It had been a week since the bomb had destroyed the military base in Ahto city, and the reconstruction had only begun three days ago. Much of the charred remains of the previous building had already been cleared away, and the foundation laid for the new one. It was in the midst of this, at the end of the third day, that a rather grim looking major stood surveying the scene. Things were not going smoothly, and this only managed to add to her already high stress level. As if it weren't bad enough her company was only at half staff, but add to that the paranoia that came with constantly looking over ones shoulder for a dark jedi stalker...or perhaps he was some dark guardian angel?...and the fact that she had only learned last night that her brother had turn-coat and joined the Sith military after years of working for the republic. Aunna could all but feel the grey hairs growing in.
With this thought a dark chuckle came from the sandy brunette's throat and she shook her head slightly. What a difficult path in life she was treading these days. Sighing, she glanced at the setting sun, the wind picking up the tails of her coat. Like it or not, buildings did not just sprout up over night and it was time to go get some rest for the next day...or in her case, time to go lay down and stare at the ceiling for a few hours before exhaustion forced her to sleep. Without a second thought, she turned in the direction of the building she would be staying in for the next few weeks as a temporary quarters and office.
The walk normally didn't feel quite so long as it did today. Perhaps it was the mental and emotional strain that were finally taking its tole on her body once again, but she felt downright heavy and tired. Yawning slightly, she turned down the darkened street that led to the front of the building she had been bound for. The shadows ruled the narrow street, pools of light forming here and there beneath small lamps along the way. Part of her wondered what Vex was up to...things had been particularly quiet lately, and that was an abnormality when it came to the mind sucking dark jedi. Typically a sith or two would be found dead or worse...only barely alive with their mind destroyed...but lately, nothing. The calm made the major more nervous than hearing about the various and sporadic attacks because of her already paranoid mindset. Knowing Vex, the silence meant he was up to no good. Inwardly groaning at the thought, Aunna put it aside to be dealt with later.
It wasn't until she was half a block away from the doors to the building that she started feeling uncomfortable. Something was wrong, but she couldn't put her finger on what. Eyes narrowing, she glared at the various shadows as she continued her walk, stepping up the pace a bit to get to the doors sooner. There was a chill in her spine, and that lately had come to mean 'dark jedi' or 'sith'....and unfortunately, she didn't think Vex was the cause this time.

Getting onto a Republic-controlled world was almost too easy these days. It was almost enough to make one think they weren’t really trying anymore. But Manaan? Manaan was nothing, hardly any trouble at all for someone who knew what they were doing, even with the recent security problems on the planet. And to top it all off, I now own this lovely transport. How nice. Let us hope it holds together long enough to get to another planet.
Just another civilian transport, barely large enough to hold twenty people, just another of Ahto City’s numerous docks. Nobody paid it any mind. The Republic and the sith didn’t care because, frankly, it was just another of the countless ships not under their jurisdiction and outside of their territory. The Selkath didn’t care because it had a legitimate reason for landing on their watery world, a reason that would also make them money.
Fuel and minor repairs, both of which the ship actually needed. Further reinforcing the Selkath’s willingness to ignore the ship was the fact that it was listed as an automated transport with no passengers, slated to pick up one, a human woman, planetside before departing to Bothan Space. The security systems at the entrance to the dock could confirm that nobody had either come in or gone out, and the maintenance droids could confirm that there was indeed nobody inside.
Machines were so easy to fool, yet so many relied on them so heavily.
And, of course, the woman that the ship had been scheduled to pick up on Manaan was quite thoroughly deceased, and would never be found. Ion engines had more uses than just propulsion. Couldn’t have any loose ends, after all. Not when you were about to do something on the scale of kidnapping a Republic officer. The things you do in the pursuit of bettering yourself…but enough of that. The prey approaches.
The major was scarcely thirty feet from the doors, when a figure clad head to toe in armor black as the void of space if one were to take away the stars stepped fluidly through from inside, moving like calm water over smooth rocks, stopping just outside. The suit bore no markings, save a few from battle, but there was a distinct, lingering darkness emanating from the being within; not malice, not hatred per se, but the shadow was there none the less. Almost as apparent as the pair of simple tubes hanging from the figure’s belt; easily seen as the deadly blades they truly were to anyone who knew of such things. As the boots came to a rest, the helmet swiveled smoothly to one side, and though you could see no eyes through the black of the visor, it was readily apparent what its gaze was fixed upon.
”Major Borgonia.” The figure, now obviously female, said in nearly a whisper, the voice far more gentle than most expected from within the hard shell of plate. Not many recognized the accent of a Cathar these days, as they really weren’t as easy to find as they had once been. The Diaspora caused at the destruction of their home so long ago had spread them far and wide, but it had not helped them grow. Anyone who could tell a Cathar when they heard one, however, would easily be able to identify her; though she hadn’t spent a great deal of time around her own people, she had inherited a rather heavy accent. She spoke quietly, in a soft tone, but loud enough to be heard by the one she spoke to. ”Is it not dangerous for one such as yourself to travel so lightly defended in such times? It would be a pity if any harm were to befall you before your time, and I know of many who would see you dead, or worse.”

