What time is it there? I hope this doesn’t wake you, but you know me. I wouldn’t write unless it was important. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of concrete evidence, just weird rumors and a bad feeling. I know something’s not right out here. I thought, for sure, that the agri-station business would mean war with the cartels. Nothing’s happened, though. If anything they’re paying less attention to us than ever. Well, the clock says it's about 23:47 Galactic Standard. No way to tell if the damn thing's right though. You know how it is in space - only colors outside the windows are 'swirly blue' and 'black with stars' most of the time. Got the second right now. You happened to catch me in between jumps. It's back to blue in a bit, though. Yea, I've seen a lot of shit popping up about crystals on the HLS. Wonder what it could be about? Hutts have suddenly gotten into mineral collections or something? I don't have much or a read on it either. Some of my Cartel contacts have gone silent lately. Wonder what's up? And Force drug? No way, that's gotta be a scam to screw old people out of some creds. Guess it never hurts to look, but I bet that doesn't turn up to be anything. Reminds me of this one job I worked when I was gettin started on my own. Fuckin' charlatan was selling some drink he swore up and down was holy water from Tython that could let you "Peer through the future's curtains." It was Force-damned sewer water run through a purifier. Remind me to tell you the story sometime. I don't know what's going on out there, but I can't shake the feeling that things are a long way from settled. Heard some rumors that the Black Sun are still plannin' some shit, but when aren't they? Hey, I've made it to Coruscant. Trip went well - about as boring as always. Had the weirdest dream though. I was just minding my own damn business and some armored person showed up in my doorway out of the blue. Scared the shit out of me. Anyway, I'm sure you're staying busy over there, but something's going over in Hutt Space. Maybe it's connected to that other stuff? There's a tension in the air here I haven't felt since the war ended. The Hutts are massing a fleet. All over the news, and no one knows what's going on. Republic is on alert and just issued a travel advisory for all of Hutt Space. Can't think of the last time something like that happened that didn't involve some shooting afterwards. I've been on the ground for about two minutes, but I if I learn anything I'll pass it along. Stay safe out there, D3adb0lt

Sorry. I’m just catching up on all that. I don’t see how the Hutt activity could be about us. Doesn’t make sense financially when they could crush our NS ops. It would take a major refit for us to even begin to compete and, of course, most of our ships are spoken for, working … I need to go home, soon. F & T may know more right now. I’m still onsite but the investigation here is more or less over. The mercenaries killed DeVoss – doesn’t matter anymore I guess? We wont be making any deliveries to Nal Hutta now. But I don’t think our conman would have survived transit anyway. There was something really, really wrong with him. He just kind of fell apart when she kicked him. [Pretend there’s a gruesome photo attached!] That was taken not even ten minutes after death. Looks like mold? Fungus is not my specialty. Dead pet also on scene, taking steps to prevent the spread in case this thing is catching. It’s possible that we’ve all been exposed. T says the spice is real, but I don't have any details yet. Ew! I don't think bodies are supposed to look like that are they? That's wicked. In the bad way. Not like, wicked cool or something. Wicked gross. So when T says real, we mean like 'this actually does what it says' real or 'this is a thing that actually exists that someone is trying to peddle as something magic' real? Cause one of those is a whole lot less upsetting than the others. Force help us. I wish I had more news to give on the Hutts, but people here are wondering the same thing we both are. General thought seems to be it's not you, or even the Suns. Hyperspace readings are off the charts around Teth, but no one knows what's going on out there. My guess? The Hutts are showing force to whatever is happening out there? Maybe an insurrection of some kind? But that doesn't mesh with hyperspace scanners going crazy outta nowhere. To be frank, I wish I had better news too. Looking back, maybe that dream wasn't so bad. Won't be long before I'm back out in the field. I gotta file some paperwork and shit here first though. The fleets, and our old friend the Basilisk, are moving to the Galactic east – I imagine you will know that already. We’ve had no luck stopping anyone coming in from that direction, for the most part. Sorry for the late response. As you can imagine, things have been a bit of a shitshow over here. And y'know, when I was reading that for the first time, it took me the longest time to figure out what "Moe do the winky face" or "Line break, Moe" meant. But did figure it out. Eventually. Til I read the thing at the bottom of the email. But yea, if your info helps us figure this shit out, I'll do everything I can to get a damn statue built. From what I understand, the files have been passed on to some of the Republic's best nerds, so hopefully, they can get something figured out as far as a cure goes. From what little I've gathered early returns haven't been very good though. Did you ever take the slicer up and what's your favorite game? I need to know. Anyway, I've been stuck on a cruiser. Heading off on a mission.  Lots of planning to get done on the way over hasn't left much time for messaging, unfortunately. We’re stopping by Attahox. Not too far from your neck of the woods. Place doesn’t have much going for itself - nothing but fields of garbage, according to the reports. But a Hutt science ship’s stranded there, so we’re gonna see what we can see.
