Name:Kaz Banefire
Age: 28
Race: Mirialan
Birth place: born on the light freighter Gropsh en route to Mirial
Height: 5'10"
Weight:183 lbs.
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Originally black though he keeps it dyed mostly red with streaks of silver and purple
Appearance:
Kaz has yellowish-green skin in a dull shade, almost a sickly midori. He has nontraditional Mirialan tattoos in black on his skin. He has two jagged symmetrical patterned tattoos where his eyebrows would normally be. The other tattoos are also jagged symmetrical patterns across his chest, abdomen and upper arms. His hands are also tattooed, with the same elaborate patterns as his brow, though on his palms.
He keeps his hair long, about mid shoulder blade. Dyed a vibrant red in color with streaks of silver and purple. He often throws his hair up in a messy half-hearted bun that keeps it out his face and keeps him cooler in warmer climates. On rare occasions he will go with the bun undone, and just let his hair flow down his shoulders and back.
Kaz's eyes are a very dark almost black shade of blue, giving him a very dark and brooding look even moments of joy and delight. His facial features are rather sharp, with high cheekbones and a rather small pointed nose. his jaw is somewhat squared as well, though unconventional for a Mirialan he does posses a strong form of bearing mixed with classic features.
The Mirialan Bounty Hunter can often be found in a dark grey combat suit with lots of utility pockets and piecemeal armored bits at the chest with shoulders and padded knees and elbows with sturdy black nerf hide boots. When he feels especially inclined he will put aside the combat suit for more traditional cut jedi robes died a light black to grey with a white under tunic and sash.He consistantly carries his lightsabers, the main, clipped on his belt and the secondary is tucked away in a special pouch in his belt. he also carries a matched pair of light blaster pistols (Rev'ant 62's) in special made quick draw holsters that cross in front of his waist.
Personality:
Kaz is a rather brash individaul, making quick choices and worrying about the consequences later, if he ever does. He is highly individualistic and does not like being told by others how he should be, or the way he should act, though he does thirst for knowledge and will put his own feelings aside in it's pursuit.
While Kaz has a very hard edge to his manners, being curt and obstinate, he does harbor a very soft spot for the feminine, often leading to a stumble in his own personal beliefs.
The worst of Kaz's faults would be a lust for battle and glory. He seeks justification of his actions by the outcome of the events, a 'The end justifies the means' philosophy, though in his heart he still want to do whats right by the downtrodden.
Highly individualistic Kaz believes that every being determines their own destiny and by right of this philosophy he scorns the traditional and expects that even if one pays homage to their past or their people, that it should be expressed in their own way not predetermined. That is why he has tattooed his body like all Mirialans do, though he has chosen non-traditional patterns and placing to distinguish himself from any other Mirialan.

Bio:
Kaz was born on the Gropsh, a Duro light freighter that was on a return trip to Mirial, which his mother was hoping to have him born with his feet on what she had considered the sacred soil of her home world. unfortunately the Freighter was attacked by pirates three days out from Mirial, and it's hyperdrive engines were disabled. His parents had taking the job as one last milk run before having him, to make sure that Kaz would have a bright future. His father was the pilot and his mother was there as the navigator, the freighter itself was all but unarmed and made easy prey for the pirates. To ensure their safety his father powered down everything but life support and let the pirates board and seize the cargo. as they were as the pirate captain was boarding his own freighter via the docking tube, he winked at Kaz's father and shot him in the gut. Try as they might his mother and the first mate could not save his father, within mere moments of his passing Kaz's mother went into labor. The birth was hard and the Duro First mate could not help his mother out. The first mate had only just barely placed Kaz in his mothers arms before she herself passed beyond the veil of life. It was a hours before the distress called was answered, but when help Finally came it was in the form of an old Falleen Jedi Named Tzor. Tzor took the young Mirialan boy who had no family and nothing for his future under his wing and with the help of a decrepit Protocol droid raised him.
