A canopy on the top of the backside half of the ship can be found along with a widening back end that slims to the front in a triangular design. As well, twin pairs of medium laser cannons can be found on each side of the back canopy. At the front end the slimmed length expands a bit at the front in an almost hammer shape. Function This ship is designed to serve as a sleek and small courier ship designed for a crew of generally 1-4 despite its bulkier size. On the inside, small cargo holds are held in the front of the ship, hyperdrive for medium range jumps, and increased thrusters for speed when out of hyperspace, the KL-1400 is a popular ship for small trading businesses needing a bit of protection, as well as a known popular ship used by smugglers and other crews needing a quick but durable ship. Maximum crew living space allows for four members, but it is common for the removal of max living quarters to allow for other amenities. The ship is also known to sport shields at the expense of larger cargo holds.
