat opening as she did so causing her to cough and gasp. The Twi'lek rolled onto her back, taking a moment to look around and spotting Var on the floor not far from where she was. Doneeda managed to get herself up on her backside and scoot herself over to the wall by pushing with her legs.
It was painful to breathe, Var had compressed her throat enough to make her whease whenever she took a breath. The young twi'lek closed her eyes and crossed her arms over her legs, still oblivious to Var's deteriorating state.
After a minute or two, her vision was back to normal. Donnie looked up and saw Var, face down on the floor in a heap, with a small pool of blood forming beside her head. The fire extinguisher was a short distance away, with a blood smear on the bottom. Doneeda's brain took longer than usual to put the situation together. She shook her head, trying to get her brain to get out of "stupid" mode.
While she was doing that, she realized ( finally ) that it was Var who was bleeding out on the floor. With Koeing out cold in his room, and Var currently looking a worse shade than she normally did, it dawned on Donnie It was her decision to save the other Twi'lek.
Donnie frowned.
I got lucky.
She admitted to herself, begrudgingly.
If that fire extinguisher hadn't been there, I'd be dead right about now...
Donnie continued in her head.
Inch or a mile though...winning's winning.
She continued, in her head, starting to get comfortable with letting Var meet whichever god she would in the afterlife. Then, suddenly, her better judgement kicked in.
If you let her die, you killed her.
She thought, realizing that this wasn't some kind of animal, however much she wanted to feel that way about the situation.
Can I live with that...
Donnie thought to herself, standing up, suddenly realizing what she'd done. She started playing with her left leeku and biting the nails on her right hand at the same time.
Oh goddessOh goddessOh goddessOh goddessOh goddess...
Donnie blathered in huttese while she gathered up herself and tried to figure out what to do, frozen.
Okay...she's bleeding...breathe Donnie...Calm down-
She said to herself, pacing nervously in a circle, catching site of a medkit with a red cross on it.
THE MEDICS!
She said out loud in huttese, running to the cockpit to call them.
--- 3 minutes, 36 seconds later ---
So your saying you were working on a conduit, when you dropped the fire extinguisher...on her head?
Uhhh...yah, das'a wha'appen.
The paramedic raised an eyebrow, and wrote something down on his clip board as var was stretchered and taken to the speeder ambulance.
Look, I really don't care what happened, but if it comes out that you had criminal intent with this girl, you'll be expelled from Murkhana, so we'll resume this conversation when she wakes up.
The tall, dark haired man said, picking up his paramedic bag and heading towards the speeder.
Oh, and don't leave the planet, we'll be in touch with you in a day or two with updates.
He said, before disapearing out the ships main hatch.

The medics had arrived promptly on the scene, rushing in mere minutes after the call arrived. They'd been on call just a few blocks away, holding position in the event of this sort of thing happening.
They'd shoved their way up onto the battered space vessel, ready to do whatever they needed to. Corporate world or not, the emergency response on Murkhana was excellent, and Jers Tono prided himself on being the fastest medic in the whole city.
Of course he wasn't fully buying the other Twi'lek's story about falling objects, something he might write into his incident report. Still, she had called it in. And if she hadn't... well, then the shorter Twi'lek's chances might have been not so good. As it was...
She'd need to get to the emergency room promptly, and there was always the potential for brain damage, but she seemed relatively stable. It would take a doctor to tell for certain how she'd do.
Jers pushed the stretcher down the ramp and into the waiting speeder, but he paused in the doorway briefly, offering a bit of information to the woman who called it in. javascript:add(" ") "Your friend will be in Central Hospital. Assuming there's no brain damage, she'll probably be awake tomorrow morning."
He bounded back down the ramp and hopped into the passenger seat. Real lookers those Twi'leks, both of them actually, not that the pale one was looking at her best. That was OK though, he liked the sand colored one better. If only his wife had a rack like that...

