Her breasts are more of an average “B” but while Skylar may lack curves up top, she has it in the hips. Skylar's body is covered in freckles from head to toe, including her full lips and eyelids. Her eyes are a bit of a unique green. Not quite a bright green or dark green. Some may call it a sage green. What's more distinguishing yet, her back and shoulders are covered in heinous scars in all shapes, sizes, and textures from her time in captivity with the Sith. Skylar’s skin has a natural tan to it and her deep chocolate colored locks running down to her derrière is usually in a neat braid or in a ponytail of sorts. Skylar’s expressions are more or less a bit more serious or natural. After everything she’s experienced she doesn’t show much emotion and has excellent control over the emotions she does display. Otherwise, any other outfit would versatile. Personality Profile Skylar is what most would call a survivor. Her past has made her the type of person who would do anything to survive. This has made it easy for her to adapt to almost any situation and to learn how to get herself out of many different situations. With that said, this has made her very independent and has made it hard to rely on her because she hasn’t had many people in her life that she’s been able to trust. Most of Skylar’s life has been spent in captivity with very little context of what love is. She doesn’t fully understand the term of what love means and hasn’t had someone tell her that other than when she was very young. This has made Skylar a scared towards relationships as she doesn’t know if they are attempting to use her and doesn’t understand the full capacity of love. A few things that Skylar does enjoy is a good strong drink and a few good rounds of Sabacc. Thanks to the Force, it’s helped her win a few games to help her get by when she needed it most. Despite her bad past, Skylar is always open for new experiences, which has always her well rounded. She’s not to try new experiences, within reason. And she’s always open to learning about different things to help keep herself growing as a being. This does make her humble, however, she will be the first to admit that she doesn’t know everything and will ask to be taught something if she is curious or the situation warrants. One of the few things left in the Galaxy that does mean everything to Skylar is a few family members in particular. She will do anything to protect them. This makes Skylar a very loyal person to those who deserve her protection and loyalty. If she is treated respect she will treat you with respect and she isn’t afraid to remind you of such. Skylar is also not much of a talker. She can be very quiet for the most part only speaking when she has something to add or a smart quip to add to the conversation. Once she is comfortable with a person, she tends to open up more which can lead to more dialogue. STRENGTHS Independence: Skylar has learned to be very independent and learned how to take care of herself and those she loves. Selflessness: Going back to the few people in her life that matter, Skylar isn’t afraid to lay down her life and do anything for them. Confidence: Whatever Skylar is doing, she always has confidence that she can get the job done. Focused: Skylar is very focused and intense when it comes to whatever she is working on. WEAKNESSES: Trust: Unfortunate incidences in Skylar’s life have caused her to find it hard to trust people. Empathy: Skylar isn’t the greatest with empathy. She usually is very brash and tells it as it is. Her Past: Her past has hindered parts of Skylar's life in many ways. Not only in trust, empathy, and love but in opening up to others as well. She is afraid to let down her walls and be vulnerable. She also doesn't talk about it very much in general which can make it hard for others to understand why she is the way that she is. Background Father • Gavin Zenar, Deceased Mother • Adria Zenar, Deceased Siblings • Sovi Zenar, Shut-In, 29 Other Important Connections • Maralynn Sangha, Adoptive Mother, Retired SIS Agent/Full-time Caretaker, 57 (NPC) Toro Shen, Antagonist, Pirate Captain, 55 (NPC) Aren Fett, One-Time Partner, Leader of Clan Fett, 39 Overall History • Skylar Zenar was the first child born to Gavin and Adria Zenar, a pair of young, idealist Republic doctors working on Tatooine through a medical outreach program. With their connection to the Republic, Skylar was given a blood test at birth and found to be Force-sensitive. Her parents, however, refused to give up their first daughter to the Jedi Order for training. A few years later, Gavin and Adria would have a second daughter, Skylar’s sister, Sovi. For the most part, the first few years of the small family’s life on Tatooine was peaceful and humble. Until the Sand People raided their homestead. Skylar was about five when the attack happened, and her sister was three. The Sand People attacked their lonely, desert home, killing her parents as they tried to defend their family. The children, being young, were taken by the Sand People back to their camp to be indoctrinated and raised in their ways, as the Sand People sometimes do. Skylar would refuse to leave Sovi’s side this entire time. Their captivity in the desert was not to last, however, when a group of mercenaries raided the Sand People’s caravan and found the girls. These mercenaries were not very nice men, and Skylar and Sovi wouldn’t spend enough time with them to remember their names or their faces. They do remember, however, being