Daren thought for a minute, “I see what you mean, I’ve had those feelings before.” Daren looked to back into the ocean and smirked, “Down there is kind of interesting.” he said leaning over the bar and looking into the blue abyss. He looked to her wondering if she trusted him enough to go down into the cold dark blue seas. He was fairly skilled as a pilot but by far no expert. He could handle himself quite well under water and had been down there many times. He had been searching for a strange dark energy he felt in the dark depths of the planet’s ocean. He had gotten close before but was in unauthorized territory and turned back. Maybe with her help he’d finally find it? He didn’t know but it was worth a shot. He showed her the way and got up from the railing. “Shall we go then?”

Aunna blinked at him a moment and followed his gaze. He wanted to actually go down into the ocean of this place? Better yet, he wanted HER to go down there WITH him?! Oh he must have been on spice or something to think she would be that trusting....or perhaps stupid.
Heh...no thanks. It's fine talking to you and all, but I'm in no rush to get into a situation I can't get out of easily...thanks.
With that she was ready to go. This guy had some kind of problem...she didn't like this ocean for some reason, the surface of it was fine...it looked like any other ocean...but there was just something about it that made her skin crawl. She most certainly DIDN'T want to go down there...and NOT with someone she didn't know or trust. Ignoring his lead, she started to head in the direction of the base.
((feel free to stop her ^_^ ))

Daren looked to the sky instantly as the ship he had been seeing all day flew over the city. He could feel trouble on the ship. His hand automatically went to his lightsaber, he almost called Aun but he had to go. He ran back to his apartment and grabbed his robes, whoever they were he was going to give them the Dark Jedi treatment. He could tell he wouldn’t be able to keep pretending to be a normal bodyguard. He didn’t know who was on the ship but he didn’t like it. His master was asleep and he didn’t think he needed to be woken for this. He wrapped his robes around himself and raised his hood. He walked against the walls of the city sneaking into the alleys. The dark damp alleys dripping with water, he got to the end of the alley and looked up and around it. He jumped up and grabbed a pipe, climbing higher and higher. He pulled himself over the top and started walking across the rooftops. It was pitch black so no one would see him. Night comes fast during this time of the year, he looked down into the city and saw a group of five mercs walking down the hall. They looked like Mandalorains, just what they needed. He scoured the rooftops after them they were moving quickly through the city pushing people out of there way. They asked a droid about something, and moved on. Daren had little trouble keeping up with them. He jumped to the other side of the buildings and ran to them. He found them surrounding a woman, they had pulled out their weapons and were yelling at her. There was no way these were really Mandalorains, they may be wearing their armor but they weren’t that smart. Harassing people even at night in the open wasn’t that smart. Daren bent down and watched from above, this was going to be her true test.

As she walked back toward the base, Aunna got the odd feeling that she was walking into danger. Slowing slightly, she moved into the shadows of the buildings. Even as she did so, her feeling caught up to her in the form of several men dressed as Mandalorians. Cursing inwardly, Aunna blinked blue eyes at them as they began shouting at her in basic and broken Mando'a. The young woman knew then that they weren't mandos after all. Their armor wasn't even properly assembled from what she'd studied...it had gaps in it leaving exposed clothing, as if the armor hadn't been made for them. Growling to herself, Aunna warned them to keep away from her, and they laughed. If Aunna hadn't been irritated before, she was certainly angry now.
Glancing around, the young woman saw no way out so she grabbed for her combat knife that was strapped to her lower back, under her coat. As the first one lunged at her, she flipped the dagger into a backhanded grip and sliced at the man's elbow with a sweeping motion of her arm where the armor didn't quite meet. He lept backward, hissing in pain and holding his arm, as two others charged toward her. Ducking under the punch of one of them, she balanced swiftly on her right leg and kicked out at the knee of the other sending him stumbling backward as she stood once more and palm-striking the first in the chest to stop his next attack. With a swift spin, Aunna's dagger sliced across the neck of the man just below the hood. As he dropped to the ground dieing, his enraged comrades sprung forward.
Cursing aloud this time, Aunna knew that without her spear she'd not stand much of a chance against the stronger and better armored men. Despite this fact, Aunna refused to go down without a fight. Launching herself at two of the men she used her shoulder as a battering ram against them, sending them reeling away from her with the unexpected action. Now that she had an open rout of escape she took it....but it was a moment too late. One of the attackers had tackled her legs from behind and they both went crashing to the ground.

