Discussion thread

This is the discussion thread for the upcoming battle between the Sith ship, and the Republic ship. I've decided to name my ship the Shadow's Leer, and I'll probably start off the thread with a rather dramatic speech from my admiral. His name is Asher MacRae, so his name would be Admiral MacRae, obviously. Once everyone has decided on their NPCs well start this junk. Really, this is going to be a very loosely regulated thread for the most part. I want it to be about the story, and not make everyone worry about character restriction, but I can't stress the realistic part of it enough.

All in all I wanted everyone to get a definite look at everyone's character, and I'll have a little time to set up the first post. Since, it'll probably be fairly inclusive, and I'll try to make it worthy of the thread. With all the people we have, this could be an awesome thread, and I hope you guys are excited.

Asher's fifty-seven, and a human born on Mygeeto. This man joined the Sith at a relatively young age, and has made his way to admiral through hard work. After he clawed his way to the top, he was given command of a ship, and has had it ever since. Now, being an esteemed admiral he has come to destroy a republic ship in an attempt to further the sith's campaign.

While my posts will be through Asher's eye, his XO will sort of be my NPC too. He's a little bit older, less ambitious guy who works well as a second in command, but will never make it much past that. Worn out, and tired of the war he has simply come in accordance to the will of the Sith Empire.

Hmm... I guess I'll go with Republic and even things about a bit. If Dire won't be taking the Republic Admiralty position, then I'll steal it for now.

Admiral Kota Atreides, human male career officer born of Corulag. He's the son of two retired naval personnel, and joined the Republic Navy out of school. However, unlike Asher, he's got connections in the military due to his parents and thus has always been in the spot-light, which has aided his rising up the ranks.

He's talented at what he does, but his care for his crew is somewhat of a weakness to him; however, his crew and those who have come to know him love Kota for his charisma. In his older years (he's 62) and somewhat jaded, he hopes soon to get out of the Navy and retire to his wife, which obviously won't happen.

The name of his ship will be Hand of the Revenant; it's been his ship since two years after his promotion to Admiral.

In accordance with Kota's counterpart, he has an executive officer at his side. However, this young lad is somewhat ambitious and rash in his decisions. Kota may find himself with a blaster bolt in his back before the end of this. However, I'd love for someone to take the XO spot if possible.

Btw, will we be in random space or in orbit above a planet?

James is a man skilled at his craft. He had a successful starcraft service business before being swept into service for the Sith. Despite his experience, aboard the Shadow's Leer, his superiors see him as barely more than the machines he maintains.

Acer fought her way up the military ladder the hard way, a woman in a world of men. If it beeps or runs on binary code, it's under Acer's jurisdiction. She has a sharp personality, and spares no cost to do her job.

Haha I knew someone would catch where I got the name from! I could re-name him Paul if you want.

Anywho, has anyone heard from Jace what he wants to be?

Btw, if need be, I can also role-play a secondary fighter-pilot if we can't get enough.

Kraul is a no nonsense kinda of guy. He is a dedicated soldier who has worked damned hard to get where he is today. A sharp person, he has a knack for finding inventive strategies/attack patterns. He is in charge of the Shadow Leer's Combat Information Center, an incredibly demanding job.

Posted! ^^ I've gone ahead and split my NPCs into different posts, in case it comes to a point where it flows better to have them in different places in the posting order, or something of that nature. :3

Why would she go for you? You're just the writer. xD That'd be like shooting the messenger. But if something unfortunate were to happen to the admiral...

you guys think I can drop in as a NPC for a interceptor squadron for the Republic? I'd be playing the role of Zer Prazi a Duros and commander of blue squadron, age 28... Who regardless of how things go, will either die in the final stages of the battle or sacrefice himself to try and change the tide of the battle?

or I can drop with my republic army Lieutenant Bryn Dremmor and be part of the troops inside the Hand of the Revenant

Well so far Kella, Kuhblam and I have posted. We're off to a good start, and its right in the heat of things. Anyone is open to post next.

Kozeph - Probably just pop in with your NPC character idea. I'm pretty sure, however, that the Republic ship is going to be just seconds from total system failure in the last scene, so take that as you will!
