When you get down to it Teilo is not really note worthy appearance wise. With simple short stylish black hair and a solid tan he wouldn't stand out in a crowd with most human men. When it comes to his face Teilo is handsome in a young faced way more likely to attract girls a few years his junior then mature women, but he's hoping that growing a nice beard will remedy that. With his angular jawline and square chin he might even turn better looking as he ages.
However, Teilo made a point during his rather boring by his standards childhood to pay extra attention to personal exercise bordering obsession and as a result is very muscular for a man of his build and is able to do most physical activity with ease. In a way his build is his most defining feature next of course to his famous incompetence. His skin remains mostly smooth and unblemished even after all his brushes with angry former clients and local authorities. The only really blatant scar Teilo has collected is stretched about ten inches from his left shoulder to his left hip and is about three inches wide.
Being something of a minimalist Teilo only has a few changes of clothes that he can don when he feels the need to change up his regular wardrobe. His favorite color is black and it reflects in his choice of everyday apparel. Teilo normally wears a pair of nearly knee length boots with brown leather uppers with black soles and a zipper running from his toes to the top. Many people, at least other corellians, always ask Teilo what he did to get the high honor of having blood stripes on his pants and he always has a good story for them. Only trouble is they're always lies. For a top he has a simple thin black shirt to show off a little truth though: he's ripped (Insert pose here). The other constants in his everyday appearance is of course the twins, his blasters, and their stylish but practical hostler rig. To top off his air of "coolness" Teilo can always be seen in a pair of "authentic" Nova blocker sunglasses he got for a steal at his favorite pawn shop on Nal hutta: Slender Bob's Emporium and Stuff.
Personality:
Just to put it as clear as possible Teilo Braitano is just a simple man trying to make his way in the galaxy. Even back in his younger days he wasn't too concerned about the state of the galaxy just of his place in it. In a way it was this slight form of selfishness that made him leave his overprotective relatives on Corellia behind and cast his lot with the own band of vicious pirates that was his birth rite of sorts in the pursuit of his own gratification. One could also argue that he was just plain stupid to go through with it. Both would be right as anyone who spends any extended time with Teilo will point out he's pretty dim. The man's intelligence, or lack thereof, is more the product of the absence of book learning as a child and the overabundance of mostly ignorance all around than just a natural deficiency. While he tries to cover over this fact as best as he can it's hard for Teilo not to come off as an idiot when he might know the way to make grilled cheese sandwiches on an engine but not the difference between Jedi and Sith.
Maybe it stems from his wealthy childhood or the loot hunting days of piracy but Teilo is a bit of a hedonist. The pursuit of pleasure tends to be the main driving force in his life and he has no regrets about it. Considering himself an aficionado in many areas Teilo prefers "exotic" things more then just expensive. Strange customs, rare food, and interesting locations just to name a few. A special mention has to go to his absolute love of women from either different humanoid species or older then himself. Having both is a bonus. Yes, while some may think his taste in women are just purely fetish fueled Teilo has a few solid reasons for his choice. First of all being a small celebrity of sorts in his younger days he grew bored with all the regular human girls back on Nar Shaddaa. Second, as for the whole age difference thing in all honesty Teilo really doesn't care about age when he finds a woman attractive, if anything he thinks of them like a vintage wine. Plus, older women tend to lead conversations leaving less room for him to screw up a first impression. Besides these things Teilo has a soft spot for sports, particularly Grav-ball and swoop racing. As a kid he would always keep up with the status of the Coronet Carrion Spats, a Corellian Grav-ball team, and was even able to see them play a few times in person. Teilo still keeps tabs on them, but has turned more attention to swoop racing now because of the great gambling opportunities.
Like most folks Teilo of course has another side of himself. While he loves all his exotic vices he really tries to be a nice guy when you get to know him. Unfortunately, he still has the annoying tendency of trying to get people to like him instead of just letting them decide on their own. Thus Teilo tends to be very clingy and will try to keep someone he's taken a liking to around him if all possible. When it comes to his job he's kind of infamous for the fact that as a pirate he rarely leaves any ship or people he has the pleasure to rob in one piece. However, now that he's basically switched professions to more of a representative for his crew and others he really doesn't have time for wanton destruction anymore and instead tries his hand at smuggling high end goods now to those under his command. Although it's become an almost cruel inside joke that his cargo hardly gets anywhere in one piece.....
Profession: Second in command and liaison of the Eternal Dawn pirates. Does a bit of smuggling on the side when he's bored.
