Too easy, too easy.
Nieraan watched the Jedi in secrecy, from his hidden perch atop a building far away from the landing pad. "Run along, little Jedi. No more work to do here..."
He smiled wickedly.
The past few weeks had almost been like a game for the young Firrerreo--a cerebral exercise very much unlike any he'd been through in quite a long while. Though Nieraan would hardly describe himself as 'cerebral,' often preferring to get work done directly through his own hands instead of plans or plotting, he couldn't deny that there'd been a certain thrill to watching and counteracting the Jedi.
Everything started a few weeks ago. The Lords had sent him to Gyndine, to work with a small pro-Sith terrorist cell that had plans to strike against the Republic-friendly government. The strikes would take time and care to orchestrate, but Nieraan's presence alone was a sign that the Sith knew, and they were interested in what this group had to offer.
Then the Jedi arrived.
They'd had to change things up once the Jedi got onworld. Adjustments were made to their plans, their operations were moved to a different location, and contingencies were constructed. Most importantly, they'd created a fall-guy to keep the Jedi occupied. The ease of it was that the target was an existing criminal: a nefarious murderer who'd been carrying out bombings and killings of his own. All they had to do was silently reveal evidence along the way for the Jedi's investigation, and he never came close to sniffing them.
"Now everything's in place," he crowed quietly, smirking through the dark at the grainy camera feed that showed on the datapad in his hand. The rain pattered softly on the hood of his jacket and the wind threatened to pull it down, but he didn't care. The climax of all of the work and waiting was finally at hand.
Tonight would be far, far too exciting to let a bit of rain get in the way.
"Telzen," he said into his comm, speaking through a scrambled, heavily encrypted channel, "how much time?"
Soft static answered for a moment, and then a voice. "Fifty-eight seconds."
Nieraan's lopsided grin exposed a sharp canine. "Excellent. Stay on guard. Things are about to heat up."
"Trust me. I know."
With a self-satisfied chuckle, Nieraan changed the channel on his comm. Now he'd contact the Jedi directly. He could let him go, but that wouldn't do. Tonight would be dramatic, and nothing would further the Sith's goals more than the people knowing that not even the Jedi could stop them.
He drew deeply on the Force and pushed his presence out. It would be hard to tell where he was, nearly impossible to get a direct location with as far away from the Jedi that he was, but it would be enough to alert the Jedi to his presence, which he'd been hiding carefully.
"Leaving so soon?" he asked into the comm. His voice was smooth and calm. Relaxed, but there was a note of menace in it. "Don't go now, Jedi..."
An explosion lit up the night. A few miles away, several fuel containers at a power facility went up in flames. The sound crashed into them, delayed by the distance.
That was the first phase of their plans. There was much, much that they'd accomplish before the night was over. Nieraan retracted his presence again. He wanted the Jedi to find him, but it wouldn't be that easy; he'd have to work a bit before they crossed blades.
"The night's just getting started."

The feeling of uneasiness, the creeping darkness on the planet was without a doubt expanding. What was this unbalance in the force? This was sure to keep Klon on this world… He couldn’t bare the feeling of the darkside. On guard and calmly waited for the officers to jump into their hound vehicle, yet suddenly a com-link call found its way though, forcing the Kiffar master to answer. The moment he picked up the com he was comforted by a voice that seemed to carry a darkness in it’s self…
Shortly after the little greeting a explosion would shock all within the area…Klon would allow the unknown to speak. His response caused Klon to sigh with regret as he was forced to ask the officers for a ride back. Ignoring the Sith for a short while Klon said ” Who are you? That was much uncalled for you know… Somebody may have been hurt… How about you simply come to me and we could talk this out?” He jumped into the hound with the two guards as they made it to the sight of the explosion.
Klon could simply check the area, but was having difficulty with this idea. Pulling for his com-link Klon spoke once more saying ” Why did you fall into the darkness? Such distruction.Whats the point... Was it all to get my attension?” Said the jedi in a calm relaxed voice. All of this would have to be delt with, and he couldn’t just leave…, “Tell me, dark one… why must you hide to accomplish your goals, talking should be a option correct?” There Klon hoped to find something of use working carefully with law enforcement he investigated the fire, waiting for the 5ith to speak again and maybe it could make sneaking away much less likely
(OOC:LOL sorry for the bad post, a bit drained after work and this is the best my mind would do right now lol)