Kaz displayed an affinity to the force at a young age and Tzor took it upon himself to train the young Mirialan boy in the mysteries of the force. He began his studies in the art of lightsaber combat at the age of seven with wooden sparring rods. Though the bruises he sustained while first starting to learn did not show him to be much of a duelist, his determination to follow in his masters, and pseudo-fathers, foot steps kept Tzor from denying him and focused on teaching him the basics until he could go through all the stances of the first tier of the Falleen Razortooth martial arts with only a blindfold on in a blizzard which he finally managed in his twelth year. Tzor was not a truly harsh master but he insisted on things being done a certain way. Converesly where Tzor was tough and demanding of Kaz as a pseudo-son and student, the protocol droid 8T6 was almost as caring and nurturing as any living maternal parent. 8T6 even made demand on Tzor and the would bicker almost as married couples would. one of their first fights around Kaz was the argument about 8T6 getting a softened hide "skin" grafted to her chassis to make Kaz more comfortable when she held him. 8T6 stood up to Tzor about pushing too hard and even would take Kaz away from his studies to have a normal life for a boy for a short amount of time everyday. Kaz never understood why a droid would act in such a manner and whenever he had approached Tzor about it Tzor had gotten upset and sent him away.
It was during these formative years that Kaz got his first real taste for flying, as once a month they would head to Yeere, the capital of Reytha an stock up on supplies. Tzor would catch up on local news as well as any spaceport rumors. Kaz an 8T6 would wonder around looking at the shops and buying any clothes he might need. Once Tzor even took Kaz to see the Montrossa islands, and on the sandy shores he founds a perfectly cut yellow gemstone. Kaz decided that this was the Force talking to him and this was for his lightsaber, and nothing would dissuade him.
Tzor was rather stiff necked in the first years of Kaz's training. though as Kaz grew and his skills began to show in both the martial and the mystical aspects of the force Tzor interfered less and let the Force just guide Kaz's learning. As Kaz grew stronger physically Tzor pushed for him not to let his mind go to waste and to study and meditate on and in the Force. Kaz tried to heed his words but rarely could he focus on clearing his mind for anything but lightsaber combat and flying, those were his passions, and Master Tzor encouraged him to focus on his passions as that would be how the force would speak to him, though Tzor would warn him many times and in many ways to be "weary the line he walked as passions, when not kept in check, become that which is in control." And again Kaz would struggle to head the word and take them to heart, though he would never stop listening to Tzor.
In Kaz's teen years he started maintaining a better control over the force, though still very lacking in any sort of telepathic skill his telekinetics were picking up and he started focusing on his body's physical aspect, getting up early in the mornings and running for two miles and then after a quick breakfast he would practice his combat drills, both unarmed and lightsaber. After an hour each he started meditating on the force while attempting to keep various objects swirling in intricate patterns with the Force, then it would be time for a lunch. After eating Tzor would pull him aside and teach him lessons from the Jedi histories and provide him with choices to ponder and meditate on.
During this time he also constructed his first lightsaber. It was a process that took him almost a month of deep meditation, crafting his lightsaber's hilt out of a broken throttle assembly from a speeder bike, electronic components scrounged from junked droids and star ships, a focusing crystal given to him by his master, and a yellowish colored gem that he had found while scouring the beaches of the Montrossa Islands as a child.
Kaz spent his down time learning how to pilot the antiquity shuttle in his down time from studying the Force and learning how to wield a lightsaber. As with any other boy and young man, Kaz was learning typical studies for any other male of his age with 8T6 as his acting tutor and teacher.
Kaz and Tzor got along as well as any son would with their father at that age; Kaz all spit and vinegar ready to conquer the universe and knowing everything. While Tzor moved at a much slower pace most of the time, teaching calmness and not to re-act but instead use measured actions. And though his teaching was sound and his advice wise, Kaz still felt that there was not enough action in his life. He heard all the grand tales of Jedi past and wanted to do what they did. One night Kaz went so far as to "barrow" Tzor's speeder and flew it by himself to Yeere, after getting it in his head that he would clear out the vice dens. Luckily Tzor arrived in his shuttle not long after him, and stopped Kaz rash and impetuous actions before he got someone, including himself hurt.
Tzor did let him learn his lesson though by letting Kaz start a fight that he couldn't win, choosing not to intercede until Kaz had taken a few scrapes and bruises before showing himself to the smugglers, with his purple blade brandished like a sword of ultimate justice, the force radiating from Tzor making him seem to tower of everyone and inspiring fear and awe intermingled in the spectators. He sent everyone home and took Kaz back himself.