Skills:
Gunslinger
Blasters are possibly the only thing besides his abs that Teilo has put any real effort into. At first he started practicing thinking blaster tricks would be good way to impress women, but learned pretty quick the only people paying him any attention were rivals. A few stun duels later Teilo decided luck and misdirection would only take him so far and he's continued getting faster to avoid dying for real.
Improv Chef
Imminent starvation really has a way of bringing out creativity in a man. On multiple occasions since acquiring the Hound III Teilo has been stranded planet side or in orbit when the reactor sporadically went out. While after years of doing this Teilo has gotten great at patching the issues it still takes time and he might not of had time to refill the rations. Braitano stew, Nerf on a shingle, and dungeon wraps are just a few of his "signature" meals he's cobbled together to save his hide.
Lazerbrain Linguist
As strange as it sounds during his travels Teilo has picked up more then a few different languages on top of basic. He's fluent in Huttese, Bocce, and Olys Corellisi but knows a few choice phrases from Mando'a and can understand Twi'leki as well even though he can't speak it.

Bio:
Birth of Trouble
Much to the disappointment of his parents Teilo proved not to be one to follow the plans of others in the first few seconds of life outside the womb when he was born on a greasy bar counter in the Carson-class Destroyer, The Slice Hound, in orbit above Corellia. His pirate father Silus Braitano was rather vocally annoyed with himself that he and his former mercenary wife Kiera had come so far back to his home planet for his son to be born just to fail with them within spitting distance. If his wife wasn't in the middle of their sons first feeding she would've no doubt gave Silus a few loving blows to his head to remind him to just be happy Teilo had been born healthy. Intent on completing the other part of their plan the couple landed in Tyrena and left the hound to the care of the crew as they headed out to the Braitano family Ranch outside of the city.
Before the Beginning
Silus himself hadn't been to Corellia let alone the ranch in close to fifteen years and was happy in a way to be back. Last time he was here was right after the clan matriarch, and his father, Atlan Braitano had died of a heart failure and the falling out with his older brother Ringo over their old man's estate. After a few scrapes with C-Sec Silus had hopped the first ship he could and a few odd jobs later found himself a crewman in a pirate crew based out of Nar Shaddaa. A few busy years of working his way up the ladder Silus found himself the leader of his own pirate crew. The recently renamed "Eternal Dawn Gang" had a small but effective fleet of three Carson-class Destroyers including the hound and two A.C. Light Escort Corvettes along with three squadrons of Angel-class Scout Fighters. To house his newly acquired fleet Silus was able to buy a seedy abandoned swoop racing stadium in the lower levels of Nar Shaddaa and after some renovations the place was dubbed "The Track" and turned out to be the best hideout a few hundred pirates could ask for.
Not being stupid enough to try and rob any ships within Hutt space the E.D. Gang would take extended voyages into the outer rim to make off with any supplies, treasure, and weapons they could get their hands on before returning to the Track when the local defense forces would try to engage in a skirmish. Silus and his gang became small celebrities of sorts among the scum of Nar Shadda with a few affiliate crews and paying customers who wanted specific ships or planets robbed. It was actually during a planetary raid on Vanqor that Silus would met his future wife Kiera Vitaan. Wanting to make one last stop before heading home the Gang had decided that shaking down a few of the small settlements on Vanqor would be an easy job. They were only half right. Yes, most of the wretched denizens of the backwater planet backed down pretty easily, but the pirates really weren't expecting a lone fully armed and armored Mandalorian woman who was not too keen on surrendering her valuables. After several of his crew returned to the Hound's landing zone in less than good shape Silus decided to take a look at what was going on personally. After finally seeing the woman himself Silus couldn't decided if it was love at first sight or the feeling of pure terror that he found interesting about the mandalorian, but either way he made her a high paying proposition. The job was simple: train his men to be even better fighters and be his chief enforcer among the crew. He had to throw in her own private quarters, but the woman who revealed her name as Kiera Vitaan agreed and Silus couldn't have been happier.
For the first few years Kiera was pretty aloof and didn't mingle with the crew much at all let alone Silus, but after awhile she finally warmed up to them and enjoyed the company of her less then civil pirate friends after they fought side by side. However, it was during a month long vacation for the crew to Zeltros that Silus and Kiera drew close after seeing a lot of the romantic spots and attractions. It took just a single month of having this beautiful warrior woman at his side that he decided to ask her to marry him on the last day before they left the planet. Being overjoyed Kiera agreed and they were married in the best pirated formal clothes they could find in such short notice on their ship. With new bride in tow Silus returned with the rest E.D. Gang to the Track for a more local honeymoon.
