Name: Emmira “Emma” Lott
Race: Human, very slight Theelin Ancestry.
Age: 20
Height: 5’6’’
Weight: 119 lbs
Appearance:
Birth place: Corellia
Profession: Smuggler/Adventurer/Spacer
Bio: When asked about her own past, Emmira tends to change the subject, excuse herself from the room, or flat-out refuse to answer. Indeed, she has every reason to, as her past is her own, however much she may not want it.
Emmira was born in a hangar on Corellia some twenty years ago to Ada Lott, an ex-dancer who worked in the hangar in the cantina below serving drinks. Neither one ever knew who her father was, though it would not have been so hard to find out who he was. Growing up loading and unloading various different shipments of cargo, mostly from smugglers, Emmira probably bumped into her own father, a merchant/smuggler by the name of Franco Arrek, who frequented the inexpensive hangar. Franco was a rather loose man, as he still is today, spending any profit he makes on games of paazak, night’s entertainment, and lots and lots of alcohol. As a matter of fact, Franco Arrek is fully aware that he has a child, and that the child was with Ada, though he is not entirely certain that it is Emmira, as he has never had further contact with Ada. Indeed, hers is the only bar in the galaxy he avoids regularly.
Though, unless one knew for certain that Emmira had grown up without a father, they would assume she was very close to her father, as she certainly seems like the kind of girl who grew up learning everything from some sort of father figure; which could actually be construed as true, seeing as how she spent most of her life working with, talking with, and dealing with the thousands of different smugglers and merchants, mostly men, who came through the small Hangar she called home.
Two such man in particular would come to change Emmira’s life forever. The first was the owner of the Hangar, Cantina, and shop in which Emmira lived and worked, a disgusting man by the name of Rekku Pannett. Pannett was perhaps more ingrained in the underground of Corellia than the crime lords he worked for. Over the years from Emmira’s birth, Pannett began to change the cantina’s entertainment areas into something far more wretched. This included a very small ring of prostitution and “gentlemen’s” rooms. Most of the decent staff members just ignored this particular aspect of the hangar, including Emmira, until she was asked to sign a contract for employment in these new services offered by Pannett. She was fifteen years old at the time. Though she denied the offer profusely, she found that life became increasingly more difficult for her from that moment on. Hours extended, wages dropped, conditions were intolerable. But, since she had no way out, she was trapped.
A second man, however, would come along who would make things considerably better for her. Three years ago, an apprenctice to a merchant of Emmira’s age landed in the hangar by the name of Handen Dupar. Upon the two’s eventual meeting, an awkward sort of relationship blossomed. And while Handen was only on Corellia for this one week, the events transpiring during this week, and the first romantic relationship for Emmira along with it, would come to shape the young girl’s life more than either of the two kids would ever have guessed.
Handen worked for a rather old gentleman by the name of Mennen. And, as all old men do sooner or later, Mennen passed away; during their stay on Corellia, in fact. When this happened, Handen found himself both grieved for the loss of the man who had raised him, and excited over the large amount of credits and the ship left to him in the old man’s will. Aware of Emmira’s situation, Handen, due to what probably amounted to a lack of financial knowledge mixed with hormonal-influenced emotions, decided to keep the ship for himself and give the rest of the credits to her so that she could escape from the life she once knew. He had hoped that she would accompany him on his travels, though this would not be.
Emmira, upon receiving the credits, immediately purchased the first ship and astromech droid, a “used” one by the name of LL-6, that she could. Once this was done, she bid farewell to her mother and decided to follow behind Handen on his journey, as there was no room for her on the one-room ship. Though this never actually happened, as the two were irreparably separated due to an incorrect hyperspace code, and never saw each other again.
From there, alone and somewhat funded, Emmira began her very own career in smuggling and shipping. She has had many more experiences since then, and has grown into a multi-faceted woman.
