He was born from a Chieftain of a hidden settlement called White Fang. This settlement was located near the bottom of a mountain. These mountains were shaped like giant fangs from a far. The settlement was known for it’s male warriors. They protected the village from anyone or thing that tried to cause harm to the people of White Fang. It was always an honor when a family bore a son as it meant honoring the Chieftain with strong male warriors. From the moment Hakkjath was born his father would always share knowledge of what it was like to be a warrior for his village. Every chance Hakkjath's father had, he spread ways of influence as if he was training him to become the next chieftain of the village. Once Hakkjath was about 4 years old, his father would teach him the basics of close combat. He taught his son how to launch a punch or a kick at an enemy. His father even taught him the basics of weapon combat. At the age of five, a Jedi knight came to the village looking to recuit Hakkjath in the ways of the force to become a jedi. This Jedi knight's name was Liamdim Byeatwo. Liamdim was sent by the Jedi order due to Hakkjath being a force sensitive child. Hakk’s father was indeed proud that his son would become a powerful warrior. Becoming a jedi would bring great honor to his people at White Fang. There was a lot of pressure put on Hakkjath due to his father's expectation of him to be the best at what he did. Hakkjath's father allowed his son to leave with the Jedi knight to be train in the ways of the Jedi. Through Hakkjath's conversation with his father, he would motivate himself to master everything. Hakkjath needed to prove to his father that he would be a powerful warrior. Through the next eight years, he found himself always willing to do everything first. He wanted to learn and be the best among the Jedi younglings around him. Hakkjath had to prove to his family and the jedi that he had what it takes to be a strong warrior. As he trained in his classes, he showed the most potential among his peers. At age 13, he was appointed to padawan under Jedi Knight Liamdim Byeatwo. His first task was to create his first lightsaber. This process felt like a life time on Ilum. He spent three days on Ilum, meditating to find a connection to a Kyber crystal. The force guided him to the location of a purple crystal. The crystal he connected with was between a dark violet and violet shade of purple. For the following years, his training consisted of early mornings meditations and research. Every time Hakkjath complained or asked for more training in other areas other than meditation and research, he would receive long lectures on how one must understand the force before venturing out into other training's. Hakkjath found himself training on his own after hours to make up for his lack of training in other areas. By the end of his 15th year, he was going on missions with his master. When missions went off track or things didn’t go as planned, Hakkjath would act without thinking causing major headaches for his master. While his master would critiqued him on this, he would justify his reasoning by being flexible and in the moment. As he was 16, he was assigned a mission to find out information on recent abductions of children on Coruscant. Several days of talking to locals on the street and in the cantinas, there was a connection to a group known as Black Sun. His master, Liamdim found a lead that would lead them to the whereabouts of where the children might be taken. Hakkjath was eager to find the children and decided to take off to the location. Hakkjath fell into a trap sprung by the group who were affiliated by the Black Sun. All Hakkjath could hear in his head was his master lecturing him about his rash actions. Hakkjath was surrounded by criminals with guns all pointing at him. He wanted to show his dominance in fighting them all off but knew the mission came first. Hakkjath knew he needed to get captured so that he could be taken to the other children. Choosing not to fight, Hakkjath allowed himself to be taken by the group. He didn't have a backup plan but he had to trust his master and the force to get the missing children back. Little did Hakkjath know, this was all part of the plan by Liamdim. His master would follow the group to the location. Hakkjath was taken somewhere that was away from the city. After what seem like hours of traveling, Hakk was thrown in a room with other children. During this time being locked up, he made a friend who was a human about the same age as him. His name was Kai. Through conversations with Kai, it seemed they both had a connection with each other. Hakkjath explained to Kai and the rest of the children that he is a jedi and that he is going to get everyone out. Kai and Hakkjath created a plan together for the next time a guard came into the room to feed them. Later that night, the plan was set in motion. As the one guard came into the room with food, a small girl shouted pointing at Hakkjath. Hakkjath was on the ground acting as if he was knocked out. The girl said he fainted and fell down. The guard dropped the food and ran to Hakkjath. As the guard was examining Hakkjath, Kai came behind him and smacked his head with all his might. The guard fell to the ground, which created the opportunity to escape. As Hakkjath was leading the group, he began to hear shouts and blaster fire. As they made their way closer to the noise, he noticed his master with a few other Jedi deflecting the blasters. His master and the other Jedi eventually over ran the group of criminals that were here in this underground location. His master was glad to see that the children were safe with Hakkjath. Liamdim gave Hakkjath his lightsaber back since