Back before Rhissai was a member of the highest council of the Jedi Order, she was sent out on a mission to track down a Dark Jedi Master who had been responsible for more than a few murders. The woman had been tracking the Dark Master for weeks now, and yet she could not come up with a single lead... or even a hint at a lead... that she could work off of. Except for one: Samael Vorlax, the Dark Jedi's student, had been caught smuggling weapons to the Sith Empire. Captain Aunna Borgonia had been the one to detain him, though he was eventually released due to lack of evidence.
(a little back story)
The Jedi Master moved with a predatory grace that was rare among all species save the myriads of feline races that the galaxy had on its palette. Every single movement flowed gracefully into the next, even the act of putting her foot on the ground seemed to be precise and thought out before hand. It was because of this that the woman was generally given a wide berth by most people, Rhissai looked like some kind of predator just waiting for an excuse to pounce on her prey. Walking like this gave her the option to react quickly if something happened; like a Dark Jedi hopping out from around the corner or a group of Mandalorian mercenaries taking issue with her current location and deciding to attack her. Both of which had happened on missions similar to this in the past, and it almost always happened when she least expected it.
Rhissai quickly found herself standing before the doors of the Republican military base, inside there was a Captain Aunna Borgonia... that woman was the only reason why the Jedi Master was on that planet. She had dealt with the Dark Jedi Master's pupil, Samael Vorlax, in the past and she was the one to find him smuggling weapons to the Sith Empire. The charges on that front where dropped due to lack of evidence... which generally either meant that she lied, or Samael was good at what he did. In truth Master Arckan would not be surprised if it were the latter, she had not been very successful in gathering information regarding the Rutian Twi'lek or his master.
After a few queries on the Captain's position within the base Rhissai finally found someone that knew what he was talking about: a Sergeant who was serving under Aunna. NCOs: They were the real guys that fought, Rhissai had learned that much during her stay with the Aphithiri military. Even when the Aphithiri was a general she still respected the opinions of her enlisted men... most had seen far more combat than she ever would. After but a few minutes of walking the woman found the Captain and walked over to her with a suppressed sigh.
“Captain Borgonia, I am Jedi Master Rhissai'arckan... I am here to talk to you about a... Samael Vorlax.”
Rhissai waited for the Captain's reply.

(finally! able to play aun as herself...mostly...)
Aunna wasn't happy about being here. Not again, not after what happened last time she'd been here. The brunette was seriously beginning to hate this planet. It seemed that every time she arrived here something odd happened around her. Her first, and only, other experience here had included several 'visions'...if one could call them that since she only ever SAW something once...and so far she and her platoon had been called back to Manaan to await transfer to another planet, but apparently she was also to await the arrival of a jedi master. Frustrated by the waiting, she'd set to pacing around the small office of the Major in charge...one Major Vinay, a Mirialan with the most atrocious temper...and stuck up to boot. He was, to put it simply, an ass. Either way, he'd left her to wait here for the jedi.
Rolling her, still healing, right shoulder out, the blue eyed woman paused in her pacing as her comlink chirped at her, grating against her nerves and making her jump slightly. By the time the jedi woman had reached her, Aunna had managed to get her brother off the other end. It seemed he'd just heard about the incident between herself and Andrew, and he was out for blood. Well, she wasn't about to stop him, but she wasn't about to HELP him either. Of course she knew which direction he'd run off too, but she didn't know where he'd gone from there and personally, she didn't care. Let the man rot in the fires of hell for all she cared, he HAD tried to kill her after all. Sighing, Aunna leaned against the desk in the office, her back to the door, her heart fighting with itself as it tried to decide if she was more angry or hurt over the whole situation. THAT was how the jedi had found her.
Lifting her head from between her shoulders where it had drooped in her line of thinking, Aunna turned to look at the woman. Startlingly green eyes would meet the stormy blue eyes of the captain as she turned and lifted one eyebrow. True, the woman wasn't the first jedi she'd seen, but she was certainly the most odd...feeling?...one. There was something odd about the situation...it was almost uncomfortable to the 25 year old, as if she had met the woman before, or would again. Furrowing her brow at the feeling, Aunna shook it off and sighed, folding her arms across her chest and nodding to the other woman. She looked awfully young to be a master in the jedi...weren't most of them in their 30's or 40's at least? Again she shook off the thought.
