Itani barely held back the sigh. This Bane fellow wasn't so bad. Sure he held a position of control but, at least from outward appearance he wasn't drunk with his own power. Ah, the memories of those who had been. Perhaps he wasn't ready to give the life of a killer after all. His voice confident and honest he listed his abilities to Bane.
"Formally I can accredit myself with a wide range of stealth and reconnaissance skills. Aside, I am proficient with the use of vibroblade as well as a hacking spike. Informally, sir, I am an assassin. The ability to kill without alerting attention to oneself is a desirable service in this galaxy of ours."
He took careful consideration of the use of the word. In numerous circles the mention would result in death.
"Until Italia requested my help I was a hired gun. I hope you will have a use for me."
Turning his head slightly he caught Lia's eye. The hint of a grin crossed his face before vanishing again. He would have to thank her more completely if this conversation bore fruit.

They had been given some down time after their successful mission, and Trin wasn't one to take that for granted. Once the team had arrived at HQ, she went straight to her quarters and took a long and well deserved nap. After that, she had cleaned herself up, and organized her gear. On their last mission, they hadn't really gotten to wear their armor, so Trin's was still nice and clean. The crimson armor still had a nice gleam to it, the orange accents finishing off the detail. The boarwolf crest was displayed proudly on the right shoulder, with the Spec Ops insignia on the left.
Trin put the armor on, and became even more relaxed. She belonged in this armor. She then turned to her desk, where her gear had been laid out earlier for cleaning and maintenance. She methodically placed it all back in the pack. The final two touches were her blaster pistols, which were fitted into their holsters on her thighs. With a contented sigh, Trin was ready.
Helmet under one arm and her pack slung over the other, Trin made her way to the mess hall. She knew they wouldn't have too much longer before heading out again. She didn't know what this next mission would be, but she knew that it would again require quick, surgical precision. A smile crossed her face at the thought. It was right up her alley, she could be sure of that. Getting her meal, Trin sat down and quickly ate up. She wanted to be ready as soon as they were called.
Speaking of being called, an announcement came over the PA calling the Spec Ops team to the war room in five minutes. Finishing off her drink, Trin stood up, left her tray at the washing station and moved quickly down the hall. Turning a corner, the unmistakable figure of Ark stood crouching near the doorway to the war room.
Got a good view from here? She asked as she approached, a smile on her face. Trin and Ark didn't really know each other. She had only just met him on the last mission, but Ark was a good character, and so Trin was happy to see they'd be working together again. She slid past the cyborg and into the war room. Inside was Lt. Col. Bane, and three others she didn't recognize. After setting down her pack, she saluted.
Corporal Velos, reporting.

He gave a quick return salute to Corporal Velos and then turned back to address Itani.
"Well an assassin, you should fit in quite well with Spec Ops. As I told your sister before, you are not being recruited into the army. You are welcome to stay as long as you like, but if you do anything to comprise my squad's safety...." He left that thought hanging there, his meaning was quite clear.
He then hit a button and a holograph of the Basilisk war droid appeared in the center table.
"This is the Basilisk War droid, for those of you who didn't know. A powerful weapon that was used by Mandalorians a good while back. There is only one known Basilisk, and it is housed in republic museum on Coruscant. If we can capture this model, we will be able to manufacture them, or so the brass tells me."
He then hit another button and the holograph of the Museum replaced that of the Basilisk.
"The Basilisk is located in the west-wing of the Museum...here" he stated as he pointed out where it was on the holo.
"Alright, Itani and Italia, I was assuming that both of you have smuggled cargo before or know how to get on and off a planet as quietly as possible. Do you think that you can get us at least on planet without much trouble?
Getting on Coruscant is the easy part of this mission. The next step is to steal the Basilisk droid from the Museum. Then finally get it onto a ship and then get off planet.
I have a few ideas of my own, but I am not perfect and we are a team. If anyone has any ideas for any aspect of this mission, then the floor is yours, speak"
Bane then took a few steps backwards and gave the others time to think about the mission.