Doneeda's mind was fuzz for the next half hour or so. She paced around the cargo hold, went up to the galley and walked around the table 15 times, took a crap, had a cigarette, walked around the galley another 6 times, then finally found herself in the cockpit with her feet up.
It'd been an interesting day so far. She'd pissed off and survived two Sith, one who tried to kill her. Managed to go through an entire pack of cigarettes, and a pot of coffee.
Donnie also realized she'd probably killed Dov.
Should have asked if he had any pre-exsisting heart conditions.
She thought, cracking the first grin all day. Her mind drifted back to Var, though. Donnie had hit her with a fire extinguisher. Hard. She'd been in fights before, back on Corellia, but none this extreme.
It also donned on the young Twi'lek, that Koeing would be rather displeased with the current situation. Donnie couldn't really decide if he'd be pissed that she'd broke Var or that there was now a broken fire extinguisher and a rather large blood stain on the floor. Either way, the man would be in a right state when he awoke from whatever it was he was doing, and Doneeda wasn't about to try her luck for a fourth time that day.
The long-legged Twi'lek got out of the pilot's seat, and strode down to the kitchen, looking for a bottle of some form of non-alcoholic bevridge, figuring that drinking at this point wouldn't be the best idea. Whilst looking through the fridge, a blue flash caught her eye. She, naturally, looked over, and saw a small black communicator on the counter. With a Sith logo on it. She cocked an eyebrow, and closed the fridge, moving over and picking it up.
In one motion, she flipped it open, seeing it's banner that said " Sith FTW!". Donnie looked over her shoulder quickly, and popped open the text message app, realizing it was Koeing's device. Quickly, she went to the "information" section, ignoring the rest of the messages, and took down it's ID number, then added it to her comm unit under " Mr.Koeing " .
-- 38 minutes later --
Donnie strode into the Hospital, after enduring a cab ride with a particularly talkative Dug. He wouldn't shut up about how him and his family had recently gone to a rather famous amusement park on Courscant, setup by a movie company. The " Pirates of the Outer Rim " ride was his favorite, apparently.
She walked over to the front desk, and a slim, blonde woman wearing altogether too much makeup was there, chatting away on her comm with somebody she kept calling "sugarpuff".
Ay...Is 'ere da fin' Varulla.
She said to the woman.
Sarry hon, I diddn't unner stannn thaat.
She said, with an obvious drawl. Donnie had heard it from some of the spacers she knew. Wasn't sure which planet it was from, but was sure it was probably the most annoying thing to listen to. Ever.
Doneeda cleared her throat, and asked again.
Ayyeessss Needa fin' a Girl, Varulla
She said, gesturing to herself at the beginning, holding up one finger when she said "a" and gesturing to her chest when she said "girl".
Hah, ura cutie, I'll give'yah that, hon, but my name ain't Varulla, sweetie, it's Debbie.
Doneeda bit her tongue and took a breath while rolling her eyes. Yeah, and makeup kits aren't a single sized serving...
She thought to herself, taking a moment to calm down. It was obvious that she wasn't going to be able to break the language barrier with this woman, so she pulled out her communicator, scrolled to the contact she'd set for Var and showed the woman.
Er, Is lookan for er.
She said, pointing to the contact on her comm unit.
Ohh, why dinnit'cha just sayy so, dear, gimmie a sec here, sweetie, I'll letcha know where she's at in two shakes...
She said, fingers blazing across the keyboard.
Ok, Varulla is up in room 376, apparently the poor thing's still out cold, but if yah wanna go on up your welcome too.
Doneeda sighed in relief. The woman, while quite nice, wasn't the brightest. It wasn't a huge deal, but the waist of time and language barrier had gotten on her nerves.
Thankz...take'er easy-
Donnie said.
- AN IF SHE'S EASY, TAKE 'ER TWICE!
The secretary said, rather loudly, without skipping a beat. Doneeda couldn't help but chuckle, surprised at the statement.
-- 30 minutes, 4 wrong turns and 3 elevator rides later --
Doneeda finally found room 376. According to the hospital's listings there were no less than 4 different rooms called 376. One of them was a janitor's closet. Regardless, she was there, and peeked in through the window, seeing Var's feet poking out from below the blankets. It was good to know she wasn't on a slab, in the morgue, though Donnie didn't dare venture in.
In fact, she was surprised she'd made it this far. The young Twi'lek's instincts were to run, and now, here she was, standing outside of the door of the woman she'd just clubbed with an extinguisher.
Haaa...wow I'm a moron...I so should have stayed in school...
She thought to herself, texting Koeing's Communicator.
" Hay, I'm at the Hospital, with Var...had a bit of a mishap with her in the hall way, figured you'd want to know. Oh, and by the way, this is Donnie. " She sent to him.

