The "Abesh," whose name means "East" in Mando'a, after the location of factories making the weapons, is an impressively destructive weapon, even by Mandalorian standards.
It fires brilliant yellow particle beams at 800 rounds per minute, and each beam explodes as it strikes a solid target. The results anything but pretty, and their effect on soft targets have been deemed "grisly, but effective" by experts in the field of weaponry. One of the chief designers summed up his weapon in a few short words. "Little gun, big bang."
Mercifully for enemies of the Mandalorians, these weapons are rarely encountered due to the expense they require to operate. They run through powerpacks quite rapidly, and they are one of the more delicate weapons in the Mandalorian arsenal.