Aunna stopped short, eyeing the figure even before she spoke. The voice was soft and feline...a Cathar?...but Aunna barely had time to think about that. Rolling her eyes slightly, she wondered just what it was about her that seemed to draw dark jedi to her? Yes, by this time she knew for a fact that the woman was a dark jedi or highly trained sith...since meeting Vex, Aunna had had quite a bit of practice at discerning them from sith military or grey jedi, or regular jedi, or just some regular Joe. As the woman spoke again, Aunna raised an eyebrow and sighed.
It certainly is, especially since it seems I'm a magnet for dark jedi. As for harm...hmph...it's a bit late for that I'm afraid.
She retorted, brushing a bit of dust from one of her sleeves as she gazed at the armor clad woman before her.
So tell me...just what is it that you want from me? I doubt you came here to talk.
Aunna could feel herself treading on thin ice, but she didn't let it bother her...not at the moment. Putting her hands in her pockets, she waited quietly for the woman to answer. Good grief, she reminded Aunna of a female Vex and it was rather annoying. The major eyed the sabers at the woman's sides, but made no other motion that she noticed them, instead focusing on a plan to get out of this alley. Unfortunately, the woman was standing in her way to get into the building with the guards in it, and she mildly wondered what carnage had taken place on the inside.

"'Dark Jedi'? That term is quite overrated, I'm afraid. A label originated by hypocrites for that which they did not understand...a label used far too broadly as of late. I find it amusing how you would lump so many greatly different individuals into such a category."
The Cathar tilted her head slightly to one side as she appraised the woman before her. More dangerous than most would probably giver her credit for at first glance, certainly, and intelligent to boot. A true asset to her vaunted Republic. A pity they would have to do without her for awhile. Such was the way of things, however; sometimes, you had to step on a few toes to get what you wanted, what you needed. Sometimes you had to take a hammer to them. Subtlety, while a strong ally, could not always be practiced as much as one would want.
Straightening her stance, she folded her arms behind her back and gave a slight nod of affirmation. "Indeed, I did not come here to talk, and while I do not doubt your intelligence, I do doubt that we share many common interests...but neither did I come here to take something from you, per se..." Unclasping her arms, she brought her left hand up and aimed a single armored finger at her quarry, her tone unchanging. "I came here...for you. I care little how we do this, so I will leave the decision to you."
Lowering her hand, she set it lightly on her hip, but made no other move, gave no signs of hostility or aggression. "While I doubt someone of your...mindset will elect to come peacefully, it is your choice. I have no desire to end you, as that would in fact be detrimental to the reason I came here, but if you resist...I will not hesitate to kill anyone you bring into this. Only one has died by my hand today. Know that any more blood shed is on yours. Make your choice, Major."

Blue eyes glittered slightly as she watched the female ahead of her. The woman had an odd sort of point, but a point none the less. Vex didn't quite fit into that category either...not any more....at least, not to her.
I see. You have a point in that, but it doesn't change the fact that you are most certainly NOT my ally.
As the cathar spoke again, Aunna moved to a more casual looking stance, her feet slightly apart. To most this would have looked as if she were simply relaxing more, but no...not Aunna. If anything, she was preparing herself for the struggle that would inevitably come. When she was given a decision, Aunna nodded simply, understanding. The woman had warned her, giving the major an opportunity to come quietly...but they both knew things weren't going to go that direction, so there was no use in acting like they would.
I understand, but I'm afraid I can't let you take me anywhere without a fight....but you knew that didn't you?
Aunna withdrew her hands from her pockets, only a small cylinder held in her right hand. She wasn't trying to make the first move...no, she'd learned the hard way the past few weeks that sitting back and watching was sometimes the most ideal plan of action. The only problem...it left one at a disadvantage when fighting someone who had a connection to the force. Blinking at the cathar woman, Aunna waited for the first move.