Koeing's subconcious stirred as he felt a ripple in the force, something had happened to Varulla but his mind couldn't place it. The simplistic urge to help her however was the only thing that pulled him from his Force Rage induced coma, as he sat up and opened his eyes the pain of a headache washed over him and he gripped his head lightly.
"Feels like i got hit by a Bantha." He growled under his breath and stood up looking around, no one was in the immediate area so he reached out with his mind to find Varulla and Donnie, they were gone.
"What now?" He sighed and made his way to the galley where he found his com and noticed the message symbol, so he flipped it open and viewed the message.
" Hay, I'm at the Hospital, with Var...had a bit of a mishap with her in the hall way, figured you'd want to know. Oh, and by the way, this is Donnie. "
The pain in his head subsided as it was replaced by anger, he made his way back to his quarters and stripped off his street clothesI'll kill her. He thought to himself as he dressed in his robes, the hood began to annoy him so he found a knife and cut it from his robes. He finished lacing up his boots and pulled on his leather gloves, he clipped his lightsabers to his belt and with that he departed the ship in search of this hospital.
- - 20 minutes later - -
He strode in to the hospital and reached out through the force, feeling Varulla's presence he immediately made his way toward her. As he passed the front desk an annoying woman with a drawl called after him that he wasn't allowed to bring weapons in the building. Koeing stopped in his tracks, shifted on his heels and shot the woman a peircing glare with his crystaline green eyes as if to say she'd die if she spoke again.
Without missing a beat Koeing went for the stairs and began his ascent to Varulla's room. The woman at the front desk immediately called for security, which Koeing met as he exited the door to Varulla's floor.
"Move." They pulled their blasters on Koeing and called for him to surrender, with a flick of his wrists the security personel struck the walls on either side of him knocking them unconcious. He noticed Donnie's presence close by so he made his way to her quickly, he rounded the corner and his green eyes narrowed as he glared at her.
"What happened Doneeda, what did you do this time!" He yelled in his deep set voice and stepped toward her as if to rip her limb from limb.

Doneeda was sitting outside the room, in a chair provided by one of the nurses. She'd been playing a deceptively challenging brick drop game on her communicator when Koeing's voice boomed through the hallway.
He's mad. Wonderful.
Donnie though, clicking the lock button on her phone for what could possibly be the last time and standing up to face the miffed Sith.
Wha' di I do? 'Ow coul I do anydin'? Chez a Siff, Nuts-o wench try'da Keel me wida-
Donnie held out her hand like Var did during the force choke.
Wha'ever da' ess.
She paused for a second, letting it sink in.
Ay coul' breaf, che almoz keel me, zo, as da lassresort, well...
Doneeda stepped closer to Koeing that she felt comfortable doing, but it was so she could lower her voice. The hospital staff, though not immediatley present, could still be within earshot. That worried her, given what she was about to say next.
Ay 'eet 'er wida...
Donnie didn't know the Basic word for " Extinguisher", and just realized it as she was trying to articulate the situation to Koeing. His impatience with the language barrier was starting to show, he had a look of a man annoyed. Donnie knew the look well, she was used to it in the Republic. Nobody took the time to learn any of the other major languages, nor did they give her credit for trying so hard to learn theirs.
...Wida fire...puter-outer-ting, choo kno, yah pullda peen, den presda han-
She stopped when it became obvious Koeing got the picture.
'ook, Mistar Koeing, Sir, I realiz da I 'urt 'er, so I call-da doctorz and dey kome and brin' er 'ere.
Donnie stopped, looked around quickly while absent-mindidly stroking her right leeku with the matching hand.
Chee's hokay, body-like, bah dey donno if Var's steel gon' be Var wen chee wake up, cha kno...
Donnie stopped, realizing she'd been getting quieter as she spoke her last piece to Koeing. The Twi'lek suddenly realized she didn't want var to not come back as Var. The thought wasn't something that was easy to deal with, especially for somebody who'd never really had close attachments. Doneeda had no idea how to deal with how she was feeling, suddenly, as a wave of sadness hit her about what she could have just done to Var.
The worst part was the fact that if she didn't, Donnie would have been dead. The young twi'lek suddenly felt tears coming to her eyes...it'd been longer than she could remember since she'd cried, and she wasn't about to let Koeing nor anybody else see it.
Donnie balled up her left hand and put it in front of her mouth, and leaned in towards Koeing, narrowing the distance to less than a foot.
'ook...* sniffle * eef chee...* sniffle * eef chee innit Var...Aye wan' go quik...das'a all * sniffle * I as'in.
She said, before heading back for her chair, and sitting down heavily, pulling out her Comm so she could distract herself somehow.