When Kaz turned twenty two, Tzor released him from his side as his apprentice and declared him a Jedi Knight. That night however, after the celebration that 8T6 insisted on throwing, which was nothing more then less burnt food and an almost edible sweet cake, Tzor revealed his greatest shame to Kaz. He told Kaz that while everything he told him and taught him was true, He was not himself a Jedi Master. He had left the order before he had even been granted the title of Knight. He left as a padawan for the love of a woman only to have her taken from him in a few short years by a wasting disease. Tzor admitted that taking Kaz in and raising him was in honor of his dead wife at first though he had grown to love the young boy in his own way. Kaz was stunned by the news, though it should not have surprised him much, as Tzor refused to let him use any of the typical honorifics deserving of a Jedi instructor. And would explain why 8T6 was more of a companion outfitted with programming to have it act more like his deceased love, her last parting gift to him.
After consideration for the new revelations his mentor had given him Kaz took time to think and decide what he was going to do, he had the necessary skill and knowledge to be a Jedi, though he did not have The councils approval, nor even acknowledgement of existence. Everything he had trained for seemed for naught. in desperation he sought for answers in the Force.
After Kaz sought his answers in the Force he approached his Falleen master and told him of his decision. Tzor gave him his blessing and sent him on his way to make his mark in a dark and wondrous galaxy, imparting the last of his wisdom and his old starship to the young Mirialan man.
Kaz began his travels, seeking out Hutt space, where the galaxies worst villains tended to reside, though he found out, in no short order, that it would take more then just resolve and a lightsaber to clear out such an infestation of villainy. He started seeking the company of bounty hunters and the like, even employing himself to those that he was determined to take down. Kaz began learning how to track, stalk, use shadows for concealment, and augment his normal senses with the Force, as well as using blasters. Though blasters were not an integral part of a jedi typical ensemble he considered them to be an outward marking that he was not a Jedi, but something else, a seeker of justice, a protector of innocence, a defender of the downtrodden.
He settled in with a band of Rodians that were in the game just for the hunt. They chose their contracts by who they felt would give the best hunt and the best chase. They taught him how to track and read the city as well as more arboreal settings. They actually encouraged his use of he lightsabers to make prey more compliant, and taught him how to shoot straight and fast with blasters as well as piloting a light freighter which they used as their home and base of operations.
Kaz began to love the hunt, love they feel o a well laid trap closing, the chase. Being with the Rodians inspired Kaz's more baser, animal instincts, turning him more feral. With the refinement of his jedi training an use of the Force Kaz started quickly becoming a hunter to reckon with in his own right. They joked about having him take down an Azkul for his right of passage.
After running with them for a few years a hunt came up that the Rodians couldn't resist, however, the Force warned Kaz in a strange vision that it would be his doom if he went. He stayed, behind and took a side job, only to find out his friends had been ambushed by a kill team. He has worked towards finding out who all was party to killing his friends and eradicating them one by one.

Kaz folded his legs in front of him in the lotus position and let his mind sink into the into the depth of mystery that the force held. Kaz hoped to find answers to the troubles weighing on his heart, his masters revelation about not actually being a jedi, what that meant for Kaz, his own training, and where he should go on with his life.
As Kaz sank deeper into the force letting his mind drift from the material into the ethereal, he began to lose focus on his own surrounding and in his minds eye saw a derelict spaceship floating listlessly in space a drift though not without power just no guidance, no pilot, no direction with which to go.
Kaz had not realized that he had fallen asleep when experiencing the Vision, he started, awakened by he knew not what, though as his senses were returning, albeit strangely numbed, he noticed he didn't know where he was. It was dark, and the darkness seemed utterly oppressive and heavy. He reached for his main lightsaber, and it was not attached to his belt, in fact his belt and all his clothes were gone. He stood alone and naked with the darkness closing in on him, it's oppressiveness nearly suffocating him. Kaz was having difficulty breathing and fear was starting to creep into his heart.
There was a sudden flash as violet lightning tendrils violently blazed through the sky bringing Kaz's surroundings into sharp focus and contrast, in that mere moment he saw the approaching shadows.
Kaz dropped to the ground, his senses fully returning the darkness gone and fully clothed. he realized that it was still a part of his vision through the Force. Kaz felt a new resolve, even if the order did not accept him as a jedi he had the training and abilities to do right in the galaxy, and he was not restricted by the same code that the normal jedi was. With his new resolve he determined that he would begin hunting down the scum of the galaxy, those who preyed on the fear of others. He decided then and there he would be a beacon of hope, and fear. Hope for the helpless and fear for the oppressive.
