Appearance Height & Weight • 5' 3" and 138lbs Overall Looks • Aurora is an attractive woman with long straight black hair, pale with only light patches of pink, and a trim if the somewhat soft body. Her oval face bears a pair of large and expressive almond-shaped soft brown eyes. Above plump lips normally stained a light shade of pink the tip of her slightly upturned nose typically cares a light pink blush. While most often seen in the red republic navy dress uniform when off duty or on shore leave Aurora prefers to wear light clothing often dresses and her private wardrobe is strewn in clothing in lights shades of blue, pink, yellow, and white. Regardless of whether she is in uniform or not she always wairs a pink pair of corrective glasses and a silver hair clip. Personality Profile Though somewhat soft in a speech she is still able to project enough force and authority to control the bridge of a warship. A friendly if somewhat tiresome to be around Aurora still struggles with social skills on the occasions when her intelligence and quick wit fail to win over others. Finding it difficult to make friends during her childhood and teen years under the intense tutoring and pressure of her parents' expectations Aurora still struggles in relaxed social situations and still finds it difficult to measure up to her caring, but highly motivated and successful parents. Overall History • Aurora was the second born of Realyn and Demetri Vienneau. Aurora was a small plump happy little girl as anyone would expect when her older brother died when she was, but a fourteen-month-old child. Perhaps because of this very event Aurora never wanted for anything some would even say spoiled, but at the very same time, Aurora became burdened with all of her parent's hopes. Normally one might not consider this a huge price until you realize that Aurora was the daughter of a career navy officer indeed at her birth an admiral and a neurosurgeon. Unsurprisingly she excelled academically consistently remaining at the top of her class and even skipping many of the normal grades graduating at the top of her class at fourteen. All wasn't well however and Aurora was often depressed as a young teenager even when she entered college and often felt distance from others even her parents whom she saw little of most of her childhood. What most might think was her greatest achievement nearly killed Aurora though not as many might expect. Two days after learning she was accepted to the Correllian military academy and receiving her bachelors in Aerospace engineering she attempted to commit suicide. She was found by her roommate at the college and rushed to the emergency room after ingesting a lethal amount of a paralytic compound. Ultimately she recovered from the stunt spurred on from the lack of her parent's attendance simply damaged some of her muscles which required her to remain in the hospital for several weeks for care and to ensure she didn't attempt it again. Ironically for the first time in her life, it was her parents who set with her in that stark white room. They were on the world when she was rushed to the hospital coming to attend a surprise party for their daughter. Eventually, Aurora recovered from the incident though not without lasting damage and a continuing need for medication despite psychiatric help. For her part, Aurora made a great drive to be rather more sociable whilst in academy not that she necessarily made any great gains in that department during her time there she did certainly impress many of her instructors. She did gain one friend during this time a young bothan woman who was also attending the academy named Teliar Drelipah. Their meeting wasn't of either of their planning Aurora had been one of a group offering to tutor in the academy for some time when Teliar arrived seeking help for in some cases dangerously low scores and the two rather quickly became friends despite being nearly polar opposites. Eventually, all things end and Teliar and aurora graduated both being assigned to light corvette's. Graduating Second in the academy aurora was Assigned to the corvette Whirlwind as it's chief helmsmen. The Whirlwind spent the entirety of Aurora's two-year tour aboard escorting Freighter convoys from Corrusant to Mygeeto only rarely being faced with minor pirate attacks. With the end of her time, she was reassigned to the Republic cruiser Mephista. As a young lieutenant as the second mate under Captain Dolgra During only her sixth mission on the Mephista had her first true taste of naval ship combat. The Torpedo cruiser was ambushed by a pair of pirate heavy freighters and though while the ship survived and managed to destroy one ship and was forced to limp back to it the nearest dry dock. Unfortunately, the nearest port was also the most dangerous and least secure for a republic light cruiser namely the smuggler's moon Nar Shaddar. After nearly a week of negotiation, the Mephista was finally allowed to drop its self in a dry dock on the world during which time the majority of the crew was placed on shore leave. During the long stretch of her leave the ships first mate finally managed to talk the young woman into joining him and some of the other officers in a cantina crawl during which they actually ran into a small group of the planet's less than savory occupants who attempted to rob both Aurora and another officer as they made their way to the next cantina. Stripped practically to their skin both women were to both their surprises actually allowed to leave by the robbers and rushed back to the ship. Ironically It was a piece of good fortune during the ruffing up the larger group of officers were attacked by the remaining pirates from the Mephista's "grand" battle and murdered all the officers within the group. The Pirates where unsurprisingly hunted down most having to be killed, but it still left many gaps in the ship's officer corps the highest of which was giving to Aurora Namely the position of ship's first mate. It would be two more years of most boring uneventful humdrum patrols and escorts before the Mephista, or indeed any ship in its task force was forced into battle. Tasked with clearing the increasingly well armed and well-supplied pirates surging in the Kessel system the Mephista's battle group was tasked with the most costly portion of the small-scale war, destroying the pirate's asteroid hulk bases. The largest of which called the scrap yard by the pirates was littered with the un-space worthy hulls of ships that the pirates had piecemeal together as a form of defensive armament. Both of the guns still operating on many of the hulks and the novel use of actually detonating ship cores as a form of defense against fighters and drop ships. During the battle, the Mephista became bogged down in a dense fighter swarm able neither to fight them off or outrun them the ship was slowly picked apart by the fighters before long air leaks began to be reported all across the ship. For the first time in her life Aurora became the hero of the moment when she ordered the ship's shield output be modified effectively turning the ship's shield into an EMP blast knocking the fighters out