Koeing sighed and shook his head, he couldn't believe he felt bad for the Twi'lek infront of him, but for some reason he did. After Donnie finished he moved over to her and knelt down, his right hand came up to brush the com away from infront of her face so he could actually see her.
His green eyes softened as he stared at her, despite all of her flaws she was still young and he could see just how scared she really is. "Listen to me Doneeda, i know you had no choice. As you said it's obvious i care for Varulla, she does mean a lot to me and that is why i become so furious. Don't worry about her not coming out as herself i'll make sure she does, i was a Healer when i was with the Jedi Order."
He placed his right hand gently on her knee and gave her the best smile he could manage, the poor girl looked like she was about to have a heart attack from shock alone. She must have just realized what she did. He thought whilst staring at her then nodded and stood, he moved toward the door to enter Varulla's room but stopped to look at Donnie one last time. "Don't worry, you'll have your friend back."
He smiled to her then strode in to the room and locked the door behind him, moving over to the edge of the bed he looked down at Varulla and a wave of sadness washed over him seeing her in such a state. He grabbed the medical chart and looked it over and saw the single word he dreaded Coma he thought to himself then looked over at Varulla. "Don't worry my dear, you shall return to me."
He pulled a chair over next to the bed and sat in it, closing his eyes Koeing reached deep in to the well of power he commands known as the force and let it flow out through his limbs. As he breathed the force seemed to flex in the air around him in rythem, he slowly delved in to Varulla's mind to pull at her subconcious to wake her.
At the same time Koeing reached in to her head through the force exploring the damage to her skull and brain, he found bruising on the frontal lobe along with fracturing to the skull. A sigh escaped his lips as he entered a meditative trance leaving his body behind and delving in to Varulla's being, melding his to hers as he pulled from his own source of life to begin melding the skull back together and slowly pull the damage away from the frontal lobe.
The draw back being he would have serious headaches and maybe even feinting spells, because he could find no other place to draw the damage to other than himself. Thankfully being a Firrerreo he has a higher rate of healing than most other species so his body began to rectify the sudden intrusion.
He pulled from Varulla very slowly making sure to untwine their life sources slowly as to not get them mixed up, which could cause many medical risks. His eyes opened and he instantly felt the pounding in his head and the fatigue in his body, he looked at the time and realized it took longer than he expected having taken several hours to rectify the damage to Varulla.
He leaned back in the chair and could only wait for her to wake and once again show him those beautiful green eyes that were now hidden.

Slowly Varulla’aba regained consciousness and found herself lying very still on something soft. Everything seemed to be a blur for the first few seconds, as she became aware it was quite bright, and that her head ached. Immediately she winced at the pain. But through the pain, her vision became clear, and she noticed she was looking at a ceiling.
She also felt naked. No, there was something there, but something soft and light rather than the snug heavy feeling of her black Echani armor. It was some kind of gown? The Twi’lek could feel the sensation of air on her feet. But how had she come to be here?
Her short term memory was flooding back now and providing the answers. Donnie. The pilot had betrayed her trust, stabbed her in the back and told Koeing her secret. She’d spilled the beans royally, telling the only person in the galaxy she cared about that she, Varulla’aba, the confident and fiery Sith, was merely a weak, damaged, victim. Someone unworthy to be a Sith, and someone too worthless to be interested in. She’d done more than just ruin her relationship to her master, she’d ruined her carefully constructed life. Var had attacked her. There’d been a fight. And she’d gotten the upper hand. The very last thing she remembered was holding the other Twi’lek in a force choke, strangling her with glee. How had she gotten from there to here? And where was here? Was she still even on Murkhana?
With an effort that made her head ache even worse, she tried raising her head. Her view changed from the ceiling as she looked around. She was in a room, and to her right was some type of medical machine she couldn’t quite recognize. It was beeping evenly, in tune with her own heartbeat. She was connected to it. The cream-colored Twi’lek turned to her left…
And sitting right there was Koeing.
The Twi’lek Initiate’s mournful green eyes started to moisten as her heart sank. Now there was no chance to escape quietly, to fade away and start over again. There was no escape for her, not from this. He knew. Her thoughts raced back to what he’d told her that morning, about overcoming her weakness and her feelings. That he’d kill her if she didn’t. if she remained weak. Now he knew just how weak and pathetic she truly was. Surely he wouldn’t suffer her existence now, he couldn’t suffer it. He was strong, powerful, confident. Everything she wasn’t. Her very existence must have been an insult for him. And the shame he must have felt at taking her as her apprentice…
She felt humiliated, and humiliated doubly so. Now he knew she was… damaged. And she hadn’t even been able to accomplish her goal of killing Donnie. All her weakness was laid bare, and she was once again the powerless little child she’d been two decades ago.
She’d failed. Once more she’d proven to be nothing but a failure. She couldn’t cut it as a Jedi, she’d failed as a Dark Jedi, and now she’d failed as a Sith. Only this would be her last failure. She’d proved everything he’d warned her of.
With that realization she tried to hold back the tears in her eyes. But they’d started to trickle down her cheeks as she made eye contact with Koeing. All her telepathic barriers were broken now. Her secrets were gone, and there was no point to hiding anything. She was broken. Damaged and broken. And she couldn’t hide it. Her façade had cracked. All that bluster and confidence was shattered and replaced with abject humiliation and weakness.
She tried to say something, to say anything. She wanted to apologize for it, to somehow make it right. But she choked on her words and fell silent. She was an open book to Koeing now, words didn’t matter. Everything was gone and leaked out, and every secret laid bare.
Var hung her head in shame, tears staining her pale cheeks.