{I haven't written srsly for like a week and a half >_> so a little rusty}
There was a certain satisfaction to be had in watching the night's opening act. The explosion's dying fireball darkened and dimmed, drifting slowly skyward.
”Who are you? That was much uncalled for you know… Somebody may have been hurt… How about you simply come to me and we could talk this out?”
There was, perhaps, even greater satisfaction in hearing the Jedi's frenzied voice streaming through the comm. Nieraan smirked again as he watched the Jedi turn from his ship so some guards could ferry him off to the site of the explosion. "Yes, best take care of that fire, friends," he wryly muttered to himself, "wouldn't want the power going out, would we?"
Already, lights in a distant borough were beginning to flicker and fail. The damage would be contained and directed--for this stage of their plans at least. The threat of an inferno at a power plant was still very real, though, as was the danger of it leaping beyond the complex's walls...
Not my problem, Nieraan thought with malevolent amusement. He tucked the datapad into a pocket and hopped down from the roof. He landed smoothly in the alley behind the building, despite the rain-slick streets.
” Why did you fall into the darkness? Such distruction.Whats the point... Was it all to get my attension? Tell me, dark one… why must you hide to accomplish your goals, talking should be a option correct?”
Ah, he's calmer now.
Nieraan melted into the night's shadows, avoiding crowds as he worked his way to a rendezvous point. "Talking is always an option, Jedi. You can talk all you want, if it makes you feel good." A stray shaft of light from a streetlamp was briefly caught in his eyes as he passed by. They glinted yellow in the dim night. "I'd worry about doing your job, if I was you, though. But don't worry..." Nieraan chuckled lowly. "I'll come find you soon enough."
Nieraan killed the comm again and picked up his pace. Two of the terrorists were supposed to meet him near an old warehouse. From there the next stage of their plan would begin to unfold. What remained to be seen was how the Jedi would affect things.

Klon watched the guards and emergency crews work with the fire. Things looked as if they were going well so Klon's thoughts went to preventing more dangerous attacks like this. He had to deal with the dark jedi as soon as possible so he had gone back to his com as the dark being spoke. Klon could only sigh and say into the com-link "Well, my job... I am doing it. My job is to protect the people, that is what I plan to do, as well as protect you. I will bring you from the darkness, as a Jedi saving you from the path of self destruction is also my job."
He killed the link as swiftly as he had activated it, he had things to take care of and that was clear. Calling over to the City guards Klon now finds himself taking command positions. "We need to deal with this threat right now, understand? Everybody living in this city is a worker in the industrial areas correct? I need you to send out a alert right now. Tell the civilians to all stay inside, as anybody found in the streets will be classed as suspect and taken in. Go!"
The Guards before him moved swiftly to do what was asked of them so Klon called one other group of Guards " I want Police droids searching the streets, and every major land mark or important location in the city carefully searched for bombs and under 24 hour guard." Sending out this unit Klon would walk over to the two Guards he came with and says "You two will stay with me, I will need two more cars coming along, a total of 8 of you should do."
"I have a bad feeling this could become a war zone.We need to be ready for this character, it seems as if the attack took some planning... I also need somebody sent to interrogate that first terrorist... He may have something to tell use. For safety measures put a droid sniper on each roof top around this place understood?" Klon gave his orders and do to his position as a jedi master he was not questioned, it was after all war time. Could it be Gydine has become a target for Sith capture. That could prove a damaging blow to the republic as a whole.
After some deep thinking a eye in the sky could prove helpful. So in order to track those trash trouble makers Klon would call over a guard to bark his final order for the moment " I want at least four eyes up high, set up four over watches to check the streets. I know the city is covered in cameras. So I want ten people watching the live cams and ten going over video from the last 36 hours... Move out! I will take guards to the center district to search there..."
Klon had all that he asked for within thirty minutes and he along with 9 guards was on the streets in hounds and Klon leading the pack on a speeder bike. "We could still do this the easy way dark one... You can give yourself up, the jedi and republic are more forgiving then you may think." Says the noble jedi over the Communicator before once more killing contact. He was almost at the cities core, so he had only to track down the bombers.

