Planet Name: Toridas
Planet Type: Cryo-terrestrial
Habitable: Restrictive
System: Hyönus
Terrain Overview: Semi-desolate; ice tundra, mountainous ranges, frozen oceans and numerous arctic phenomenons: Toridas is a encompassing ice world of many spectacular species of flora and fauna, in spite of it's extreme climate.
Notable Geographic Features: Although not geographical per se, the most notable feature of Toridas are the Hyönus Lights, stellar flares that bizarrely linger over Toridas' atmosphere due to the effects of the conflicting forces between Toridas' gravitational pull and the singularity black hole in the center of the Deep Core. This occurs only once every 158 revolutions around Hyönus.
Other geographical features include organic crystalline formations, such the Amite herb and Vjua plant, which are the common diet of many indigenous herbivores. In addition, Toridas' underwater oceans extend via channels through virtually every area of the planet's surface, allowing transit to any part of Toridas through underwater access.
Capital City: (N/A)
Major cities: (N/A)
Sentient species: (None indigenous; various species immigrated)
Non-Sentient species of note:
Majars: Enormous four-legged herbivores with excessive fur and large overdeveloped horns across their backs. Majars live in herds to protect themselves from the desperate and vicious predators around them. Because they are slow and large, they are often stalked by predators frequently.
Hetawolves: Hetawolves are pack hunters, slender reptilian quadrupeds with hard scales and and powerful legs. Hetawolves are almost completely blind, and rely on their highly acute sense of smell and hearing, which are more reliable when caught in one of Toridas' countless blizzards. Hetawolves are never prone to disobedience from the alpha male and female and, although they rest together, the entire pack is never asleep unitedly at the same time.
Levea: Rapid swimming aquatic omnivores, Levea are an oceanic sea-dwelling creatures. Sensitive to heat, their bodies radiate at nearly 141 degrees, and are biologically hyperkinetic and violent. Levea very seldom are attacked by any species beside their own.
Haar dragons: Haar dragons are large, long, quadrupedal creatures, and the dominant predators on Toridas. Living in isolation from others of their species, Haar dragons rarely interact with other Haar dragons, aside from mating. Fighting among them are virtually non-existent, and Haar dragons strangely have thick armor-like scales penetrated by mangled and padded fur. Haar dragons are the only predators on Toridas that are capable of hunting a Majar on its own.
Blegiigs: Blegiigs are fast, woolly herbivores with two long forearms extending from their backs. Blegiigs are fiercely territorial and live in herds, and are the primary target of Hetawolves.
History: Toridas was discovered roughly 12,400 BBY by Republic enlisted explorers in an effort to chart the Deep Core and discover lost routes back into it. Toridas was discovered approximately four years after the expedition began, and was the only planet documented by the expedition team. However, met unprepared by relentlessness blizzards, ravenous predators, and other unpredictable dangers, the team survived only for six days before they fell to Toridas' surface.
With the radio signals only partially reaching the Republic, the upper echelon declared exploration into the Deep Core too unnecessarily dangerous to resume exploration, and the exploration effort into the Deep Core was halted. Although its location was recorded in the archived files, Toridas remained untouched ever since, until it was chosen by a cabal within the Republic government as the base for a clandestine base. Taking advantage of Toridas' harsh environment and dangerous predatory creatures for survival purposes and seclusion, Toridas was restrictively habituated by a select group of conscripted candidates.