Yes, I was instructed to wait here for you by Major Vinay. Forgive me if I don't remember your name, it's...well quite frankly, it's one of the longest I've heard since that chiss came through my old base.
Aunna shook her head slightly, that was neither relevant nor helpful.
Hmph, you're looking for Vorlax? I don't see why you would be, he's got some force abilities sure enough, but I don't think it's enough to warrant a Master to be sent out looking for him. Well, I'll help you if I can, but I can't promise I'll be of much use to you. Have a seat if you like, or we can go somewhere else. Which ever you would prefer.
Honestly, Aunna didn't like this office. It felt oppressive and far to...familiar...despite the fact that she'd not been there before. Every once in a while she would get a whiff of burning material and flesh, followed by a wave of sickness that typically accompanied the feeling she associated with death. No, she didn't like this place at all...what was worse...it was completely centered around this office. She didn't feel it anywhere else...just here. Leaning back against the desk casually, the brunette started slightly as she thought she heard Major Vinay shouting at her from down the hall...or, she THOUGHT it was down the hall....it was too muffled to even tell what he was shouting about, but she knew, she KNEW, he was shouting at her. Even as she waited for him to enter the room to continue his shouting, the voice trailed off into the distance. No...that wasn't a REAL voice, Aun....it's the same as that dratted rebreather you keep hearing...Force and stars girl, you need to get hold of yourself...those voices, the sounds and the smells and the feelings...they're NOT REAL....Hound's teeth I HATE this planet...can't WAIT to get away from it again.
On second thought, Master Jedi, I think it might be best if we take this conversation elsewhere....even if it's somewhere else within the base. This office makes me...uncomfortable.
Yes, that was the easiest way to put it, "uncomfortable," but it certainly didn't reveal the full scope of how, why, or just how MUCH it made her 'uncomfortable.'

Rhissai nodded at the Captain's statement about her “name,” it was indeed a long one... though technically it was not her name. Rhissai'arckan was a title amongst her people, the reason as to why she kept it after fleeing execution escaped the woman at that point in time. Though, perhaps it was a constant reminder of the dark times in her life, the times that she would prefer to forget. Yet she simply would not let herself forget the fact that she fell from the light and in effect caused harm to so many people. Even going so far as to shattering the minds of some “traitors” to the clan of the Fire Bird. These people were never traitors... they were simply common folk who were accused of being turncoats by their jealous neighbors. Or Slaves. Or on occasion even their own children. Rhiss gave slightly flicked her head, throwing off the musings as she refocused on the captain. Master Arckan gave out the slightest of chuckles before stifling the action.
“Little one, if I were to give you my entire name I would be forced to use more than one breath. Just call me Rhissai, Rhiss, or whatever you might desire.”
In truth, Rhissai didn't care what the woman called her, so long as she stayed civil, and it looked to be going in that direction. The Aphithiri gracefully moved over to a seat and sat down, taking care to not get her long raven hair pinned between the seat and her body. That was always dreadfully uncomfortable.
“Yes and no. Technically I am looking for Samael's master, but if seeking Vorlax brings me to the Dark Jedi... then Samael is indeed my quarry.”
Then, Rhissai noticed that Aunna had leaned back against the desk and sigh. It looked almost as if she were waiting for someone else to come through the door, someone that she wasn't too excited about seeing. It was not a minute later before a thought crept into Rhissai's mind, this thought was not hers... she knew that much. The young Aphithiri had not hated Manaan, quite the contrary: Given the choice she would live among the people of Ahto City. It must have been this Captain's thoughts... so SHE was a force sensitive, eh? Broadcasting thoughts? The Jedi would not respond to this thought of hers; most people found it rather... disturbing... when one replies to personal cerebrations.
The woman gave a slight nod at Aunna's statement, it was quite obvious that this particular room made her uncomfortable. Though the reason as to why this was so was beyond her... to Rhiss the walls that surrounded her where like any other: Plain, ordinary, mundane... though this may not have been the case with the woman who was before her.
“Of course, I will go wherever you prefer. Though I think that it may be best to head back to my ship if you would favor somewhere more private for our conversation.”