Thirty minutes was a long time.
While the Jedi went about trying to marshall the local police and set up security measures to keep the city in check, the terrorists' plan continued to unfold.
Nieraan observed the unfolding chaos with a sick satisfaction.
A flair for the dramatic they might have had, but the terrorists were not fools. They were the vanguard of change on Gyndine; quiet whispers of change and rebellion already rode the lips of some of Gyndine's citizens. The government was unpopular, but no one had yet to do so much as lift a finger to change it. There were rumors of some underground group forming--the Movement, or something like that--but until someone led the way, they were content to sit on their hands and do nothing.
Tonight, that changed. The winds of change were going to blow on Gyndine, one way or another.
While the security forces of the city turned their attention toward the city center, the next phase of attack began to play out. Everything had already been set up; they knew security would crack down once the first explosion went by, and planned for it.
A second team had set up on the city's edge, near the residence of a wealthy shipwright. He was corrupt, as many of Gyndine's wealthy were. But more importantly--especially in Nieraan's eyes--he was a staunch supporter of the Republic.
Tonight, he was having a party. Speeders were lined around his residence while the shipwright and his guests inside danced the night away. One of the speeders--a large, stolen model that was fashionable, if beginning to age--had a frame packed with high explosives and a timer.
At exactly 22:32:45, the speeder exploded.
The ensuring explosion tore off the front of the shipwright's expansive mansion. Without support, the center of the building collapsed in on itself. Windows in the surrounding buildings shattered from the blast. Great tongues of angry flame spewed black smoke into the dark skies.
The operatives, working a few blocks away, faded into the sea of panicked people as the explosions sounded.
The shipwright died quickly. The fires burned his flesh from bones.
Meanwhile, other facets of the plan blew into motion. A plant in the city's industrial sector that processed mechanical parts that ultimately went on to the Republic suffered accident that ruined a loading crane and would leave it inoperable for days. Another blast tore through a small marketplace.
But not every step succeeded. One bomb detonated prematurely, killing three operatives. Another two failed to escape the zone surrounding their set up. One was killed by shrapnel. The other was crushed beneath a speeder sent flying by the concussion.
But in spite of the failures, Nieraan was pleased. While the city scrambled to get off its heels, his group wreaked havoc. At the rate the Jedi moved, everything would be done before he was even out and trying to stop them.
From the rendezvous, he and his few companions moved to another part of the city. They hadn't been near the center to begin with, and now they were further out, keeping up with the events through private means and through the news.
"Looks like they're seetin' up snipers on roofs," one of them, who was using a signal scanner said to Nieraan.
Nieraan glanced across the room from the news report he'd been watching and shrugged. "Good thing we're inside."
"They don't have many of 'em anyway," a Twi'lek said. "Can put 'em in important areas, likely downtown. They'll be sparse."
Nieraan nodded, but wasn't paying them much mind. The next phase would begin soon, and it was the one he looked forward to. Few things were so beautiful as a beautiful lie; fewer things were as sweet as taking victory from a larger, more numerous foe.
He put a hand to his pocket as he felt his comm buzz. "We could still do this the easy way dark one... You can give yourself up, the Jedi and republic are more forgiving then you may think."
Nieraan laughed openly. "From where I see things, you don't have anything to offer me, Jedi. You and your Republic have been as competent as ever, tonight."
He chuckled into the comm and sat down on a table, one leg dangling lazily over the edge. "Shame it's so cloudy and raining so hard tonight though, don't you think? I was hoping I'd be able to see the shipyards tonight. Before I come find you, answer a question for me."
A toothy grin split his lips. His canines showed dangerously. "Do you think you'll be able to see the fire through the clouds when the shipyards go up?"
He laughed, and the link went silent.
Nothing so beautiful...

