Official Name: Cuyir Riduurok
Faction/Affiliation: none
Classification: medium freighter
Dimensions-
Height: 15m
Width: 35m
Length: 86m
Manufacturer: Sorusuub
Energy Source: Hypermatter reactor
Engine Unit: Heavily customized stock model Ion Engines
Speed: 2300G / 1,000km/h
Hyper drive: Heavily customized stock model
Rating: 1
Crew Necessity: 1-2
Armor/hull: Moderately armored (1.5m durasteel plating)
Shields: Military surplus corvette-grade particle and energy shielding with similar backups
Armament: One medium-heavy turbolaser (hard mounted fore)
Four medium dual ion cannon turrets (port and starboard amidships for both the dorsal and ventral surfaces)
Four assault concussion missile launchers (firing vertically, two from the dorsal and two from the ventral surfaces. They have one round each per battle as the spare rounds must be reloaded from outside the ship. In a pinch, Miran can send a droid outside to reload them during a battle, but it leaves both the droid and the Cuyir vulnerable to enemy fire).
Three point-defense light laser cannon turrets with dual gatling mounts (Essentially, these are three laser cannon stripped from a starfighter and placed in a triple, gatling-style mounting. These mountings are then mounted on either side of an armored targeting array. They are placed fore and aft dorsal surface, and fore ventral).
Two tractor beams for holding moderately sized vessels (they're stronger than the Cuyir's engines, but cannot be used while dedicating power to the weapons) and a stealthy internal defense network round off her weapons systems. The weapons turrets are retracted within the ship during normal operations and are fitted within specially designed compartments lined with a paper thin layer of neuranium to shield against sensor scans. When the weapons are powered, however, the sensor shielding is virtually worthless. There are very few things on a starship that take the kind of power that weapons systems do.
[Essentially, she sacrificed about a thousand metric tons of cargo space (approximately five thousand seven hundred fifty cubic meters, resulting in a cargo bay of approx 250 cubic meters, with the remainder of the 15000 or so cubic meters of the vessel dedicated to crew quarters and ship's systems), and a great deal of her crew space as well, for these weapons and support systems. The reactor alone takes up nearly a third of the vessel, let alone fuel supplies. While it might seem rather over-powered, consider the limitations placed upon the Cuyir and it's accurately balanced with a corvette's firepower, which is about what this ship is designed to be. In addition, she's sacrificing the armor that a corvette would normally have (usually about 4-5m) and fuel supplies, to stash them all within her holds. She has only about twenty minutes of operating time at full power (which is running with full shielding, weapons powered, and engines running at full military).]
Passenger Capacity: 12
Cargo Capacity: 25 metric tons or 200 cubic meters
Consumables: 3 months
Hanger Facilities/Starfighter Capacity: N/A
Other: Two cortosis weave docking ports (port and starboard), Cargo elevator, super computer, internal (hidden) armory, six internal holding cells (hidden away behind a false bulkhead in the cargo holds), hidden internal compartments
Description/role:
The Cuyir Riduurok is a beauty in flight. Perfectly tuned ion engines move her eighty-six meters of aerodynamically shaped metal quickly and efficiently. The vessel is originally of Sorosuub design, a company famous for it's yachts, and the Cuyir Riduurok was designed to perform in virtually any environment. A few hundred thousand credits, hundreds of square meters of hidden cargo space, and a week or so, and this luxurious cargo vessel was turned into a well camouflaged warship.
Most would believe her to be a rich-kid's yacht if they weren't familiar with the craft, and the well-furnished interior furthers that appearance. Hidden in various locations thruout the spacious living space are a total of seventeen hidden compartments for things such as highly illegal weapons and grenades, illegal armor suits from dead (officially MIA) military personnel, and a variety of forged documents. The only thing that might hint at the illicit nature of her owners is the full gym with a sparring ring and a variety of melee weapons, not the least of which being force pikes pioneered for protecting the republic's supreme chancellor.
A dozen astromech droids manage caring for the computer and smaller maintenance tasks. They are also wirelessly rigged thru a series of cameras and servomotors which manage the Cuyir's extensive weapon systems, a result of her husband's love of the droids and their precision targeting. They work in tangent with a specially built supercomputer to increase their efficiency in most of their daily tasks, as well as being able to hit the broadside of a maneuvering credit chit at twelve light seconds with a moderate scale laser cannon. Other convenient aspects of this arrangement are the simple yet effective management of waste, maintenance at starports, and hassle-free collections of music and holovids sliced from whatever network they plug the computer into during said maintenance sessions. When Miran's traditionally explosive methods are ineffective, she usually has a comm line open to the computer.
The internal defense systems are designed primarily to delay or disable attackers. Particle shielding in key corridors, stun and sonic weapons placed seemingly at random, and even the occasional trip-wire. There are four lethal traps, however, each guarding vital portions of the vessel. These traps, positioned in corridors out-side the bridge, crew quarters, cargo hold, and engineering sections, consist of a mono-filament mesh launched at high-velocity from a stationary cannon. Along with a cleaning droid to clean the fries and soup off the floor, walls, and ceiling and dumps them into the hypermatter reactor. Anyone not authorized would be fired upon with a net specifically designed to fill the entire corridor. Against an armored target that would be a minor to moderate inconvenience (depending on the grade of armor), but against an unarmored spy or stupid customs agent, it is unfailingly lethal.