His eyes opened as he heard Varulla stir, he only watched as she familiarized herself with the sudden change of surroundings which would be confusing for her. He met her eyes as she turned and instantly a deep pain struck his heart as she began to cry, he so wanted to reach out and comfort her but he knew the affection would be foreign to her and cause discomfort.
So he sat and watched until finally Varulla let go, her head hung and the tears streaked her beautiful pale skin. He couldn't hold back any longer so Koeing stood, and as he did felt a bit light headed from what he had done for Varulla. Stepping over to the bed he sat down next to her and wrapped his right arm around her back and waist to pull her closer, his left hand rose to gently stroke her left Lekku.
"Varulla...You are alright, i'm here with you and i refuse to go anywhere. I stand resolute in my choice to make you my apprentice, this just verifies what i believed all along. You are strong and capable, a lesser woman would have succumb to such terrible things, instead you continue to press on. You are stronger than even i could imagine to be."
He let his head rest gently against hers because he knew hers would still be in pain though he had fixed the damage only time can heal pain. So he just sat there with her allowing her to let the emotions go that she held in for so very long, he refused to leave her alone in this state.
He looked over to the locked door and thought of letting Donnie in to see Varulla but realized it would be best to wait for that reunion. He knew he had to repair things somehow between them so he whispered gently to Varulla. "You should forgive Doneeda, she was simply trying to help me understand. I'm glad she did Varulla because i may have never known the true you, no matter what you've been through or will go through i will stand by you."

Var broke eye contact and stared down at her hospital gown instead, feeling the silent tears streaking down her face. She'd learned to cry quietly as a little girl. Her owner had hated the noise, and he'd beat her all the harder for it. So it had become second nature for her to cry in absolute silence, the way she was now.
She felt Koeing touch her waist, and then her lekku. She didn't mind the touch, though she was half-convinced it was the harbinger of death. It was going to be a bittersweet moment, one that felt sweet but wouldn't end well. She knew too well the penalty for failure amongst servants of the Dark Side...
Var blinked. Her hearing must have been deceiving her. How could he still stand by her after that? How could she possibly be stronger than he was? Little Varulla who'd been unable to even prevent her own body from being violated. Little Varulla who'd cowered in fear, trembling.
She wasn't even strong enough to kill one lone non-Force-sensitive woman. She was weak where he was strong. What he was saying couldn't...
But it was. She looked into his green eyes and saw nothing but truth, and... something more?
His head rested against hers, and for the very first time she did something audacious. Her slender fingers reached up his cheek, and brushed gently across it.
"You should forgive Doneeda, she was simply trying to help me understand. I'm glad she did Varulla because i may have never known the true you, no matter what you've been through or will go through i will stand by you."
She should forgive Doneeda? But- That was so foreign. They were Sith, they didn't just forgive. There was revenge to be considered only- Donnie was her friend. They'd had their falling out, but it didn't change anything. The other Twi'lek was the only friend Var had ever had. And she'd tried to kill her.
Var nodded her assent. Donnie was forgiven, in fact maybe she was to be thanked.
She never would have told her master herself, but now while knowing he didn't mind. He looked on her without the grimace of revulsion or the fury of betrayal that she'd expected and feared. He looked on her with tenderness, the kind of emotion she'd also longed for in his eyes...
She could tell him anything. Nothing was left to hide any more since he'd seen the inside of her soul. There was only one last thing she could confess, no, had to confess.
Var closed her eyes, rallying the strength she needed to say those three simple words she'd been nurturing and spurning in turns. When she was convinced she could say them, she opened her eyes again and gazed tenderly up at Koeing.
"I love you," she whispered softly.

