The clothes on her back, a vibroknife, and the occasional set of tools she can scrounge up. She and her siblings have also been piecing together a ship. Appearance Face Claim • Zendaya Height & Weight • 5'10" 150lbs Overall Looks • Decla is tall and lean with long and naturally curly dark brown hair. Her copper skin has a youthful glow but she usually carries the expression of someone with too many hard years. Her brown-black eyes are often set with a stern "don't mess with me" expression and her somewhat squared jaw backs up that assertion. Decla prefers dark and neutral colors in her clothing, though beggars cannot always be choosers. All of her clothes are at best second hand. Pants, a tank top, boots and a jacket are her usual go-tos. Personality Profile Decla is as headstrong as she is naturally strong. Once she makes up her mind about something, it takes a great deal to change it. At the best of times, she could be considered aloof or indifferent. Most of the time, however, she behaves as if the galaxy itself is against her. And evidence suggests that is true. She is not generally a trusting person. Experience has taught her that everyone has an angle and will do whatever they can to get the upper hand. And she is no exception. Decla has no qualms with worming her way into a favorable position. Decla has a substance abuse problem. Dalia and their overwhelming poverty are the two things that have managed to keep her from diving head first into an early grave. Alcohol is the easier substance to acquire, and so the more common influence she can be found under. When drunk, Decla can be particularly barbed and sarcastic. Occasionally, she can get her hands on Crude; a substance that turns her into something more akin to a monster than a person, like the name suggests. The only exceptions to her general distrust and dislike of people are her siblings. Desti and Dalia are literally the only people she has in the entire galaxy and she will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. They, and the hope of one day getting their ship spaceworthy, are the only reasons she has to keep going. Background Father • Silvestre Aleatori, deceased, Trader Mother • Rosalia Aleatori, deceased, Trader Siblings • Desti, 24, Tattoo artist/Speeder painter, brother Dalia, 24, Former EMT, sister Other Important Connections • Ferra, 1, a purple tooka with cream colored stripes Overall History • Decla was the first born of the Aleatori triplets. Their earliest years, little more than a rose colored dream in Decla's mind, were happy. They lived, as most Humani do, as nomadic traders. Their parents had begun to teach Decla and her siblings the basic tenets of Humani life; self reliance, honesty, and ingenuity, but had only barely scratched the surface of their culture and heritage before their untimely deaths on Coruscant. Stranded and without support, the young Aleatori siblings found themselves sinking lower and lower into the depths of Coruscant's undercity. The majority of their formative years were spent simply trying to survive. Decla put her stubbornness and tendency toward brute force solving of problems to what use she could, often finding work as a scap yeard hand and scavenger. She did eventually find a slight affinity toward fixing things and, with effort, has managed to learn to work on engines. Wary of the various undercity gangs, Decla has done what she can to keep her siblings and herself out of the worst of trouble. Her no bullshit attitude has actually done her some favors, earning her a reputation as honest and fair, if a bit crude. That is not to say she managed to avoid all trouble. There were several instances where she or her siblings found themselves in true danger. It was during these times that Decla began to understand that her strength and intuition were coming from something more. Desti too seemed to notice this about himself and the two had started to explore the extent of these strange abilities. In her heart of hearts, Decla wonders if she and Desti could be like those Jedi people talk about. But without Dalia, they'd be nothing, and so Decla only entertains the idea in her dreams. Over the years, the Aleatori twins scrounged and scrapped, working diligently and secretively to piece together their ticket to freedom. Their ship is nearing completion, requiring only a few more parts to make it spaceworthy. Once it is, they plan on leaving Coruscant and all its terrible memories behind. Somewhere out there, they have family, and a place. |