It was a little under a year later that the couple found out the good news that they'd soon be a family and started preparing for the inevitable. After their frequent raids the Braitano's would save their share of the loot to use later on their child while the rest of the crew could still bask in the revelry of Nar Shadda. Unfortunately, nine months later as the baby was fast approaching Silus ran into a few "issues" after the gang accidentally destroyed a ship that was carrying precious cargo for a particularly unamused Hutt named Loro. Wanting to clear the problem up as quickly and painlessly as possible Silus took the hound along with Kiera personally to pay Loro triple the amount of the cargo he had lost when his ship got blasted to scrap and offered a favor of his choice from the gang when he needed it. With that annoyance out of the way the couple sped as fast as they could to Corellia just as Kiera was swearing the kicking was getting worse.
The Prodigal Brother Returns
After getting closer to his ancestral home Silus had to admit that it had probably been better that Ringo had gotten the ranch because by the looks of things it was much better now. The old barns, rotting old trees, and unfortunately rocky ground they had grown up with were gone, now replaced by developed corrals and large pastures. Besides a few hundred head of healthy Nerfs Ringo had apparently had branched out into raising Carrion Spats, owning even a few of the rare giant variation. However, as Silus stopped his speeder in front of the old homestead he noticed not a single thing had been changed about it. It even had the same flaking red paint job it had continued to proudly sport since who knows how long. On the drive up to the house Silus and his family strangely hadn't run into anyone, but before they could even knock on the front door it burst open sending a swarm of children rushing out. Although it was a futile effort Kiera tried to stop them from chanting "Uncle Silus!! Uncle Silus!!" too loud before they woke up their newborn little cousin. Silus himself was a bit taken back by the eight or nine by his count nieces and nephews that he knew nothing about, but sure as hell knew about him.
As if on cue Ringo appeared and with a few sharp words had his children formed in a line from oldest to youngest as he moved toward his estranged brother. Just like Silus himself looked the part of pirate lord with elegant if not rough clothes and jewels Ringo was the spitting image of their hard working father complete with a long beard and bulging muscles. Before saying one word Ringo pulled his brother into a hug with the force of nearly two decades of separation. Under the crushing embrace Silus managed a heartfelt if not short of breath " Missed you too bro."
Much to the slight annoyance of his crew Silus' supposedly brief visit turned into three long weeks for them as he made up for lost time. On top of learning all of his nieces and nephews names him and his brother were finally able to clear away all the former bad blood and get along very well. After seeing his tiny nephew Teilo for the first time Ringo assured his family they would always have someplace to go if they needed and that Teilo himself should at least spend a few months out of the year on Corellia. Of course Silus and Kiera agreed as they prepared to head home before their crew decided to mutiny.
The Adventure of Young Teilo Braitano©
Just as boring as you'd imagine it for the first few years of our heroe's life the only real perils he went through was making sure to yell loud enough to get changed when he cut a loaf or when he couldn't crawl out of his play pen. Things continued like this until nature did Teilo his first solid by letting him pick up walking and potty training just before his second birthday. It was from then on that it was his parents near daily struggle to keep Teilo under control when they weren't trying to plan a nice raid somewhere to keep their crew fed. It was just a year later that for his third birthday that Silus and kiera got their son two droid babysitters to keep an eye on him while they attended to business at the track. Recovered from an old junker ship the 4BS-R3K butler droid aka "Scuffs" and the TK-421 loader droid turned bodyguard aka "Slinger" were reprogrammed to watch over Teilo 24/7 if need be.
Unfortunately for the both of them keeping up with the adventurous little monster was nigh impossible. As Teilo starting stacking years he constantly pushed the boundaries of where his parents let him go in the track as well as during family trips on Nar Shadda with his two droid protectors always a few steps behind. While their son enjoyed his golden years Silus and Keira had more then a few problems of their own. With their grand if not infamous reputation the Eternal Dawn pirate crew had honestly gotten too big to support itself for any important amount of time. Even robbing a good sized merchant ship barely covered the expenses of fuel and feeding all the members. To keep the crew happy the Braitano's dug into their own pockets to reward them for their loyalty and dedication. With their funds quickly diminishing Eternal Dawn started to hit larger and larger targets in a bid to regain former status and fortune. It was during one of these raids aimed at capturing a banking clan vessel that Teilo's father Silus and everyone on board the Slice Hound were killed when the ship was fired upon and destroyed.