The Republic worked slowly, very slowly in fact. This was proven when Klon was forced to wait for his orders to be approved, a group as large and organized as the Republic did require a significant amount of paper work and approval from government. Klon was a Jedi master but this was not the war Battle front so at this time he was not a general. Plus he would rather not take control of a war effort anyway, too much destruction and conflict. Klon and his unit made it to the middle of the city when he asked the Sith the question and the Sith answered back.
The sun should be rising in a few hours but the rain had yet to stop. The echo of a rain storm rung in the Kiffar Master’s ears as the Dark Character spoke though the communicator once more. "Shame it's so cloudy and raining so hard tonight though, don't you think? I was hoping I'd be able to see the shipyards tonight. Before I come find you, answer a question for me." Klon stayed silent as he knew nothing could likely shut up the Dark Jedi anyway, nothing but a missing limb or two of course. So Klon’s respond was a Hallow sigh, nothing is more upsetting than a darksider unwilling to repent. There is always room for change and the darkside always put its followers in foolish positions.
"Do you think you'll be able to see the fire through the clouds when the shipyards go up?" The last words before laughter and silence, only the rain could be heard at this point, and the constant pitter-patter was very unsettling. This day felt very much like a bad omen, and the purification of this omen had fallen on Klon’s shoulders. As the squad rushed through the streets completing the search of the cities empty core, moving closer to the edges when Klon finally got a call.
“Master Jedi, we picked up on a total of three more explosions, The closest to your location is in the market and one at the home of a wealthy man. Lucky for use we now know there general location do to the street camera’s. At this point they are the only people in the streets so we can find them this time. I will send you and your units the details sir!”
Klon was ever happier that he got such good news, the job was almost completed. ”Okay, thanks for the support! SO I would like a single over watch scanning each location, Keep a close eye on everything! I also want you to evacuate everybody in the Ship yards and luck them down for the night!” So soon after Klon and his forces was near the edge of the city the Guards droids got ready. They simply searched all things in the outside area before calling the com “Come out side to make this little conflict go away dark one.[/b]

"Just come out and make it end?" Nieraan snorted airily into his comm, shaking his head gently as he did. "Jedi, you're disappointing me."
The Firrerreo stood up from where he'd been sitting on the edge of a table and began to pace at the back of the room. A few steps one way, then back the way he'd come. Nieraan moved with a predatory grace, but there was a certain tension to his every move. He wanted to find the Jedi. He wanted to fight him, and he wanted to beat him. It'd been far too long since Nieraan had had a good fight; he just hoped the Jedi could keep up.
But the hour wasn't yet right. Besides, good things came to those who waited.
"You're not very convincing, my friend. I'm supposed to just drop what I'm doing and come to you? At your own request?" Even though the Jedi couldn't see him, Nieraan grinned wryly. He stopped near a counter and leaned with a forearm propped lazily against it. "That's not how I work, Jedi. I'll find you when I want to. Not before."
The channel for his comm switched while he spoke; it was a precautionary measure one of their tech men had worked into some of their devices along with their encryption to make tracking more difficult.
"Besides," he paused to look at one of the small projections they had that was showing the ongoing news coverage of the aftermath's attacks. The finale was drawing ever nearer. Time to push his plan a little further along and see how much he could make the Jedi bite. "Shouldn't you be turning your attention elsewhere?"

Klon could only sigh, this darksider was really making more trouble than needed, his actions were clearly unnecessary... Assault after assault, to bombing after bombing, this conflict was rather shocking. This man was likely no normal darksider, this all radiated with the stench of the Sith scourge. Everybody who was by his side where more than ready to meet conflict with conflict. Although the Kiffar master only hoped things wouldn't come to that end, if only the Sith was willing to back off, leave this realm in silence if possible.
"You're not very convincing, my friend. I'm supposed to just drop what I'm doing and come to you? At your own request?" "That's not how I work, Jedi. I'll find you when I want to. Not before." "Besides" "Shouldn't you be turning your attention elsewhere?"
Klon allowed the man to speak without interference as he maintained momentum on his speeder. He was nearing the area of those who had blown away that building full of rich republic followers. " Whatever do you mean? Attention elsewhere? Your my primary focus as of now, most important person to me, at least today. You just may be making trouble, but it is my job to end it Sith..."
Klon hung up the com and suddenly got a call on his military comlink. Taking a call from a high ranking officer the Jedi Master was left in shock at the conversation that was being forced on him. The bombers who caused the destruction of the shipwright's house where hiding out in a largely unoccupied location in town and the area was to large to sweep. The man on the com said " Jedi Master, thanks for the help but I need you to pull your men back. I will clear out the area and I am also assuming you understand that the leader may be their. So no chances, we end this now!"
Before Klon could effectively say anything to counter the offer. The Jedi could feel danger from a mile away, and the stealth bombers was not nearly that far away. They were in sight and ever so suddenly Klon and his men ran. The stealth bombers carpet bombed the location.
"As you may know, your running the risk of death, I don't know if you know what happened, but if you don't, update! Find one. Come faces me like a man, if you value the lives of your friends that is.... traveling more so though the City Klon reacts with a golp as he could only hope things would fall in her favor.