While resting his head against hers Varulla became daring and he felt the light brush of her fingers against his cheek which sent a shiver down through his core, a longing for more than just a breif touch but to hold her close forever more. He couldn't believe the thoughts running through his head threatening to explode, to confess to Varulla he loves her and wishes to spend the remainder of his life engrossed in her.
He noted the struggle Varulla seemed to have with forgiving Donnie so he figured he would give her a lesson in the Dark side, something he had thought on for a very long time and come to terms with. "My dear, to embrace the Dark Side is not just giving in to pain, hate and anger. It is giving in to your passions, all of your emotions letting go of the restrictions the Jedi so rigourously place. You must embrace Love, kindness and happiness just as much as your darker emotions, to deny those emotions is to deny who you are at the very fabric of your being."
Var closed her eyes, rallying the strength she needed to say those three simple words she'd been nurturing and spurning in turns. When she was convinced she could say them, she opened her eyes again and gazed tenderly up at Koeing.
"I love you," she whispered softly.
At that Koeing could no longer control the emotions hidden within, his eyes softened and slowly tears began to stain his silvery skin which began to slowly turn golden, the first time in nearly two decades he was as happy as he had been whilst a Jedi travelling with Reiishia and Caeser.
Rational thought left him as his instincts took over, he wished to convey that he loves her back but refused to with simple words. Slowly he shifted his body to position himself so he could lean down and gently touch his lips to Varulla's, they were slightly salty from the tears but were soft against his as if he were kissing a cloud.

Var trembled at the touch of her master's lips to her own, but her eyes closed and she melted into him completely. They stopped being two people, and for a moment they seemed to be one, merely extensions of each other. She could feel the heat of his breath, the firmness of his lips. Her pale hands reached up and held the sides of his face.
In twenty-six years, Varulla'aba had never been kissed. Until now. She'd simply never found the right person to share it with before, she'd never felt this love. It was... Pure. It was purer than anything she'd ever known, purer than her soul could be. Purer than she was.
It was more than she'd ever hoped for having.
The moment seemed to linger on into infinity, and it was as if time stopped. Nothing existed but them. Not the hospital, not Murkahan. Not the Republic, and not the Empire. Not the Sith, not the Jedi. Only Varulla and Koeing. Nothing else even mattered, not now that they'd found each other.
For the very first time in her life, Var was genuinely happy.
This was love. And she knew it now, she knew she never wanted to be with anyone else in her entire life. Only him. She wanted to grow old with him, and be held in his arms. And it was pure bliss to know from his actions that he felt the same. What they had was special. Whether it was fate, destiny, or the Force; they were meant to be with each other. She knew it. She'd been waiting all her life for this one moment.
At long last she pulled away from him for breath, and opened her eyes again. And she gasped. He looked dramatically different. His silvery skin had turned a beautiful gold shade she'd never seen before. And he looked happy, just as happy as she must have looked.
"Your skin..." She reached up and stroked it, as if the texture had somehow changed with the color. It hadn't. "It changed."

His eyes opened slowly as he withdrew from the kiss, Varulla's sudden gasp and reaction startled him until he realized what she was shocked at, he looked down and saw the pigment of his skin, all he could do was stare. He hadn't seen this since he was twenty six years old, the age Varulla is now and the sudden change scared him and reminded him of his days with the Jedi.
"Your skin..." She reached up and stroked it, as if the texture had somehow changed with the color. It hadn't. "It changed."
"It has not been this color for nearly twenty years Varulla...When a Firrerreo experiences great pain or duress their skin has a chance to become silver from the stress, mine has been silver for so long i didn't think the hate within could be tempered." His crystaline eyes met hers and he smiled, however the moment of pure bliss ended and slowly the pigment of his skin shifted and began it's change back to silver. No matter how happy Varulla made him the hate that lives within him will not be sated until the Jedi are dead at his feet, he sighed and mourned the loss of pigment then shook his head.
"I love you Varulla'aba and i shall forever more." He blinked away the final tears and stood slowly, his body protested the distance between him and Varulla but it had to be done. Reality came rushing back and they needed to find a way out of the hospital and now, he had barged in here and soon the local police would be there.
He looked toward the door and remembered Donnie, quickly he headed over and unlocked it throwing the door open he nodded and smiled to the Twi'lek waiting in her chair. "Varulla is fine Donnie, you can see her if you wish. However we need a way out now, once you've had your little reunion i must ask you get to the ship and pick us up on the roof, like hell if i'm allowing her to run about the streets in nothing but a gown."
He stared at Donnie conveying that he was dead serious about this and would accept nothing else, after she understood he moved to the side and allowed Donnie in then shut the door and locked it. "Varulla my dear don't kill her too dead." He laughed softly, a genuine laugh clean of malice.