Daren smirked as he observed Aun from a crouched position. She could put up a good fight against the mercs. They weren't very well trained and would be no match for a well trained fighter. He watched until she was thrown the the ground by one of the men. She had killed one and three others remained besides the one that tackled her. This would be fuuuunnnn. Daren stood up to his full height and observed the fight slanting his head side to side. He turned around as the Cries of struggle grew louder. The mercs had picked her up now and were starting to drag her away. She kept fighting with all her spirit, the merc that held her profoundly bleed from his face. He had backed up to the end of the rooftop and now ran toward the fight diving doing a front-flip into the scuffle. In one fell move he pulled his lightsaber out with the force and activated it killing one of the mercs. The one holding Aun kept a firm hold on her and the remainder pulled out blasters. Daren's blue blade illuminated his face but not enough to revel his identity.
"Let the girl go and I'll spare your lives." Daren said in a calm and commanding voice. They held their blasters to him wavering in fear. They fired in unison and he blocked them with his blade. He then rose his left arm and in a crushing motion destroyed their blasters. He then threw the against the wall, turning to the last merc holding Aun. He walked slowly towards him as he backed her. He held a gun to her head otherwise she would have escaped by now. Daren rose his blade towards the man, "Let her go." He refused and Daren rose his hand and started to choke the man. He clenched his throat and dropped his gun. Daren presiested until the last gasps of air escaped his mouth. He turned to Aun his hood still risen hiding his face in the darkness, "Are you hurt?"

Aunna only barely heard the arrival of the new man as her head hit the ground painfully hard as her attacker and herself hit the ground. She barely noted the fact that one of the men had dropped to the ground dead beside her. Instead she twisted around, sitting up in the process, and tried to wrest one of her legs from his grip. The man did let go of her, but only for long enough for him to pounce on her upper half, knocking her to the ground once more, her head hitting the pavement once more. Hissing in pain and now slightly dazed and blinded from the hit to the head, Aunna felt herself dragged to her feet. As her vision began to clear again she felt the unmistakable cold of metal pressed to her temple that signified a blaster.
By now she'd heard the man's words and by his dress and the easily identifiable weapon he held, Aunna could only assume he was a jedi. Besides...she'd heard that dark jedi only carried red and orange sabers around, not the blue color she saw now. As two of the remaining three had their weapons crushed, and were tossed against a near by wall, the only man left was the one holding her. Grunting slightly, she struggled against the stranglehold he had on her neck before he shoved the barrel of the blaster further against her head again, reminding her that he could easily take her life. Huffing, Aunna glared dangerously and waited to see what this jedi would do.
"Let her go"
The man holding her refused the order by way of another rough shove of the blaster as she was forced backward another few steps. By now the man's hold on her throat was causing her lungs to burn from lack of air and her vision to dim around the edges. A slight gagging sound from the man behind her made Aunna pay more attention to her surroundings and she noted the jedi's tactic. Not knowing much about jedi, she didn't think much of his use of his using the force to choke the man behind her. As the blaster was dropped and she was released from the man's grip, Aunna stumbled forward toward the jedi before sinking back against the wall behind him and trying to regain her breath as she slid down the wall into a sitting position. Her vision blurred again and she couldn't see for a moment. Closing her eyes for a moment, she worked on breathing for a moment focusing on the humming of the man's lightsaber before another sound caught her attention...something distant, yet so close. It was that rebreather again!
Blinking her eyes open again, she noticed it was still night. A dark robed figure stood looming before her, red blade in a backhanded hold, bodies scattered around...cut down in the worst ways it seemed. The figure stood for a moment as that scintillating red blade withdrew into it's hilt before being stowed back in the folds of those dark robes. The figure turned toward her and she caught a glimpse of the man she'd seen in the bar, rebreather and all. He looked down at her for a moment before she felt her vision blur again.
When she closed them, Aunna tried to shake the feeling of foreboding once again. Her silent concentration was broken, however, by the quiet thrum of a lightsaber and a man's voice...no longer could she hear the sound of the rebreather.
"Are you hurt?"
Aunna's eyes opened once again, and she was looking up at a man holding a blue blade in his hand, but in nearly the same trappings and position as the man she'd seen just a moment before. Confused and still dazed slightly from the hits to the head and lack of air, Aunna blinked at him stupidly for a moment before shaking herself out of it.
I...um...yes....other than my throat where that pile of bantha poodoo was choking me and a few bumps to the head when he tackled me.
She replied a little rhaspily because of her sore throat. Still not daring to move because of the odd vision she'd just had, Aunna eyed the man warily.
Who are you? and....didn't you just...didn't you just have a red...no....never mind....
Aunna tried to shrug off the feeling again, this time as the fact that perhaps she'd hit her head a bit harder than she'd thought. She was seeing things...really...maybe she was going mad now. People didn't just up and start seeing and hearing things that weren't really there!

