Ambria had just sat down at a table by herself when suddenly everyone around her was standing up and saluting. Quickly, she dropped her fork and also stood, turning around to see what was the matter. Ah, a superior officer. Slapping off a quick salute of her own, she sat back down to her meal, hoping that nothing else would happen so she could enjoy the food in peace.
But that wasn't to be; a loud crashing sound could be heard from the same direction she had been looking just moments before. Instinctively, she ducked. But when there was no continuing thuds or explosions, she gathered that it wasn't a bomb. So Ambria turned around in her seat to glance back behind her to see some giant monstrosity of metal stuck in the doorway. She couldn't even begin to think what it was. It was obviously busy in conversation with the officer and another woman Ambria also didn't recognize. But this was her first day here, so she wasn't likely to recognize most people, if any.
Seeing that the trio was finally settled down on the other side of the room with their own meals, Ambria put them out of mind. Which was a bit difficult with the big... machine's booming electronic voice. Whether or not he was actually speaking loudly or not, she didn't know.
She crossed her legs and bent over her food, spooning it in and trying to think of other things. To think of what was coming and when she would meet her new CO and the rest of her unit. Ambria was anxious to get started again. While it was nice resting here at the HQ barracks and all, she was eager to get back into the fight.

Bane gave a slight nod of his head in acknowledgment at Italia's statement.
"Its is good to have you on board, if you will excuse me"
He suddenly got up, and walked towards the south end of the mess hall. He had noticed her earlier when they originally entered the mess hall, and only just realized why she stood out...she was new to the unit. Many commanding officers these days didn't even know who was under their command, Bane knew every soldier in his unit.
He stopped next to where Ambria was sitting, and noticed she had the stripes of a 2nd Lieutenant.
"Soldier! Report!" he barked in his gruff voice all of a sudden

Not generally one given to being surprised and other girlish hysterics, Ambria jolted upright, her fork clattering to the table before she quickly stood up. Swallowing loudly, she turned to see who was addressing her. The officer who had come into the mess hall with the woman and the... thing.
She saluted smartly, standing a bit awkwardly between the table and its accompanying bench. "Sir!" she answered in her brisk but slightly husky voice, trying not to let any eagerness show through. She was an officer now herself. "Second Lieutenant Ambria Arcane."
So this was the way it was going to be. Not even able to finish her dinner, and she was already going on assignment. Ambria studied the man before her. Besides his obvious rank and bearing, she deigned a certain intelligence behind his eyes. But she couldn't determine anything from his stance about his personality. Whether he would be one of those types that was hard to please or one that was more easygoing but ready to switch into battle mode when it was necessary.

Arkandos watched bane absentmindedly and heard him tell a soldier report before turning his attention to Italia. "Are you sure you wouldn't want some Beskar armor?" he said before laughing. "Yes you are indeed a true mandalorian guns first, I'm sure we can find you something around here." Ark scanned his memory before shaking his head. "Actually I think I have a few weapons that might interest you even in they are old and past their prime." he said sighing slightly. "So, who beeped." he asked innocently gesturing at her.

Italia chuckled at his words, despite herself. Well, that was a high compliment from someone who knows how much older than herself.
Old doesn't necessarily denote uselessness.
She replied with a nod of her head as she watched Bane stand up and walk toward another young woman. This other was so stiff Italia was surprised she managed to not fall over...perhaps her armor needed oiling? Chuckling at her thought, she became more somber at Ark's question. Waving a hand idly, she acted as if it were nothing severe.
Bah, transportation report.
She stated calmly, as if it were simply that. Unfortunately, it was much more devastating to her...it was an official statement from the republic transport officials that her father's ship had been attacked and destroyed by pirates.

"Your lying." is all arkandos said at her reply to his question as he looked to the woman reporting to Bane. "I suppose that is our new replacement. I wonder if I should go socialize?" he ask italia not really paying a lot of attention as ran his left hand across the table. "I still have some of my old arms I could lend you if you'd like them." he said changing the subject abruptly.

