Okay, I've got one more for you. Trying for frequent-flyer miles I guess. Female Twi'lek please. Haha, no worries. ;p Since Twi'leks have their Twi'leki (original) name that contained a clan name and also among other beings use a Basic form that splits the name up in a different way (and sometimes changing the meaning), so I'll give you both. (I had originally thought it was always just moving the comma one space to the left... i.e. Nawara Ven -> Nawar'aven.... but upon reading more later, it appears that it can be any split, as long as it's different). [There is more on this on Wookieepedia under Twi'lek > Society and Culture > Twi'lek Names, if you're curious about this and want to think about giving her two names different meanings...]. Anyway... here's some names. As always, you can mix/match, though it'll be a bit harder with the Twi'leki form, but I'm sure you could do it. ;p (There might be some others in a previous post/page... I might have done some female Twi'leks before...) Twileki / Basic: - Solas'cibre / Sola Scibre or Solasc Ibre - Varull'aaba / Var Ullaaba or Varulla Aba - Dasas'dawan / Dasa Sdawan or Da Sasdawan - Bel'upoaha / Belu Poaha - Moaasa'sda / Moa Asasda or Moaa Sasda There you go! Let me know if you have any questions about the splitting and such, or if you need more ideas. What would you call a male Cathar? A male Cathar. ;p Haha. Anyway... let me see. I don't think I've done Cathar before. Hmm, it seems they tend to have only one name. Here's some ideas: - Grado - Wessk - Isolle - Jaaso - Keemo - Vasdak Let me know if you need more.

Here's some ideas: - Grado - Wessk - Isolle - Jaaso - Keemo - Vasdak Let me know if you need more. Thanks, I was just curious as to what your take was one their names. I decided that their names are more African sounding in nature judging from their accents and that they are based on the African Lion. I'm assuming that most Cathars only have listed one name because the story they were used for didn't require them to mention a last name. From that I came up with the probably too complicated name: Abbabiya Simbassa or 'Biya for short. What do you think? Decent??

All right, Varull'aaba / Var Ullaaba it is! Thanks for the quick response as always! No problem. And you're welcome. From that I came up with the probably too complicated name: Abbabiya Simbassa or 'Biya for short. What do you think? Decent?? *shrug* There are other species as well I've encountered that only have one name. Sometimes that's all they need. But as there aren't a great deal of canon Cathars, it's possibly a last name was lost. As for the other part... I dunno. I seem to remember something in the Wookiee page that mentioned one having a Russian-type accent. I'm not sure if that sounds close to an "African" one though. ;p But your guess is as good as mine. And for the name you came up with, it's a good one. But to me, it sort of sounds more female to me. *shrug* In the end, it's your character and your name, so if you're comfortable, that's all that matters.

If it isn't too much trouble, might I ask for a list of names myself? The character I have in mind is a male Cathar, leaning towards the grey Jedi.
Thanks!

All righties... try some of these (it seems the majority of Cathars, from the examples on Wookieepedia, only have one name): - Gravassk - Narado - Ashrazzi - Tharrn - Lassando If you need more ideas, let me know.

No worries. Though I suppose I didn't really need gender for a surname, now that I think about it, haha. Let's see... Well, most Cathar tend to just use one name, but I can come up with some surnames if you'd like to use two names. Pavillace... - Yorsk - Woon - Xapas Plus, I'm sure I've done Cathar lists for others as well, if you have the time to look back at past pages in this thread. But if you'd like more ideas, just let me know.

Sorry for the wait, folks! I'll get going on these. Hi there! I was wondering if you could do up some Male Sullustan names for me. Male Sullustan: - Aben Tund - Lae Lum - Zien Gorb - Roran Vhur While I'm at it, could I get some Male Gotal names too? Male Gotal: - Korlin Roth - Barloc Jenth - Merkus Wurl - Lorric Gress Chili here again, sorry, I need two more and I didn't find either of them on this thread (or the other two, so this is a whole bunch of firsts!) So: -Male Houk -Male Nikto Male Houk (most on Wookieepedia seem to go by one name... but I'll include surnames in case you want to use it): - Flargo Nuk - Plorb Hith - Varok Urg - Drome Dacor Male Nikto (same for them, single names): - Tarvok - Caderac - Yuddo - Lysande There you go! For these and all the others... you can always mix/match to a combination you prefer more. Or I can always do up some others if you need more choices. Hey miss Mara! I am currently work on a Cathar character in a military application..her current name is Keitha Talls but want to make sure is proper Cathar. A simple green light or suggestions on other name would be greatly appreciated Thanks! Looks good to me! Love the first name. Surname perhaps could use some fluffing up to something more Cathar... but I do like it. It's really up to you, haha, if you want to change it. But if you want, you can check some of my other Cathar lists for some last names: swrponline2.proboards.com/thread/8458/maras-name-generator?q=catharOtherwise I can always come up with some more if you want.