As she watched the interaction between Bane and Lat, she smiled. Good...maybe he'd come to his senses with this job. Settle him down a bit and keep him out of...well...death, or perhaps worse. There wasn't much worse than death...dishonor being one of them, and being an assassin could bring a person to that after long enough. Yes, the hunt was good enough, but...She let that alone again as another member entered. Another woman? Well then, perhaps this wouldn't be so bad after all? The team was balanced now and that was always a good thing. It gave her more options to work with if a cover was needed. Looking back to her brother, she caught the ghost of a smile and she beamed back at him. No, this might turn out to be a good thing after all.
Blinking at the table as the holo of the droid as the lights went out, she narrowed her eyes slightly. Italia had only ever heard the name spoken, but had never seen an image of one. The bloody thing was giant...big enough to ride. How were they supposed to get that thing off world without wreaking havoc? As Bane continued she blinked again. The museum? She'd gotten in there before once for a friend...that was NOT an easy hack....oh boy was this going to be fun...."enter sarcasm here"...she thought ruefully. Not only was she going to need to get Ark in, but it out?! Might as well tighten the noose.
Yeah. I've smuggled before, and I can get us on world. I've been there too many times to think twice about me requesting landing. For some reason they think I'm a repair service for one of the senators...
She stated with a mild shrug of her shoulders as if she didn't know EXACTLY why they thought that.
I'll have to get creative, but I might be able to get us off world without much hassle also....depending on what time of day we decide to...reclaim...our droid there. Also...if you don't have a plan on how to get in....
She paused a moment and glanced at her brother.
Lat, I'd need your help for this but....I've hacked that place before. Don't ask, I just have. It wasn't easy and it's a two person job, but I could most likely do it again if I had to. Though...I don't want to. That's a mean defense system they have and it likes to bite back.
She said, rubbing her left hand subconsciously.
The reason it's a two man job...well...one has to be on the inside, while the other takes care of the alarm system on the outside...obviously I can't be in two places at once.
Though....I wonder what we're going to transport that beast in? The Ghost Star's able to carry Ark here and all of us, but...with the basilisk?....do you know about how much it would weigh?
She asked before looking around as if sizing everyone up.
If you can give me an estimate my ship might be able to get us all there and back....
She stated scratching her head slightly as she continued to size everyone up before closing her eyes and starting her calculations.
Psst...Ark...how much do you weigh? 1100?
She whispered back to him.

"Thank you, sir."
Seeing through her 360 HUD display that others were now entering the room, plus that the man from outside was taking the Colonel's attention, Ambria walked a few paces away to give them privacy. She doffed her helmet and stashed it under her arm, not needing to shake out tangles from her hair because it was too short to move around in her helmet.
She turned back to face the Colonel when he brought out the hologram and started discussing their mission. Stealing a war droid from the Museum on Coruscant, the huge city capital planet: it wouldn't easy, not by a long-shot. And Ambria knew she was being optimistic about that. But she also knew that Mandos were always defeating the odds.
Ambria listened quietly to the other newcomer's plan for getting them on planet and into the mission. It all seemed very straightforward. Enough that it might just work. But even with the security systems down, there was bound to be some bodily security around as well. She took a couple steps forward, adjusting her amber helmet slightly to a more comfortable position. "If there are guards, I can take them out." The dark-skinned young woman nodded her head over to the back of the room where she had stashed her rifle cases. "Little to no mark or trace."

Itani nodded as Bane began the briefing, turned and walked back to Italia. It appeared that Ark was being serious. They were planning to "attack" Coruscant only not in the traditional way the word was meant. Saw the beauty in the Basilisk though, such a powerful creation yet so simple. As Bane and Italia spoke their ideas he found himself without one of his own. They were right about the initial stages; getting on planet. There was probably no moving equipment inside the museum, for one thing. How were they supposed to move it a foot much less to a landing zone. Ark was strong but he wasn't sure about that strong. Then there were the guards, the security system, and the time limit until reinforcements arrived. The few jobs he had completed on Coruscant made the true difficulty apparent in his mind. He nodded at Italia as she spoke, hacking was something he knew, and if she could get them planet side they would do the rest. He got an idea.
If we can get a ship on planet then why not two? Whats two more ships of the thousands that arrive hourly. Descend at different points in the day and at different locations and meet up later.
That may also be the way to get the Basilisk back off planet, someone must have a ship large enough to transport a basilisk. Furrowing his brow he looked at the hologram taking a count of dimensions.
"Also, there are a few contacts of mine on Coruscant who might lend a hand with a diversion but how large of a time window are we talking about? Seconds? Minutes?