Sighing, she nodded, not really wanting to lie to him.
I am. I'm sorry Ark but....well...I'll tell you later, just...not now, alright? I promise.
She said, and rested her head on her hand, watching the exchange between the two officers. Sighing, he put a hand on his...god it was huge...to stop him fiddling with the table and as a form of comfort. Poor guy seemed a bit awkward at times...but then again, what did she expect from a giant cyborg?
Well, if you want to go socialize, I'm not going to stop you...if not, that's your choice as well. As for your arms...I'll take whatever is offered vod. I'm sure it's better than what I've got.
She stated, thinking over the fact that her weapons were no longer in the best of condition even though she'd taken good care of them. Regular ware and tear tended to do that to such things.

Bane returned the crisp salute with one of his, relaxing his posture ever so slightly.
"At ease Soldier. It is good to have you with us in Special Operations."
Bane knew that he had interrupted the soldiers meal, and he knew how important a meal could be to a soldier.
"Finish you meal Second Lieutenant, and make sure you finish it all, who knows when we will have ourselves another good old Mandalorian meal. Report to the War Room at 2100 hours."
With that he turned around and made his way to towards the mess hall entrance. He stopped just at the entrance and turned around quickly and shouted.
"Ark!Firians! War Room at 21:00."
He didn't wait for a response but turned back around and quickly made his way down the hallway towards the exit of the Spec Ops HQ. It was currently 18:00 which gave everyone three hours to do what they wanted to do and get themselves ready for the mission. Bane knew time was critical but if he pushed his soldiers too far too fast, they would make mistakes later, mistakes they couldn't afford.
Bane exited the HQ and saw a corporal waiting for him at the entrance, who snapped off a quick salute. Bane returned the salute and ran down a list of things which he needed.
"Corporal. I want all the gear and necessary equipment for the Coruscant mission ready in the next hour. Make sure that all the necessary blueprints and schematics are in the War Room. Also see if you can't find me a whet stone, my blades are starting to get dull. I will be in my quarters, contact me if anything should come up."
Bane pivoted and walked back into the HQ once again and towards his quarters. He was hoping that he could fit a quick nap in, but that didn't seem very likely.

"Yes, sir," Ambria repeated after she relaxed her posture a bit. Well, as well as she could stuck yet between the table and bench in the mess hall. Her new CO didn't seem like he would be all that hard to get along with. Perhaps a bit stiff and by-the-book, but he also looked like he would be able to relax, if he had to. Though, all she knew about him was his rank and that he was in charge of the spec ops assignment she was going to be going on right away after her transfer. He hadn't even told her his name, but Ambria would learn that all in due time, she supposed.
Ambria nodded and tossed another salute as the colonel left. Three hours would be plenty of time to finish her meal and get back to her room. She still needed to go through her things and make sure they were all in working order and clean. And to stock up on supplies if need be. So she turned back to her half-eaten dish and quickly polished off her meal. Without being able to fight it, her biological leg was jerking slightly with the excitement to come. Someone with her status shouldn't be acting so, but Ambria couldn't help herself. Her first real spec ops mission!

Hearing the dismissal, Italia got swiftly to her feet once more and patted Ark's shoulder slightly before grabbing her pack.
I need to head home for the time Ark. Excuse me burc'ya...I have a lot to do in very little time.
She said quietly, and headed outside through the broken door frame.

After finishing off her meal, Ambria left the mess hall and, after only one wrong turn, found her quarters in the officers' area easily enough. She began rummaging around in her wardrobe and closet, pulling out and arranging her small arsenal on her bed. Blasters, carbines, a sniper rifle, a couple of vibro-knives all sat in neat rows on her cot. The young woman began the not so quick task of prepping her weapons, checking them for faults, cleaning them out, reinserting powerpacks and everything else she needed to do to get them all in perfect working order.
With the last powerpack snapped in place, a beautiful sound to her ears, she surveyed her work and was pleased. Ambria packed the weapons back into their cases for the ease of travel before turning back to her wardrobe. Her armor would need a little shining up. She would keep most of the dents and dings but thought it was best to remove at least some of the mud, blood and other fluids from the outside of it. Piece by piece, she scrubbed the amber armor clean.