Beneath the black of the faceless helmet, Dani smiled. Usually, that wasn't a good thing. Cathar were not built all that well for it, and this particular Cathar hadn't smiled at a good thing for a very, very long time.
”Yes…it is what I expected, but it is my experience that a non-violent path is often the better, and should be attempted.” She lifted her shoulders slightly in a small shrug, slowly unclipping the larger of the two cylinders hanging from her belt and grasping it loosely, though she did not yet activate it. No, caution was her way, waiting for the opportunity, and it had served her well for some time. The fact that she still drew breath was a clear sign of that fact, considering her way of life. For now, she simply watched the other occupant of the alley, studying each and every movement, even the smallest, and especially her hand.
”On the other hand…” Slowly, with felinesque grace, she set her left foot slightly forward and brought the hilt of her blade up, gripping it firmly with both hands at chest level; most would not willingly utilize Ataru in such a confined space as an alleyway, but, then again, neither did most train themselves to use cramped quarters to their advantage. They simply tried to avoid them. The familiar snap-hiss of a lightsaber echoed in the alley, and the pale blue of the cyan blade illuminated any dark near her, contorting the shadows. ”From time to time, it is the path of might that will bear more fruit. I think we have spoken enough; it is time you showed me what you know of war.”
In a dark, silent blur, she threw her shoulders back and her body forward, twisting slightly as she closed the gap to just within striking range and brought the blade forwards and up in a heavy upwards slash, accented by the sharp hiss as the tip of the blade etched a faint line in the durasteel beneath the two in passing; quick and hard, but no more than a testing strike, aimed not at the body, but just short of it, to bring forth her opponent’s weapon. Not to kill, not to harm, but to learn, just as this entire duel was. Of course, the prospect of a good fight wasn’t all that bad, either. It had been awhile since she’d crossed blades with someone of real skill. She hoped the major proved a worthy opponent.

Aunna didn't move, she barely batted an eyelash as the woman spoke. Even as she dove toward her the major didn't move much...simply crouching more, ready to spring. Aunna had watched Vex's movements far to much...her eyes had adjusted to watching for the speed enhanced movements of force users like him, and so her move was easily readable. The cathar was testing her boundaries, so she didn't aim to strike. The blade of the saber hissed by her face, the heat from it causing the major to flinch slightly just to keep from blinding herself with the light of it as it passed her face. It wasn't until the movement was in full motion, and unable to be stopped easily that she struck out...still no weapon easily seen.
Her fist came across toward the woman's helmet, only to be stopped short as the opposite boot came up to kick at the cathar's stomach. Weather it hit or not, the major didn't wait to find out..she was already moving back and away from her opponent, turning around her to position herself in direct line of the door she aimed to get at. With the blockade of sith no longer in her way, the major positioned her feet for her next movement.

It was honestly quite amazing the way some people moved. The test had done exactly what it was intended to do, and the major had made her moved; well planned, and well executed. A good fighter probably would have been laid low. The woman knew what she was doing, as Dani had suspected. But Dani was not a good fighter.
She was more.
She was Sith.
Ballistic plate flowed around the blow aimed for her head, the rest of her body still somehow managing to continue the motion it had started, her off-hand releasing its grip from the hilt and folding vertically against her chest, catching the kick against the armored vambrace. Reversing her momentum with remarkable speed, and a little help from the force of the boot, she let her body twist away from the blow. But she didn't press the attack. Not yet. She simply turned to again face her quarry and deactivated her blade, once again letting it hang loosely at her side. If she wished to run, the Cathar would not stop her. If she wished to get help, it was of little consequence.
Anyone who stepped between her and the prey were fair game, and anyone not strong enough to stop her deserved their fate. It was no matter. She had the scent. The hunt had begun, and would not end until the prey was taken, or the hunter killed.
"Run, Borgonia, if that is what you think best. I will follow."

