Overall Looks • Ignasi is an athletic woman with freckled, wind chapped skin and clear blue eyes. She most often wears her copper-colored hair in a simple, easy to maintain style -- though it is enormously curly and bothersome if left down and allowed to dry. Comfortable in her own body, Iggy is incredibly easy to read unless she is making a conscious effort to keep a straight face. Active and energetic, it is rare to see Ambassador Uamair sit still for longer than a few minutes. Her hands are calloused and scarred from long hours spent away from tea rooms and writing desks (fencing, marksmanship, and riding are all proper, fashionable hobbies after all) and her nose is slightly crooked from having been broken at least once. Still, Iggy possesses a deceptively sweet singing voice. Iggy prefers to dress for the occasion - or to make a point. Her wardrobe is imported and expensive, following the tastes of Galactic fashion, though typically in more sober colors. Ignashi is never without a thick gold ring with a casting hawk seal on its face, a family heirloom that means much to her. Personality Profile Ignasi's social mask is utterly perfect. Canny, charming, and manipulative, she knows how to delicately play a room full of people. She has a great fondness for the rules of behavior that govern polite society - and for breaking and subverting them, if it can be subtly done. When disentangled from her job, Iggy is bold, passionate, and changeable. Niceties fade away somewhat into a polarizing honest frankness and a dirty sense of humor. Loved or hated, she rarely fails to make some kind of impression. In all things, Ignasi is ambitious and highly self-motivated. She makes very few close friends but has hundreds of meticulously organized acquaintances logged in her commlink. Background Father • Ingimundr Uamair. 62, retired luthier and dabbling home inventor Mother • Glasir Uamair, 56, construction contractor Siblings • Víopnir & Habrok, twin brothers, 19, students Other Important Connections • -- Overall History • Ignasi Uamair was born in rather modest circumstances - though Ralltirr's modest is very comfortable most everywhere else in the galaxy. Her parents were both artists, albeit ones who worked in very different mediums. Iggy remembers her childhood home as a place forever 'in progress,' one room or another always being torn up and built new. Yet it was always full of beautiful music, too. Her early efforts in school were rather indifferent, sliding into sullen teenage delinquency after her brothers were born. An only child for thirteen years, she resented them for a time. It was a relief to everyone involved when Ignasi's juvenile records were sealed and the young woman herself sent to Ralltirr's most prestigious school of etiquette. Iggy hated it at first, of course, but there was a certain calming peace to the ritual and rule -- and something personally thrilling about subverting them when she could. She went on to study history at Cambriele University, finishing her masters at age twenty six. While the decision to go into Foreign Service was a sudden one, inspired by the worst years of the Republic-Sith war, it took the better part of a year for Iggy to prepare for the exam. It was only held three times a year; she failed the physical portion twice. Owing her family more than she could ever count for the years and years of support, Ignasi was nevertheless fiendishly excited to see the galaxy at last. Her first few posts were very minor, attached to this or that embassy's staff. Prazhi was the last, suddenly thrust into the limelight after the armistice agreement between the Republic and Sith. |