the criminals were smart enough to take it from Hakkjath in the beginning. He was ordered to lead the children out of the underground tunnels. Hakkjath was able to lead the children and Kai safely out of the tunnels. As soon as Kai saw sky, he gave a huge hug to Hakkjath. Kai didn’t think he would ever escape this place. As Hakkjath embraced the hug, Kai told him that he would like to see him again when ever he isn’t on missions or training. Hakkjath smiled and said that he would like that. As the year went by, Kai and Hakkjath would continue to see each other. It would usually be late at night and after hours, since he was always training during the morning and day. As Hakkjath turned 17, he was confronted by his master. His master had figured out about him and Kai. Liamdim had told Hakkjath that it would only lead to the path of the dark side, once again getting lectured. Hakkjath didn’t see the reason how this would affect the Jedi at all. It wasn’t their business. To please his master, Hakkjath said he would focus on his training to prove to him that he was not distracted. His training became more rigorous. He was basically training most of the day if he wasn’t on a mission. Hakkjath would train using the force through levitating himself and objects that were bigger than him. He would practice force leaping to get to one place to another and would also practice his form using his lightsaber. Every time, he failed at doing something, the failure pushed him to continuing trying until he was able to do it. One night, Hakkjath managed to meet Kai at their local meeting spot. It usually was deserted behind an abandon building. Usually when Hakkjath would arrive he was embraced with a hug from Kai. This time it wasn't a hug but from a familiar voice. The voice was from the leader of the group who took the missing children a year ago. This man was never caught and managed to escape his master and the other Jedi that came to rescue Hakkjath and the children. This man was called the Bloody Fist due to the amount of people he killed with his fist. Bloody Fist explained to him that Kai was behind on credits to a local smuggler. Only to find out that this local smuggler was friends with Bloody Fist. Kai was on the ground badly beaten. Hakkjath was beginning to feel rage within him. He was worried for Kai and needed to save him. Bloody Fist found the connection between Kai and Hakkjath and used Kai to bring Hakkjath to him. Bloody Fist would take this Jedi to the Black Sun to make up for his failure on selling the children for credits. Hakkjath tried to talk Bloody Fist down. Hakkjath tried to explain that the Jedi wouldn't allow this to happen again. Bloody Fist laughed at Hakkjath’s response. Bloody Fist was growing tired and took out his blaster and shot Kai in the face. Hakkjath entire body went numb. Hakkjath's eyes opened and was sppechless for a few seconds. His body was covered in shocked. He didn’t even get a chance to say that he loved Kai. Hakkjath’s blood began to boil deep inside him. A dark rage embraced over him. Ignited his lightsaber, Hakkjath leaped jumped to Bloody Fist. He used all his power to strike down Bloody Fist. A few other lackies came from behind only to be killed by Hakkjath. His anger was continuing to build. Blind rage was guiding Hakkjath as he conituned to strike down people around him. Once the screams fell silent, Hakkjath fell to his knees. The rage that was guiding him vanished. Hakkjath was overwhelmed with saddness. All he could do was clutch Kai's emotionless body and began to cry. After a few hours of feeling hopeless, Hakkjath took Kai’s body and buried him. After he buried Kai, Hakkjath returned to the Jedi temple. Hakkjath didn’t sleep at all that night as he began to think about what he just did. He had openly struck down people with anger. He broke the Jedi code. Once his master and the Jedi council found out about this, he would be exiled from the Jedi. He couldn’t think of any other options that would kept him from staying here in the Jedi temple. The next morning, everyone in the temple were talking about how a group of locals were slaughtered. As he passed several people in the temple, he overheard them gossiping about the attack was caused by a lightsaber. Hakkjath knew it was only a matter of time before his master and the Jedi council would make the connection. With shame and fear, he left the jedi temple. Hakkjath needed to find a way off the planet before his master found him. He met a bounty hunter in a local cantina that promised him passage of the planet in exchange for credits. Luckily, Hakkjath had been saving credits from the past year. He gave the bounty hunter all that he had. Kakkjath left everything that he owned at the temple except his lightsaber. As they left the planet, Hakkjath was beginning to feel a pull toward a planet that was surrounded in dark energy. He could feel something calling to him there. Hakkjath narrowed down the search to the planet called Korriban. Hakkjath felt he had lost hope in himself and the jedi. He needed to find his true self. Hakkjath was still feeling hatred and anger toward the loss of Kai. Hakkjath felt like Korriban might have the answers he needed. He knew that the planet was affiliated with the sith. Would they accept him or would they throw him away like the jedi would after breaking their code? Hakkjath’s only hope was to find someone who could help him find his true calling. He was a dark jedi now and his only hope was to find someone who would take him in through the Sith empire. As Hakkjath stepped onto the surface of Korriban, he left his past behind him and became a Dark Jedi. He told himself, that from now on he would call himself Hakk Brum. |