With that, the woman got up and headed out the door, taking care to hold it open for the young Captain. Politeness was a virtue that was rare amongst the people of this galaxy and because of this it was often looked at rather strangely. To the Aphithiri woman this was a sad fact, but a true one nonetheless. It took but a few minutes of prowling towards the docking bay that her ship was currently berthed, and upon reaching the door she pressed a combination of buttons on the keypad. Soon after the double doors slid open to reveal what easily had to be one of the ugliest ships that anyone could lay their eyes upon. Rhissai didn't care though; the Heaven had been with her through thick and thin, thin and thick. To her the ship was a beauty rivaling even the ships from the renowned Mon Calamari shipyards. The woman averted her stunningly green gaze back to Aunna and offered a little smirk, breaking the traditional stoic expression of the Jedi for but a moment before she quickly replaced it with the unemotional face that she had put on before.
“Here she is, beautiful isn't she?”
Without tarrying for another moment she began to walk towards her ship, once inside she again held the door open for the Captain and offered her a seat on one side of the fuselage. The cabin of the ship was by no stretch of the imagination spartan, but what else could one expect from one who led a life of self sacrifice? Some people often wondered if the term “luxurious” fit into a Jedi's personal dictionary. Rhissai herself wondered that very thing from time to time. The Jedi master decided to inquire as to what was wrong with Aunna... and why that rather mundane office had made her so “uncomfortable.”
“What is troubling you, child?”

Aunna bristled slightly as the woman called her "little one" it just didn't settle right with her...not one bit, there was something intimate about the term that she just couldn't tolerate from the jedi, and despite the fact that she was well meaning, it felt degrading coming from her. Besides, the woman couldn't have been much older than herself...maybe a year...MAYBE. She would hold her peace for now, however, and wait to see if it was perhaps just a one time deal. Nodding in understanding to the jedi's names, as well as her reasoning for looking for Vorlax, the young captain caught another whiff of smoldering rubble. Shifting uncomfortably, she practically shot up from her leaning position against the desk as Rhiss offered her ship as their destination.
Anywhere but here will do.
She stated and followed the jedi from the room. As Rhiss held the door open for her, Aunna smiled up at the woman, a rare sight these days, and passed through before waiting and following beside the jedi once again. Now that she was out of that room, the sapphire eyed captain was visibly more relaxed. Stuffing her hands in her pockets, she fiddled with the cylinder that was her collapsed spear. As the two passed along the halls of the base Aunna paused and watched a scene unfolding between two of her men and sighed slightly, walking over to them. Pausing to stand to the side and between the two, she folded her arms slightly and gave them a look that any frustrated mother might give her quarreling sons. The two stopped arguing immediately, their attention turning to the new comer. From the way the two men spoke it was obvious that Aunna was talking to them despite the fact that her back was to the jedi woman. After a moment, the more angry of the two men deflated visibly and the other patted his comrade on the shoulder, looking a bit ashamed himself. Only then did Aunna return to Rhiss' side and motion for her to lead on.
As they left the base, Aunna prepared herself for the oddities that surrounded her in the streets of Manaan. Oddly, however, the shadows...the visions, the sounds, and the song....that she had had upon her last experience of Manaan city life were noticeably gone. For this she was extremely thankful. When the reached the docking bay, however, things were much different. Stepping through the doors, the Corellian woman paused, tense, her eyes unfocused in the direction of the ship. She didn't even see it. No, instead she saw that same man she'd seen in the dive bar...the one that had beckoned her over only to vanish as she had started towards him. Her breath hitched in her chest and she watched him slip into the ship without the ship even being opened or the landing ramp be down. Only once Rhiss spoke again did she shake herself out of the trance she had seemed to slip into and notice the bucket of bolts that was the ship.
O-oh, well...she's not MY taste, but if she works for you...
