A tall young man in rather obnoxiously good shape, he wears his hair short and meticulously styled, his jaw clean shaven. His taste in clothing is understated but expensive - or else comfortably restricted by uniform. Kiro has resting bitch face and a surprisingly disarming smile. His eyes are a pleasant cerulean blue, oddly saturated against the rest of his washed-out Echani coloring. He moves with a self-aware reserve which fades away when he is too excited to police himself. In such times he has a bad habit of gesturing exuberantly with his hands. He is outwardly cheerful, though given to moping if left alone with his thoughts too long or if he doesn't get his way. Kiro is very concerned about ego and appearances and has (often unrealistically) high expectations of himself and others. He is just self-aware enough to realize that he's thus far grown up under tremendous privilege - a fact that he regards with faint embarrassment. His father was exiled long before the actual event, of course; both sets of grandparents were furious. The Evari promptly cut their social ties with the Noallin. During the first few years of his life Kiro was raised by committee, of sorts. Various nannies and discreet bodyguards, his mother perpetually busy with her continuing education but warm and effusive when she could be there. Eventually, the grandparents began to thaw, rigid spines bowing slowly under the weight of the their grandson's earnest questions and various scholastic and athletic accomplishments. Where they would not, years ago, at Astelle's pleading. Apart from an early and abiding interest in Republic service, the rest of Kiro's upbringing became quite typical for his circumstances. He dreamed of earning an officer's tabs, a ship command. Alas, the war was over before long before he was old enough. Duty during peacetime seemed somewhat less romantic, but his course was quite set by then. To change his mind would be to disappoint Grandfather Evari terribly. With only a little bit of nepotism on his side, Kiro should now have his pick of any navel academy in the core - pending the results of the final written exams. |