Aunna found herself in a tough situation now...run, and possibly receive the help she needed to keep herself safely here on Manaan and risk others lives...or she could allow herself to be captured and take a risk that she might end up dead...or worse. Snorting, Aunna made her decision. She wouldn't run, but she wouldn't just let herself be taken either. The major had no doubt that the woman would follow her, what every the cathar's reasons for trying to get her in the first place...all she could do was trust that someone would try to find her eventually.
I won't run...but I won't let you take me easily Cathar.
With that said, she repositioned her feet and glared at the other woman, daring her to come again. Playtime was over....and she knew, for some reason, that Vex wasn't going to be around to help this time.

Dani chuckled softly as she raised a hand to her neck and unsealed the helmet. Slipping it off, she hooked it securely to her belt and set herself. The face beneath mirrored her voice; there was no malice, no anger, no bloodlust. Patience. Composure. Her yellow eyes held only focus, calm. If not for the aura surrounding her, it was not, in all honesty, the kind of face most would suspect or fear.
"So be it. I would be disappointed if you did."
She did not, however, activate her blade again. This time she started forward slowly, taking her time to close the distance. As soon as she was a few feet out of striking distance, however, she became a blur of movement, starting as she threw herself forward, rotating her torso in the small distance easily, contorting herself almost unnaturally as her plated boot came around and in front of her, lashing out at the side of the major's head; a feint, and little more, aimed more at restricting her opponent's choices of movement than at causing harm. Further combining momentum and heavily trained mastery of her body, her form continued its rotation and, followed seamlessly after the first strike, the true strike came; her other boot shot out ramrod straight towards her target's sternum with enough force to break bones.
No longer were her blows intended to test the water. Now they tested capability.

The watched each other for a moment until the woman came closer. She approached slowly, gracefully, but Aunna wasn't going to buy in. Sighing slightly, the major brought an arm up to block the supposed first kick, but found it to be a feint. The true strike came from the opposite foot straight toward her chest. Aunna's motion seemed to blur for a moment, and with a soft sound of metal moving, the cathar's boot met with the pole of her spear. Already the energy had begun to crackle around the tip of it, but the major didn't even notice by now. Turning away from the offending boot, Aunna brought the spear up and around her head swiftly, her motions seeming to once again be normal, and she brought it down to strike at the outstretched leg of the woman, the electricity crackling in arcs of light around the spearhead.
That was one good thing about how she'd made her weapon...even if one didn't hit directly, if the blow was close enough, the electricity from the spear could numb skin...numb enough skin and it might be helpful. It was with this in mind that she allowed her spear to sweep past the cathar's leg, the strands of electricity arcing out toward her leg. Armor or no, it would give a nice 'zap'. Darting backward slightly, the major brought around the butt of her spear toward the open back side of the woman's head, aiming to strike a true hit.

She’s quick. And cunning.
Good.
As soon as she felt her boot contact something, something much harder than flesh, she had already begun moving again. Using the sudden stop in momentum, she let gravity do its job as she twisted her lower body back towards the ground with cat-like grace. She was, however, momentarily surprised as an electrical shock passed through her armor and lanced up her lower leg. But not surprised enough, and having trained with beings of immense Dark power, she was no stranger to electricity far more potent than that, and with countless years of training, molding, and learning her body, she didn’t need to feel a part of her body to know exactly where it was. Not even slowing at the arc of pain, she gave enough time for one foot to find the ground beneath before, using the Force to augment her movements to levels not physically possible by natural means, she just barely brought her head underneath the back end of the oncoming spear, hooked one hand up to catch the spear and push it past herself, snapped her off-hand forward at the side of the major’s neck, and the carotid that lay beneath, and drove her knee up hard at a small spot just beneath the kidney.
No movement, no attack was intended to inflict more damage than necessary, or to kill. When used properly, each was a precise strike aimed at a vital point intended to rapidly disable the target. Painful, yes, but nothing that would damage her quarry. Dani was a professional, and she saw no use in causing permanent damage unless necessary. So far, it hadn’t been necessary. Only time would tell if that would change, just as it would show her opponent’s mettle.
And just how many tricks she had up her sleeve.

Aunna huffed slightly as the spear went over the female's head, but it didn't truly surprise her. What DID surprise her was the next two motions. She barely managed to avoid the first by ducking under it, her motions speeding up slightly through the force. She was no force user, true, but her body seemed to have a knack for tapping into it when it was most needed. As the woman brought her knee up, however, Aunna managed to twist out of the way just enough to allow the hit to catch her ribs instead of the gut, which would have caused her to double over. True, this was painful...she'd felt at least one rib crack, but she could still continue her movements instead of dropping to the ground.
Continuing her twist around, Aunna allowed the momentum to bring her around the back of the sith before shoving her spear in the direction of the back of her ribs, hoping to get a good hit in. She doubted it would happen, however, so she immediately followed the motion up with a movement of her hand up under the helmet, hopefully causing it to come off. Some part of this woman needed to be vulnerable, and the easiest part to get out of its shell...the head.
((i'll let you catch her soon so we can be on with this.))