Arkandos watched Lia leave the table and stepped out the door before bringing up his internal clock and excusing himself from the table. The door being much wider now he did not get stuck.

Returning nearly at the time limit, Lia slipped easily through the base's gate. Though she was sad about her father still, at least she knew that their mother would be taken care of.
Alright Lat, let's go. Ark...thank you again for coming with me.
She stated to the cyborg before turning and heading into the base through the still broken door. People from the base were now trying to fix it up at any rate, and she had to squeeze her way through them, waiting on the other side for Ark since she had no idea where to go next.

Bane made his way towards his quarter in a quick fashion, not one to waste time. Bane walked into his quarters, and looked around, for all intents and purposes it was a mess.
"It would be nice if I had time to get this place in order" he mumbled to himself.
Luckily, Bane didn't have to worry about getting his equipment ready, since it was all in order from the last mission. He noticed that there was a whet stone on the floor next to the door, and he gave grunt of approval.
Bane removed his vibroblades and laid them on the floor next to the whet stone. He then began to remove all his armor and placed them on the floor. He then went through the process of sharping his blade, working out the notches. This task took him the better part of an hour.
Bane laid his blades next to his armor, set an alarm, and rolled onto his cot and fell asleep instantly. He woke up to the sound of the alarm exactly an hour and half later. He walked over to the refresher and washed his face, which helped rid him of his grogginess.
He donned his armor, fastening it into place, and then placing the two blades across his back. He then walked out of his quarters, closing the door behind him. As he made his way down the hallway. returning the various salutes as he did.
Bane entered the dimly lit War Room, he was slightly early, so he hadn't expected anyone else to arrive yet. He knew his troops though, they would be here on time. He made sure that all the proper documents and materials were ready for the briefing.

Itani's feet hits the permacrete at the same moment Lia's, allowing the noise of the impact to mask his own; a little trick he picked up early on in his career. He smiled at her words, Lat was another nickname she had for him, his middle name, it made remembering their names that much easier. She was Lia, he was Lat. He found it humorous that he could move around people with such a higher degree of ease than his sister. "Must come with the territory", he thought.
"I suppose the stereotypical question I can ask is, what can I do for the military? Are they short of assassin recruits or is this considered the draft?"
Lat looked towards Lia, half not expecting to receive an answer. He noticed a change in her the moment they reached the compound, her shoulders were straighter and she walked with more purpose. If that was any indication of what was to come it certainly means he wouldn't be without entertainment.

Ark slowly slipped through the door once the repair crews slipped out of the way and strode into the main base complex. At least their making the entrance bigger he thought to himself as he turned his photoreceptors to the door and then to the brother and sister waiting on him. "Come I'll take you two to the Operational Head Quarters." he said gesturing for them to follow him has he thudded past. The journey was a short one and they where soon standing out side the small heavily reinforced bunker in the center of the facility. "Here we are." he said gesturing them in as he crouched down besides the door. "I'm afraid I can't bust this one even I'm not strong enough to break half a meter of durasteel reinforced Duracrete sandwiched in beskar."