and allowing the Hulk it's self to be used as a lifeboat while the battle still raged around them until a rescue could finally be mounted by the other ships. With their ship worth little more than scrap the crew was forced back into the pool of officers in the navy indeed Aurora now promoted to a Lieutenant Commander found herself little more than a glorified secretary back at the republic naval headquarters on Onderon. Finally, she was assigned her first ship built on Onderon itself the new frigate christened Dawn was assigned to Aurora. The Dawn a missile frigate was built from the ground up for escorts swift and maneuverable. The ship served long tours of duty escorting supply convoys. On one such run, the facility it's self the convoy was heading from near mon calamari came under attack from my rebel units mostly fighters supported by heavier attack ships built out of converted freighters. The Dawn and one small corvette were forced to fight an enemy force outnumbering them nearly forty to one while protecting both the facility and the shipping lanes. In the end, it was a success despite both ships being taken out of action with a hammerhead reinforcing them destroying the last marauding freighters while the corvette spiraled planetward engulfed in flames. Severally damaged the Dawn could do little more than being towed to Kuat by several of the convoy ships serving an essentially a battle barge. Aurora was left without a ship and for at least a month stranded on the Kuat shipyard. most of the available republic ships already rushing towards Dantooine despite the planet already being lost to sith forces. Aurora was finally saved once by her own academic abilities and was assigned to then what was code-named Argonaut. A program to produce an advanced republic warship which at the time still officially didn't have a name or designation. Finally on the eve of the projects completion aurora was notified of her promotion to Commander and rather more shocking her assignment to the newly completed warship christened the Aegis. The Aegis was a stealth vessel that functions as a hybrid between an escort carrier and a heavy destroyer. She served over a year along the hotly contested border and space lanes between the Republic and the Empire. One week she would be raiding sith shipping, the next she might be probing Imperial defenses or discreetly delivering republic commandos to Imperial or independent worlds. After a long tour, Aurora and the Aegis returned for shore leave and refit at the great Kuat Drive Yards.  It was on Kuat while visiting her mother that the Empire struck at the heart of the republic. The entire Republic Navy surged into action as an Imperial fleet appeared out of hyperspace above the densely inhabited capital of the Republic, Coruscant. The Ageis and her commander like all the ships, not part of the Kuat defense fleet were ordered to scramble to reinforce the surprised and disorganized Coruscant defense fleet. The Aegis was one of the twenty ships to leave Kuat as most of the crew was still aboard. Aurora was temporarily placed in command of a small squadron consisting of three corvettes and a pair of frigates.  Upon arrival at Coruscant, the small flotilla found themselves in a great maelstrom as the republic and empire ships including vast dreadnoughts brawled at close ranges sometimes even colliding into each other in the chaotic sea as vast clouds of fighters swarmed like insects around the great warships and civilian ships unfortunate enough to be at the wrong place at the wrong time darted to and fro trying to find a path out of the hell surrounding them. Aurora was still trying to determine the best way to use her small force when here crew picked up a distress call through the sea of blitzing messages. The Kaylia a medical ship had formed a small convoy of lightly armed merchant ships. While the laser cannons and blaster cannons of the transports had been enough to ward off the swarms of fighters, but as they neared the edge of the quagmire they were set upon by a wolf pack consisting of several frigates and destroyers led by an Imperial cruiser. Seemingly the only ship to pick up the distress call and with no time to formulate a plan Aurora ordered her force to split with one frigate and a Corvette escorting the convoy and the aegis and the remaining three ships rushing into an assault against the cruiser and it's three escorting ships.   Closing at maximum thrust the aegis launched all of its strike craft at one of the escorting destroyers. With their high maneuverability, the small ships could avoid the cruiser's heavy turbolaser and the combined point defense of the Aegis and frigate could destroy most of the incoming missiles the sheer volume of weapons fire from the cruiser was impossible to completely avoid and one of the corvettes was melted to slag under the hail of turbolaser bolts as it's shielding failed. As the remaining three ships one of the cruiser's escorting destroyers hull rent outward venting atmosphere and debris as the few strike craft to make it through the curtains of deadly laster fire struck one of the ships munition stores before breaking off too few in number to effectively strike the remaining ships to join the ships escorting the convoy. A final volley of torpedos ripped one of the two remaining frigates open and Aurora ordered her frigate and corvette to engage the frigate while the Aegis itself attacked the cruiser directly. Though suicidal the Aegis managed to render the cruiser dead after several tense minutes skimming the hull of the much larger cruiser. Following the battle, Aurora learned that the remaining members of the convoy managed to escape. Heavily damaged the Aegis limped back to Kuat and a few days later the remaining crew of the Aegis along with Aurora were decorated for their valor and given extended leave while the Aegis was repaired. The event made Aurora a minor hero in the aftermath of the battle and she was fast-tracked for a promotion, but after several months it was time to return to the thankless job of pirate suppression the Aegis would serve for two more years before finally being withdrawn from service. Still, the only ship in her class the Republic made the decision that in the new need for naval build up the expensive to maintain Aegis was no longer worthwhile. After the Aegis was retired Aurora was given command of a stationary defense station above Corellia though at least the new dull posting came with a promotion to captain. Aurora served as the commanding officer of the defensive station for several years, before, following a six-month leave she was told she was being reassigned and ordered to present herself at the republic docks above Kuat. When she reported to the staff of the station she was informed that she was being placed in command of the recently completed Armitage-Class cruiser Hyperion. The Hyperion was given a simple mission for its shakedown run picking up a republic diplomatic team from Coruscant and then ferrying them to Prazhi. After an uneventful first mission the Hyperion was sent to it's more or less permenat posting along the republic border with the neutral zone.