That was the nobility in Aunna coming up to the front again. The breeding that made sure she was always polite. It was the polite way of saying: it's a complete mess, how does that hunk of junk even fly?! Following the jedi woman toward the ship, and then into it, Aunna heard the hissing breath of that rebreather once more, this time behind her. This time, however, it was accompanied by something else, something physical, warmth, like that of a body behind her, and a warm wash of air against her neck. Oddly enough, this made the earlier apparition seem less frightening, and even managed to sooth her slightly, like whatever...whoever...it was behind her was trustworthy, an alley that wouldn't let harm come to her. She couldn't tell why it she felt thus, but she felt it acutely, she even went so far as to look behind her, half expecting someone to be there close by...perhaps the rebreather masked man? Perhaps a guardian angel of sorts? Again, it wasn't until Rhiss had spoken that Aunna snapped from her trance, noticing that she had been offered a seat.
Taking the proffered seat, she slumped back into it gratefully and thought over the woman's question. She couldn't very well tell the jedi about the fact that she was seeing and hearing things and smelling things...and now FEELING things. Well, she could, but that would do her little good. Huffing, she was about to answer thus when again she heard that deep, rich, laughter. Aunna sat up then and did look around consciously, trying to pinpoint just where that intoxicating sound was coming from. Only too late did she realize her error. Blushing furiously, she knew she would have to explain now. Sighing, she sat back into the chair once again.
Heh...well...what troubles me. More like what DOESN'T trouble me? Where to start?
She paused and thought for a moment.
There's....a lot I need to explain but...I just...don't know where to start...I...I'm sorry.
She shook her head slightly and rubbed the back of her neck where she had felt that warm air wash against her skin. For a moment Aunna wished that she could feel that presence again, if only long enough to steady herself again.

“Curious...”
Rhiss noted how easy it was for Aun resolve the argument between the two quarreling men, she must not have relied on her position as a means to end the argument: If she had the two wouldn't have reacted as they did. Capt Borgonia would indeed turn out to be a great leader... few people had the respect of their men to that degree. Even Rhiss herself did not back when she was a General in her people's military. But then she was mostly leading “true-born,” and they tended to have a disdain for “free-birth scum” such as herself. The few to actually challenge her tended to end up on the wrong end of a lightsaber, a flurry of force-powered punches, and even a mental attack that ended in death once. Those days where behind her, however, that was back when she was a Dark Jedi.
Rhiss tilted her head as Aunna tensed up at the sight of her ship, it was quite obvious that the woman wasn't focusing on her ship but something else, something Rhiss couldn't see or sense. The Aphithiri tilted her head, if she didn't know better she would assume that the woman was experiencing a vision. She quickly shook that thought off however, even if she was a Force sensitive it wouldn't help to mention it... unless Rhiss actually needed to track Samael down. Then she would need someone who has been around him before... it would make her job worlds easier.
The woman prepared for an answer as Aun slumped back into the chair and seemed to be pondering her question. That was most certainly not good. There must have been much troubling this young woman. Aun's next actions confirmed Rhiss' suspicions: She suddenly shot up and began to look around as if she was trying to find something within the small cabin of the All Under Heaven. She offered a warm smile as the woman sat back down.
“Then start at the beginning, and there is no need to apologize. I have all the time in the world.”

Aunna sighed heavily and chuckled a bit, shaking her head. What could she say, honestly? It was such a stretch of the imagination that even she would have called herself insane if she'd not been experiencing everything herself.
The beginning...the easiest way to say that would be "I was born"...but I think I'll cut past that and skip straight to what's bothering me at this moment. Odd as it might sound I keep seeing...well, more than seeing...I'm seeing, hearing, smelling, FEELING things that aren't real.
She shook her head a bit, her waterfall of hair tied up into a long tail at the back of her head, allowing it to wave like a horse's tail. Already it sounded idiotic and she'd not even gotten down to the details yet.
The office for example...I...Every time I went in there to speak to Major Vinay, I would smell smoke, as if the place had been burnt, charred to a crisp, I could...well, there were...sensations...accompanying that smell, and they weren't pleasant. I can only spend so much time in that place because of it...but...it's only that one office. I also heard Major Vinay shouting...as if from down the hall, but, I knew he was shouting at me specifically, I just don't know why.
Then again, when we came into this hangar....I saw a man. I've seen him before, when I came here five years ago, though he wasn't real then either. I saw him walk up the ramp to your ship today, right before we entered.
Aunna paused, thinking over everything. Blue eyes strayed along the interior of the ship, looking, but not truly seeing before settling on a spot on the floor as one hand came to rest along the nape of her own neck where she'd felt that warm "breath" of air earlier.