Thankfully for their son Keira was on the bridge of another of their ships when she saw her husband blown into dust. Quickly calling for a withdraw the newly minted widow tried to balance her grief while figuring out how to tell the then eleven year old Teilo that his father was dead. For most of his brief life the boy had lived oblivious to the danger of piracy beyond noticing never seeing a few old friends again after a job now and then. As you'd expect of a kid his age up until this point he was pretty carefree balancing an inquisitive nature with the pangs of growing up. However, Teilo knew something was wrong when he noticed the Hound didn't arrive with the rest of the fleet when they returned to Nar Shadda. Waiting for his parents disembark he noticed all the injured crew mates heading out first straight for the infirmary before he finally spotted his Mom. Despite running up to hug her out of relief Keira just seemed to distant and aloof as she knelt down to her son's level. With tearful eyes she didn't do Teilo the disservice of lying about what happened to Silus and told the boy flat out that his father was dead.
From free spirit to farmboy
The death of Silus Braitano shook the foundation of not only his immediate family but the crew itself. Word of their leader being gone caused the moral to nosedive and panic to spread. In a short time the group started to splinter going their own ways, taking what loot they could get their hands on from the Track and bid best wishes to the mourning Teilo and his mother. After literally watching a good portion of her life crumbling around her Keira decided it would be best if she took the boy to his uncle and cousins while she straightened out things on Nar Shadda. Not wanting Teilo to be the one to tell Ringo his brother was dead she traveled to Corellia herself to fill everyone in about the situation before leaving her son with his family for safe keeping.
It would be another five years until the boy would lay eyes on his mother again or leave the planet. Under the watchful eye of his Uncle Teilo was soon became a natural farmhand just like his cousins and was given his own duties to earn his keep. In the morning after the family breakfast he would proceed to the regular carrion spat corral and feed the flock a nice filling meal before heading off to the pin with their bigger cousins. The giant spats had to be fed a special protein and grain mixture to keep them healthy at their size, so Teilo had to do his best to remember what all went into their food trough. After that he'd saddle up the best of the bunch and wait for his cousin's to arrive so they could lead the Nerf out to pasture. After his chores were done Teilo had some down time before lunch so he'd either wander the areas of his uncle's land he hadn't seen before or play with any of his cousins with their chores done as well.
However, a short time after he turned fourteen Teilo's duty was shifted a bit to being one of the boys to lead the Nerf herd to one of it's feeding pastures everyday. Unfortunately for the boy tragedy struck a short time later while he had his back turned at a watering hole he was rammed and gored by a bull Nerf. After the Nerf in question was put down by his cousins they took Teilo back to the ranch to get help. The wound that caused his now iconic scar took over thirty stitches to get closed up and directly made him decide to try and better himself. The day he could use his shoulder again Teilo started a daily exercise regiment that after another two years would make him the muscle man every knows and loves today.
Back in Business in a Big Way
It was around this time that Keira returned to fetch her son in grand style with a newly christened "Slice Hound II" and a whole new crew. In the five years since Teilo had seen his mother she managed to use the remaining resources at her disposal to call in a few favors and hire a group of hardened Mandalorion mercenaries like herself. Using these rented warriors for as long as her favors would last she orchestrated small but very profitable heists ranging from large banks to wealthy aristocrats. By the time her fellow warriors left Keira had all the loot she could ask for and kick started the Eternal Dawn pirates once more.
The new hound turned out to be just one of many ships that made up the new fleet acquired by Keira and had once again taken their spot at the top of the pirate food chain in Hutt space. Bidding farewell to his uncle and cousins Teilo returned to Nar shadda and the Track after seemingly a life time away from his true home. Her own personal fears aside Keira thought this was as good a time as any for her son to learn about the family trade. Surrounded by the best crew members they had the boy was able to witness first hand what all went into being a pirate during his first and favorite theft to date: knocking over a luxury liner. The clientele and staff shuddered and flinched if Teilo and the gang even looked their way after their guards were dead. They turned out to be very cooperative as well once you threatened them a little as well. On top of personal loot he received a good cut of cash for his contributions.
As you'd imagine it only took one profitable and entertaining heist to get Teilo hooked on his now beloved profession. For him things seemed to repeat themselves heist to heist and party to party for the next three years. Of course the man has enjoyed every step of the way even finding entertainment in his frequent gunfights and many ignorant setbacks. With his mother getting up in age now she rarely takes part in raids and such anymore except to dust off her skills now and again, making Teilo the De Facto leader of the gang now. In the back of his mind the man really doesn't want the added responsibility to cut into his fun so his mom can stay the leader for as long as she wants for all he cares. In the end though the galaxy should prepare itself for the inevitable, because one day they'll have the Braitano Empire to deal with if Teilo has anything to say about it.

"Guys..guys..guys.. can't we work just work this out like gentl-" Teilo said in a soothing voice before the hard fist of one the weequay he had been talking to sent him crashing into a rickety table. Despite that good blow to his jaw he got up almost immediately feeling more angry at the fact he had to touch the beyond filthy floor of the dive cantina then the fact he just got socked. Taking a deep breath as he massaged his jaw Teilo closed the distance yet again to talk to the leader of the weequay.