sold once the mercenaries took them to Mos Espa. Skylar and Sovi would end up as slaves in a gang of pirates who operated an old Foray-Class Corvette called the Blue Star and captained by a grizzled Pantoran named Toro Shen. The pirates would use the girls as manual labor, maids, and the like, doing all the things around the Corvette that they couldn’t be bothered with, and beating the girls or refusing them food when they disobeyed or didn’t live up to the pirate’s expectations. For nearly a decade of Skylar’s life, the Blue Star would be her home. When Skylar was thirteen years old, the pirate gang would employ the services of a Dark Jedi, a Zabrak named Drask Ulgo. But Drask’s payment wasn’t in credits or precious commodities, but the crew’s Force-sensitive slave. Skylar thought that Drask was her ticket to a better life, and she petitioned hard for Sovi to be able to come along as well, but both parties refused. Under pain of death, the sisters had a heart-wrenching goodbye as Skylar left with her new master. Skylar would find that she would have more freedom under Drask than she had ever had before, but he was much more demanding than Toro Shen, and the punishments were more severe. Drask introduced Skylar to the Force and explained that he would be training her in it, and how to use a lightsaber, as well. The Zabrak would teach Skylar Shii-Cho, Ataru, and later on the more advanced form of Juyo. She would learn how to twist and influence minds with the Force and throw bolts of lightning. Eventually, Skylar would build her own lightsaber with a purple crystal. But whenever she failed, Drask would beat Skylar silly. After a few years of this, he would eventually lose his temper to where he beat Skylar with an underpowered lightsaber, leaving the first scars on her back. And then in her late teenage years, Drask would eventually force himself upon the poor girl. Resisting only made things worse for Skylar, a fact she quickly learned so well, that she would become willing for her master when he wanted her. A trait born out of necessity, and a need to survive. Meanwhile, when Drask deemed her ready, Skylar would perform covert missions and assassinations out of their compound on Jakku her master. Everything she did, was to further his cause, and he never stopped letting her know that she was replaceable. Even when the Sith Order revealed itself, Drask was cautious, curious, but not enough to throw in his lot with the Order. However, when the War against the Republic and the Jedi started, Drask took Skylar to Korriban, and they both joined the Sith as Master and Apprentice. For Skylar, things were the same as they were on Jakku. The only things that changed were the weather and the fact that Drask had his own masters to answer to, now. Skylar would serve at her Master’s side for the Sith through the War, as an assassin and agent, until the Death of Taris came. Once the rakghouls revealed themselves, and chaos erupted in the middle of the battle, Drask made the order to retreat. The Zabrak was wounded, and relying on Skylar as they were cut off from their forces. That was his fatal flaw. Skylar, seeing her opportunity and remembering the Sith teachings of the strongest surviving, flung Drask from a ledge, where he had a short fall onto a durasteel platform. She watched as the rakghouls dragged him away, screaming into the night. After Taris, Skylar returned to Korriban, collected the little that she owed, and stowed away on a ship out of the Decade Spaceport, anywhere bound for Hutt Space, and quickly as she could before the Sith realized she was gone. Nar Shaddaa just as friendly and welcoming as Korriban, but Skylar was free to do whatever she wanted, for the first time in her life. But the young woman was focused. She needed money. And then she needed to find her sister. With the Force as her secret weapon and her years as an assassin, Skylar took to bounty hunting as a natural. Money soon wasn’t a concern as it once was, and she had more time to pursue her goals of finding Sovi. The Blue Star was still operating as a pirate ship, and Toro Shen was still alive. But after Skylar captured and interrogated one of its crewmates, she learned that Sovi had been stolen from them on Tatooine a few years ago by some middle-aged woman. So Skylar traveled back to her home planet and learned that a woman fitting the description she had was living in Mos Espa. Skylar visited and found her sister living with a woman named Maralynn Sangha. Maralynn revealed herself to be a retired SIS agent, who had a bleeding heart for slaves and their struggles and had taken to Sovi when investigating the Blue Star. Sovi herself had some mental issues, from being under the pirate’s thumb for so long, but Skylar, after a while, trusted Maralynn with her sister. Soon enough, her bounty hunting was fully supplying the home in Mos Espa. Making a name for herself as a bounty hunter, Skylar would eventually run across a Mandalorian named Aren Fett, who was trying to get out of the game so that he could focus on his clan. Through some unusual events involving a bar shootout and chases across the Red Light Sector, they became acquainted rather quickly, though the Mandalorian was initially untrusting and indeed a bit hostile, given his general distaste for Force-users. Skylar would help him take out a rival bounty hunter, and he would save her from a pair of Sith assassins, and even Aren had to admit at the end of things that they worked well together. |