Daren stood above her listening to her ramblings in silence. She didn’t look to hurt, but she would need medical attention. He had a simple medical droid in his apartment he’d offer her. “I am a Jedi.” Daren said calmly, “Why were those men after you? You require medical attention let me help you.” Daren disengaged his lightsaber and put it back to his side. He heard some loud footsteps hurrying down the corridor. “More of them or police, either way it is trouble.” Daren lifted her up holding her bridal style and hurrying back to his apartment. He quickly locked the door and dimmed the lights placing her on the medical table. The droid began working on her and Daren believed she was passed out. He checked the windows and saw more mercs roaming the streets, “They won’t be leaving anytime soon, but why are they after someone so insignificant?” he said turning to her on the last word. He closed the shades and locked the windows with the storm shutters. He moved around his apartment and made sure no one was with them. He checked the windows again and the police forces were moving about as well. The streets were filled with gunfire and far off shouting and crashes. Something big was going down, he had to inform his master. He closed the curtain between Aun and the rest of the house. He activated the holocomunicator; Teth appeared cloaked as always. Daren could barely tell it was him till he spoke, “What is it my apprentice?” “Something is happening Mercenaries have been roaming the streets attacking Republic forces.” “Yes, I know I have foreseen much of what is happening, the police will stop most of them.” “What shall we do my master?” “Nothing, we shall wait for them to pass like the storms of the seas.” “As you wish, but what if they discover us?” “They won’t be patient my apprentice our time shall come.” The holocomunicator faded and Daren was left alone. He turned it off and felt a slight disturbance and returned to watching over Aun. His house was almost darker than the outside streets it would be pitch black if the medical station didn’t have lights. Daren had remained in his cloak and hood so in the darkness he was probably difficult to see. He opened the curtain and watched her and the droid from his standing position.

Aunna felt herself being lifted by the man who claimed to be a jedi after the light of the saber had been deactivated. At first she struggled slightly, not liking having been picked up, but after a moment she went still and simply focused on moving the air into her lungs past the bruised tissues of her throat. The light and sounds of the world around her dimmed as she felt her eyes closing against her will, but she felt tired and so she didn't fight the urge to sleep from her body. Her head came to rest against his shoulder. Despite the fact that she now knew the man to be a jedi, even her subconscious felt uncomfortable around him and her muscles stayed tensed even as she lost consciousness. As her mind wandered in the darkness of that state, it tried to puzzle out the images she had seen earlier in the day, and she found herself oddly comforted by the man she had seen in those odd visions, her muscles finally starting to relax.
As they reached his apartment, Aunna wouldn't even realize that she had been put down on a medical table, or anything else for that matter. There really wasn't much the droid could do; it gave her something for the pain, ran a few scans on her, put some kolto on the few open injuries she had after cleaning them, then shut itself down now there was nothing left to do. By this time Aunna had started to come around again, the cold metal of the medical table and the harsh light above her contrasted eerily with the darkness around the station. A shiver ran up her spin though she didn't move, just took stock of her surroundings suspiciously. This was a far cry from where she ever wanted to be. Aunna tired to avoid medical bays, she disliked doctors, hated the medical droids more, and this felt like the worst combination of all of them...it conjured up images of some evil scientist who could be lurking around anywhere.
Pushing that thought to the back of her mind, the young woman ran a cold hand along her face before pushing herself up into a sitting position. The bright light cast deep shadows along her form, emphasizing her figure and features despite her uniform. Blue eyes moved around the area until they stopped upon the darkened form of the man who had brought her here. In this light he most certainly DIDN'T seem the jedi type. Aunna gazed at him cautiously, her face turned away from him slightly so she was watching him from the corner of her eyes.
Who is he?...where the hell am I?....I'm REALLY not liking this situation...
These thoughts were meant for herself, but Aunna, not knowing her aptitude for the force, had broadcast them to him as well before she finally settled on a question to ask aloud.
Where are we?

“You are in my apartment; forgive the darkness, but it is necessary to conceal us.” Daren dimmed the light on the table and offered his hand, “I think it’s safe to let you off this table.” He helped her up and led her to a couch. He used the force and turned off the medical light and lighted a small light on the table between them. He sat in a chair across from her. “I suggest you rest here, it is far to dangerous to leave. The police are out in full force, something big is happening.” As if to confirm what Daren said a small explosion rocked the house. Blaster fire followed and then a sudden silence. This was followed by heavy footsteps climbing up stairs. Daren quickly shut the light off and pulled out his lightsaber skulking towards the door. The troops banged on the doors and yelled, “Leave this planet Republic dogs!” They went to ever door repeating the threat, Daren suspected it to be an empty one. They made it too his door and beat on it then screaming their command. Then the steps retreated and they went back onto the streets causing chaos. Daren returned to his seat and looked to Aun and the window, “Do you understand this madness?”