Arkandos gave a nod to the young velos girl before blocking off the exit so he could actually see what was going on. "A dry basilisk weights almost fifty tons hopefully it's brain is still intact or we're going to have to drag it to a ship." He said as he answered Lia's first question. "As for I, with all my weapons about fourteen hundred fifty pounds." Ark leaned one his long arms across his knees. "What ever we do our entrance must be quite I will have to convince the droid to come with us if it is still active and that still will take nearly half an hour unless it is one of my squads old basilisks. What I am most concerned about is our exit in half an hour their sure to have civilian law enforcement there we will need a ship to meet us there or close enough that the Military can't respond after we punch through the blockade if we are to flee safely a very fast ship." Arkandos scanned over the assembled faces before sighing. "It would also be possible to air drop me several miles from the museum that would draw all the civilian and military attention well away from there."

A slight eyebrow raise was the only reply she gave to Ark's statement about his weight. It was hefty, but nothing her little Star couldn't hold. Swiftly tallying up her numbers, she was pleased with her findings.
Well...so long as all the math is correct, the Ghost Star can handle everyone plus the basilisk. She's a Lethisk-class freight and can hold 60 tonnes...if Ark is correct about the weight of the basilisk then all together we should weigh about 47 tonnes with armor, weapons, and supplies. She's got a good drive and has a class 1 rating.
Only problem would be getting her to the museum on time....
Italia bit her lip as she thought, not wanting to be too presumptuous on her ideas, but some kind of plan was forming in her head...slowly...but it was forming.
Half an hour or more....hmm....well...if we....Ark? How would you convince it to come with us if it's active?
Maybe we could get in before the museum closes...if you can convince it verbally then we could use a com-link and start trying to convince it while the museum is open. That will mean less time that people will have to react to what we're doing since we're not technically doing anything wrong by talking....right? It would also give the rest of us time to cause a ruckus elsewhere near by to draw attention or get into position to move it out of there.
While the museum closes, that one person can hide away....there are a few good areas to hide in there that the guards won't think to check...hopefully. By that time I could have hacked their system also and start feeding it a loop to keep the guards at bay and the rest of us slip in. If all goes well...we exit the back door in fifteen minutes with the basilisk.
I came here with another friend of mine...he could most likely handle the Ghost Star enough by himself to get her to us if need be. We all cram in and we're off with little resistance....hopefully...
She chewed on her lip again and sighed. It would be a lot of plain clothes work, but...it was a thought.
I mean...if that wouldn't work, let me know, right? It's....It's just a thought anyway...
She stated as an after thought, feeling rather foolish now that she thought the idea would work. Well...it very well COULD work, but she was unsure as to how the others who were actually part of the military would take to an outlandish idea such as that one.

"I'm afraid that won't work my dear, a basilisk is something like a loyal domesticated Kath hound and a four year old child simply speaking to it won't be enough to convince one to move for us, besides we will need to manually restart it's Data core and logic matrix's there isn't anyway the republic would be stupid enough to leave those operating." he said subtly shaking his head as he thought back. "I'm afraid I'm the only one I would trust activating one of those war droid and there is no way that I could waltz around a open museum." With a deep sigh he focused around the room. "I don't see any way we can really avoid that half hour gap."

Italia listened quietly and shrugged. Well, it was worth a try. Either way, it was a good thing they had Ark around or they'd just be bumbling about and...wait...WHAT?! Lia's mind came to a screeching halt as finally everything clicked in her mind. His 'squad's old basilisks'? How did he know so much about them anyway? None of that was in anything SHE'D ever read or heard about! Just how old was this walking brain?!
Blinking stupidly for a moment at Ark, she took a breath to ask him a question, then shut her mouth again. Just WHAT was she supposed to ask him? "Yes, Ark, how old is your brain?" Yes, Lia, that would go over well...he'd snap you like a twig. She thought, but turned to Ark again, that same puzzled look on her face as she crept closer to him and blinked...for all intensive purposes she looked like a child about to ask a question that might get them scolded, spanked, and put in a corner.
Ark? How old ARE you? I mean....the basilisk...squad....what....HOW....
Ending her broken stream of words, she smacked a hand to her forehead and groaned slightly.
...soooo confused....