Then...when we came in...I heard something behind me, it sounded like a rebreather, and felt...well....it was almost like someone was breathing near my neck. I could feel it against my skin...--and a warmth at my back, but I doubt I should tell her all of that. I sound insane enough as it is. I mean really...what am I going to say? "yeah it felt like there was someone standing inches behind me, but it's okay, he was a friend of mine, I could tell somehow, so I wasn't worried"...oh yes, that would go well Aun.--
The young captain let out a sigh and rubbed the back of her neck slightly before allowing her hand to settle itself in her lap again. Her eyes locked on her own hands and she was silent a moment longer.
Just a moment ago...I heard laughter....again. I mean...not again today, but...
She sighed again and ran a hand over her hair in her confusion and consternation at the situation, and her inability to explain without feeling even more foolish.
Again, last time I was here on Manaan...I heard laughter as I was passing this very hanger but...there was no one here...not even a ship....and it was the same laugh. I can only imagine it belongs to the man I keep seeing and hearing.
Groaning, Aunna leaned her head back against the backrest of the chair, her eyes closing in irritation at the whole ordeal. This was all insane...something in her had cracked, between Rook five years back, and Andrew a few weeks ago, something had to have cracked inside of her. That was the only explanation.
Heh...I swear the stress has just gotten to me...that's the only way my mind could come up with such idiotic illusions. They'll lock me up before long, I'd bet on it.
Sighing, she left her eyes closed for a moment longer, not daring to look at the jedi before her. No doubt her reaction would be some form of laughter, or condescending, or...who knew...maybe she would just think Aunna insane and leave her be.

Rhissai let a little smirk shatter her otherwise statue like facial features as the woman started off with her little snarky comment. To be honest the more that the Jedi saw of this woman the more she liked her. The Aphithri woman furrowed her brow as the rest of the statement left the blue-eyed woman's lips. At this point there were more than a few possibilities, though Rhiss quickly narrowed it down to two possibilities. First: Aunna may have been a Force sensitive... which may have been very likely depending on where she was born. If it was the core worlds she likely would have been picked up by the order... but that would not have been the case on the outer rim. Second: She was just plain off her rocker, but the Jedi saw no evidence (other than the said hallucinations) to support this.
The Jedi master mostly stayed silent during the woman's explanation of what she felt, heard, smelled, and saw during her stay on Manaan, only adding an “ah” and an “Mmhmm” when appropriate. Then she heard the woman's thoughts, not that she was actively listening... but the woman was broadcasting. Now there was only one explanation: She was a Force Sensitive who was seeing visions of things the future, past, or maybe even present (elsewhere.) The woman let an amused smile show through her stoic facade as she spoke, she even letting out a slight chuckle.
“You forget that you are talking to a Jedi, child. I have seen and sensed things that most people would consider insane.”
Rhiss gave her a warm smile, which could easily be misinterpreted as fake, as she spoke. That was the funny thing about Rhissai; many of her actions could easily be considered “fake” and often times she was labeled as a woman that puts up a “front” around various people. This was far from the case. While yes she did act different around various types of people she was rarely anything other than genuine one hundred percent of the time. Those fiery green eyes of hers seemed to grow soft as she spoke to Aunna again, almost as if to say “I understand.”
“I do not believe it is the stress, Aunna Borgonia. While yes, visions such as those are not exactly common place, they are far from uncommon. You are far from crazy, Aunna, I do believe that you are seeing things that have not yet come to pass. Though I cannot be certain for obvious reasons.”

There again was that derogatory "child"...the captain bristled, blue eyes hardening as she gazed back at the woman.
Why is she so condescending and derogatory?! Ugh, I may be young but I'm no child.
She sighed and shook her head. There was no point in getting upset over anything, the woman wasn't trying to be condescending...Aunna could tell, she wasn't entirely certain how, but she could.
I'll have to take your word for it Master Rhissai...I wouldn't know. I mean, odd things like this have happened before, but...nothing to this degree.
Again she shook her head and chuckled slightly. The conversation was getting off topic, they were supposed to be talking about these dark jedi she was looking for.
This is getting off topic though...you're looking for someone, Samael...how can I help you find him?
