Sol'kanar awoke. The dull grey room around him spun as he rose stealing his balance. He staggered forward in the near darkness and slammed into the hard stone walls. He slid back down to the floor, his claws on the sides of his head. The roomed thrummed lightly, sending shivers through the walls and into Sol'kanar's back. He curled forward vomiting in uncontrolled, violent sobs. Filth pooled around his shaking claws. He crawled forward out of the pool and passed out again.
The cave shuddered and howled and Sol'kanar startled awake again. He snapped to his feet, his wild eyed wakefulness fed by great hunger. A thin tacky strand pinned his lightsaber to his chest. He pulled the clear strip off and attempted to fling it to the floor, but it clung to his claws. He dropped his lightsaber noisily to the floor and tore it off with his other hand but it stuck there as well. The strip passed from hand to hand until it was no longer sticky. He dropped it and picked back up his lightsaber and waited.
Slowly he remembered how he got here. He was hunting at night when he spotted a human in thick stone clothes. He chased and chased, but the stone man ran like a deer, fast and nimble. Twice he had almost caught him, but he dropped stones that exploded into blinding light that burned his mind. Finally he chased him to this cave. The man was not inside, but there was food. Freshlly killed and tore to chunks, it lay invitingly on the ground. Sol'kanar ate his fill and slept soon after
The cave hissed and shook. A surge of weight dropped on Sol'kanar's shoulders a moment pushing him toward the floor before relenting. His lightsaber flicked on, casting the dark room in ruddy light. He ran across the flat rectangular room to the wall and stabbed his blade into the stone. It bleed hot orange drops onto the floor. Slowly he pushed down, rending a huge gash in the wall. Unnaturally bright light shined in through the tear. Sol'kanar slammed his heavy fists into the wall over and over until it bent outwards. The edges burned his scales as he squeezed through, but he escaped.
The shuttle stood awkwardly in the middle of a four way intersection, angry traffic blocked on all sides. Horns and drivers both yelled in protest as Sol'kanar fell out of the shuttle's womb and on the street. A man approached the smoldering mutant, his hand on holstered weapons. Sol'kanar couldn't hear what he yelled over the angry crowd, but he walked slowly toward him.
Sol'kanar surged forward, grasping the human tight to his chest and pinning his arms at his side. He squeezed his arms together and was rewarded with several gurgled pops. He lifted the police officer off the ground as he craned his neck down. His trisectioned mouth enveloped the humans head to the chin. Sol'kanar twisted his powerful neck and tore the head free. The crowd fell silent.