Donnie had been passed out in a contortionist style ball on the chair before she'd heard it "click". Normally, that wouldn't be enough to wake her up, but given the current events thus far in the day, she was somewhat on edge.
Doneeda looked over at Koeing, and nodded her understanding. Ship. Roof. Etc. Check, she made a mental inventory of what she'd have to do to actually fly the ship onto the roof...and silently wondered if she'd need some kind of clearance.
After a few moments of talking, Koeing waved her into the room, Donnie got up, uneasily, and motored into the room, hearing the door click shut behind her. Immediatley, before she even laid eyes on Var, she could tell a few things.
Firstly, Var was var, as Donnie was still with the land of the living, and Secondly, she was in better shape than Doneeda thought, as Koeing was already discussing exit strategies.
It was the latter that made her nervous. The last time Doneeda had seen Var she'd tried to kill her. If she was in well enough shape to move, then it was entirely possible that she was well enough to Force Choke or use a saber.
Either Var and Koeing had laid an elaborate trap, or Koeing genuinely wanted Doneeda to talk to Var. The young twi'lek wasn't entirely sure which, but knew that since she'd hit the girl with a fire extinguisher there were bound to be questions that deserved answering.
Doneeda stopped at the foot of Var's bed and took note of the bandage on the girl's head.
Uh...Hi.
Donnie offered in Huttese.
So...I kinda hit you with a fire extinguisher...a little...
Donnie said, still not meeting Var's eyes and playing with her right leeku with the matching hand. In fact, by this point she'd taken an interest in the rather dreary view out the window.
I'm sorry about that, and about, y'know, telling Koeing all the stuff.
Doneeda realized she was rambling at this point and stopped, finally turning in Var's direction, trying to be interested in the various machines that were going "ping" in the background.

Var listened as Koeing professed his love, and her often icy heart melted again. She loved him too, more than anything else.
"Varulla my dear don't kill her too dead."
She smiled thinly. No, she had no intention of that. In fact, she was the one who owed an apology to Donnie, not the other way around. That was something she'd have to make abundantly clear.
Still, it was good to hear her master, no, her love, laugh like that. It was a side to him she was only just now discovering. A side she wanted to see more of and learn more about.
When he moved away from her and waved Donnie over, Var blushed a little. Her cheeks took on a more yellow tint, and she stared awkwardly at her feet.
Uh...Hi. So...I kinda hit you with a fire extinguisher...a little...
Var winced. That explained an awful lot. Like how she'd come to be in the hospital in a paper-thin gown. It must have done something very bad to her head indeed, which completely explained the way she was feeling physically.
But if she was feeling bad physically, she was rejoicing mentally. This was the happiest day she'd had since turning six and being rescued to join the Jedi. And she owed all that to Donnie.
I'm sorry about that, and about, y'know, telling Koeing all the stuff.
Var shook her head slowly from side to side as she stared affectionately up at Doneeda, an uncharacteristic smile etched on her face.
"No Donnie," Var replied, also in Huttese. "I'm the one who owes you an apology. I shouldn't have tried to hurt you. All you were doing was trying to help me. I thought you were destroying my life, but you were saving it. Koeing knows now. And he doesn't hate me. We- we love each other. And I never would have known if it wasn't for you. I owe you Donnie. I owe you."
Var found her eyes were misty again, this time from sheer happiness. She dabbed at them with the back of her hand. Belatedly she realized she wasn't living up to her tough girl attitude.
She did her best to sit up, swinging her legs over the side of the hospital bed and letting her toes rest on the cool floor. As she literally sat up, her head seemed to intensify its aching and she rubbed her bandaged temple. She laid back down again and stared at the ceiling.
"I think I'm going to need a bit more help here."