His voice through the darkness suddenly reminded Aunna of the man she'd met earlier and she cautiously took his hand allowing him to help her off the table. She had been about to reply to him when an explosion and blaster fire sounded not far off. Out of habit, Aunna slid off the couch and knelt on the floor as if ready for debris to come flying at them. Realizing her actions, Aunna huffed slightly and chided herself inwardly as she took her seat once again. Not long after the sound of footsteps and shouting came up the hall as men went through banging on the doors in the complex. Confused and concerned, Aunna's eyebrows knit together as they reached his door, shouting the same command, before passing it and leaving for the streets once more. Those weren't selkath officers...she could tell by the tone. As he returned once more to sit near her, the brunette shook her head slightly.
I have no idea. We've not done anything that I know of...
She replied, blinking a few times as she tried to figure out just what it was the republic might have done to start something like this on Manaan.
We need that kolto agreement renewed, and some picked up...that's the only reason I'm here, and my men have been with me all day. We've not had a chance to start any trouble, and they would know better than to start any.

Daren nodded and walked out the window, there was a small battle going on. The mercs weren’t very well trained but neither were the Selkath, Daren closed the shutters and returned to his seat. He closed his eyes trying to feel out around him. He figured the mercs probably were attacking the barracks because the explosions were moving farther away from them. Daren looked to Aun, “Those mercs came from off world, that I’m sure off. They aren’t well trained but I think they have plenty of numbers from the sounds of things. The Sith probably hired them to disrupt the kolto trade.” Daren then noticed that the explosions were coming from the opposite direction of the Republic base. They were coming from the Sith base? That didn’t make sense at all, why would they attack the Sith? “You should stay here it is far to dangerous for you to try to return to your barracks in your current state. I am going to go and try to help the Manaan police forces.” Daren stood up and gathered his things, he had some light armor that could fit over his cloak. He quickly snapped it on and his cape flowed on behind it and he rose his hood. He looked to her expecting her to try to stop him or go with him. He then pulled out his lightsaber and headed for the door.

The sith hired them?....
Aunna paused as she listened once more to the explosions. No, that wasn't right...why would the sith...
But those explosions are coming from the sith base....why would they attack their own base?
That's when it clicked for her.
Siths blood! They're framing us!
As he moved to get ready, Aunna was on her feet as well, her eyes flaming even in the dim light.
I'm coming with you. I have to try to get to the base and talk to the selkath ambassador there. Besides, I need to make sure that none of us are fighting right now.
She rasped through her sore and bruised throat as she caught up to him at the door.

Daren wanted to get to the Sith base, he was sure there would be some Dark Jedi there worth fighting but now she was going hold him up. "I can lead you to the office, it's on the way but I cannot accompany you. The Police forces will need all the help they can get." Daren opened his door slowly looking around the hallway for any soldiers. He then quickly opened it and closed it behind them. They started moving down the hallways and hurried down the stairs. As they reached outside the battle had definatly already happened. A couple street vendors shops were destoyed and bodies lay scattered on the streets. Daren looked back to Aun, "Stay close." Daren kept his lightsaber out but not ingnited and they ran against the walls of the city. It was still night but the lights had been set to their brightest setting and the change made it difficult to see in the new light. They moved in silence down the alleys and the corridors and didn't run into anyone. The Selkath and delcared marshall law. Daren was a Jedi so he'd be ok, but Aun could get in trouble. There was a group of five mercs outside the capital building, "We will have to fight our way in." Daren said but then he stopped and waved his hand in front of his face. "You are needed as backup at the landing pads." The mercs started talking to each other and then they quickly ran off towards the landing pad. Daren chuckled and turned to Aun, "I haven't been able to use that in a while." He said with a smirk as they moved towards the Captiol Building.

Aunna simply shrugged at his words and followed him out. As she had made clear before, she would get to the base and the ambassador inside by whatever means necessary. Following the man along the streets and through the shadows, she made certain that she wasn't seen by anyone around...not that there was anyone around. As he stopped and told her they would have to fight their way in, Aunna merely rolled her eyes. Some Jedi. He can't even think to use persuasion on them? Hmph...I might be better off on my own...she mused to herself. Just as she was about to propose the idea to him, the mysterious jedi did that very thing before turning to her and speaking again. Huffing in reply, she pulled an unamused face as if to ask why he hadn't thought of that FIRST. Rolling her eyes a bit, she peered around the area before darting to the next shadow which brought her to the gate that led to the capitol building. On the other side of it was the Republic sector of the city...right now, the Selkath and Sith sectors were NOT her ideal place to be, and this was the Selkath sector. Slipping through the gate and into the shadows of the trees and bushes there, Aunna easily slipped around the wall to the other gate that led to the republic sector. Without a thought as to what the "jedi" was doing, the young officer slunk through the gate and into the familiar Republic zone.