She hadn't noticed at first, hadn't sensed anything different about the major, but as time went on...Dani became more and more sure of it. Yes, this Borgonia woman was a Force adept...not strong enough to be a serious threat, no, but the connection existed all the same, and it was giving the major an edge she wouldn't have otherwise possessed. Still, she had potential, and a connection to the Force, even one as small as her quarry's, would prove most beneficial in the end.
Don't get ahead of yourself...you haven't won just yet.
Turning away from the woman, Dani twisted her torso around, her lower body following barely a second behind, snapping her arm out sidelong, catching the spear three-quarters way up the haft with the back of her off-hand before it had the chance to connect, battering it stiffly away from its intended target. Not even slowing, her main hand came up to stop the new threat, grabbing at the topmost half of the major's hand, twisting towards the major, and pushing down with considerable force. Simultaneously, her lower body came into play as it came fully around as she drove her knee forward, aiming a few inches above Borgonia's navel. Continuing the motion, she thrust her head forward like a hammer, the major's temple being the anvil.

As her spear was swatted away, Aunna noticed the subtle movements of her opponent preparing to strike. She noticed the way the Cathar's body moved to use her head as a battering ram for her, and Aunna dodged, unfortunately, she hadn't taken into account the knee that came up sharply just below her ribs. With the force of the blow, Aunna doubled over, the wind knocked out of her as she fell to the ground, her knees hitting the pavement below with a loud thud. Gasping and trying to get her air back, she knew that if she wanted to live and possibly get away from this whole mess, she should stop trying...now. She was already injured enough...besides, there was little more the major could do with her sudden lack of air supply from the blow to her stomach.

Dani took a single step back as her opponent fell and waited a few seconds. When the major didn't make an attempt to stand again, she knelt and unsealed her helmet, setting it on her knee. She leaned down slightly. "Finished?" She asked simply, no satisfaction, no arrogance or condescension in her voice; she'd simply done what she'd come to do. She'd finished the first leg of the journey, passed the first quarter mark. From here on out, it would get progressively easier until the end, unless there were unforeseen complications, then it had the potential to get very difficult, but the end was the entire reason she was doing this. Hopefully, they would send their elite to follow their trail; she'd probably feel a little insulted if they didn't. Pulling a pair of durasteel binders from her belt, she stood up and moved behind Borgonia, reaching for her wrist to cuff her. "It is time we left this place; we have a ship to catch. Can you be silent as I carry you out of here, or must you be unconscious for the journey to go smoothly? It makes little difference to me either way, but I believe you may find one more preferable."

Grunting, Aunna simply allowed herself to be restrained, her chest still burning from the lack of air and the force of the impact to her stomach. Her few other injuries, such as her knees, were trivial to her, though they still warranted a part of her mind to mull over the pain coming from them. She did not, however, deign to reply to the sith's question, instead choosing to glare at the woman from the corner of her eyes and bide her time.
((i'm sorry the reply sucketh. v_v))

”So be it, but if you attempt to draw attention, I will be forced to hurt you again. There is no need for that to happen.”
Standing again, the Cathar took another look around the alley and narrowed her eyes. It wasn’t often she actually wished to leave a trail, a way to be found, but…that was the entire reason she was doing this, in the end. Sighing softly, she pulled of her left gauntlet and the glove underneath, drew the small blade resting horizontally on the back of her belt, brought it to the exposed flesh, and made an incision along the inside of the thenar eminence, deep enough to bleed. Outstretching her arm, she squeezed her hand into a fist, a small pool of blood forming on the ground before her, along with a few shavings of the short fur that lined her body. Pulling a small torch from her belt, she cauterized the wound, never once making a sound or showing any signs that she felt any pain. Pulling her armor on again, she turned back towards the major. ”Let us see how good at their jobs your friends truly are. Now, to get you through security.”
Pulling her helm back on, Dani closed her eyes, instead allowing herself to ‘see’ Borgonia through the Force, concentrating on her essence, every small oscillation of energy, even kinetic, that she gave of, until she had a strong picture of the woman in her mind. Taking in a deep breath, she concentrated further. Though she frequently made use of this ability on herself, it had been quite some time since she had attempted to use it on another being. Slowly, the light around Borgonia shifted, changed shape…bent, before all at once, even to herself and Dani, the woman was completely invisible to the naked eye, even her clothing and all she carried, as if she were using a high-quality stealth field generator. Unlike a generator, however, she was also invisible to thermal sensors, not just the eyes of men. But Dani could still ‘see’ her. ”There. That should help.” Grabbing the major by the arm, she pulled her to her feet, set her shoulder against her stomach, wrapped an arm around her thigh, and lifted her over her shoulder. Taking only a second to steady herself, though the major weighed nearly as much as she did, she started back to the dock from whence she’d come. It was time to get off this planet, and as soon as they were out of Manaan’s sensor radius, it would be easy enough to divert course to Nar Shaddaa.

