Selkath Declare kolto Shortage Over
The Manaan government issued a declaration earlier about the Kolto shortage finally coming to an end. When asked what was causing this mysterious lack, the Selkath officials refused to release an official statement, saying only that ‘there was an unauthorized mining facility found in the area and more investigation is needed before we can officially comment on the matter.’
Whatever the reason for the shortage was, it seems to be cleared up. Exports on kolto are slowly returning to their normal quantities and are expected to be back at ideal numbers within the next year. The toll of the shortage will be visible for the next few years though, as all sides worth to recoup lost kolto amounts.
Prior this announcement, piracy involving kolto trade vessels had been on the rise, further aggravating the shortage of this amazing material. Earlier, republic authorities had broken up a kolto smuggling ring founded on attacks of trade vessels leaving Manaan. Siezing more then 500,000 credits worth of Kolto, authorities are glad that things will be getting back to normal soon and hope to see such attacks decline in number.
However, questions still remain about this mysterious scarcity; many sources report hearing a large explosion in the Hrakerk Rift, with a shockwave that could be felt by any craft in nearby waters at the time. There are also reports of a giant Firaxen spotted in the area- a creature that has been witnessed to be well over 5 times the size of a normal firaxen shark.
But no matter what the details are, the entire galaxy can sleep well knowing that more kolto is on its way, and hope for a full statement from the Manaan government.
This is Belas Ryant for HNN, saying goodnight.