Doneeda wasn't sure she was talking to the same person. It was odd, she fully expected Var to be angry, but instead she was thanking her. The younger Twi'lek listened and realized that Var and Koeing wouldn't have been able to connect if she'd not intervened.
Then Var tried to get up. It didn't look to be going so well.
Donnie motored over and popped a squat in the chair beside her.
Why don'tcha just hang out there for a minute.
Doneeda said, trying to piece together where to go.
Abruptly, she got up, and peeked out the door window, not seeing Koeing. She turned around, grinning like an idiot.
So you guys are like...together now?
Donnie said, bouncing somewhat as she walked back over to the chair. The younger Twi'lek was legitimately excited for Var. She was 26 and hadn't ever done anything with somebody she liked. For Doneeda, this was, oddly enough, exciting.
So...Tell me what happened...c'mon
Donnie nagged, nudging var's side gently.

Why don'tcha just hang out there for a minute.
Var nodded. That was the way it was going to go. She wasn't about to get up and walk around without some serious help. Apparently the movies were wrong and you couldn't just get up from blunt force trauma and function normally again. Pity, she could have used one of those miraculous recoveries.
Then again, the fact she was still alive and aware was miraculous enough. She literally could have died. Of course none of that would have happened if she hadn't put Donnie in such a rough position. She couldn't fault the other woman at all.
Var raised her legs and swung them back up onto the bed, tilting her head to watch Doneeda again.
So you guys are like...together now?
Var smiled, genuinely and warmly. It was the sort of smile she hadn't known she'd been capable of, the sort of smile that nothing could ever kill. All it had needed was the right conditions to blossom like an exotic flower.
She nodded as a response. They were together now. It was something that she had every belief would continue to captivate her mind. Finally something good had happened to Var. And it was long overdue.
So...Tell me what happened...c'mon
"Well," Var began, "I woke up and he was right there by my side. He knew everything, well everything but that, so I decided he had a right to know. I told him I loved him, and we kissed."
The very memory of her first kiss was electric. She'd carry that until the day she died, and proudly. And hopefully that day would come many, many years later, and be filled with many more kisses and warm embraces.
"He told me he loved me too. And I think now that I've loved him since the first day I met him."

Doneeda found herself grinning, It was good to hear Var not angry or being...what she'd come to see as "Var-ish". The conversation was also going into a realm Donnie had no knowledge of.
The four letter "L" word Var had just uttered was usually a trigger for her to turn tail and run. Even it's easier to deal with cousin, like, tended to make her a little edgy. Hearing about it from Var was something she didn't even want, Doneeda was more concerned with if Var was happy or not. Apparently she was.
The younger twi'lek realized her eyes were wide and her mouth was agape, more so that Var had just admitted that she loved Koeing.
Y'know, I really never expected you to say that...Or any of this, actually.
Doneeda paused, finally getting her bearings with the situation.
So your saying, that my telling Koeing then whacking you in the head with a fire extinguisher was a good thing?
Doneeda finished, trying to make sure she understood what was actually going on.

Y'know, I really never expected you to say that...Or any of this, actually.
"Neither did I," Var said honestly. She never had expected to share those words. Not with Donnie, and definitely not with Koeing. But she had, and she was better for it.
She'd told Donnie because, well, because she was half responsible for it. And she deserved to know? Was that it? Or was Var just so giddy from the new sensation in her heart that she had to share it with someone?
Well if she did, Donnie was a good person to share with. She already knew far more about Var than she'd ever have shared while sober, and she'd showed discretion by telling that to Koeing rather than Dov or Sion. And contrary to Var's conviction, that hadn't been disastrous. it had been very beneficial. Very beneficial indeed.
So your saying, that my telling Koeing then whacking you in the head with a fire extinguisher was a good thing?
Var's head bobbed as she nodded.
"Well, yes. In a way. I- I uh, understand why you did it. But you were right for telling him."
Var ran a hand over her lekku as she took a deep breath, not one of exasperation or as an attempt to be patient, but one of relief. It was as if a massive weight was lifted off her shoulders really.
"It- I just feel free now. I was so convinced no one could ever love me or respect me when I was so weak. I see I was wrong now. I never would have known if you hadn't told Koeing."
Var sat up again, this time slowly, and she stayed up, even though her head was spinning and pounding madly. Her hands reached up to cradle it, and she bowed a little. But she remained vertical this time.
"Donnie," Var said through her wincing. "If you can forgive me, I want to be your friend again."