Glaring daggers at the Cathar, Aunna watched silently as she left what would be enough to form more than a steady set of clues to go on. After this, she completely made the woman invisible, with what only seemed to be a thought. If the major were surprised by any of this, she didn't show it, only a clear form of contempt as she watched herself vanish from sight. At being hoisted up, Aunna thought to bring her elbow into the back of the woman carrying her, but reminded herself that not only were her hands bound behind her, but anything she might do from now on might prove to be the death of her...though for some reason, she didn't entirely think that this woman wanted her dead either. Huffing loudly enough to warrant attention, Aunna wondered just why everyone seemed to be interested in making her life more difficult. It was as if some strange and twisted higher power wanted to make her suffer. Saying nothing, the woman simply allowed herself to be carried along, though she did her best to make herself as heavy as possible for the dark jedi/sith/whoever or whatever she was, carrying her.

Keeping the majority of her concentration on the major, so as to not slip up and allow her to be seen, Dani hardly noticed the numerous strange looks she received as she walked through the streets of Ahto City. It appeared as though she was carrying something, and her movements showed it wasn’t particularly small, but no matter how hard people squinted, or how far they tilted their heads, they saw nothing over her shoulder. Not that she really would have cared if she’d noticed, anyways; the opinions of others had never been a very big factor in her mind.
Slowly, but steadily, the Cathar wove her way through the crowds, using the ample bodies to hide from any eyes that might cause trouble. Civilians just didn’t care enough to take the time out of their day to investigate something so seemingly minuscule. The sith didn’t tend to care too much, either. The Republics, however, had a nasty habit of sticking their noses in other people’s business, as did the Selkath authorities. They could be most inconvenient, at times. Still, she’d spent a lifetimes going unnoticed by individuals far harder to deceive than foot-soldiers and giant fish, and it wasn’t terribly long until she reached the civilian hangars. Paying no mind to the security system guarding the entrance to her ship’s dock, which would only see one humanoid entering, as per the schedule, she simply walked inside, made her way up the boarding ramp of the small transport, and into the empty cargo bay, where she promptly, and none too gently, dropped Borgonia, instantly taking her concentration off the woman. ”Not much longer now, and your part in this will be finished. Behave, and I guarantee you'll not be further harmed by my hand.” Turning on her heel, she stepped outside and started for the cockpit, sealing the door behind her.
The cargo bay, while possessing full life-support systems, held virtually nothing else. The only thing within the ten-foot square room was Borgonia herself; no crates, no luggage lay inside, and nothing rested on the dull durasteel walls save for one small control panel beside the door and a small vent just below the ceiling, though the panel itself had been rendered completely inoperable by a lightsaber, and the vent wasn’t even a foot wide.
Setting the major’s weapon against a panel inside the cockpit, the Cathar leaned against the bulkhead inside the door, listening to the chatter of the ship’s communications, waiting patiently as a small screen indicating the current fuel level flashed silently. Within minutes, the light stopped as the indicator reached its peak mark. Punching in a short code alerting the ship’s onboard AI to her readiness, the communications terminal again chirped to life, sending an automated message to the harbor’s flight control, where it waited for a reply. After a confirmation was received, the ship initiated takeoff, and started its journey to Bothan Space. Or, at least, that’s where it would head until it was out of the system. Then it was on to Nar Shaddaa. With any luck, it was the first place anyone looking for their precious major would go. If not, she’d have to be a little more blunt.
