((This rp is just what happened 10 years ago on Dantooine that changed Talgo's life forever))
The sun was iritating his eyes, shinning right into his visor. He raised a hand to block the sun's rays as he continued his hike up and down the hills and across the plains. The young Mandalorian was heading to an ancient stone circle that had been chosen as a rendevous point. He was to meet up with his father and another of their clan.
The light breeze was somewhat refreshing, the sounds of nature comforting. All at once, shattered. The crackle of blasterfire and strange humming- like sounds stood out above everyhing. Talgo began running, the sounds growing louder with each step. Stopping at a pass between two rocky hills, the young warrior saw the source all at once...
The stone circle, the one of the rendevous point, decorated with the corpse of a fallen brother. Right in the center two beings were engaged in a fierrce fight. A jedi and a mandalorian. Talgo was quick to reconize the mandalorian as his father, and just as quick to reconize the jedi as his enemy.
"Father! Hang on!", the young mandalorian shouted as drew his blaster rifle and fired.
Using the force, the jedi sent his father flying. Turning his attenting to Talgo, the jedi blocked each blaster bolt. The young warrior doged each blast sent back at him. Then, the jedi charged. Talgo took the empty clip out to reload, only to find he was out of ammo. He reached for his sword, but time would not allow it.
All at once, a blade of blue energy came at him. Talgo doged the slash only by centimeters. The jedi raised a hand, spread it outward, and pulled it to him swiftly. Talgo made for his pistols. Just as he gripped the handles, a large stone slamed into the back of his helmet. Talgo fell to the ground, clinging to consciousness. He heard his father comming back at the jedi. He struggled to lift his head up from the dirt.
Talgo saw his father strike and slash at the jedi with his sword, the jedi blocking each attack. Then, he saw an opening, and so did his dad apparently. The jedi growled in pain, a slash across his upper stomach. Red blood began to stain his robes. The jedi made to strike at the mandalorian's feet. The warrior jumped clear off the ground. the humming blue blade striking only the dirt.
Again the mandalorian wounded his foe, this time across an arm. Then, the unthinkable.
The jedi landed a blow so swift, it took the sword right out of the warrior's hands. Now his father was disarmed. Talgo expected the jedi to try and arrest his father. Instead, the defender of peace took up the role of executioner. The jedi striked the mandalorian across the cheast. Talgo watched in horror as his father fell to the ground.
As fast as he could, Talgo got to his feet, drew his pistols, took aim, and fired the most rapid barrage of blaster bolts he had in his entire life. He saw the jedi take hit after hit, his lightsaber shot right out of his grip. Talgo continued to fire, closing his eyes and yelling as loud as he could. Then, he stopped.
Talgo opened his eyes to find the jedi flat on the ground, face first in the dirt. Holstering his blasters, the young warrior ran to his father. Kneeling at his side, he turned him over. The wound was pretty bad. Talgo removed his helmet, and removed his fathers.
"T- Talgo?"
"Yes father, its me. Come on, let's get you to the transport."
Talgo watched as his father shook his head.
"The wound is a mortal one. It would seem my time is at an end."
"No! It can't be! You've been dealt worse."
"Hm, I no longer have the stamina of youth."
"B- But... it can't end like-"
Talgo was stopped by his father putting a hand on his shoulder. For the first time in years, tears came to his eyes.
"It can my son. You knew it could, and so did I. We both knew the risks."
"But even so..."
"Talgo... the time has come for me to meet the our brothers of the past. Your time will come eventually to."
"You will live on father. I will see to it that your legacy endures. Like the legacy of our clan, and that of our people, yours will live on forever more."
"And I wouldn't want it any other way."
Talgo looked at his father through wet blue eyes and slightly smiled, and the latter did the same.
"Goodbye, my son."
"Goodbye, Father."
Talgo watched as his father closed his eyes, and gently he lowered his head to the ground. He put their helmets back on and looked up to the sky, the sun beginning to set. As he looked out to the setting sun, Talgo wondered what was in store in the years to come.