Trin stood by while she listened to everyone's comments. She kept quiet as she mentally listed out their obstacles and their tools. Getting in, convincing the Basilisk to join them (the most interesting in her mind), and getting out. Simple obstacles, yes, but only in name. In practice, they were do or die. She smiled slightly. It was right up their alley. And their tools? Two ships, small enough to be inconspicuous, bu big enough to carry them all. Two hackers, herself and the civilian girl. A guy with connections, a second lieutenant who packed a punch, Ark the basilisk expert, and Bane to command it all.
Alright, so what does that give us. We have our in, and with a big enough distraction, our out. Just the convincing the basilisk seems to be the hardest step. She thought to herself. They couldn't dance around the thirty minute time problem. So busting in guns blazing wasn't an option.
Just then, the civilian hacker/smuggler asked Ark how old he was and a light turned on over Trin's head. She wasn't usually one to interrupt, but with an idea like this, how could she resist.
Ark. How would you feel about temporarily becoming part of the museum's display? She said, a mischievous smile crossing her face. She turned her head and stepped forward to address the whole group.
If we can get him in as a display item and get him close enough to the basilisk, he can communicate with it as soon as the museum closes. We can have one other hide inside until then. She said, nodding in acknowledgment of the other girl's idea. That person can help Ark and do the inside half of the security hack, while the rest fall into position outside. Once the two hacks are done, The Colonel and the Second Lieutenant can take care of any guards and we get the basilisk out while our distraction... She nodded at the other man in the room. ...is caused elsewhere.
Finished, Trin stepped back to the wall to allow the others to make their comments.

Bane listened quietly to everyone's suggestions, each idea had some merit. Bane made a quick mental note of everything, each suggestion could be incorporated to the overall plan.
He waited until Corporal Velos had outlined her idea, which was very much what he had already had in mind. He then stepped forward and addressed how this whole theft would go down.
"Alright, everyone keep in mind what Corporal Velos said, because it is the plan I have in mind. We will go under the guise of philanthropists, and 'donate' a 400 year old cyborg to the museum.
Ark will most likely be placed in storage or something of that nature, or immediately put on display. Either way he should be in the same wing as the Basilisk.
You said the security system is a two man job Italia, that means I want both you and Itani hidden inside the Museum so you can neutralize security. Remember, no ghosting guards until we have control over the security system.
Once neutralized, Ambria, Velos, and myself will take care of the rest of the guards. Ark does what he needs to do, so he can get that basilisk moving. Now of course the main problem here is getting the basilisk out without having all of the police force on us. We will need a distraction and it is going to have to be a couple minutes. Itani, I leave the distraction up to you, the proper funding will provided so you need not worry.
It looks like we have decided on what we shall be arriving and leaving on..."
He stopped for a moment, to give everyone time to soak in the plan. This was no walk in the park, even for all the missions Bane had been in, this was at the top of the list in danger.
"Italia and Itania, Special Operations is a volunteer outfit because only the truly dedicated can accomplish what we do. You know the mission, you have seen how tough it is...You can still back out now if you want, but once you are in then you are in until the end.."
Bane flicked a switch and the holo disappeared and the lights came back on.
"Any questions?"

Arkandos stared at lia for a long moment before laughing and reaching into the room to ruffle the young woman's hair. "I'll be three hundred and nightie-nine in a few days lia." Ark turned his attention to the young velos. "Yes, I suppose that would work they'd probably snap at the chance of getting a KLX-32a republic assault droid." he slid a hand along his head as he thought. "If they place me near enough I might be able to investigate the droid's condition before hand."

Ambria allowed a small smile to cross her face as Colonel Haseful outlined his plan, and she stood listening quietly. A chance to exercise her sniper rifle would be a great day indeed. She hadn't had much chance to do any long-range shooting on her last couple of missions, so this would be a great opportunity.
She just hoped that the Museum would buy their little ruse of donating the hunk of metal she now knew as Ark and that the two civilian newcomers would have a chance to hide somewhere where the guards wouldn't look during their rounds. But after that, it should be easy. At least, the part of taking out guards and any other people who were snooping around in other people's business. Namely, their business.
Getting the basilisk back onto the ship would be another thing entirely... But Ambria wasn't about to worry about it yet. They had to first capture the fool thing. Then she would worry about their escape.