With the last finishing touches done to her armor so that it shone and reflected the small amount of moonlight pouring through her window, Ambria stood up to survey her work laid out on the cot before her. Weapons cleaned and armed. Armor polished and in working order with her fresh rank bars attached to it. Medical supply pack stuffed full and ready. Now she only had a few more things to do finish up before heading out to the war room. Her chrono was indicating it was time to move. Especially since she had given herself some extra time to find the war room.
The young woman stripped down to her undergarments and replaced her dress uniform back in her wardrobe, pulling out some simple leggings and a dark tunic. All that she would need to wear under her deep amber armor for it to be comfortable. Quickly changing, she began slipping on her pieces of armor: boots, arm plates, leg plates, all of it. Finally, she set her helmet on her head and enabled the HUD. Hopefully it would help her find her way more efficiently. She shouldered her med pack and grabbed her two weapons cases, one in each hand and set off away from the living quarters.
Quietly, after a wrong turn and asking another officer, Second Lieutenant Ambria Arcane came across the war room, even with all the armor she wore. Striding forward towards the armored entrance, she again noticed the huge metal... robot with a brain and the woman from earlier standing near the door. But this time they were joined with a man who looked similar to the woman. The big monstrosity was crouching but still looked formidable, so Ambria hurried inside the war room, seeing her as yet still nameless Colonel already inside. She quickly stashed her weapons cases near the wall at the back of the room before turning to face her new CO.

Following after Ark, Italia turned to her brother and shook her head.
I don't think so, no, this isn't the draft. I don't know what they'll use you for Lat, you'll have to ask Bane.
She stated, as she listened to Ark, and watched him crouch beside the door. Furrowing her brow, she pushed Itani through the door before her, scooted in behind, and stood beside the door jam, just inside the room, where she could still see and speak to the cyborg. It would have been rude to stand outside with him while Bane was trying to address them, but it would have been equally wrong to just leave the man outside by himself, so...she settled for a medium....well as best as she could anyway.
Smiling at the cyborg for a moment, she pointed Itani in the direction of the other man in the room, Lieutenant Colonel Bane. Glancing about the room, she noticed another woman enter the room and pass her. Nodding, she allowed the woman by. Without so much as a nod or a word, the woman passed by. A bit miffed, but choosing to not make a deal out of it, Italia simply sighed and shook her head before returning her attention to her brother.
That's him. He's...Lieutenant Colonel Bane...I believe that was his title. Go introduce yourself and tell him you're with me. Go. Now.
She stated, detaching her helmet from her belt and setting it beside her with a sigh. Leaning against the door frame, she rubbed the back of her neck, feeling her tension there slowly building up again. Settling her feet shoulder width apart, Lia folded her arms across her chest once again and rested her head back against the wall as she waited.

Without much warning Itani was hustled into the intelligence room of the complex, several soldiers stood guard and there were several others who appeared just as imposing as Ark without the armor. Lia pushed him onward saying to go introduce himself.
Giving his sister a nervous shrug Itani strode forward. This certainly was unusual. First impressions weren't his thing. Period. More often than not it was only a few moments between when he had told someone his own name and their mortality. He felt almost out of place as well, his armor wasn't as bulky or well adorned as the others present. Not only that he was practically unarmed. Steeling his resolve he approached the man Lia mentioned, Bane.
"Lieutenant Colonel."
He saluted, making sure he had paused just long enough for the man to notice him.
"Itani Firians, brother of Italia Firians, is at your service. She said that you might require my abilities."
Dropping the salute he stood in a nervous silence, waiting for Bane to speak.

Bane looked up as everyone made their way into the war room, well with the exception of Ark.
I am going to have to get this place renovated just for him shaking his head at the thought.
He returned Ambria's salute crisply and then made his formal introduction.
"I didn't get a chance to introduce myself Second Lieutenant Arcane. I am Lieutenant Colonel Bane Haseful, commander of the special forces. As I stated in the mess hall, it is good to have you on board, your skills will not be lost in Spec Ops."
He looked up as he saw another new face, this one was apparently the brother of Italia, he returned the salute quickly.
"I am sure that if you are anything like your sister, we will have a use for you. Just so I can clarify if you have a use or not, what exactly is it that you do?"
It looked as if they had another member to the squad, this was going to be an interesting mission to say the least. Bane respected professionals and he didn't doubt that either of the Firian's skills.