He assumed of course the biggest of the three was the leader by the fact he was the tallest, strongest, and as Teilo was nearly face to face with him knew he was the smelliest too. Doing his best to put on a smile despite his split lip the pirate decided to try something a little different. " *Ahem* I'm sensing a language barrier thing here just led to a misunderstanding. I'm not here for any trouble and you know that. You said to meet you here at this...less then enjoyable cantina. The least you do is give me my merchandise so I can pay you and get the hell out here!" Teilo spoke in Huttese before ending with a shout.
Much to his annoyance the threesome didn't say a word just leaned their heads back and let out a flood of laughter after the big one drove his fist into Teilo's stomach this time around knocking the wind out of him. Before he even had time to take another breath the weequay basically punted the young pirate in the gut sending him crashing into an occupied table. As he watched the frightened Rodian couple flee from what had been their dinner now plastered to his shirt Teilo tried counting to ten, but mentally said 'screw this' after hitting two.
The Weequay were still having a good laugh as he instinctively reached for his twin blasters and grabbed at thin air before remembering he left them at the door. You think an establishment as filthy as this place they'd let you keep your blaster just to keep the vermin away. Teilo got an idea just as he scrapped what he couldn't believe the Rodians called a meal off his shirt and grabbed a heavy mug and the plate from the ground next to him. Rising in nearly an instant he sent the plate sailing through the air at his guffawing attackers. The weequay on the left didn't even have his eyes open from laughing as the plate hit him square across the bridge of his nose.
Smiling and feeling suddenly better Teilo let out a laugh of his own as the plate shattered and sent the weequay screaming to the ground. Not thinking fast the other skinny one on the right only had time to be silent and wide eyed before the mug went smashing into the side of his dome. Teilo couldn't help but wonder if he'd killed him as the weequay silently fell to the ground in a heap much to the surprise of the biggest and last one. Thankfully the big guy was busy looking down at his fallen friends when Teilo brought a bar chair down on his back.
Just like the two tables before him the chair splintered into pieces on contact but nonetheless sent the weequay down to his knees before falling flat on his chest. Teilo walked a slow circle around the bigger man struggling to get up with a smirk on his face. "Guess you never messed with a Corellian before huh? Serves you right for having the bright idea to screw with me." With a grunt the weequay was able to rise to his elbows causing Teilo to stop his banter and decide how best to finish this in a room full of onlookers.
Being careful not the break anything else the pirate got up on one of the more sturdy looking tables near the still struggling weequay who was on his palms by now. Hoping not to mess his finisher up Teilo really wish someone was gonna record the whole thing as he jumped off the table and dove at his target. The only thing louder then his elbow drop landing perfectly on the weequay's back was the gasps of disbelief from the few patrons who had stayed to see the fight draw to a close. Getting up from his smelly and extremely unconscious victim Teilo let out a barrage of hoots and shouts at his perfectly executed holovid move. 'and they say don't try this at home. Ha!' Teilo thought to himself a moment before a horrible thought popped into his head :he'd forgot about the package that had started this whole thing.
"No...No...No.." Was all Teilo could say as he checked the satchels and pockets of the smaller weequay hoping to find the case he was looking for. Besides finding a few odds and ends the search yielded nothing of note until he rolled the brute he had skillfully dispatched over just to check. To his horror found the package he was looking for, but unfortunately it had been well crushed in the weequay's front pocket from the fall and ironically the elbow drop. Being careful not to grab anything he'd have to cut his hand off to forget about Teilo retrieved what had once been an ornate carved box of rare Vavorac root cigars from the pocket.
It nearly brought tears to he eyes as he opened the now mulch looking box before it fell completely to pieces in his hands. In Teilo's hands was the collective dried and aged remains of five of maybe one hundred Vavorac root cigars left in the galaxy, and he'd just helped destroy them. Literally struggling to fight back tears Teilo shifted through the pieces and nearly burst with joy as he found one of the cigars was still in one piece. It might've had horrible cracks and bends running along it's length, but it was in much better shape the others.
Sticking the horribly misshapen cigar between his grinning teeth Teilo fished out the small box of old fashion phosphorus matches before moving towards the front door exit the bartender was angrily pointing at. The young pirate only stopped only for a moment to strike one of the matches on one of the weequay's faces before lighting his cigar, getting his blasters back, and stepping out into the night air. "That was worth it." Teilo said with a chuckle as he blew out a well practiced smoke ring and started towards the 'Hound'.