Itani looked back at Ark again, truly a surprising development out of someone who was already quite unreadable. Not only was Ark housed in a KLX-32a assault droid, something the assassin had only read about, but he was nearly 400 years old. Immortality wasn't so unreachable after all... He looked back towards the hulking cyborg.
"You are full of surprises beskar'gam Ark.
Turning to Bane he smiled brightly.
No worries, you can count me in, vod.
Either way there was no way he would back down from this. It would be a chance to have a good time as well as help the cause. Another concern surfaced in his mind, Italia's armor was a bit bulky. There was no way they would let her into the museum in full combat gear, not only that but they would be able to see her easier. His was light and flexible, nearly invisible under baggy civilian clothing and he could keep his mask/weapons in the folds.
"I am concerned about our gear; scanners and pat downs should keep us from getting weapons in the door much less full suits of combat armor. Any ideas for circumventing that?"
If they were to be ready for anything then they would have to plan for all possibilities. It would be hard, yes, but the challenge was often the best part.

Gaping at what Ark had said, she had to remember to shut her mouth as his giant hand reached over to ruffle her hair. Closing it with a soft snap, she wondered just how he had managed to live that long, brain or not. Really! Nearly 400 years old?! Her mind reeled at the idea. Well, I suppose that's why he's so nice. He must think of us all as pups...even my grandparents would be pups to him! Good LORD I feel young now...as if I didn't feel young before.
After a few moments of blinking dazedly, a thought managed to fuzzily work through her confusion and surprise to realize what could be a slight problem.
Um...I'm all for this idea, but...if they would deactivate a basilisk, I don't think they'd allow a cyborg with a...well a cyborg with a working mind still in it into the building. I'd think they would check your status first Ark...I don't want them doing anything to you while we're not looking. Or WHILE we're looking for that matter.
She said, chewing on her lip slightly. Turning to Bane she nodded roughly.
I've come this far, I'm not about to back out now.
Glancing at her brother, she winked slightly.
Who said I needed weapons? All my tools fit in my pockets and aren't conspicuous. Besides, I'm not planning on wearing armor in there Lat...it would only get in my way this time around.
She replied to her brother's concern.
Anyway, I didn't think all of us were going in? If we must have weapons those creating distractions or coming in after us can bring an extra blaster for me or some such.
Italia added with a slight shrug of her shoulders.

Itani nodded, his concerns quelled. He knew that if there was anyone to handle what had to be done it was his sister. Looking back toward Bane he waited for him to continue. Still have to get my gear from the space-port since I will be a passenger on this trip. He hated the thought of being away from his ship longer than he had to, it didn't have a registered name, it was old and practically coming apart, but he put a lot of time and energy into keeping that ship in the sky.

Bane nodded, with these final suggestions the main plan of action had been outlined. There were some more specific details and specs that needed to be taken care of but the crux of the work was done.
"Italia is right. The only two going in will be you and her, Itani. Once the security has been dealt with, we can bring in any other necessary equipment. Though if we can get our hands on some museum worker uniforms, we could go in through the service entrance. From what I have understood, workers are only scanned on their way out. I suppose its is to watch out for any thievery."
He looked around at his troops, they all had that look of sheer determination in their eyes. He could tell from just that look that they would see this mission through until the end.
"It is now 2200 hours, we will disembark exactly at mid-day tomorrow. Everyone get rested and make your preparations, if you need me I will be in my quarters.
Dismissed!"
Bane remained in the War Room, he still had some details to take care of, not to mention run briefings for the other Spec Ops mission. Bane was weary and needed rest but his sense of duty and honor far outweighed his personal needs.

Ark was rather glad the young woman Lia was going to remain with them he had grown rather attached to her. When Bane dismissed them he gave a slight bow to the Commanding officer and then touched lia's arm lightly with his left hand. "If you come with me we could see if I have any bits of equipment you would like to borrow or have as the case may be." he said trying to make it clear with just his voice that he meant no harm or order with his words. "Besides I would enjoy the company for a while."

After making sure that her weapons and other items were safely stored away securely in the war room (she didn't feel the need to drag them all the way back to her quarters), Ambria made her way out of the doorway, passing by the mechanical thug giant on her way. Apparently, this robot with a brain was a part of their team. She shook her head, walking down the hallway. Ambria had seen some strange things after her arrival in the military, but this one took the cake.
After turning a couple corners, Ambria made it to the living area of the base and entered her room. She set down her helmet by her cot and began stripping off her amber armor. Once clad in a simple night shift, the dark-skinned young woman slowly climbed into her bed, taking a datapad with her.
Though she had been going on numerous missions for years, she felt that this night before would be different. She actually felt a little nervous and needed something to ease her mind before letting herself drift to sleep. Keying up a holobook she was slowly making her way through, Ambria settled in for a little reading before turning out the lights.
